Experiments.
That's all we ever were, that's all we'd ever be
To them….
So why did it still hurt so much, when they cast us aside?
When they called us useless or stupid time and time again,
They never loved us, they never saw us as human, not even from the second we were created
Born just the same form as any other human,
We look the same, we feel the same, work the same and understand the same
And yet to them we were nothing but monsters, dolls, shells of a human beings they could do as they wish with
Many refused to run away, many resisted
What happened to those that chose to stay? Did they end up better? Did they gain something we didn't? What if all of this was for nothing?
The doctors says it was good, the doctors says we did what was right.
The doctors is the only one who ever cared for us,
That's why the doctors brought us here, somewhere we'd be safe, at least for the time being they said….
They promised they wouldn't leave us, that they'd be with us forever
So where did they go?….
Why did they leave us here, in a world we never knew or learnt about to fend for ourselves?
Is it just a game, are they just torturing us in knew ways they find amusing?
Or did..
They really want us to do as they said?
To pretend we were them, to stay with them-
Then again, even those words….
They meant we weren't human.

That we'd never be.

Hello everyone!! This will be a time jump based rp, that meaning we'll be bouncing around in 'chapters' if you'll have it from their time before IN the facility, and then back to present day where they're OUT. The former being much shorter bursts, the coming up with this I brought inspiration from two of my previous roleplay's hosted in a similar circumstance, One titled E.R.A.A a more harsh and experimental training facility for those of the human race effected by a radiation induced genetic mutation which resulted in Boku no hero type powers, and another named The Garden, focusing on the lives of what remains of the human population in centuries to come after war and destruction brought down half the world, and the other has been reclaimed by nature, the last hope for humanity being a group of teens taken from their families and off the streets to be genetically altered by the last standing government to supposedly save the human race.

As in the title for all of these it's based somewhat around the anime, Darling in the FRANXX & the manga of sorts, MAXIMUM Ride. This will combine both those elements but far more focus on a newer, Chinese anime titled Jikken-hin Kazoku, which, although a lot lighter in themes than this will be, the series revolves around the basic plot premise of a series of escaped child and teenager experiments from mad scientist parents escape into the real world, a small island off the coast of where they were being kept. This will centre around far more of the latter two media than the former, but none the less a world combination of all combined works well.

Think to take a sort of Coppelion (the anime) world setting, a modern/minor futuristic japan split into a section of islands. T
he experiments previously grown as test tube children and born without the need of a mother or farther are essentially variants of what the government saw as perfect clones at first, however after time soon realised they were individual, and instead of the lifeless robot they wanted they had living, breathing children to deal with, each developing unique personalities, interests and more.

They tried to limit this, the scientists who were never well morale beings in the first place were told to be colder, they were to never show the children any attention or love in any form outside of testing, and limit contact as much as possible from the adults in the facility, their awareness of the flaw in letting them interact together being planned out ahead, it turned from a chance to see how far they could change and empower the human body, to one of seeing how a group of pre adolescents would form together without any other interaction or stimulation of the outside world, no politics, no outside opinions, just them and their powers.

Though like any knowledge hungry leader, they failed to stop soon enough, ignoring warnings, almost obsessed with their own subjects like they were some strange alien creature who they had no idea what they'd do next.

And of course something broke, human feelings come in, a pair of scientists asking, pleading the children to revolt, those in charge of brain activity and emotional development scans, Doctor Hiroko & Doctor Kamae, a married couple who saw for themselves how well- for lack of better words, human, the children were, there was nothing that separated them apart from their abilities to that of a normal child, they didn't deserve to be locked up and tortured their whole lives for the chance of progress to save something the people in power themselves had already caused, that's what they truely believed, and so, they broke them out, many children refused, some desperate part of them clinging onto the hope the scientists cared about them, others already too broken to even respond. But those that could come, those that fought for freedom rushed from that place like the place was on fire, and a few minuet afterwards, it was.

There's no proof to this day if the doctors started the fire, of if it was some freak accident with coincidental timing, either way, the lab and those who didn't manage to flee, were taken out in one fell swoop, however the housing of the children and main laboratory stayed firmly intact.

They ran as far as they could, taking boat after boat before seeking shelter in one of the quietest, most unsuspecting places to look, an island off the coast of new day Tokyo, what the mainland would now consider 'rural' was a busty package of modern day houses and comfortable technologies, though the streets still carried a healthy amount of people and the lush forrests along the edge and calming beaches gave it a look hard to find in present day elsewhere, a place untouched by-
1010111010001010010100….

The children, now teens by the time of breakout were left in what was meant to be a temporary housing unit on the edge of the island, the doctors had promised to only leave for a few days, a couple weeks at best, and yet- they'd never returned.

Sooner or later the children were going to have to leave the house, the small group would have to venture into a world they were so unsure about, with no guide except the stretched truths they'd seen and heard of on the few channels accessible on the t.v.

Wether society would find out their secrets, their differences and treat them as outcasts, monsters, or their identities would remain hidden, would be up to them,

And most importantly, who they choose to trust.
