"Five years," the merchant sighed happily as he loaded his stand with the final load of product he'd be selling that day. It had been five years since the Northuldrans and Arrendellians were united and the dam destroyed. Five years since Anna was crowned Queen, and Kristoff appointed her consort. Of course the marriage was brilliant, amazing decorations, dances, singers and bands, not to mention fire-breathers, stilt-walkers and other performers that made it a splendid show of love and fun, and most of all, unity.

Some women walked past and were discussing the latest gossip. "Oh, did you hear?" One said to her fellows, "there's supposed to be another wedding! Elsa is getting married!"
"Oh, that's hogwash!" Her large compatriot bellowed with a wave of her hand. "That is just part of the rumor mill. But if you really want some juicy news," she leaned in and whispered, "There's stories of another continent filled with magic, similar to ours, but," She looked up and around to make sure no-one else was listening, then back to her group of gossiping girlies, "The elements there aren't independent like ours are."

A group of fishermen were pulling in their netting, discussing similar issues. "Is it true that the fifth element in the other continent is a man?"
"That's -grunt- what I heard," his pal next to him said as he helped tie up the lashings of their boat.
Three others walked down the gangplank from their ship and joined in. "I heard he's supposed to be the king of the air, or something like that."
"Yeah, and supposedly he disappeared a few years ago. They say no-one knows why."

Anna was on the main balcony next to her sister, looking at the preparations for the fifth anniversary of the Enchanted Forest's freedom. Enchantment Day is what it had been named. She took in a deep breath and turned to her sister, grabbing on to her arm and jumping up and down like she did as a child. "Isn't it exciting, Elsa? All the nations of our continent are coming to celebrate Enchantment Day!" She looked out and saw little dots on the ocean's horizon. "And look! More people are coming! Isn't this great?"

Enchantment Day. Every year, this festival was held as a celebration of the events that took place five years ago. Anna's marriage to Kristoff, her new position of Queen of Arendelle. Elsa learning of her place as the fifth element and choosing to stay in the Enchanted Forest that had been freed thanks to the sisters. The dam being destroyed and the union of the two places.

Anna latched onto Elsa's arm, jumping giddily as she had as a child. Not that much had changed about the younger sister-- Anna was still her goofy self, Queen or not.

"It's amazing." Elsa agreed, smiling at the redhead. Of course, so many people would normally make her uneasy, but ever since she had discovered her true self, she was more confident than ever. Her power had grown with every passing day. She had bloomed into a beautiful spirit, controlling her ice powers better than she could have imagined. Things like this didn't frighten her anymore.

Her long hair, worn loose and flowing, billowed in the breeze. It was such a beautiful day, perfect for a celebration such as this. Nothing could ruin this. Nothing.

"Well, then, I suppose we should go greet our guests." Elsa suggested, looking over at Anna. Northauldrans, Arendellians, and visitors from all over had come to join in the festivities, and Arendelle was kind enough to host them all. Elsa felt more at ease in the forest, where the elements roamed freely, but this Kingdom would always be home.

The royal heirs from Afrilos, dark-skinned tribal people from the southern part of the continent arrived in caravans of elephants and carts, filled with linen, herbs, spices and gold, as well as food native to their lands.
Senate Leaders from Ameridae, a structured country made up almost entirely of a vast metropolis came in several steam-powered mechanized beasts that were laden with vendors from every part of their land. There were those that boasted steamed chicken and dozens of styles of bread, others that prided themselves on grilled steak and turkey, and even others that took their confidence in herbal masterpieces that were both filling and delicious. Their merchants brought man-made tools that could help in any trade.
There were the tribal leaders of Navjida that came mostly on foot, their people with them carrying freshly prepared deer and rabbit. They were a civilized, but traditional folk, capitalizing on the food that nature provided. They also brought feathers, beads and paints.
The Viking clan leaders of Celtishda came down the river from the northeast in their warships decorated in peaceful flair. Their merchants with them bore a cacophony of food that was from a vast variety of animals and crops. Their sellers brought fine furs, armor and a variety of weapons, both personal and military.
The final contiguous nation to grace the good people of Arrendale were the Crown Prince and Princess to the Emperor of Orielten. It was a vast, peaceful empire that spanned the majority of the eastern part of the continent. Some viewed them as tyrants, but the truth was that if a village, city or country asked for their help, they provided it in full, in return for their citizenship. They brought a variety of food and wares that could only be described once one had partaken of it.

The ships on the horizon were getting ever closer, their origin unknown. The five spirits felt a strong foreboding about these newcomers, but they couldn't place why.

Elsa led her sister off of the balcony, winding through the castle halls as they continued their chitchat. The ice queen had a strange feeling at the back of her mind, her happiness tinged with a small amount of unease. She was unable to tell what was causing the minor anxiety, and hid it well from her younger sister.

She would let nothing ruin this day.

As they reached the entryway, she began greeting the leaders of the different continents. It seemed many had made a very long journey to join them for this momentous occasion, traveling across the world with items to trade and sell. Elsa made polite conversation with those the sisters came across, letting Anna take the lead. After all, she was the Queen of Arendelle, so it was her place as host to make the others feel welcome.

As they made their way outside, the elemental found herself gazing across the fjords to the horizon, where still more boats were making their way to the small kingdom. Brows furrowed, she leaned towards Anna. "Who is that?" She asked. The feeling of unease she had was growing with each passing moment as the ships drew nearer.

Anna looked to her sister, smiling broadly after being gifted with a necklace of pearls from some Orielten oyster divers. Her smile faded into a look of curiosity as she shielded her eyes with her hand. "I...I'm not sure Elsa. These are all the nations that we sent summons to and that requested to attend..." Her look turned into a serious one of decision. "I'll have an envoy go out and meet them." She turned to one of the royal attendees with her and gave instructions, and a few minutes later, a small corvette was sailing out to meet the newcomers.

Arrendale was peaceful, but they did have defenses at the ready in case of-BOOOMMM!!! The emissary ship was blown to splinters as it left the fjord, some of the wood lodging itself in buildings and people. "To the cliffs!" Anna screamed to her subjects and guests. The foreigners that came that were battle-ready stayed while they sent their unarmed counterparts into the cliffs with the rest of Arrendale, while they stayed at Anna and Elsa's side to help against the new threat. As the populous was heading up the hill, a fireball landed in the forest above them, thus blocking their chance of escape. Some of those in front lost their lives due to the immense heat or falling, burning timber.

Anna looked out at the attackers, whose ships were approaching at a rapid pace, much too fast for normal sails. She could see trails of flame behind the ships, propelling them forward. She looked at her sister with a determined face and nodded, then called for a sword.

Elsa tried to remain calm as Anna gave orders to intercept the incoming ship. Soon, a small boat was sent out to meet them partway, most likely to figure out who it was onboard and what in the world they were doing here without having sent word of their arrival.

The calm turned to astonishment as the corvette was blown to pieces, scattering wood across the fjord. "Hostiles?" Elsa asked in disbelief. Their peaceful gathering was about to turn into something horrifying.

Evacuees were sent up toward the forest, all non-combatants making their way away from the city. Before they made it very far, the path was blocked with a fireball, which lit the trees ablaze and swallowed some of the townspeople in its fiery inferno.

Anna called for a sword, and Elsa looked at her sister with more than just confusion in her gaze. This wasn't meant to happen. How could this happen?!

"Whoever it is, we can take them." The elder sister reassured the young Queen. "We will protect Arendelle." It was a promise she could only hope to keep.

The ship was propelled by fire, which pushed it smoothly across the waters. How? That was something that Elsa had never seen done before. She moved out of the safety of the castle, ready to fight alongside Anna.

The ships came into the fjord, blasting through any and all ships, canoes or other vessels that stood in their way. When the word bblasted is mentioned, it literally means BLASTED. The unfortunate vessels to stand in their way were blown to smithereens by a force of fire not even seen by Northauldrans. Anna steamed herself, holding the sword and shield she had been given, Kristoff and Sven at her side. Even Olaf joined in, looking cutely determined as he dug a snowball from his body.

The ships stopped at the port, turning so their sides were exposed. The Ameridaeans reconfigured one of their steam powered wheeled machines into an artillery piece, but before it could be deployed, it was blasted by a fireball from a cannon onboard the frigate. The rest of the foreign warriors along with Northauldrans and Arrendellians lost all morale when even a technological marvel stood no chance against this threat.

Olaf threw his snowball which grew astronomically in size by the time it had reacjed the water, but it was turned into steam as soon as it touched the boat. A gangplank was ejected from the closest ship as well as its counterparts. Everyone on shore looked at Elsa. She was their only hope. The four spirits stood ready: Gale swirling above her, Nokk rising up from the fountain, the earth giants looking over from the cliffs and the fire toad growling on her shoulder.

Soldiers in vibrant red armor piled off the ships in droves, blasting the defense group with weapons that literally spit balls plumes of flame.

The Giants snuffed the cliff fire out and blocked the oncoming fireballs to allow the civilians to evacuate. Gale blew the flames into the fjord. Nokk doused as much as she could, and Toad tried controlling it but couldn't.

The elements surrounded Elsa, preparing for battle. The blonde woman realized everyone was staring at her, terror on their faces, and she knew she was possibly their only hope against this unknown enemy.

She rushed forward, dodging incoming attacks with shields of ice and drawing nearer to the ship. As soldiers began rushing off the gangplanks, Elsa drew water from the fjords straight up in icy pillars, knocking the planks clear off and sending the attackers flying. She turned her magic to the boat itself, looking for the source of the fireballs.

Upon locating the cannons, she blasted ice into them, hoping to destroy them and prevent any more balls of flame from hurtling toward the kingdom or to the woods where the escaping townspeople were huddled in fear.

Glancing up the hillside, she saw that most of the fire had been extinguished, allowing the fleeing people to continue making their way away from Arendelle.

More soldiers were incoming, new gangplanks being lowered or men simply jumping down to the dock. She created new shields around her to try to deflect the ammunition they bore, new ice replacing damaged ice. The fire burned through her defenses but she stayed mobile, avoiding the worst of it.

When soldiers approached, she made the dock itself slick with a thin frozen sheet, sending them plummeting into the water below. When she was able, she peeked around to make sure that the others defending the kingdom were not harmed too badly in the battle, protecting them as she could.

As Elsa defended her comrades and her city/country from the onslaught, the last of the civilians escaped...except for one. A little boy about 10 years old was hiding under a carriage, his parents on the ground next to him, motionless. Anna heard him crying, pleading for help but couldn't get past the fire-breathing weapons that their invaders wielded.

For every soldier Elsa killed, three more took his place. Despite her improved strength and experience, she was still human. The soldiers' aim was to wear her down, and it started working. Anna called out to her, "Elsa!" And pointed at the harbor. A new destroyer had emerged from behind the mountains that protected the fjord, and it had a cannon on it - no, in it. No - it was built around the cannon. The giant fire-breathing machine's mouth started glowing as it was aimed for the city. Anna despaired. Elsa was too busy to conjure a shield to cover the entire mountain, and they had nothing to combat it with.

Even as the newcomer dropped morale even further, mechanized artillery rolled off the frigates along with the seemingly endless stream of soldiers.

Then, it fired. From the cannon flew a veritable stream of lava. The stream of flame streaked overhead. Toad tried desperately to fight it, but dropped to the pavement with a squeak, looking up at Elsa with a look of failure. Nokk and Gale joined forces, but the flame was too hot even for them. They splashed/blew back down to the fountain, trying to recover. The Giants did all they could to cover the civilians at the cliffs from the onslaught of liquid flame.

Just as it reached the city, it...stopped. It was like an invisible dome had formed over them and the lava slid down harmlessly into the fjord. A loud BOOM! was both heard and felt, and the little boy stoped crying. Anna looked over and saw a tall man in a white leather trenchcoat with sun-blonde hair and steel-blue eyes holding the young man's hand. Around him was a small crater. Then, the boy flew - yes, flew - up the mountain on invisible wings to the others.

Then, to the untrained eye, he disappeared. Lightning crackled and there was an explosion in the harbor. She looked and saw the giant beast of horror had been cleft in two. A beam of light caught her eye and she was confused for a second as she saw it hover above the water, then the beam flew down to the other ships. Her eyes widened when it got closer and she saw it was the same man wrapped in lightning. She looked at Elsa, relief, confusion and fear in her eyes.

The soldiers seemed endless, piling onto the docks and surrounding Elsa. It was as if their goal was simply to wear her down, and it was definitely working. She was only one person, and though she had become incredibly strong over the last few years, there was still only one of her and possibly hundreds of attackers.

Practically panting from the amount of energy she was using to keep herself shielded from their projectiles, she used her ice spikes to barricade the men on the docks, not letting any more pass her without being skewered. It was all she could do to protect the others.

She saw the lava cannon, but she was too worn out -- not to mention distracted just trying to stay alive -- to do anything about it. Elsa watched in horror as the cannon went off, spraying a huge stream of lava toward Arendelle and the people on the mountain. "No!" She cried out, desperation in her voice. She had to protect them!

But as the molten lava reached its goal, it stopped, as if blocked by an invisible barrier. It rolled off, plunging into the sea and leaving Arendelle intact. After a sigh of relief, the elemental looked around for the source and eventually saw a man with blonde hair and blue eyes, seemingly controlling lightning. He shattered the enemy ship, and it sunk into the fjord.

Elsa retreated to where Anna stood, looking relieved but confused. The attacks had stopped coming for now, so Elsa wanted to check on her sister first and foremost. "Are you alright?" She asked, her hands wringing in front of her nervously. It was an old habit she had since she was younger, but she thought she had broken it when she learned of her new power. It seemed that her sister being in danger brought it back to the surface.

"Who is that?" Elsa wondered aloud, looking at the man. He had saved them all, but she was still wary. After all, they had just been attacked on the most joyous of days. She wasn't about to trust just anyone, especially someone with that kind of power.

Anna tackled her sister as she asked her if she was alright. "Watch out!" She cried as her sister had forgotten about the soldiers and machines still left on the shore. Elsa had killed most of them, but several were still standing with their mechanized companions to boot.

The fire bolts that were meant for Elsa passed over them harmlessly thanks to Anna's quick thinking. But Kristoff wasn't so lucky. "A...Anna," the consort croaked out as a hole the width of a finger sat scorching through his left lung. He hit his knees and wobbled for a second before collapsing to the ground. The Queen of Arrendelle screamed out her groom's name, desperate to get to him but was held back by her wiser sister. "I have to grt to him!" She screamed. "Stop! Elsaaa!"

The remaining invaders were about to fire on them again, with their machine's turrets turned in their direction. They were wheeled vehicles that looked like they had larger versions of the handheld fire weapons on top that panned this way and that. As they fired, Anna was about to scream again but stopped when the man from before landed between them and their tormentors. "No..." She said quietly as the fire approached him. "You...you have to move..." Then the fire engulfed him, the bolts traveling faster than arrows.

Anna would have wondered why the bolts that weren't aimed at him didn't proceed past, but she was still grieving over her husband's untimely death. Then all the fire disappeared, and the land almost seemed dark as the natural sunlight overtook them again. A phoenix flew overhead, having come from the downed destroyer and landed on the shoulder of the stranger. It cooed and nuzzled the man's cheek, who rewarded it with a finger rub to its chest. He was just feet away from the pair so his voice could be heard, even as the enemy tried shooting him but their weapons only poured out smoke.

A deep voice similar to Hans' but with more depth rang out. "Ah...Phalanx. I'm very sorry I wasn't able to free you sooner, my friend." The mystical bird squaked and shook its head, followed by another coo. Anna furrowed her eyebrows, but Elsa would be able to understand what it said. The man laughed heartily, hands on his hips. "Oh Phalanx. I see you haven't lost your sense of humor." He dried a tear from his eye, then looked back at the two queens with a look of concern.

He saw they weren't injured, but saw the destruction and death these invaders had brought. The bird let out a regal call, flapped its wings, then burst into flame and disappeared. The flame that had previously been dormant lit ablaze around his forearms as his gaze turned on to the fire-wielders, his face burning with a fury that matched the heat he now controlled. His voice echoed with a wrath that could only be felt by one with an affinity to the elements. "You will pay for those you have harmed." And he extended his right arm, the flame bending to his will as it shot out to the invaders.

Elsa had let her guard down, and the soldiers had readied their weapons again. She wouldn't have enough time to block the attacks on Anna and herself.

Somehow, they missed, probably thanks to Anna pushing her at the last moment. However, this caused the projectiles to wizz past the sisters, and one landed in Kristoff's chest. The man crumbled to the ground and Anna tried to run to him, but Elsa held her back. If she neared Kristoff, she would be an easy target for the men who seemed intent on killing them.

"Anna, you can't!" Elsa said, looking at her sister sympathetically. The man from earlier blocked the fund's path now -- he was standing between the soldiers and the two Queens. Anna feebly told him to move, that he would be killed too, but he stood his ground.

Then something unbelievable happened -- well, as unbelievable as any of the other crazy things that had happened to Anna and Elsa before. A Phoenix rose from the water and met the stranger who was protecting Arendelle, and Elsa was able to understand it when it spoke back to him.

According to Anna's bewildered expression, she could not.

Then the mysterious savior turned to the rest of the men, fire blazing around him.

"How is this possible?" Elsa asked, her voice barely above a whisper. "He's controlling more than one element at a time. I didn't think something like that was even possible..."

The phoenix hadn't stolen their fire. It had simply snuffed all fire in the vicinity before becoming one with her fifth spirit. The fire that spewed anew from the enemy spilled around him, but instead of fight it, he moved gracefully and let it move around him, bending it to his will. He shot back just as muck as they gave, and the battle seemed to be turning in Arrenedelle's favor - until the ships inside the invisible dome turned to fire their cannons at the newcomer.

He was busy fighting the ground forces, keeping them at bay. He did take note of the new threat but kept his focus on his current target. Each time a soldier would try to break through to get to the defenders or up the mountain, he would do everything he could to block their way. Just as the final cannons were being loaded the man raised his right hand, and the water in the port lifted like a reverse tidal wave and tipped the boats over.

But more kept coming from the ocean. It was as if they just didn't have a limit. The dome faltered and the rest of the fleet was able to come through, although some were taken by the reverse wave. He had just finished off the last machine and the fire dissipated from around him, and he went to Kristoff's side. He looked at the two women and back to the consort, then placed both hands on the dead man's chest and spoke.

"Earth, I ask for your substance. Water, I ask for your body. Fire, I ask for your heart. Air, I ask for your life."

He lifted his hands and Kristoff started glowibg and was lifted in the air (easter egg Beauty and the Beast). His wound sealed and his eyes opened while he sucked in a breath of air. He was let back down to the ground gently, coughing up some blood but otherwise ok. Anna rushed to his side, bawling in her husband's chest when she saw he was alive. Kristoff patted her brunette hair and looked up at the the person who had revived him - but he was gone.

The man in white hovered high above the fjord, his trench coat flapping in the wind. Lightning crackled around him, fire flickered throughout it and the water underneath him rose up slightly as though drawn to him. At that moment, one of the fire soldiers cried out, "He's back! It's the Sky King!" The sky king looked down at the soldiers below and closed his right fist. The water around the ships froze solid, similar to when Elsa first lost control of her powers.

He then raised his left hand and swept it across the myriad of ships, then a volley of trees and boulders flew at them from the cliff, sinking several vessels. Those that were left then aimed their cannons at those left on land, as they couldn't reach him at that height. The ice rose up like a shield, temporarily preventing the heat from harming those on shore.

It seemed that this person was capable of controlling all of the elements. It's as if they were drawn to him. He began depleting the enemy's resources one by one, and Elsa, tired as she was, rushed to help. Whenever a soldier thought the man's back was turned, Elsa was there to deflect the fiery bullets and shield him from harm.

Eventually the fjords froze over with the man's power, a bit of deja vu to Elsa as she had seen them frozen like this before when she was much younger.

When the ships turned their cannons on the hillside, Elsa strengthened the ice wall by adding her own power to it. She wasn't helpless, and she wasn't going to let one man try to protect everyone on his own as long as she was still standing.

She looked back at her sister, who was crying over Kristoff, magically brought back to life by the elements themselves. "Anna, Kristoff. You should flee with the others. Make sure they get out of here safely." She said. She worried how the townspeople would fare on their own, their leaders left behind to defend them as they retreated. They would need guidance, and Anna didn't have magic to help her here. Elsa didn't want to see her younger sibling hurt.

Anna nodded, not needing to be told twice. Normally she'd refuse, but it seemed - for now, at least - that this newcomer, the...sky king if she heard the soldier right...was here to help her sister. She grabbed Kristoff's hand and she as well as the remaining foreign leaders ran up the hill to the cliffs and the safety of the rock giants.

The sky king looked down at Elsa as she helped him strengthen the defense against the ships. She looked exhausted. His brow furrowed and he nodded his head as if acknowledging something. "Oh?" He asked the air. "She did?" He nodded again. "That's good. Oh! She is! Well," he crossed his arms hovering in midair. "That makes things interesting." He looked down at the ships trying desperately to punch through the new barricade, an unreadable expression on his face. "Let's finish this, shall we?"

He smiled after a second and dropped down, landing on the ice in between the enemy and the elemental wall behind him with a loud BOOM! All cannons turned on him, and he waved his hand. Every last cannon was reduced to piles of dust. With the immediate threat now gone, he turned to Elsa, and he spoke softly, projecting his voice on the wind. "You have done well. Here." He twirled his hands above him and magic poured from the air around her, revitalizing her magic and her strength.

He then turned to the ships and his facial expression turned very dark. He bolted forward, the lightning again coating him as he splintered the ship closest to him. Some crew on board other vessels tried firing on him, but couldn't get a good bead because of his rapid movements. One by one, the ships were destroyed, the remaining forces slipping and falling on the icy surface beneath them.

Elsa was preoccupied, but she could have sworn that she heard the "sky king" talking. Once or twice, she noticed him looking her way, as if it was she that he was so interested in.

Anna and the last of the leaders had fled, the giants keeping them safe up on the hillside as Elsa and the newcomer waged war against the intruders. Toward the end, the king projected his voice and Elsa felt a strange but familiar magic surround her. With this came the return of her strength and powers, which had dimmed slightly during the onslaught.

The last of the enemy was destroyed, and after that things were silent. Elsa looked around, her adrenaline still pumping, making sure no one from the enemy fleet was hiding nearby to attack. No, it was quiet. It was over.

The ice queen let out a sigh of relief. She spared a glance to the forest, where she could see her little sister alive and well. That was her number one priority. The townspeople were all safe thanks to her and this Sky King.

The sky king stood on the ice, looking at the forces that slipped and slid toward him, trying even in defeat to make a last hurrah. He turned his whole body toward them and clapped his hands together in front of him. A blast of air swept across the enemy, knocking them off their feet. He analyzed them and saw a couple that were trying to rally the rest, and one in particular who was glaring at him with contempt, all the while barking orders.

David snapped his fingers and the three men were pulled underneath the ice by an unseen force. He waved his hand and the water became fluid again, the warm summer fjord returning to its natural state. The rest of the men were taken underneath the waves, drowning alongside their sinking, broken vessels. He turned back and walked across the water to the shore, pausing when he saw Elsa soaked from the wall of ice turning into water and essentially falling down on top of her. He smirked, a silent chuckle shaking his body.

As he touched shore, the three men were thrown out of the water, throwing the liquid up from their lungs. He turned around to face the men, then spread his arms out. First, a large snake-like creature made purely of water slithered out of his body and into the fjord. Then, the Phoenix from before flew out of him, then perched on his shoulder. A predatory cat made of swirling wind and debris calmly stepped out of his side, turning to rub its head on him while purring. Finally, a deer made of wood and stone leapt out of the cliff-forest and made its way over the roofs of Arrendale and stopped to stand at his side.

The three leaders of the fire invaders looked on in awe. The head of them stood, looking like he was about to say something but sat back down when an arrow lodged itself between the stones at his feet. Anna had returned with the soldiers of Arrendale and their allies, none of them very happy. "Who are you?" She demanded, her sword held up in an offensive posture. "And why have you invaded our land?" She looked at Elsa and nodded once, smiling a little at her misfortune then returned her gaze to the prisoners. The entourage around her also brandished their weapons, surrounding the trio.

Watching the scene before her, Elsa paid no attention to the ice wall she stood near. She was focused more on the remaining men, who were still trying to come after them even though they had clearly been beaten.

As they slid down into the fjord, the ice turned back into water and swallowed them under the waves. The ice beside her also turned back into water, splashing down around her and soaking her.

Her mouth gaped momentarily in shock, not used to having her ice turn against her like this, and began wringing out her long platinum hair as the King tried not to laugh. Anna returned to her side, giving her a brief amused look as Elsa continued drying herself, then turned to the intruders.

"Who are you, and why have you invaded our land?" The redhead demanded, and Elsa couldn't help but smile. In such a short time, Anna had blossomed into a wonderful leader and taken on her responsibility so well. But she didn't have time to admire this. She, as well, turned to the soldiers and awaited their answer. They should be happy the Sky King hadn't killed them. With power such as his, he easily could have.

Elsa looked around as Anna questioned them, watching the animal spirits dart around. She hadn't seen spirits take animal form before, other than the small fiery salamander that often followed her around. These ones looked completely new to her, and she couldn't help but watch them.

The fire people were silent, barely listening to Anna as they gawked at the Sky King. One got shaken awake as he was grabbed by the red-haired queen. "Answer me!" She bellowed, Kristoff at her side. Olaf was riding atop Sven, his snow replenished thanks to the permafrost magic on him. Sven pawed the ground, lowering his antlers toward the three. "I-I-we..." he steeled his eyes as he looked at her, then spat in her face. "We are the fire nation. Fire rules all."

She scoffed, punching the man hard then wiping her face of the spittle with her handkerchief. "So," she said to him, "The rumors of another land across the sea are true, then?" The prisoner nodded. "We have ruled the nations on our continent for nearly a year now, and have set our eyes to acquire the whole world."
Anna rolled her eyes. "Worked out well for you, I see."
He was embarrased, not responding.
Anna scoffed again, then turned her attention elsewhere. "And who?" she stomped up to the gold-blonde man with the four spirits around him. "Are you?!" She poked his chest. Though she was Queen, some of her childish ways still came out. She shook her head, hands on her temples. "Now. Don't get me wrong, sir," she said in a tense voice, "we appreciate you helping Elsa repel these...these...things," she gestured to the prisoners, "but," she threw her hands up, then looked at him, exasperated, her hands hanging limp. "How did-the ship-but-the fire-then-aghghg!" Kristoff came up beside her and looked apologetically at the Sky King, then guided his wife away.

The blonde-haired savior looked around at everyone, the same question as Anna's obvious on their faces. For the first time since he arrived, he spoke to everyone. "I will answer those questions that warrant answers in time. First, we must repair this damage." he gestured to the town. He knelt down and gestured with his hands as his four spirits gathered round him. "Earth, I ask for your substance. Water, I ask for your body. Fire, I ask for your heart. Air, I ask for your life."

The spirits lifted into the air and combined into one entity, a Golem of pure lightning. It moved quickly throughout Arrendale, and the people could see their town and belongings coming back together as if time itself was being reversed. The whole time, the blonde man kept his hands up and his eyes closed. People thought to be dead rose, breath coming back into their lungs. Ashes became people. Dust piles became cattle and dogs and carts. Finally, when everything and everyone was restored, the spirits vanished and the blonde man collapsed to the ground unconscious.

Anna was on a rampage, and Elsa watched as she poked and prodded everyone she spoke to. Same old Anna, Elsa thought. Some things never change. She even questioned the blonde man, who had been silent as she interrogated the men from the Fire Nation.

After Anna was led away by Kristoff, Elsa mulled some things over. So, there was a land across the sea where humans like this used the element of fire against their enemies. They had grown restless in their own land and wanted to claim not only Arendelle, but the entire world. Why start with this small kingdom? Was it simply the closest proximity to their homeland?

She would have to worry about this later. For now, another miracle was taking place. The elements danced around the Sky King again, then made their way through the town. People who had been killed, animals that were turned to ash, all alive and well again. How was it possible to reverse death?

The kingdom looked brand new again, as it had before the attack. Even the decorations marking their celebration had been put back, perfectly in place.

Rounding on the man to ask how he could command life and death themselves, Elsa saw him on the ground. He had collapsed, unconscious. So instead, she turned to her sister.

"Anna," she said softly, knowing how confused the young Queen was right now. "You should move the prisoners to the dungeon, we can question them later. As for him..." she glanced over to the blonde man. What should they do with him? ".... Let's just get him inside. We have... a lot to talk about when he wakes."

David Warring, the Spirit of storms was running. He reached out to the people in front of him: a man, a woman, a boy and a girl. The man was raven-haired with deep brown eyes that sparkled and a thick mustache. He wore a simple button up with matching trousers as he held on to the hand of his daughter. The woman was blonde, with sharp, piercing blue eyes that looked into your soul, and soft facial features that we're so beautiful she could be mistook for an angel. She wore an elegant sky blue dress that covered her completely. She grasped the hand of her son.

The children were twins, the girl with long, dark chestnut hair and green eyes, the lad with a short golden blonde mop and steel blue irises, their locks bouncing as they ran, giggling. Then, fire. Fire came from everywhere. "Momma! No!" David screamed as he tried desperately to reach her as she ran to his younger self as he cowered in the corner of his room. The mother scooped him up and threw him out the second story window, a last desperate attempt to save his life.

She burned from the bottom up, her dress first then her skin, crying out to her son the last words he would ever hear. "Live, David! Protect the weak! Liiiiiive!" He watched as his 6 year old self was caught up on the wind instead of hitting the ground, his latent magic awakening. His eyes glowed white and he screamed out to his mother as rain poured down on the house in torrents, his subconsciousness forcing the storm to douse the flame.

David awoke with a start, trying to sit up but holding his side in pain. He heard a soft voice next to him and felt a hand on his shoulder, and looked to see Elsa sitting next to him. Had...had she been there the whole time? He turned away and laid down, trying to hide his tears.

With the help of the others, Elsa moved the man into an empty guest bedroom, laying him gently down on the bed. His sleep seemed troubled, so even after everyone else had gone, Elsa couldn't help but remain by his side.

The ice elemental waited what felt like hours, but surely wasn't that long in reality. The man stirred a few times, perhaps having some sort of nightmare, but at first Elsa was afraid to wake him. What would happen when she did? He had swooped in, saved the town and the lives of everyone in it, and passed out before they could find out anything else about him. All she knew was that this was the supposed "Sky King" today's rumors had spoken of. But that was it. Where had he come from? How had he known Arendelle was in need of assistance?

Finally, his stirring turned into soft moans, and it sounded like he was calling out for someone in his sleep. Not wanting him to suffer through whatever nightmare he was having any more, Elsa gently laid a hand on his shoulder. She gently spoke, "Wake up... everything is alright."

He woke almost immediately and looked to the Queen, her concern etched on her porcelain features. The man turned away, and Elsa could hear the labored breathing that often came with tears.

"Are you... are you alright?" She asked. "You seemed to be having some sort of nightmare. I'm sorry I woke you." Elsa never gave a second thought to how odd it probably seemed that she was seated beside him as he slept. As former Queen of this Kingdom, she felt the need to help her sister Anna wherever she could. That included standing by this Sky King as he slept. She worried that maybe he might wake and vanish without a word. Now that he really was awake, she was unsure of what to say to him. Speaking had never been her strong suit.

He waved his left hand dismissively, trying desperately to compose himself. Nonetheless, he still felt her hand on his back, never leaving. Like a mother's touch. He fought back more tears as they came. He had relived for the first time in years the last memory of his mother, father and sister. It was all too much. He had never restored an entire city-nation before. He knew the consequences would be great, but didn't realize how great until he was finished and everything faded to white.

He had heard through the four spirits of the turmoil the fire nation, formerly known as Gronweld, had cursed his continent. The other four nations had fought bravely in his absence, but had ultimately failed.

Then, he felt something...ominous. Something terrible. He couldn't feel Phalanx, the fire spirit any longer. He reached out to the other three and they confirmed that Gronweld had captured her after many failed attempts, and were using her power to invade a land across the sea. He had to intervene. He knew he was ready, as the reason for his disappearance was to bond with the spirits in order to be as powerful as he could with them together to face threats in the future. He had not anticipated Gronweld turning on everyone.

Once he pondered all this, he sighed and slowly sat up, turning to Elsa. Her hand slipped down off his back as he turned and faced her. "I am David Warring, of the Continent of Fredalia."

Fredalia. Elsa thought about it, trying to remember if she had heard that name before, but she couldn't recall ever hearing of it. Perhaps it was far away, a land her people hadn't come across as of yet.

"David Warring," she spoke, glad to finally know the man's real name. "Others have referred to you as the Sky King. How are you able to control all of the elements at once?"

The Queen felt awful about questioning him so soon, but her curiosity was getting the best of her. She hadn't ever met another real person with elemental capabilities, and the fact that he was able to control more than one, simultaneously, had her head spinning.

"Oh, and I must thank you." Elsa added. "Without you... I don't think Arendelle would have survived that attack. I have no idea why this Kingdom was chosen... but we owe you our lives for what you did back there."

When she spoke, he realized how close in proximity they were and just how beautiful she was. He scooted back, blushing. He cleared his throat as he tried to compose himself, looking down at the sheets so he didn't get lost in her face again. He breathed in and out deeply before finally mustering the fortitude to look at her without gawking at her beauty.

Before he could answer the first question, she thanked him for what he had done. "I uh," he rubbed his neck awkwardly, glancing down at the bed where she sat before looking back up. He never was one for praise. His thoughts jumbled again as he took her beauty in, but he shook his head and sat up straight.

He answered her question quickly, to hopefully end the awkward situation and get her out of the room. "I am an elemental spirit. I was born with the spirit of storms. I bond with the four spirits, becoming one with them. I sacrifice my life for them, and they sacrifice their power for me. I heard of Gronweld - The "Fire Nation" - coming to your shores recently. I had exiled myself to bond more with my spirits, or else I would have arrived earlier. I apologize. I simply aided you the same any other would."

He knew Elsa had the magical ability of ice, but he hadn't yet seen the four spirits with her, so he had no idea she was one herself, nor that there were four spirits similar to his in this land. That's why he addressed his spirits as "The", thinking they were it.

Unbeknownst to both of them, Anna - never leaving her old ways - was listening in via a glass she commandeered from the kitchen, the open end on the door and her ear on the other, a stupid grin on her face. Her husband hissed quietly, "Anna, come on!" desperate to keep them both from embarrassment. Anna simply waved him off quickly as she continued to listen.
