The Animal Whisperer

Name {in game}:
Aria Nightborne

Name {out of game}:
Tanaka Akari

Age:
21

Gender:
Female

Sexuality:
Bisexual

Role:
The Animal Whisperer

Aria has the ability to speak to animals and read their thoughts, though she needs to be bonded to the creature to read them. She can take their senses and abilities and use them to her advantage. Whether granting her the night vision of a regular house cat, or the ability to grown wings and fly like a bird, Aria has lots of possibilities at her hand. This magic tends to be quite rare, and she often hides it. She doesn't have to worry much about creatures coming after her because of these abilities, and often fears humans more.

Out of game
Akari is known for having a free spirit. She loves a challenge, and having fun, but also tends to quickly anger. She's a bit of an airhead at times, and she has little to no filter, but she does mean well. She's very confident in her abilities and head strong. She knows what she wants and how to get it, and likes to follow her own path. Despite this confidence, she does tend to be her own worst critic. If it isn't perfect, she finds every reason for it to be wrong, and critiques every little small detail until it is. She tends to be the exact opposite with other people though, sweet and gentle.

Her friends often describe her as, 'having her heads in the clouds' or, 'doing her best, needs to stop being so hard on herself'. Despite her being strong physically, mentally she is a bit weaker. She hates being outside for longer then she has to be, and gets anxious if she's in a crowded area. She got the nickname the 'walking contradiction' for these meshing personality traits. Since she tends to be loud and aggressive when angry, but then meek and shy when she's nervous.

She has a natural athletic ability, her parents being two former athletes, and has good reflexes, but lacks the ability to work out for more then two seconds before getting bored and wanting to go and play games again. Games are her happy place, and she uses them as a sort of escape from the stress of school.

In Game

Aria is quite the wild card for someone as headstrong and stubborn as Akari. Aria is quiet, shy, and timid. She's very, 'go with the flow' and doesn't like making decisions if someone else is involved. She's lived her life away from most people, so she tends to be a lot more nervous around them and finds them even more dangerous then animals, even if the animals have large fangs and claws. She tends to be a bit fidgety, since she's always been on the run from hunters, and tends to have a hard time trusting others from the start. Though the towns people call her, 'Snow White' since when she is in town, there's always birds, or other tiny creatures following after her.

But with Akari now having taken over as Aria, Aria has changed from the timid, shy personality, to someone a lot more confident and loud, who holds her ground and doesn't back down from any fight in front of her, even if it is smarter to just run away. Though she still hangs out in the woods more, she started coming into town, growing her confidence by playing her lute in the towns square, or going to the library to pick up a new book.

Out of Game

Born to two athletes, Akari was naturally also an athlete from a young age. She did martial arts, basketball, and even volleyball at one point, before she found Softball and fell in love with the sport. Her older brother by two years was a little different, he preferred video games and watching videos too sweating in a gym all day. He was what put her onto video games, and soon she was spending all her free time with him playing fighting games or random rpgs he had found.

Her school life was normal, though she did tend to get into a few fights because of her stubbornness, and she also once punched a vase in the office because her teacher was refusing to hear her side and only wanted to listen to the other girls. That, of course, didn't go down well with the school or her parents and she was suspended for a month from the Softball team and school. During that time her parents worked the hell out of her, making her run miles everyday and work out since she couldn't do any schooling. While they did believe her, and believed what the teacher did was also wrong, her punching a vase wasn't the correct way to fix the situation. They always taught her that violence was never an answer, despite her background in martial arts, she should only use it to defend herself.

Akari after that stopped getting into as many fights, though, one time she found out her friend was being bullied, and she dragged the girls out of the school by their hair like she had watched them do to her friend. It wasn't a big fight, the other girls weren't really fighters and preferred using intimidation, and Akari left with only a few bruises and cuts. The school ended up suspending her again, and her parents nearly shipped her off to her grandparents in the country so she could work on the farm. Nobody truly understood why she does the things she does, except for her best friend and brother. Her brother and her were always close from a young age, and consider each other best friends, so every time she got into a fight in school, her brother would be one of the first ones there to pull her away from the situation. Her best friend was also one of those helping her out, and always encouraged her to do whatever she wanted with her future.

Once college came around, Akari decided to go into Computer Science. Her love for games pushed her into doing it, and she ended up joining the College Softball team as their catcher. Though her few suspensions in High School gave them a lot of distrust with her.

When Archeflight was announced, Akari was excited. Her best friend would always tell her about otome's, so being able to try one, while also playing her favorite genre of RPG was exciting and new to her.

In Game
Aria was born in the small town of Aston on the border of the Sylvan Kingdom. She was a bit of a surprise, since neither of her parents had the magic she did. It was a bit of a shock when a two year old Aria was babbling with their family house cat Bun, and then a little cat tail appeared, mimicking Bun's own tail. Her parents were obviously not expecting this, of course they had heard about this kind of magic before, but it was incredibly rare especially because people hunted them for the ability to have pelts and horns.

They hid her after that, not bringing her out into town in fear she would see an animal and mimic it since she was a child and didn't understand what was wrong.

She was 8 years old when she first started walking into the forest. Her parents would watch her leave early morning and not come home until dinner with lots of stories of the creatures and adventures she had that day. She would often come home with a stray rabbit or a few birds before being yelled at to take them back to their homes.

Aria met Pip at 16. He was a newborn Tressym that she had found when venturing in the forest one afternoon. The tiny cat like creature was curled up, surrounded by monsters. Aria was terrified, it was just a baby, she couldn't just leave it, it couldn't fend for itself. She threw a rock into the bushes behind them, and while they were distracted trying to find the source of the noise, she swept up the baby in her arms. The creatures rounded on her, but upon noticing who she was, backed down. She hadn't met them before, but word had spread about a human girl who could speak to animals and had a special bond with them. They turned and fled, leaving Aria with the crying Tressym in her arms.

Her parents allowed her to nurse the baby back to health, since it looked like he was all alone and Tressym's weren't common at all in the area. As soon as Pip was strong enough, she would try and release him. Though, that never ended up happening because the two became best friends and Pip refused to leave her side.

At 18 she started traveling, wanting to meet all the creatures of Iyeatia. The one condition was that she would learn to protect herself, so Aria had taken up swordsmanship and martial arts. Once she got proficient enough, her parents allowed her to travel with the promise of writing. Pip travelled with her, and the two had the best time exploring the land. She had even met Jax, her fern hound. Jax had saved them from an encounter with some hunters, but the hound preferred to stay near his family and friends instead of traveling, so Aria only calls him when she's in danger.

Now at 21, Aria still explores, but she does spend lots of time in her hometown, reading books and playing her lute for the enjoyment of others (and some extra cash), and also does some herbology work at the local clinic since she isn't scared of venturing deep into the woods.
Likes: animals, gardening, sunsets, pastels, music, and reading.
Dislikes: yelling, crowds, hunters, fake people, loud noises, and thunderstorms.

Other:
* More of a hand to hand combat person, prefers her sword to anything from afar.
* Terrible cook, and a vegetarian.
* Terrified of the corruption after seeing what it's done to the creatures around her town.

Personality:
Before entering the game, Hisa was a friendly and intelligent but quiet and nervous young woman. Growing up isolated due to her weak immune system and her overprotective parents, she is seriously socially inhibited. Thus, while she does her best to be polite and helpful to others, she can’t help but get easily nervous in social situations, overthinking the smallest things and anticipating the worst despite denying it to prevent others from being discomforted. This does lead to her being rather passive as she does all she can to not get someone irritated with her, especially seen in arguments where she usually quick to agree despite her own thoughts or do her best to stay neutral, especially when it’s with people close to her, which can lead to her getting easily manipulated.

Hisa’s clumsiness certainly did not help this as she is slightly oblivious and, after having been sheltered for so long by her parents, finds herself struggling to be independent and make decisions for herself. She still is working on it but does struggle with indecisiveness, naïveté, and getting easily distracted. Especially since, while intelligent, Hisa has a habit of hyper-fixating on her interests to an obsessive degree as she fails to notice things around her and walk right into accidents as a result as well as her tendency to let her curiosity get the best of her, often wandering straight into danger because of her curiosity. Nonetheless, she does appear to be surprisingly quite brave in the face of danger and usually does have a plan in these cases, even if sometimes they are last minute.

Nonetheless, Hisa is a passionate and energetic young lady. Overall, Hisa is a smart and creative young lady, being rather resourceful, intuitive, and witty in times of crisis and always seeming able to make the grade. Being an intellectual, Hisa loves exploring everything and anything and is often seen taking notes and questioning everything about something that catches her interest as she seems to find wonder in just about anything. She gets easily riled up by her passions and often has energetic outbursts when one of them is discussed. However, sometimes her curiosity and energy can cause Hisa to come off as a bit too intense, forward, and sometimes nosy during these outbursts, so she often tends to try and restrain herself to not intimidate others due to past experiences and advice from her parents. Nonetheless, Hisa finds solace with these interests, being a bit of an escapist, especially with visual novels, as she can’t help but long to be part of that fantastical world. Where magic and miracles exist, she’s the hero, and interacting with others just felt easier thanks to how these games are structured.

Upon entering Archeflight, Hisa, now Serena, finds herself swept up by excitement by her fantasy coming true. Thus, she is much more openly energetic and passionate, often being seen brimming with excitement as she tries to enjoy all this new world has to offer with her curiosity only intensified. She also is shown to be a bit more confident in her social skills thanks to her experience with otomes, which she initially believes would make interacting with these characters a bit easier. However, her status as the Goddess does lead to some stress as she often gets more attention than she’s used to and with her naïveté and passivity, this can lead to her getting into trouble. It does not help that her in-game father, similar to her real parents, is similarly slightly overprotective of her due to her magic. Nonetheless, Hisa tries to ignore the negatives and focus more on the positives, leading her to be a positive ball of energy for others. However, with Hisa embracing her situation as her fantasy, she is a bit ignorant and in-denial about the more negative aspects of her circumstances such as the fact she can’t just rely on her video game knowledge here with there being no way to undo her actions and the possibility she may never return home and maybe even die here.

History:
Out of Game
Growing up, Hisa had a weak constitution and was a sickly child. While born with loving parents who did all they could to care for their daughter, Hisa often spent her days stuck in bed or a hospital, enduring another disease she just happened to catch. Thus, she grew up lonely, rarely having a chance to interact with others. Rather, she entertained herself with various activities that led to her passions today from reading often which fueled her still active thirst for knowledge to getting into video games, a longtime comfort of her’s.

Thankfully, over time, her health had bettered and she was soon able to return to what one may consider a normal life, no longer isolated in a hospital or her room and free to interact with others. While she excelled in her classes, Hisa found herself struggling to adjust to the sudden change as she struggled to connect to others and attain the confidence to approach due to how much time she had spent alone. Her parents didn’t help as they soon became overbearing and overprotective, constantly worrying over her, sheltering her, and basically indirectly controlling her life. In a sense, by trying to protect and guide her, her parents made her even more dependent on them and nervous about seeming normal to others due to their “advice”.

This led to Hisa turning to video games as escape. Having first relied on them for references for social interactions, especially in the case of otomes (which she got into in during middle school) and other visual novels, Hisa begun to find solace in the fact that they presented her with the ideal life. Where she was the perfect hero who was loved by many. And even when she did mess up, she could always find a way to do things over again.

Yet despite this escape, things only got worse when she graduated and begun college. Never having the chance to set personal boundaries with her parents, they continue hang onto Hisa and pressure her into entering a major she was not interested in but provided a seemingly stable future and adding onto her stress about all these changes. The fact that she still had issues with interacting with others without getting anxious and being independent only worsened this stress as Hisa relied more and more on video games as her escape. Not only did these video games serve as her solace. No… in a sense, they became a window into her ideal reality. Her personal paradise if you will.

So when Bloom, a company that Hisa recently became a big fan of, announced the release of Archeflight, Hisa was quick to get excited to play the game. She just never anticipated living it.

In Game
Serena was born in a village on the outskirts of Parlton Kingdom that served as a secret haven for all those with types of magic that led to them being ostracized. And despite being born to two non-magical individuals (specifically a hunter and a healer within the village), Serena was born with dream magic which appeared early on, much to the delight of her mother who was quite a magic enthusiast. Her father… no so much, as despite living in a magic-friendly environment, he had begun to notice that the kingdom had began to suspect the village of housing magic users. Not to mention, there happened to be sightings of a cult made up of followers of Cedonia and Arwen, believing that only through destruction that the world can rebuild itself, happened to be sighted nearby.

This all culminated into the invasion and destruction of the village when Serena was just five years old. Her parents barely escaped with enough supplies to allow them to find refuge within the wilderness for a bit. Yet Serena’s mother did not handle the loss of her home well, both due to her connection and love of magic. And she wished for revenge. Meanwhile, Serena’s father, shaken by the loss of his home and almost loosing his family, just desired a peaceful life. This led to Serena’s parents beginning to disagree frequently as Serena’s father attempted to keep his family out of trouble at all costs as he attempted to have Serena suppress her magic and move away from the village at all costs. Meanwhile, her mother, in deep despair, insisted on returning to see at least if there was some remnant of the magic that filled the area and encouraged Serena to use her magic and develop it. She even begun expressing thoughts of using Serena and her abilities to enact revenge on the people who tore away their home from them, manipulating them through their dreams.

Afraid as his wife seemed to lose herself to this madness and see their daughter as more of a weapon than a child, one night after a few weeks since the invasion, the two decided to have a conversation a distance away from where Serena was sleeping. Unfortunately, unable to compromise, Serena’s mother lost herself to her madness and anger and, refusing to allow anyone in her way, even if it may be her husband, she attacked him. Caught off guard, Serena’s father was quick to defend himself but wounded Serena’s mother and, unable to trust her around Serena but not being able to bring himself to finish the job, left her for dead. He had he and Serena move deeper into the forest that night, refusing to explain what happened to her mother and the reasoning behind his actions. It was only until a few years later that he lied, saying he and his mother were attempting to discuss their plans for the future and were ambushed by thieves. And that was the reason Serena’s mother died. And that was the reason they ran.

Despite the tragedies they endured, Serena and her father thankfully managed to get by on the road as her father begun hunting and exchanging his catches for shelter and anything else he could attain at any place they could find. This lasted for a year until the two stumbled upon a small abandoned cabin close to the center of the kingdom itself, tucked away in the wilderness but close enough to a source of supplies and food.

Together they made a new beginning here with Serena as he used his job as a hunter to get enough money to rebuild the cabin and get the necessities needed to survive. During this time, Serena was especially sheltered as her father often had her by his side, doing all he could to avoid attracting negative attention from having her repress her magic once more to ensuring that she never strayed too far away from him. And when Serena grew old enough to be in the house by herself (specifically 12 years old), she found herself often spending her days at home, taking care of the house when her father was gone and staying where she was led to believe was safe and hidden.

Thankfully, their time period didn’t last long as Serena’s father noted the loneliness her isolation had brought her, so at age 14, she was allowed to join him into the kingdom once again. Later, she was allowed to go into the kingdom by herself but with a curfew. And as Serena grew older, her curfew grew later and later until her father allowed her to stay in the kingdom until at least the end of the day whether it be to do errands, help around the area, or just enjoying life as a normal girl. Just as long as she doesn’t draw too much attention to herself (a bit of a struggle considering her beauty but she is getting by) and keeps her magic in check. Then all should be fine.

During this time, the memories of her old village and its fate faded away, a blurry childhood memory that Serena only revisits in her dreams.

Likes:
•Coffee with sugar (or any sweet drink that keeps her energized)
•Reading
•Strategy games (especially chess)
•Puzzles of any sorts
•Spicy and/or sweet foods
•Exploring and trying new things
•Theorizing about just about anything
•Instrumental music (especially webcore and video game osts/video game ost-sounding stuff)
•Cozy clothing (scarves, hoodies, cloaks, sweaters, anything soft and warm that makes her feel safe really. Also some of these accessories like scarves and cloaks flutter dramatically in the wind which is a bonus)
•Dancing

Dislikes:
•Being the center of attention
•Sitting still
•Pessimists (she’s stressed enough about what can go wrong, pls-)
•People messing or going through her stuff (especially her notes)
•Failure
•Being separated from her notes/Having nothing to take notes with when learning
•People not liking her
•Complete darkness
•Silence
•Hospitals and other medical places

Other:
Archery
Raised by a hunter, Serena was taught archery by her father with Hisa having inherited some of these skills upon taking the part of Serena. Thanks to the game’s programming, she does need training with Serena being a bit rusty due to not having practiced in one or two years. Nonetheless, this does lead to her primary method of defense to be archery.

Dagger
For the sake of her safety, Serena often has one hunter dagger from her father hidden in her belt which she is able to use for self-defense in more close combat situations.

Necklace
The silver necklace Serena wears is the last memento of her mother as it is a family heirloom that has been passed down her mother’s side of the family for generations. Due to this connection, Serena, and thus Hisa by proxy, is meant to be rather protective of it. Specifically, Hisa feels a strange connection to it, having a subconscious urge to keep it beside her. A side-effect of being put in the place of another character.

Note-Taking
Hisa is the kind to take notes on everything. So it makes sense she would take notes on everything on the game, attaining a journal as soon as possible and writing everything down whether it be small bits of facts about the land and people around, strategies for how to approach people and get through this “game”, and all her theories about the “game”… yeah I am most definitely planning for this girl to get a wake up call but right now, she got them issues.

Mother
Because we gotta have them plot twists. Although it was believed that Serena’s mother was dead with her father manipulating Serena to believe she died in an ambush caused by thieves, her mother did survive her father’s attack, having been found and taken in by the cult that was sighted near the villages. Betrayed, vengeful, and enraged, her mother joined the cult, adopting their beliefs as she helps carry out her plans and continues her search for her family, hoping to be reunited with her daughter and possibly have her join them.

Flute
Serena was actually taught how to play the flute by her father, flute-playing seeming to be a family tradition on her father’s side. Coincidentally, Hisa played the flute in her highschool band (which her parents recommended she joined due to her interest in music and also to have extracurricular on her college record) so she is skilled in the instrument and enjoys playing it when she can. Though, considering this is a girl from modern times, she most definitely knows and enjoys playing video game tracks and meme songs on the flute.

Affectionate
Having grown up in an affectionate household, Hisa is rather physically affectionate with those she considers close. So be prepared for hugs if you become a friend she can feel comfortable around.

Ballet
When her health began to better, Hisa’s parents had her take ballet classes, seeing as she needed some form of exercise after staying in bed all the time and she did happen to be interested in a ballet-themed game at the time. While Hisa wasn’t particularly passionate in it, shows and recitals often giving her the worst anxiety, Hisa did enjoy the art. She did have to drop out in her last few years of highschool when her schedule became much busier due to college planning and such but she still practiced on her own when she could. And now, she enjoys practicing, often dancing around when playing the flute or trying to pull a few fancy tricks when shooting arrows.

Born with the magical ability to summon demons into the material world, Gremory never got used to the kind of stares various people looking at her. Her parents and their crazy cult look at her as some sort of valuable asset while regular people look at her in fear, which is understandable since her demon once chomped the feet of her friend. After years of avoiding the goverment the Parlton's knight order finally sniffed about the cult's dubious activity and raided their base. Gremory was able to run away alone. Scared and confused, she move from town to town and tried to live without drawing any attention, doing whatever job she could find while trying to keep her demon in.

Aquamancy, although she isn't quite sure why she posseses the ability to control water, she often simply refers to it as the "Luck of the Sea" oblivious to the fact it is due to her heritage. Personality: Aria is a very adventurous person. She enjoys hanging out on ships and sailing and would rather go out and seek fights and adventure rather than staying cooped up in a village. While Aria isn't sure what kind of person Emeria was, she assumes they probably weren't too different since Emeria seemed to want to head to sea and be a pirate aswell.

History:
As Aria: Aria grew up in the united states, she had always been interested in history. She graduated from college and ended up seeking a career in Archaeology. She was very determined for her work and spent more hours digging up sites than her colleagues would. People would say she was obsessed with her work. Aria enjoyed learning from history. What little time she didn't stay working was spent playing video games. Upon signing up for the beta of archflight she was suprised to find herself elsewhere.

As Emeria: Emeria was born to a pirate captain and a mermaid. Her mother decided to end up raising her away from the sea in a village. Emeria never really was told the details behind her father, however she always had seeked to be out at sea instead of staying at the village. She would take any chance she could to sneak aboard ships, venture out to islands and so on, often coming home to a furious mother who wondered where Emeria had been for sometimes days or even weeks. upon reaching adulthood however, Emeria couldn't be told to stay at the village anymore and ended up joining a pirate crew and even disguising herself as a male in order to join.

Name: Roland Musgrave Tudor Ashbridge Von Parlton
“Roland Ashbridge”
Age: 23
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Role: Hot-Head
Magic: Fire Magic

Personality:
Rude, foul mouthed, and cynical is how Roland tends to come off due to his speech pattern, which is completely true, though he also tends to come off as apathetic at times, which isn’t. He is extremely determined and strong willed.

History:
Roland was born as the second child of the King of Parlton and his first wife. He was born with his latent fire magic, which he often couldn’t control due to his young age and had a tendency to quite literally flare up when he felt strong emotions like anger or even excitement, oftentimes caused collateral damage and destroyed items or unintentionally harmed others or himself. They thought of him as a demon child and everyone decided to avoid him, he was made to wear specialized metal gauntlets to try and keep the flames in check.

Only his mother would show him no fear, one of his favorite activities that his mother did for him was reading stories to him, as he wasn’t allowed to handle flammable materials by himself. It was one of these stories that greatly inspired him, the story of Elm and Gerlan. This story inspired him to try and be a hero, maybe then he’d be accepted by the others and so Roland spent years training from martial prowess and reading all about the world, to mastering his magic. He trained for years on end.

After years of training and hard work, he joined the knights becoming the youngest knight in the kingdom’s history and would quickly gather a large amount of accomplishments, from subjugating some of the most infamous bandits in the land, to slaying monsters, with the highlight in his career being the slaying of a giant. However, rather than being respected for his accomplishments, each achievement only served to make others fear him more and more. The other knights were either wary or jealous of him, the nobles saw his career as a threat, most of the common people only saw him as some kind of dangerous beast the Kingdom unleashed against their enemy, as they had only heard of rumors of him that were spread by the earlier parties, which frustrated Roland to no end.

The best he got out of his effort was an empty title of captain of a division, named the Order of the Red Dragon. That practically was made only of himself and even then it didn’t take long for him to realize that it was just made to isolate him from the rest of the knights to prevent him from making any allies in the military. They feared him trying to cause a military coup against his brother and his accomplishments were simply a way to try and overshadow his brother, even though he truly had no intention to. Rather than a hero he was being treated as an attack dog on a leash, only really needed for his strength then swept to the wayside when they didn’t need him.

Roland mostly chose to simply grit his teeth and bore it pretending that it didn’t matter, though he did rebel in his own little ways, such as wearing all black, when most of the kingdom’s knights wore white and wearing a metal gauntlet of his own make, as a mockery of the ones he had to wear when he was a child.

Fighting Style: Roland’s style is primarily slashing focused and seems unpolished to the untrained eye, as it lacks the elegance you’d expect from nobility, however, it’s far from unpolished as it’s actually meant for actual combat and uses simple, controlled, and practical movements along with hand to hand and dirty tactics thrown in for good measure. He prefers to primarily use his magic to supplement his swordsmanship, coating his blade in flames and heat to use it like a heat cutter, allowing it to “cut” right through most armors and when he has to use only his flames for an attack, he compresses it into a smaller area increasing its effectiveness allowing him to be more efficient with his abilities.

Dragon Fang Blade: Something that Roland “appropriated” from the kingdom’s treasury, it is his current main weapon. As the name implies it’s a curved blade carved from a dragon’s fang, making it extremely durable and have a high melting point. This makes it perfect for Roland’s Fire Magic as he doesn’t have to worry about accidentally ruining his own blade.

Cooking: He originally started this as a way of mastering his powers, using his flames and controlling the right heat to try prepare perfect meals, nowadays he is possibly one of the greatest chefs in the kingdom, being even better than the royal head chef, due to being able to control the exact amount of heat of his dishes. Not many actually know of the fact that he is such an accomplished chief, for obvious reasons.

Personality:
Very kind and clever but covers it up with a playful and teasing personality to make herself seem less vulnerable. However she tends to let her guard down a bit around friends and will do anything to support them. She tends to do better in a small group of people rather than in a large crowd or on her own.

History:

Out of Game:

Hirose Kasumi was a part of a small family just trying to get by in Tokyo. Her only sibling was an older brother and when they were younger, they were often getting into physical fights with each other. They hated each other as young kids but they did have a few sibling moments where her brother would stand up for her and she would take up learning some of his interests out of curiosity. As adults, their relationship is strained and awkward but both would do anything for the other. Her parents didn’t have the perfect marriage but it wasn’t bad either. If she would have had to describe it, they dealt with each other and kept the family together. Her and her brother often had no limitations on what they could and couldn’t do due to their parents' lackluster parenting which at the time was really cool for the siblings. This is around the time her interest in horror movies and crime shows started.

Socially, she would describe herself as a bit of a side character in the sense that she was very good at socializing and very friendly but she preferred being alone rather than in the center of attention. She was blessed with a few close friends and she was happy for the most part while growing up. She got decent grades, a small group of friends, and overall she was doing well for herself. However, for a lot of her high school years, she was in a bit of a depression. She didn’t feel like she had a purpose and as high school came to an end for her, she didn’t know what she wanted to do. Aside from horror movies and crime shows, she didn’t have too many interests or skills she could make a life out of.

Sometime during this trying time for her, she got into otome games. At first, she thought it’d be funny to try something that seemed so out of her league and try wooing these virtual men. Even more funny was when she actually found herself in love with these games. The cheesy romance stories that weren’t realistic at all, the scenes and characters that would make her laugh and smile, she loved all of it. She had watched her parents for years in what seemed like an awkward relationship so real dating was something she never really considered even when she had a few crushes on people. To her, it would probably only end up poorly for her, but in the otome games there was always a happy ending with the characters.

It dragged her out of her depression a bit and she ended up going to college in hopes of becoming a forensic scientist, as it related with her love of crime shows. However this didn’t end her otome love as she ended up playing the games whenever she could. When Archeflight was announced, she was already preparing a few all-nighters in order to play the newest otome game.

In Game:

Amethyst Wiltshire comes from a long line of witches and she was no different. She and her mother traveled a lot and along the way, she built up her powers as a witch watching her mother and learning from her. She has many potions and spells and enchantments stored in her head, memorized for the sake of convenience all taught to her either by her mother or those they met along their travels. Around the age of sixteen, Misto was summoned to be her familiar and this was around the time she ended up leaving her mothers side, equipped with all the knowledge she needed to get by.

She loved travelling but in the end, she found herself tired of moving constantly and decided to settle down in a small village. Her mother and she used to exchange potions and enchantments for lodging and food during their travels so similarly she made the decision to start selling potions and enchantments in order to get by. Her and Misto have been living on the outskirts of the village in the attic of the shop. She mostly sells basic potions and enchantments and is very friendly with the villagers despite their hesitancy towards her and the fact they only really come when they need something.

They have had a few break ins when they first got there but Misto was quick to scare them off and she ended up getting a crossbow to help defend the shop and her home. Over the years, the villagers slowly but surely started to accept their presence and Amethyst and Misto have been living out the last few years there.

Magic:
Hydrothermal Magic- The ability of taking water in multiple forms and freezing and manipulating to ice.
Winter Hell- This magic is the creation of a dome that Joseph can manipulate anything within. Creating the version of a wintery hell inside the dome, where life almost seems to die. Though with the usage if magic Joseph would be rendered unconscious if not gravely injured due to the extremity of the magic.
Lycan's Aura- This magic is a magic Joseph learned after finding his mount/partner in the woods. Joseph found Tundra in the woods when he was young, and took the runt wolf home. With food, and the magic aura from Joseph Tundra not only grew, but surpassed her siblings, as she too absorbed magic, and power from Joseph. Hence making her inseparable from him. The magic allows him to make himself wolf like ex: agility buffs, sense buffs, and some manipulation of shadows.

Personality:

Born as the prince to a world of cold in the kingdom of Parlton, and with the ability to manipulate ice, the ice prince is well, icy. He's cold, aloof, and you'll probably never see him lose his cool. He's always been good at what he does, and that infuriates his brother, The Hot-Head. Natural enemies since birth, you'd think fire would melt ice, but The Ice Prince never backs down from a fight.
History:

Joseph was born to the King of Parlton and his first wife. The birth of Joseph was actually very risky. Joseph was actually born very early, but was able to stay alive. When he was birth Joseph didn't cry, and seemed to hold no warmth in his little body. Even his eyes seemed to be calm like ice, and hold a sense of rigidness. Growing up Joseph seemed to be a sponge of well everything. Whether it was schooling, sword fighting, to magic Joseph seemed to soak it up, and perform perfectly. Almost to perfectly. Even when his little brother was born, Joseph didn't push him away, hell he tried to just show his little hot head of a brother stuff, but the two seemed to clash.

At the age of seven the King and his Wife decided to send Joseph to be an emissary per say for neighboring countries. This cause Joseph to grow up faster, and learn more. On the way to one of the countries far north, Joseph's carriage got stuck in the snow storm. While trying to find wood for a fire, Joseph stumbled onto a lone all white wolf pup that looked like it was the runt. Being a runt himself, Joseph felt a sense on familial love for the pup, and decided to keep her. Little did he know that she'd turned out to be his mount/protector. As the years went by Joseph went on more convoys, and actually started to make a name for himself. 'Lycan of Winter Hell', that is the name Joseph earned by being a cold, yet gentle, engulfing, yet welcoming prince/convoy

Personality:
Ever since he was adopted by the fae court as an infant. Cyrus was taught to be a gentleman towards his people. He is always seen having a smile on his face, and sometimes flirts towards the girls.
Although, he knows that he made some people in the Sylvan Kingdom angry by becoming a Fae Prince. They don't mind about that, since the fae court is like a family to him.
When he is around Heath, Cyrus drops the prince persona in front of his best friend. He is chilled towards his best friend, would drink tea with them, and wouldn't hesitate to talk shit about a specific person behind their back. Cyrus would try to playfully tease Heath whenever they bring up something that got his attention, and would do his best to cheer up his best friend when he is upset.
They do care about the Sylvan Kingdom, but Heath and him would argue about the state of the kingdom. Cyrus does repair their relationship after the argument over the Sylvan kingdom was finished by giving him something he likes.
History:
Adopted in a court of Fae in the lands of the Sylvan Kingdom when they were just an infant. The fae court would give Cyrus anything they could ever ask for, because he was like a precious little gift towards them. They also secretly trained him to become a fae prince, upon finding out about his magic, since their light and healing magic was special.
Nobody in the Sylvan Kingdom knew about Cyrus's existence until the day the fae court had introduced him as the Fae Prince to the public. There were people, who were booing him for being a human, and those who were cheering for the new fae prince. Cyrus ignored the booing from those, who were clearly angry about his existence, and just waved at his people with a smile on his face.
After that was over, they eventually met Heath. Those two became best friends with each other, and Cyrus would drop his annoying prince persona whenever he was around. In fact, the fae prince would shit talk about a specific person he doesn't like while drinking some tea.
When it comes to the state of the kingdom, Cyrus and Heath would have an argument, because they both care about the Sylvan Kingdom. Their argument does get a little bit out of control, but the fae prince tries to repair their relationship by giving something Heath likes after that is over. Cyrus does that, so his best friend wouldn't be upset by what happened during the meeting.

Name:
Heath Sylvan,
+ also called "Dogwood" as a traveler's alias should he decide to part from an animal form and go into a town without presenting himself as the sole prince of Sylvan.

Age:
21

Gender:
male

Sexuality:
Bisexual

Role:
The Shifter

Magic: His magic is that he can shapeshift, he also has an affinity with nature and plants. In this he can at a amateur level manipulate plants but he is in no means skilled other than a vine whip that he could be more practiced with.

Because he uses his shapeshifting to quite literally be the animal he is and experience their shoes (walk of life), it doesn't require much out of him to hold a form. Being able to repeatedly change into different animals in a short period does. He has not nor intends to shapeshift into clones of other people.

FC: Please reference the image in the discord channel.
Heath is a very fit man though often his build and muscle are disguised under his loose clothing. His dark hair, usually claimed as black and sits between fine and thick. The length of his hair often depends on the kind of animal he was prior to returning to his original form, but it's usually short or medium length. His tan skin is laden with scars and blemishes alike which prevent him from becoming a model (lol). He has pointed ears and a noticeable jawline. His eyes are often amber, green, brown, or hazel (animals) and only Cyrus can distinguish him from a regular animal by looking in them; but as the prince they are pale blue, like glacier water. A spider woman acts as seamstress for all his clothing and she has learned to leave half his garments with Cyrus as well as in his room to change into. He enjoys her work very much, every since he was a young boy. He refuses to wear leather, but will wear wool and cotton if he must be in humanoid form in cold seasons or places. His attire is not complete without some accessory of flower, whether it's his three lopped hanging belt or a hair piece. His vine whip, dull brown and plentiful in small short leaves and thorns rests on his side.

Personality: Heath is a relatively gentle giant as well as a reserved nature lover. He seems very much like the regal, stoic type from afar and his tendency to brush others away for the sake of his own comfort can come off as snobby if you're quick to jump to assumptions. He holds a low opinion of humans, with his best friend Cyrus being the sole exception. He somewhat struggles with his distaste for the human race because of Cyrus and his friend's struggle with his own court disliking him for the same reasons. it's hard for him to figure out as he supports his friend despite his species and their different views on how kingdoms should be or lack thereof. Heath wouldn't mind if he were not the Prince, but he also feels, as his parents have narrated many times, that he is the only one who can lead Sylvan after they're gone. It's a daunting idea, and he is often off on his own thinking about it as well as experiencing the different lives of animals by being all kinds fo animals. He is often begrudgingly back to duties that require or expect his presence when visiting Cyrus or his seamstress.

Heath is not the person who actively fights, far from the hot head. However, he will finish a fight if he feels it's necessary. His anger is usually handled by "taking a walk" which is usually as some kind of deer or goat; but a line crossed is messing with the horns- of the bull. He is pretty resilient and tough as well as chill. He often just wants to vibe as animal or even as a fae woman. He's got nothing against the men, he just unverbally somehow agreed to being the one all the fae women vent too. He doesn't mind at all since he's usually getting his hair done and in a spring bath. He is also entirely unaffected by nudity. If he finds you bathing and you slap him, he won't understand.

He is also a pretty good judge of character on instinct, being able to tell if someone is lying or not, or if they are nervous, or anxious- albeit he must decide to stick around long enough to care. He keeps to himself so being on his own has always been fine with him. Being in a sea of people however gives him great anxiety and overwhelming, he is likely to panic without a word and flee like a spooked horse. In a battle or herd of animals it is different. As a herd animal, he is used to their construct, so it's like a normal life to him. But in battle he is still experiencing anxiety and overwhelming and so it is possible he may unintentionally swing or attack someone. Any humans involved are at risk for being killed with little remorse, it's not in hatred, just indifference.

History:

Likes & Dislikes:

+ Nature, animals, forests, flowers, natural baths, spa days by fae women
- Humans, chest pains, leather, hunting for sport, unnecessary killing

Relationships: (open to plotting in Discord)
Cyrus Seto - They've been friends for a long time, for as long as Heath remembers. They are likely the closes in the group, and for the most part he is someone Heath trusts and feels understood by the most. They do have different ideals and ways of seeing the kingdoms, if it were up to Heath, he'd abandon the crown of it altogether, but Cyrus often argues against such nonsense along with his own ideas. Both think that all things should be free. Heath believes humans are pollution, except for Cyrus.

more relationships later-
