@Deadkool No fifteen year old seniors... Even if you're a scholarship student, you would not skip grades, seeing as the school's standards in general are really high. Plus, I am no longer accepting seniors.
@Deadkool I have four seniors. I want some more sophomores and/or freshman. I'm not accepting Juniors either until Opallies decides if she wants to make her character and Junior or a Sophomore. Plus, as I mentioned before, you'd be skipping grades. Most people are sixteen when they start their Junior year, unless his birthday is only a week or two after school starts.
Christina is confident and never afraid to make her opinion known. She doesn't like to be argued with and if someone dares contradict her, she will simply talk over them. She's very sarcastic, especially to people that she considers stupid. She is angry at her parents and on bad terms with her foster parents.
Bio:
Christina's parents were very young when they had her, so they put her up for adoption. So, she was raised by foster parents. The only problem was, her foster parents constantly reminded her that she was adopted and that they were doing her a favour by looking after her. Whenever Christina did something stupid, her foster parents would look at each other and sigh. She could see them blaming her birth parents for everything she did wrong. Eventually, she got shipped off to boarding school. Because of this, she feels rejected. As if she wasn't good enough. To make matters worse, after she left for school, her parents adopted another child to replace her.
Personality:April is a feisty girl who has a hot temper around most and is brutally honest always saying what's on her mind. When you focus on the hard to see aspects you realise that she is a massive nerd she is always carrying a book,Studies until dawn and is in advanced classes so she has to be, she loved literature and it's her dream to become a writer when she is older or a music producer. She is sweet to her friends and the apple gate house students unless they say something she doesn't like if you do you better watch out.
Bio: April was born to a single mother who had been dumped by a bastard of a man she was struggling financially but still had a passion and love for April and worked hard at a full time job as a lawyers secretary. April had an older brother and two younger siblings her brother and her got jobs the second their mother wasn't looking but when their mother found out she was disappointed that her own children were raking in money so she sent April off to many scholarship placements and April like Applegate because Applegate is truth
Clubs/sports: Basketball, Track and field, yearbook.
Crush: None ATM
Personality: Austin is really shy and tries his best to avoid people but when he does make a friend they usually don't last long. He becomes overly talkative and most end up finding him annoying which doesn't help him come out of his shell more.
Bio: Austin grew up in a middle class family. His father worked a lot and his mother worked at a senior citizens home. He grew up around that house and often spent his days talking to the elderly and playing games with them. At school he never talked much to the other kids and often kept to himself until after school his mom would pick him up and they'd go to the home. He was always able to talk to them better and he connected with one man, Edward. He and Edward could talk for hours about all sorts of things and could spend even more learning about new things. It was Edward who inspired Austin to get as good of an education as he could supported him for as long as he could until he finally passed when Austin was in his eighth grade year. It hit Austin hard and he felt like he had just lost a father. He was still motivated to get an education though, and searched for schools that piqued his interest. Finally, he found Merriam and sent in an application. After a couple weeks he was accepted but since he's not a scholarship student he went and found a job at a gym near the school. He started working mornings and ended up meeting a man who told him about parkour and got him started, so now in his free time he trains.
Ara is a feisty girl with the majority of her life as an open book, a good sense of humour and an easy going mood for the most part. Friendly with everyone it can take a lot to really get to her but once you do you’ve really done it and she can hold a grudge just as well as the next person.
Bio:
Born to a wealthy family as the youngest of five siblings, Ara got everything handed to her from the word go. Her parents both ran a multi-million corporation together and expected the kids to go into the family business. However it quickly became clear that Ara had no interest in doing this, not that her parents noticed since they were never around to care or even pay attention to her. She was raised by her siblings, mostly her brother Josh who she grew close to as he grew apart from their parents.
Education wise her parents sent her to all the top schools, paid for extra classes and everything. But she got fed up of this, never feeling like she had something truly hers. So when she reached high school age, Ara applied for a scholarship to Merriam on a whim, just to see if she could make it. However it took a while to be processed and she didn’t think she’d made it so Ara had moved in with her brother to go to school near him, away from their parents. But then a miracle, in her mind, happened and she got awarded a sports scholarship. She’d done it, she’d actually got something by working for it.
So with the help of her brother to deal with the fees that were being paid to the other school she was supposed to attend, Ara headed to Merriam and two years later as she’s about to start her junior year her parents are still oblivious to the fact that she’s not where they think she is.
@LittleWolfie I'm fine with her being a Junior, but she can only have one sport per season, which means she can only have one year-long sport. They practice everyday.
@Cyline This RP looks really in-depth. I love it! I'd like to reserve a male character, if there's still a spot available. I've just read through the Overview, but it looks great!
Dorm Number: {Don't worry about this, I'll assign it to you}
Apparel:
Does Lyonel wear anything besides Plaid? Not really. Well, he owns a T-shirt or two, just in case anything happens to all of his Plaid shirts. But that's about it.
Lyonel also wears jeans, when he can. As per the school uniform, wears black slacks during school hours.
Clubs/Sports:
Chess Club
Computer club
Rock Music Club
Crush: N/A (Yet. )
Personality:
Lyonel is extremely laid back. Some would go so far as to call him a slacker. In truth, he's rather talented, somehow managing to scoot by in school doing the bare minimum he needs, to progress. It's an art, really. The classes he takes give a rather great example of his outlook on life, the easiest classes there are to offer (why else would anyone take Dance?) Some people look down on Lyonel, because of his rather bleak outlook on school, but he's learned to just go through the motions, doing precisely what's required, and nothing more. After all, he's only here for the flashy piece of paper he gets at the end, right? Lyonel's pride and joy is his drum set, which he would spend all day playing, if possible. Playing the drums is his passion in life, and it's what he expects to do once this silly "school" thing is over.
Bio: Lyonel's been at Merriam Boarding School since his Sophomore year, and quite frankly, is ready to be done with it. He comes from a rather well-off family. His father went to Merriam "back in the day", and insisted that his son receive the best education possible. He grew up in a loving home, where his parents provided everything they could, to make him as "normal" as possible. He's rather talented at playing the drums, and working with computers, and hopes to end up in his own band after he's graduated, producing his own music. Applegate is Truth.
Other: {Anything else? No animals allowed in the dorms.}
(Think I've got everything. Let me know if I missed anything, or anything needs to be changed. Thanks!
