Just curious if anyone here has finished writing a screenplay and what the experience was like. Have you ever sent one in to try and sell it or have you had something made from one of your finished works. Thanks!

I tried making a screenplay once. Excluding the small scripts made in drama class back in high school none of them ever got finished.

If I didn’t have the attention span of a goldfish I’d definitely do it again and try to finish it this time. It’s very fun, and it’s to a degree easier than writing a book because you’re only writing dialogue for the most part.

I wouldn't be so bold as to call myself a screenplay writer but as I like to be the jack of all trades I dip my toe in everything, so I've made a couple screenplays. I don't know if you could even really call them good. Most were based off pre-existing things or awfully short, they're a good laugh though and if I were held at gunpoint to make another, I confidently could.
