Every few years, we reevaluate the level of content of certain prefixes to see if it deserves its own forum. For example, we made Video Games its own section a while ago when it was its own prefix within General Discussion. So today, we are announcing that we are moving the Anime & Manga prefix out of GD and into its own area.
We are always trying to encourage and grow discussions on RpN that don’t stray too far from the roleplaying atmosphere, and feel that this area of discussion belongs greatly here on RpN, since a significant number of the site’s RPs are based on established anime and manga.
The new forum will allow people to discuss characters, plots, and settings of their favorite anime and manga without having to search through GD for relevant threads. The forum will have new rules regarding the use of media from other sites as well as the existing rules in regards to spoilers and what constitutes spoilers. The relevant rules are shown below. The new forum also has new prefixes to indicate the focus of the thread. Please note that a thread that does not have the ‘Spoilers’ prefix should not have spoilers outside of spoiler tags, as explained in the site rules. ‘Speculation’ is the prefix for discussing potential future plots, story arcs, and character developments, while ‘Characters’ is specifically about the characters themselves, regardless of episodes, storylines, or plots. ‘Characters’ is also the prefix to use for ‘shipping’.
