Nodding in greeting the girl had been otherwise docile for most of the gathering, completing the test in relative ease despite her otherwise simple appearance though it was strange that she continued to make several strange gestures during it, counting on her fingers and flipping and shaking each page two times in a bizarre routine, even going as far as making sure the pencils are perfectly straight with a furrowed brow when notices it being slightly tilted. The written test aside, the next issue that arises in the announcement from the principle with a frown and looks of disappointment at the mention of no outside weapons and finding the quality of the "provided weapons" is far below the quality she is used to, requesting a different one each time before seemingly giving out a display that is outright childish, attempting to flip the table before seeing how securely it had been bolted down, cheeks puffed up, requests for a proper tool before just crossing her arms and storming off in perhaps the biggest display of emotion seen from her so far.

The girl herself just had her arms crossed in silence during the entire trip to the new testing grounds sulking and periodically giving glares to a rubber mallet leaned against the seat next to her.

Soon enough the principal arrived at the waiting site, announcing the start of the practical exam. Spindel felt her heart skip a beat in her chest as the procedure was explained. There were five buses, five test sites and five different heroes supervising.
The process was simple, find out which site you needed to go to and get on the bus. Spindel anxiously fiddled with the edge of her shirt as she made her way over to the lists.
She was heading to site two, and so was Eiji. At least there would be a familiar face there, but she couldn't just follow around the one person she'd had a conversation with.
That being said, she was relieved that there would at least be one person she was familiar with. She ought to make more of an effort to befriend other people, after all if she made it past this exam, then some of these people would be her classmates.

After finding her name she reported to the hero overseeing her bus and headed inside to take a seat. She sat next to the window, watching the scenery pass by as they drove off to the testing sight.
She ponderd what sort of test awaited her and the others, and whether or not she'd have what it took to pass.
She supposed stressing out over such things was pointless, all she could do was try her best to pass.

Once at the test sight, Spindel climbed out of the bus, joining several other unfamiliar faces. There
Lord this was really happening. She took another breath and hoped that she didn't appear as nervous as she was.

“Oh, it looks like it’s time!” Tsuru ran up to the neared bus and checked the list before quickly running back to the group. “It looks like we won’t be at the same test… I’ll meet you in class, then! Good luck!” Tsuru gave a wave to his new friends and headed for the bus for his trip. He was happy he wasn’t affected by the item ban, but at the same time, worried they’d ask him to make ‘safe’ versions of his weapons to fight. That’d certainly be quite the bummer for him.
Some time later –
Tsuru was nearly leaping out of the bus when it stopped; he couldn’t wait to get a good look of the testing site once he did. He could feel butterflies in his stomach from the excitement. It was make it or break it now, the first step in his dream. And he knew his mom would never accept a failure, not from him, so he better make it count.

Yui shivered as she felt the bug girl grab onto her shirt. Yui could feel the claw poking her back and she felt her legs shake as she walked. She managed to walk to the classroom with the thought of her brother as motivation. As soon as she was freed, Yui ran to her desk and took deep breathes. She hated bug and the feeling of them crawling on her sk-Deep breathes Yui, deep breathes. The girl closed her eyes and tried to meditate a few minutes before the test.

Yui's talent laid more in books than athletics. The girl prefered to be sleeping in her bed than training at the gym - it was too much work for her. She was one of the first to finish the test. She felt confident about it and would, hopefully, receive a high score. She had already come with her training clothes, so she didn't need to go change before going to the back of the school.

"Site one? Hmm, okay." Yui was shy in her own way. She preferred to be alone at times, especially when she was tired, like now. On the way to the testing site, Yui slept with her sunglasses over her eyes. She took a full seat so that she could stretch out her legs and leaned her back against the window. When they arrived, Yui was probably the last one to exit. She walked as fast as a sloth and covered a yawn with her left hand. What will be the test be like?

Mandisa blinked at the fox's deep voice. "So cool!" she said and gave him headpats. Her nails were naturally longer than others and she had to be careful with them. She didn't want to hurt the cute creature! "Are you sure I can pet him? It doesn't look like he wants to be here. Or does he have a resting bitch face?" The cat girl crouched down to look at the animal, ignoring the announcement. "Is part of your quirk? How cool." Mandisa booped the fox's nose one last time and stood up to her full level.

"Oh, the buses? Of course!" Mandisa nodded. "What are your names? Kinda rude that you know mine and I don't know yours." she teased with a goofy grin. "Let's go to the buses!" Mandisa locked her arms with her new friend. "We're going to be great friends! What's your quirk by the way?"

On the ride, Mandisa kept asking questions about her new friend and was much louder compared to her. "Have you ever gone to Disneyland? I used to be a lot when I was younger and now I haven't gone in a while. I really like that place." The cat kept giving the fox the occasional head pat and involved him the conversation as well. "What do you think the test is going to be?" Mandisa jumped onto the ground and hurried after her peers. She was so excited! She was one step closer to becoming a hero!

The Testing Grounds Site 1

After about a 15-20 minute drive, which involved passing into a forest, the buses finally came to a halt. All the buses seemed to come the same way but thy all split up about 5 minutes away from the destination. The Teachers got off the buses first before ushering all the applicants off. Akio and Chiaki stood before the students, waiting for them all to gather ahead of them. The test as of yet was not very clear just by looking around the area. After all, those who had heard about the test from sibling, or friends, or friends of friends might find this all very confusing. As they were standing in this large open clearing, in front of a lake, that was clearly man-made. Most obviously thanks to the abnormal boundaries and the very, very clean water. Although that didn't change the fact that it was a lake, and it was clear that fish were swimming in it as well. There was also a large boat floating in the lake.

Once all the students were gathered, Akio cleared his through, pulling a megaphone, seemingly out of nowhere from his cloak.
"Ah, hello."
He greets, still getting the hang of this, His voice still pretty quiet, even with the speaker.
"So, this will be your practical test. which I will now explain." This, could not have been phrased worse. "So you test today is rescue and information based." he begins. "I know it's not as cool as all the story's you might have heard, but we decided to try something new this year." he continued. "But don't worry, there will be something for everyone here... I hope." he sighs. "So fore starters, as you can see, there is a giant ship." he points to it. "That, ship is sinking. you have to save the dummies, or civilians inside before they drown. They dummies have sensors and timers, so they will mark when they go underwater and for how long. those who make bad judgment or fail will have points deducted, and of course it will reflect negatively on your grade. There will be items throughout the ship, and water marked with bright pink paint that will be classified as information and will be key to finding to sunk the ship, why, and how." he continues. "Any information you gather, and civilians saved must be turned into Ms. Hakunetsu here, who also be in charge of the test-safe items and so on." he waves his hand giving up on that train of thought. "And uh.... Oh, right, You will each be given a pressurized water gun" he remembers. "You will understand what those are for once the test starts." he nods. "You have fill them with water, but for a constant stream you need to keep the bottom submerged in water." he explains, pointing on a water gun he had pulled out himself. why gesturing he accidentally pulls the trigger and sprays himself in the face/eyes with a yelp, and he stumbles backwards, dropping it. Akio rubs his eyes, trying to regain his vision. He sputters his words fro a second before he became understandable again. "Please don't spray people in the eyes either." he adds. "You have 5 minutes before the ship fully sinks, and stuff, so the test begins when the buzzer rings and those of you who requested test safe weapons please follow Ms. Hakenetsu." he points before he stumbles off to the sidelines to try and finish cleaning his eyes. Akio was already done with everything, and just wanted to go home and sleep, and spend time with his mice.

ONI JIRO

Test Site 2

"SILENCE" yells Oni, killing conversation with a piercing scowl, arms crossed in disapproval. Why the kids thought talking was allowed went over his head, it didn't make sense to him but at least they respected the command, settling into quiet uneasiness. With only the birds and breeze as backdrop, Oni looks from one student to the next, two lines of steam leaving his nose, eyes narrowing. In the silence, Jiro relishes the moment, holding back his words for dramatic emphasis. He'd watched thousands of movies, he knew good timing.

3...

"WELCOME!!!!!! TO THE AA PRACTICAL EXAM!" beams the teacher, scowl now a smile, arms unfolding into the "Oni Jiro Double Thumbs Up" of legend, light sparkling off pointed thumbnail tips.

"For this exam we will test you on four key heroic qualities " explains Oni, pausing.

"COURAGE" is the first, right hand balling into an outstretched fist.

"STRENGTH" is the second, opposite arm curling in with a flex.

"JUDGEMENT" is third, left index finger tapping the side of his head.

"AND TEAMWORK!" is last, fists banging against one another, knuckles interlocking.

"In the sinking ship there are dummies, they must not fall below the waterline for too long. They are precious innocents and must not drown. We will know if you mishandle them! Such betrayals of public trust will result in MARKDOWNS!!! Rescued civilians must be brought here, and turned into.... BUNTA!" Yells Oni, misnaming Kenta completely.

"Just as important is the information packets. Clues that show why and how the ship was sunk! These packets are hidden around the ship and marked with pink paint! Bring them here to Bunta with the rescued civilians!" explains Jiro, taking a second to reach into his flowing, fluttering, and manly black Kimono, withdrawing one of the pressurized water guns.

"These guns are not a toy! Well they are but do not treat them as such! They can hurt if you hit someone in the eye, so DON'T!" commands El Diablo, waving the gun about recklessly (what happened to "its not a toy I wonder).

"You can fill them with lake water, or place the bottom into the water for infinite ammunition!" he concludes, tossing the gun to Kenta.

"You can get your test safe weapons from Bunta, he has all that were requested pre test. Otherwise, there is nothing left to explain except.....

"GOOD LUCK AND GOOD FORTUNE! PLAY FAIR, AND PLAY TO WIN MY FUTURE HEROES! YOUR JOURNEY STARTS TODAY, MAKE THE MOST OF EVERY MOMENT!"
roars the teacher, AND THE CROWD GOES MILD! Students deadpan, bored and tired of Oni's endless energy and enthusiasm.

The friendly man mostly just stood off to the side as Oni spoke. He gave a wave when he was mentioned, and just let Oni take the reins on this one. He had a very powerful voice, so it all worked out. Kenta caught the gun when it was tossed to him, carefully heading over the table as Oni finished. "If you requested an item you can pick it up here!" he waves as he stands behind a table. He had a few packages lined up on the table awaiting their requesters.

As a testament to her dedication to taking her job as a teacher seriously, Chiaki didn't even smile as her colleague squirted water into his own eye. She even managed to restrict her sigh to a quiet exhale through the nose.

As soon as Akio left, still wiping his eyes, she took a step forward and waved a hand to draw everyone's attention. "Those of you who have previously put in a request for test-approved items can pick them up from me," she confirmed, just to make it crystal clear. She might not be blessed with a voice as loud and booming as some, but she made up for it with a stern glare, directed at the few students giggling with each other rather than paying attention.

"I advise you all take this seriously," she added, though a little more softly. "Use the time before the exam starts to plan how you want to approach this. Good luck."

Eiji Touzai [x] - AA applicant
Testing Grounds - Site 2

Eiiji spent the bus ride worrying despite himself. There was no reason to fret about it, because that wouldn't change anything but put him on edge, but his insides were still tense no matter how he tried to think.

He was sorry that he didn't get to speak to Tsuru more- he seemed to have the real, optimistic attitude that Eiji had been trying so hard to emulate- but was glad that Spindel was going to the same test site. But she seemed just as preoccupied with her thoughts as he was, on the bus, and it seemed like no sooner had everyone sat down than they were getting up again to disembark.

As for the teacher leading this half of the practical exam... well, he definitely got the crowd of applicants to shut up and listen, even though he spoke loudly enough to be heard over anyone else. Eiji recognised him, of course, and not just from the auditorium. But it wasn't until he heard the word "Rescue" (completely at odds with the pro hero's delivery) that he started to think that he might be able to do this.

Spindel was standing a little way to the left of him, and he took advantage of the crowd's silence to half-whisper, "No fire," smiling in relief. Search, rescue and information. The biggest danger was going to be the water itself, but it looked clear and clean, even if he did have to go in there wearing his old school uniform. At least there would be no fighting.

Although, if that was the case... "What are the water guns for?" he asked, as much to himself as to Spindel. Maybe they'd have to watch out for their teammates after all.

Reading over the testing materials one more time they finally arrive at the lake to hear the screaming of the larger teacher regarding the test conditions, the same listless expression as she listens through a faint shift in the expression at the mention of the water. She honestly wished it was on dry land, water was cold and wet and get everywhere but fortunately, she at least had her equipment in preparation, a fact that became more apparent by the sounds of clicking, piston-like pressure, screwing and several others over the sound of the teacher's announcement.

The end result was what looked to be a full set of armour with a lion-like motif to it surrounding them, it was said to bring suitable clothing for physical exercise so such should suffice for the test given the work she had placed into its construction. Heading over to the table to the side finally she goes to review the weapons available, she had been highly specific in the request so hopefully, they would be suitable, the water gun already had a few issues but those could be resolved.

"I was here to collect the items for Galatea Cyprus, also may i have a second water emitter?" Her voice echoing within the helmet, many would think wearing armour to a lake was not the best of ideas but then again they could be wrong, so while they waited for the towering girl herself started fiddling with the gun, particularly at the barrel before going to other sections. Her fingers betraying her size while they are somehow managing to create other items in the preparation stage from the surrounding area, stone and wood but the shapes after running through her hands do not seem natural anymore.

Sakura frowned, trying to think hard about what she would be good at in this test. She wasn't very strong, so civilian rescuing might be out of the question, unless there was one in desperate need of her. Information collecting sounded good. She was fast and could climb vertical walls and get into places like furnace ducts and crawlspace attics that other people couldn't get into. Sakura wasn't sure how well she could swim, though.

The offensive part of her quirk probably couldn't be of use today, which was a shame... they'd never see her ultrasonic scream in action. Unless... what was the water gun for anyway? Were there opponents to fight?

Information gathering? Civilian rescuing? Kuroki let out a sigh of frustration. If there's no combat, I can't let my quirk shine.

Kuroki was peeved enough about that, but then she noticed the stupid ink girl was at Site 1 too. Perfectly useless piece of trash... she'll get the water full of ink or something and then we'll be covered in the stuff. She had thoughts of sticking the ink girl full of thorns and leaving her behind a rock to sleep off the effects, but that wouldn't be very heroic, so Kuroki left it at that. For another day. She thought, morbidly.

Hideki Mitsuki
Hideki continued to lean against the wall as he eyed the other applicants that continued to enter the courtyard as they finished their written exam. It really didn't matter to him what their quirks were, he was determined to finish ahead of them no matter what. Soon the courtyard was filled with applicants, it seemed as if everyone was done with their written exam, now it was time for the practical exam. This is where Hideki believed he would have an advantage over most of the other students. He smirked as the principal made his way outside and would start to explain the practical exam. There are five different exam sites for the practical exam and the applicants would be split evenly into those five different spots. Applicants would get onto the bus that was designated to take them to their exam site. They would start to read off names for which applicants were going to which site and it turned out Hideki would be going to site two. He shrugged his shoulders as he got off of the wall and made his way over to bus number two. It didn't matter to him which site he was at, he figured every site would be doing the same thing.

Hideki climbed onto the bus and saw a few faces he noticed, but no one he was willing to go out of his way to talk too. He grabbed a seat in the back and sat there until they arrived at their site. Once there he was the very last person off of the bus. There were a good amount of other applicants here, but it wasn't crazy populated. This site they arrived at was in a forest and there was a huge lake in the middle, and in the middle of the lake was a big ship. Hideki figured they would be doing something with that ship. It would most likely be a rescue mission then, Hideki was hoping it would be more fighting based, but it didn't matter he could make this work. As Hideki was in his own head, all of a sudden one of their teachers grabbed his attention. The big red man explained that they would be having to rescue people from the boat, they also needed to look for clues about how the boat sank. Hideki smirked and thought to himself "Well this should be fun."

Spindel Rostovia

Location: Testing Site Two

Interacting With: Eiji ( Blemmigan Blemmigan )

Spindel winced as Oni Jiro started shouting. He was a good man to have in charge of a crowd, as he was impossible to ignore. But lord, he was just so loud and Spindel found that intimidating. It seemed most of her peers were unimpressed with their instructor's over the top manner, but Spindel often struggled with such people.
After all, she couldn't really speak up around them.
Still, she had to pay attention as he explained what the practical exam would be. A wave of relief rushed over her as it became clear there would be no flaming elements. Stiffening as a voice whispered in her ear, Spindel looked to her left she found Eiji. A small smile came to her face, she nodded and looked back to the teacher, not wanting to get yelled at for talking.
The test wouldn't revolve around combat, rather it was a search and rescue mission. Spindel was hesitantly excited, as she felt her quirk might be good at this.
Her webs could search a wide area for potential survivors, and depending on how heavy the dummies were, she could maybe lift several at once.
As it was she surveyed the testing arena, trying to think of the best way to approach the crash site.

She could make out what looked like floating debris structures in the water, likely meant to be obstacles in their path.
There were also life boats, she could place civilians there if necessary she supposed. She could also make a bridge with her webs and walk over the water, skipping the need to swim entirely. Said bridge could hold her own weight just fine, others would be a struggle but if she put the dummies in the life boat she wouldn't need to worry about that. She wouldn't know how heavy the dummies were until she managed to find one though.

Of course, all of this could be too time consuming, she would be racing against the others as well. She had no idea if any of their quirks were better suited for this task... And then there were the water guns, Spindel eyed them nervously.
Combat would be unavoidable if she wanted to make it as a hero, but it still made her uneasy. The water guns wouldn't cause any severe harm to an average person, but even so...
She doubted her aim would serve her well in this test.

I ought to focus on saving as many civilians as I can, and collect any of the information packets that I might find. Of course, searching the entire ship alone will be time consuming and impractical to do alone. If the dummies are allowed to sink under water I imagine it will hurt the score of whoever fishes them out.

Being quick and efficient were important here, in a real life emergency there would be lives on the line.
And then there's the water guns...if I'm focused on using my quirk then whatever the guns are for...I...I won't be able to react more than likely.

She thought on what the teacher had said...teamwork was apart of this test...
She looked to Eiji and her other competitors. Would it be wrong to work together? Being able to work well with others was an important aspect of well...life.
But this was a competition, and not everyone would pass this test. How many would be willing to risk their place in the academy for her silly idea.

Odds were...not many. But Spindel felt she ought to try.
"Eiji...", she looked to the other applicant, fiddling nervously with her fingers as she spoke. "I uh...I know this is a test and all...and we're technically competing against once another. But uh...maybe if we...helped each other we can ensure we both pass. I mean...we're...supposed to take this seriously and in...a real life emergency it would be impractical to preform a search and rescue mission alone".
There would likely be times when such a thing would happen, but Spindel wasn't basing her plan on a minimal possibility. Heroes often worked in teams or pairs, so assuming that this test might run smoothly as a

Her gaze shifted to the ground, as she didn't expect him to agree. "I understand if you think it's a bad idea...I just thought I'd ask".

Eiji brightened. For a while he'd assumed that Spindel would want to tackle this by herself, or pair up with someone else whose quirk might compliment hers better.

"Yeah!" he said, trying not to sound too enthusiastic. "I mean, no I don't think it's a bad idea. I mean, you're right, pro heroes don't work in teams. And Jiro-sensei did yell the word "Teamwork" pretty loudly." A glance towards the teacher in question showed that he was still standing there in a power pose, his kimono doing its best to billow in the lack of wind.

"Do you have any ideas for a plan? I think I... I mean, I can reenforce or reconnect things. So maybe I can make something out of the debris by joining it together, like a raft to put dummies on." He looked down at his hands, as though they might inspire him. Spindel knew her own quirk far better than he did, especially as he'd yet to see her use it. And if it was one that transformed her body, he definitely didn't want to fuse her to anything. Teamwork with new people was already more complicated than he thought.

As Tsuru left the bus, he drank up all the environment with a gleam in his eyes. Water wasn’t his environment by any means but the sheer grandeur of it all was enough to get his heart pumping. Even while the students still awaited instructions, he was too eager to wait and approached a stylish girl who yawned as she left the bus. He could definitely relate to it, all that thinking in the test had left him exhausted and craving for some action.

“Hey there, friend.” He greeted with a smile, controlling his voice a bit to not startle here. Even then, the excitement in his heart still bled through in his tone. “I’m Tsuru, nice to meet you. The lake over here looks amazing, doesn’t it?”

Shortly after, the teacher presented the test, to which Tsuru did his best to listen and understand. He picked up a water gun and stared it for a second, then shrugged and tied it up to his shorts. Putting both his palms together, the boy focused and took a deep breath. He then moved his palms apart, forming a longsword made of solid white wind as he did. He gave the sword a little spin around his hand as he got a good grip of it, then he turned back to the girl, who he kept near during the whole ordeal.

“Who needs guns when you can have a sword, am I right?”

The diminutive walking ink stain walks pace around shaking her hands somewhat while trying to control her panicked breathing, though once the site of the lake came up there was a small glimmer of hope as her eyes widened. This could work, maybe but...it was like that spaghetti monster in the sky was staring down on her, she was even dressed for the occasion

She would not need to worry about a fire at least through her pigments may cloud and obscure the area and that would likely get people hating her, but...she had to use her quirk right?. Scanning the gathered crowd she started to wonder how each person would go about things, blasting across the lake and flying in saving them all...but....but then again, all she needed to do is just find one right? If she can save just one person that at least gets her on the board or better would be solving the puzzle instead. Nodding to herself slowly and fidgeting they finally glance to the water as another avenue rushed into her mind, while she was good with water and even dressed for the occasion there could be any matter of traps in the water, below the surface where she couldn't see, giant spikes, depth charges, mines, sharks....well she was partially ready for the last one at least.

The gun itself, however, did give her one idea, taking the draining section of her suit and working to connect it towards the gun anything that could help...raising her chances from one in a million to two was worth the effort in the end.

Nevertheless, she's got a lot of guts." Aijou stretches her legs, does a few quick jabs in the air, and looks back at Merkava and ask "So, what's the plan? We gonna Leeroy Jenkins this?" Merkava looks at his host and blunty reply "If you're planning to just go in there and have me take all of the dummies and info before others, then how about we-" Unfortunatley, Aijou suddenly dashes off into the woods, shouting out "LEEROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOY JEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEENKIIIIIIIINS!!!" Merkava sighs in disappointment "DON'T WORRY DUMMIES! I'M COMING TO SAVE YOUUUUUUUUUUU!!!" If anyone is willing to stop her, now is the time.

Meanwhile, Kadena took some deep breaths and she needs someone to strategize with, or rather team up. She looks around the applicants and takes her attention to the redhead guy who just made a sword out of thin air.
"That guy seems to be cool. Maybe I should talk to him." Kadena thought before he goes over to him, and he is apparently talking to someone which she doesn't mind. "Hey!" She called "Ya got a cool nifty Quirk you got there. Wanna team up?"

Aijou is open

Akemi TajimaSite 1

Hopping off the bus Akemi breathed a sigh of relief that she wouldn't have to think of a way to fight giant robots with her quirk. Going over to the more together teacher she folded up her cane and swapped it out for a more sturdy fixed one just in case there was something to fight then reluctantly took Pocky off her shoulder and fitted him with his harness before handing him over to the teacher.
"Hakunetsu-sensei? I believe this was mentioned in my needs for the exam, he's well trained so should keep fairly calm but obviously he won't like explosions which would be why I'm leaving him here and..." She stopped before she rambled too much. Akemi knew that the bird wouldn't be able to accompany her on the test or any practical hero activities to come but it was still difficult to leave him behind. "Sorry sensei, I'd better go. Pocky, stay." Turning away she squared her shoulders and marched over to where the other students were milling around ignoring the chirping behind her.

Taking a position at the front of the group with the sinking vessel to her back Akemi loudly planted the end of her cane into the ground and folded her hands on top. "Alright people eyes on me! If they aren't I'll know. Here's how we do this, first order of business will be to have people with quirks that allow flight or high speed swimming retrieve the lifeboats to get the rest of us over to the ship." Keeping up her confidence she let her voice carry over the crowd and watched herself from the view of the other prospective students, if points would be deducted for bad judgement then running off on her own with no plan to even reach the ship would be a good way to fail miserably. "Now with my quirk I'll be able to see what the rest of you see as well as create images you'll be able to see." Deliberately avoiding the word 'illusion' to not freak people out or make them think she was some weird magician she focused for a moment and several people saw the word 'Testing' appear in giant red letters behind her for a moment. "Raise your hand if you saw that. Now while I won't be able to do that for everyone at once my quirk means I'm best placed to observe and control-I mean coordinate our efforts so no ignoring any writing that pops up in front of your face understood?"

Spindel brightened as Eiji agreed to work with her. Truth be told, she hadn't expected him to say yes, if only because he could probably find a better team mate if he tried.
"I think well do great together...we just need to find a way to have our quirks work in tandem", she rubbed her chin, looking to his hands. The ability to connect and reinforce things could be useful, as Eiji suggested they could make a raft for the dummies should it become necessary. He could also potentially fuse shut any holes that could be causing the ship to sink.

But how to combine it with her own quirk? After all, she couldn't have him fuse her to anything... But maybe.
Her eyes brightened, snapping her fingers she grinned. "Could you reinforce this?", holding up her hand, a tangle of black threading emerged from her finger tips. "My quirk is uh...complicated, but one thing I can do is make these threads. If they stay attached to me their fairly strong, but controlling them individually takes concentration. I can sever them, like this", the webs all dropped into her palm, now cut off from their host.

"like this it's just weak rope...but if you fuse them together...then it could maybe be useful? Outside of that, you could fuse up any holes we find in the ship, which buys us more time to search for survivors.

She looked at some of the other competitors, frowning.
"We could also use the rope to uh, Incapacitate the competition...if combat does break out?".
The idea of tying people up didn't exactly sit well with her, but Spindel wasn't combat orientated. Removing anyone who might try and stop them with force would be important if they wanted to pass.

"Oh, and uh, are you any good with shooting things? I'm afraid I don't have much practice".

Sakura Hanake

Sakura felt hopeful as the girl with the sight quirk began to take charge. Maybe she'll have an idea of what I could do? She raised her hand.

"Do you have any idea of something I could do? I'm good at climbing." Sakura really, really wanted to be useful today. If someone else had an idea of how she could shine, she'd take it.

Kuroki Noto

Just after the little mouse pipsqueak asked for guidance, Kuroki balled her fists.

"What the hell? Since when did you get to be in charge! Just cause you have a quirk that's shitty for fighting doesn't mean you get to suddenly boss the rest of us around!"

Apparently Akemi hadn't earned Kuroki's respect, yet.

HWA-YOUNG

눈을 감으면 환하게 빛나는 밤
location: site 2
interaction: open
quirk: bubble wave
age: sixteen [ and a half ]

tests were easy for her- she had nights where she would stay up later than usual just so she was prepared for them. however, when it came down to actually having to use her quirk, there wasn't much to study on when it only consisted of unpredictable actions of bubbles and foam. of all the things she could've and should've studied for, not one of them included her own quirk, neglecting it with shame instead of actually trying to figure it out like she would with literally anything else.

hwa-young's doe eyes scanned the site she was at, drawing in her bottom lip with anticipation as she listened to fellow students talk amongst themselves, only stopping when an instructor had starting speaking and giving rules. the written exam was an easy one- to her, at least. though as mentioned before, there would be no reason it wouldn't be easy for her as an intelligent girl. but there, standing in site two, the sixteen year old felt helpless and in need of a partner to work with. she looks around, trying to scout someone out, but discouraged and hoping she wouldn't find someone due to the embarrassment she held towards her quirk. if anything, she'd be better at supporting whoever she was paired with, and that'd be enough for her.

but alas, there the teen stood waiting for someone to approach her instead, in fear she would interupt something, or choose someone who already has a partner.

Originally while Liam had been sweating over the written exam and had to bump his head against a few hard objects to jump start his overworked brain from focusing pretty hard. He was pretty confident that he could just straight up tackle the physical part of the exam with no real worry. During the bus ride he was pumping himself up the entire time and began giving himself motivated words of “wisdom” to amp his spirits for this test, but of course this newfound spirit and hype was instantly destroyed. “Well I’m in trouble“ Liam mumbled under his breath as he stared at the seemingly deep waters. Liam wasn’t exactly the strongest swimmer. He was more of a land dweller than a seaman. He was heavy and he sank fast, and with his quirk would normally make it worse. His body straightened out when he heard a familiar voice realizing it was Akemi. He had almost rushed over to her to give her a hug but had decided to stay back as it seemed she was trying to talk strategy. Whew boy at least someone was taking charge he did not feel like coming up game plan so he didn’t have to. Not that he even could besides probably drowning. He listened carefully and overall agreed with her and it seemed some were willing to follow her lead. Though it seemed someone wasn’t exactly the biggest fan of Akemi taking leadership all of a sudden. “Hey easy there.” Liam said stepping in to try and diffuse the situation. “I mean-uh” Liam said stumbling over his words trying to form a sentence where he could hopefully try to calm the little rowdy girl down. “Akemi isn’t exactly wrong. She does have the best quirk for help guiding us, and big oafs like me sort of need guiding.” Liam said adding a little chuckle to his words to try and lighten the current mood. Damn he was doing pretty good at this people stuff. “I mean if you have anything better I’m sure you wouldn’t mind telling us.” Liam paused for a bit as he realized that perhaps what he just said maybe have come off a little rude or snarky. Oh god hopefully he didn’t just aggravate the situation further.

Eiji Touzai [x] - AA applicant
Testing Grounds - Site 2

"Well..." Eiji tentatively answered, not wanting to admit to being less than useful. "Not that I know of. But maybe one of us will have an untested talent for shooting water guns. At least they can't do too much damage if it goes wrong."

He took a while longer to consider her previous questions, and reached out a hand for the threads in hers. "May I?" he asked, and took the severed strings as best he could without awkward hand brushing. "Uh... how about this?" It wasn't particularly skillful, but at least it was simple; pushing the threads together in his fingers was enough to make them stick to each other, still half-tangled. If he took the time to try and weave them, maybe it would be even better. But this wasn't bad, and Eiji pressed the makeshift rope back into Spindel's palm for her approval.

"I should say now, though," he added, wondering if his face was going red while he talked himself down even further. "I can't... unfuse things." Said out loud, it sounded ridiculous. Whoever heard of a hero unable to counter their own quirk? It was like a fire quirk user susceptible to burns. "And it's not temporary. But! It means that if I fuse something, it won't break apart again. In fact, it... I'd say it becomes stronger than the rest of it. So... so it should be difficult for anyone to break free, if we have to... You're right: people might get too competitive." Or just rowdy in general, now that he looked around them. There was no guarantee that any of them would try to sabotage anyone else, but it was best to plan for as many eventualities as they could. Better that than to be caught by surprise and fail because of it.
