The war-fueled Officer of Battle;

Kotlinsky, the Commandant

Is… is this some sort of sick joke? He could only give that of a what others would say a deadpan stare towards none other than the newly named ‘Cthulhu-Chan’ herself… a few seconds of awkward silence filling the air. In all honesty, within his head, this must be a joke or something, there was little chance of the person that he was talking to was none other than a version of the very main threat they were facing as of now. Not only that, but the name as well, it was as if one didn’t care much about taking the name and instead, placed in a random word such as this ‘Chan’ in return, as if it was a great accompaniment on its own. Now, internally, his doubts began to show up within himself whether or not the claims of this individual were truly what they were said to be, after all, he knew that having a Cthulhu on their team, apparently another version of them, that wasn’t the same as the one they were fighting was similar to that of a play with two individuals who are the same person at the opposite side of fray. A spy or twin one would say. Yet, externally, he decided to go along with such… play along with their little game so that he wouldn’t ruin the reputation he was trying to set up.

“I see, well, nonetheless ‘Cthulhu-Chan’… may we work well together on the field of battle when the time calls for it.”

Before turning to face the new individual who had called out to him. A woman in… ‘strange’ attire. What she spoke of was him skimming the one percent of this ‘Multiverse’, seeing only a small glance of what’s to expect from it. A wide series of worlds, some of which, have the same scenes play out with different outcomes, even meeting one’s own father from what she had put it. If this were years before he had gone into such a thing, he would have merely pass it off as madman speech and execute the individual in front of him. Yet, with what he had experienced in the recent times as well as this whole scenario reinforcing such a view, he was willing to put in some belief in the matter. So, responding in the same old tone again, he had said in response.

“With what I have come to know and learn throughout my years… sometimes, you have to put some belief into things that may have been impossible from your common knowledge. After all, I’ve come to experience things that a normal person wouldn’t know…”

And with that, he turned to face, yet, another voice. More needed information (while ignoring the useless talk about the importance of nutrition in the background by the glasses individual… honestly, while he knows it’s important, this wasn’t the time for it). A piece of Cthulhu is upon this world, along with page within a mountain he can spot from the side of the cave. Oddly convenient, although, considering that the apprentice was watching over this world for a while, it would make sense that she would know of the location of the page but didn’t have the resources or men-power to attempt at claiming it. Although, strange that the beast wasn’t able to reach the page yet, but, there must be some sort of defense installed if it was capable of warding off said piece of Cthulhu until now. Let’s hope that it didn’t include them as well. Moving outside along with the rest of the group, the full force of the cold winds outside had struck him, but, it was tolerable still even when being it with such. Facing the others, although, controlling his voice as to not attract whatever may be here, he had begun issuing his first commands.

“Allies, if we were to continue forward, I must suggest a few things if we were to not be inefficient within our fighting. Firstly, I suggest we form rankings, or formation if you will. Frontline focuses warriors and soldiers will be our front guard, being the first to encounter the threat head on. I only suggest that you will be capable of taking a hit or agile enough to dodge attacks. Me, along with the support and range will make up both the middle guard and the rear guard, with those capable of not only focusing supporting our allies or attacking from afar, but also not as strong to attack in the frontlines or get hit will stay here. And in the rear guard, a mixture of the both, reason being in the off-chance of our foes attempting to strike our weaker individuals from behind, the rear guard shall move to defend them from harm. But like the frontlines, I do suggest those having the same traits as well. Lastly, everyone must remain watching their environment for any small details that may look off. We all must work together in order to defend each other, and working to call out the danger before it strikes aids in such a goal.”

The Commandant finished, waiting to see not only responses in the matter, but also moving to the middle of the group to maintain said formation.

Inui was barely waking up. His mind felt fuzzy and he barely had any sense on himself. He felt scared. Dark places were never any fun, and he hated waking up somewhere new. He wanted to be hugged. He wanted some kind of comfort.

"Somebody," He began to squeak, "I'm scared...Somebody, help...!"

Inui's voice was small, timid and insignificant in the dull light of the room. He wanted to be held, to be told that everything was alright.

How cruel reality tended to be.

Iron Man (Tony Stark)

"Jarvis, where exactly are we?"
Tony asked quietly, uncharacteristically silent throughout this entire thing. He had been suffering from a. hangover and as such had not been paying attention to the proceedings, but the first thing he had noticed was the odd assortment of characters around him, and that the place looked dramatically different from before.

"Jarvis, you read me?" Tony said again but all he got was static. "Huh, something must have fried his circuits!"

Aloy

Aloy woke to dull room filled with an assortment of characters and simply,
"what? Where am I?!" Having been kidnapped on more than a number of occasions, a sudden change in scenery. wasn't new! What was new was the new creatures around her. She was just about to ask one of them where the hells she was when she heard a quiet. whimper and turned to see Inui just sqwaking and murmering pitifully to himself. "Hey there, you alright?"

Inui hadn't expected an answer. He squeaked in surprise and jumped back. He backed up into a wall and held himself. He felt more scared than he had ever felt before. It was an odd feeling, fear. Sometimes, it wad the best thing to feel. It meant you were alive.

Now, was not one of those times. Inui began to sob and howl, scared of everything that was happening and just wishing he remembered who he was, where he was, how he had gotten there and more. He didn't want to die. Not yet, not now.

Aloy

"It's alright little guy, I won't hurt you!"
Aloy said, trying her best to seem friendly.

Iron Man (Tony Stark)

"So let me get this straight from the top of my very muddled memory, you summoned us? To face .... something right? Ugh. Hangovers suck. Give me moment! Ugh!"

Inui was hiding in his hat and coat, shaking softly in the corner. He didn't trust voices from the darkness, nor did he trust anyone who was new. He was a typical animal. He wouldn't trust someone new, not yet. Not until he was safe.

However, he would most likely have to trust people soon. Or else.

Cthulhu-Chan stood up, one of her small tentacles attached to her back grabbed the food that was offered before it was put into a small portal for later. She then dusted off her dress and followed the apprentice out of the cave.

Iron Man notices that most of the people have gone. And goes out. into the tundra where he notices the one person he least expected - the PUNISHER!

"YOU!"

Inui ran out of the cave and just followed the group at a distance. He didn't want to be alone at all, and, honestly, he hated being alone or abandoned.

The Commandant’s urging to form up drew a smirk from the witch, who was a seasoned close-quarter fighter. “I insist on taking point, Commandant,” she stated nonchalantly. “I love greeting a rough and rowdy lot.” Her usual sultry tone took on a dangerous edge as her long legs carried her towards the front of the pack.

Frank Castle had endured the hell of Vietnam six times. The MRE’s were bland and often dry. He felt a twinge of nostalgia as Tatsu doctored the meat, though; his neighbor Joan occasionally brought over a meal or invited him and others on his floor to dinner at her apartment. Tatsu reminded Frank of some combination of Joan and a Yakuza flunky. Still, Frank had found a newer, bigger war and thus wanted to feel at war, sufficing on only the necessities with no luxuries or comforts—and he dared anyone to say coffee wasn’t essential. It was all about the strife, the challenge, the rush.

Just as he thought he was set to take his place among the marksman, he heard a dramatic call-out in a familiar voice. He turned to look and froze when he recognized who it was—Tony friggin’ Stark. “Oh, son of a bitch,” he groaned. “Stark, I’m not sure if I should be glad or annoyed that we’re on the same team.” The two had a long and sordid past, as most New York crime-fighters have had with Frank. Seeing the Punisher working with a team was a dead giveaway that the situation was dire.

Rune Kindle

The Knight was given some meat rations and a strange metal tin filled with water, with a lid. "Interesting device. Thankyou, Nadia."
"Sir Kotlinsky, You gave a good speech. And I shall provide the frontline an advantage of sword and shield. However, Your strategy seems dim. We would need some sort or form of artillery. Such as flaming arrows or cannonballs."
He paused a moment, preparing to introduce himself. "Ahem. I am Rune Kindle, of The Templar Knights. I fight for the lord and he provides' us wholesomely. Where I hail from, It is most smiled upon that facing the pain head-on with be less painful than taking it later."

Jak turned toward the portal and was quick to dive right through with his ottsel pal, Daxter into a freezing cave filled to the brim with other strangers.

With that, the girl who started giving out coats and rations to everyone was fine. Jak took some of the rations the girl( Caffeine Freak Caffeine Freak ) was handing out and gave some to Daxter who in return, made a disgusted face but took a careful bite of the substance who took it and ate it as slow as he could.

Daxter then took a fake smile and nodded “Best thing I ate today…”

Jak grunted “Behave, Dax” as he grabbed some rations himself, being familiar with having not much to eat for days. He nibbled on the hard rations, getting used to the taste. “Not bad, tastes a bit like Yakow steak.”

Daxter muttered “Fine, Jak.. have it your way..”

The ottsel didn’t need a fur coat when he was already covered in fur and had pants.

“Is that supposed to be a sick joke?” looking at the fur coat given to him and Jak.

The eco warrior shrugged, covering himself with it even though it wasn’t his style.

It was then two more folks.. Three more folks…

One covered in Iron ( PolikShadowbliss PolikShadowbliss ), A woman with dreadlocks ( PolikShadowbliss PolikShadowbliss ) all came into view, more and more people were in this group. After all, a huge group can cover more ground, right? A guy with glasses, another man,(@Xeridan) , ( Stricken Steel Stricken Steel ) and a woman with multicolored hair (

He swore two of the people in the group looked “familiar” but didn’t say anything.

But there was someone trying to cover ground with some sort of commands to the group.

Jak caught word of some of the words that the Commandment said to the group (@Larzlo1505) and crossed his arms “I can frontline and cover the group’s butts if needed, stranger from the rear if needed. Depends on how many strong powered beings we have in the group. Me and dax can cover anywhere you need us to.”

The eco warrior looked to the knight ahead "Hey, Mr. Knight, I got the gun part covered." Stricken Steel Stricken Steel

Unit on standby

The harsh winter wind rushed towards the faces of the group and she was no exception. The current weather condition of the traveling party puts her at a small disadvantage if combat is to happen right now. She did not worry.

A few torches light the dark path ahead. Nadia knows the path and her job to be prepared for anything that comes close to the party, especially Nadia. The cold is something she is used to backing home given the high altitudes of the city of Edenbaum. Snow was a different story.

She kept tagged along close to the apprentice, easily lost if she were to stray apart from the torchlights of others as she herself does not have one lit. The commandant calls forth his improv allies, suggesting now is the time to form rankings and battle formation. Realizing herself positioned in the front lines, she dropped walking speed to reach closer to the commandant's range. The Dark clothed young woman kept pace in the middle instead of the front. Of all time and place why now? She wondered but never entertained the question and simply followed subtly by automatically adjusting behind lines. Visually obvious, she's an archer. Nothing too impressive. An iron bow wielder amongst the more powerful individuals.

"Things must be dire indeed if they recuited you on this makeshift of ours!" Tony said, waving his arms wide, "very dire indead for someone to recruit someone whose mortality is questionable, though personally I think these summoners of ours may have been picking at random."

Aloy looked at Jak and felt as if he was "familiar" to her but didn't know why. So it was to him, that she made her first real interaction.

"Hello I'm Aloy, have we met before? I swear I've seen you from somewhere!"

"I got the close combat part covered." He said as he walked ahead of the others.

If the smack talk from salty Stark fazed Frank, it wasn’t obvious. “I have no time to fight with missile-peddling trust fund babies,” he rebuffed the superhero while preparing his flashlight for the march. “Right now, there’s a god threatening everything you and your boy scouts worked for and then some. Sober up, put that wearable Lite Brite to use, and help escort these people up the mountain.”

Inui seemed to be scared, and rushed forward with the group. Interestingly, he stayed close to Godzilla, not wanting to be seperated from the beast. He looked scared, hungry, and alone, though, he often used his hat to hide his expression.

"Ca-can I st-st-stay by you, si-sir...?" He asked Godzilla timidly.

Location unknown.

The four soldiers cautiously made their way up the barren hillside, keeping low to avoid detection as they watched the last of the 'blips' on their motion tracker vanish from sight; deducing that the majority of contacts had gone through the portal. Egressing further up the hill and finally arriving at the location, they took a moment to analyze the portal. Unfortunately, no one carried an A.I to give a proper analysis. With an uneasy glance back toward the world around them, all four strode through the portal and into the cavern on the other side. Almost immediately, their night vision activated to compensate for the low level of light as they switched to a secure channel; muting their helmet's external speakers. Jack was the first to break the silence.

"Suit thermals are detecting a drop. We're fine, but we've just been sent through a cave formation of some sort." Jack concluded, taking a moment to look back to the location of where the portal was. Unsurprisingly to him, it was gone. Not even an EM signature remained.

"Ten plus foot-mobiles up ahead. Small cluster formation. Orders?" Felix questioned. His remark prompted the team of four to assume a tight spread. Once they determined that their flank was secure, they shifted their focus to the group of individuals just a few hundred meters ahead of them. Almost immediately, they knew something was way off. There were some unknowns in the cluster of mostly-Human individuals, and not a single one of them had flashed back a UNSC IFF. Jack once again spoke up.

"Four, can you get a closer assessment of that group?"

"I...negative, Lead. Camo's down."

"Drop-shield is down, too. Interference?"

"Considering we just went thro' a portal, a'd say so."

"Great. Weapons lowered and at the ready, I'll be taking point. Stay close, and be prepared for imminent hostilities." Jack's order prompted a soft single-tone acknowledgment from the other three members of his fireteam as he slowly made his way forward toward the group. The cave, as intriguing as it was a circumstance for all present, was not a concern to bother searching around for. He needed answers, and one way or another, he was going to get them.

C-Chan remained close to the front of the group as she had left only seconds after Nadia. Probably surprising to most C-Chan didn’t take a coat, she never needed anything to keep warm, she was from the ocean depths after all.

“ah… reminds me of home” she chuckled to herself before looking back and seeing who else was following.

“how are you doing back there Gojira?” She asked as she looked at Godzilla.

“how about you two? Not too cold for an eco warrior?” She asked as she looked at Jak and Daxter darkred darkred
