The Outpost 'Government' is run by fileing survivors underneath groups lead by commanders and these are:
Scavengers|The life blood of the outpost, they are the ones who keep track of everything happening outside of the compound along with finding recruits, and food. They also tend to be the peacemongers of the outpost when it comes to other survivor groups. Former players of running sports and those who are quick on their feet are excellent for this role
Medics|If scavengers are the lifeblood, Medics are the white blood cells. In any society, the sick and injured need proper treatment. Everyone should know first aid and other life-saving techniques, but a professional would be advisable. Other forms of doctors will be necessary too. Vets can help injured or sick animals, psychiatrists can help keep people in good mental health. Even scientific doctors will help store knowledge, although this is more useful in the aftermath.
Guards|The toughest of the groups, they protect the outpost from outside and inside dangers. And when push comes to shove, they're the ones to raid other groups. Guards should be trustworthy and strong. Raiding will make them and the settlement feared and possibly attacked in reprisal, so they should only raid sparingly, if at all. Otherwise, Military combat arms personnel, combat veterans, and special response team personnel are excellent examples of individuals that can serve in this role.
Inventors| Tradesmen, Engineers, Blacksmiths, or really anyone who can brainstorm plans or ideas for the outpost. Many of them will be on creating better defenses for the outpost, but also creating a more comfortable environment. They are like the universal club when a survivor doesn't have really defined skill.
Suppliers|Business owners and cooks, they are the ones who organize the loot gotten from scavengers and raids, using a little as possible while still being effective.
