Name: Headmaster Pyragoras

Background: Pyragoras is a powerful mage who has studied magic among the shamans of the east and the tower-wizards of the west. His entire life has been in the pursuit of arcane knowledge, although his intellectual interests also extend into archeology, languages, comparative religion, and esoteric philosophy.

Little of his parentage or childhood is known, save that he is noble at least on his father's line, but anything else he will not say. He arrived in Astrophil eighty years ago and came to be a delight to Headmaster Oreti in the final years of his life as well as integrating himself with the staff of the University by becoming a professor of magic. As a charismatic and well-read man, he became a favorite of the establishment figures in the University and thus it was no surprise he was made headmaster after Oreti's death.
Reputation: Pyragoras is known as a charismatic politician and impassioned scholar, but little else. He seems to have no interests either in romantic or artistic pursuits, has no discernable religious beliefs, and is generally guarded about his political stances. Most of the community views him as upright, likeable, and dazzlingly brilliant if a bit of a hermit.
Personality: Pyragoras is pleasant in conversation but not particularly gregarious. He is more introverted and guarded, meticulous in his manners, and clinically detached in his personal relationships.

Name: Professor Alvo Archon

Background:
Alvo was born in the Imperial capital, the son of well-to-do bureaucrats who worked in the Senate. As a child, he showed great potential for magic use, and when he was fifteen his parents sent him off to the military academy for training as a battle mage. While serving in the Imperial Legion, Alvo was part of a team exploring the ruins of the ancient city of Nefer-kha in the eastern deserts where guirellas were rumored to be hiding and plotting open war on the Empire.

What they found instead were several ancient tomes, only Alvo having the foggiest idea what they meant. Therefore he took them while dismissing them as mere almanacks and agricultural manuscripts. Every night in his barracks, he hungrily ate and digested the forbidden knowledge contained in the tomes and by candlelight he grew in learning of the arcane arts both white and black. After an honourable discharge, he became apprentice to a wizard called Elias Ghormund, a magic-user famed doubly for his abilities as well as his lack of moral qualms. While accompanying Ghormund, he took on the role of a teacher's assistant as he attained his professorship at the University. When Ghormund died, the University promised its resources to Alvo's continued study if he would run their Arcane School, to which he accepted.
Reputation: Professor Archon's reputation is so cliche that most people do not really believe what they say about him. He is said to be a wizard-hermit working long hours locked in his tower, but in reality he is more often invoked as a goodly old man who doesn't get out much.
Personality: Professor Archon is reserved, erudite, and has the kindly demeanor of an old man. While his academic pursuits may be less than noble, he has never been accused of foul magics and his grandfatherly means of carrying himself adds to this affect.

Name: Master Antonio Ballachi, Lord Mayor of Astrophil
Age: 45

Background:
Antonio Ballachi was, once upon a time, an orphan and a fishmonger's apprentice. His parents death left him in the care of a cruel Master Fishmonger who doled out beatings as frequently as instructions. The Guild was, however, the way that young Antonio endeavored to make his mark on the world.

In spite of, or perhaps because of, his master's draconian discipline, Antonio became a journeyman fishmonger at 17 and a Master at 30. With his quick wits and political acumen, he rose up the ranks of the guild system until he was, as it happened, safely in control as the Grand Master of the Fishmonger's Guild, the most powerful in Astrophil. His political ambitions soon found a patron in Headmaster Pyragoras, whose influence assisted Ballachi in attaining the mayorship in return for placing a representative of the University as a permanent voting member of the Auditorio, the city's governing council.

Reputation:
Master Ballachi is known to be equal-parts brilliant businessman and conniving lothario. To his political allies, he is a ruthless bulldog that will defend their interests with the utmost gusto. To his enemies, he is an amoral but undeniably powerful. His real status as being halfway in the pocket of the University is little known, and would be met with incredulity as the popular consensus is currently that HE has THEM by the nose.

Personality:
Ballachi's personality can be summarized as, "mean, dishonest, but possessing a certain kind of malicious charisma." He is undoubtably a bad person, but is often able to spin his lack of virtue as a virtue in and of itself.

History:
The University was founded eight hundred years ago as the Imperial Arcane Academy in the capital of the Imperium, a once-powerful institution that boasted the patronage of several emperors and wealthy aristocrats. In those days, the Academy had extremely influential Headmasters that excercised political control in the capital via the use of agents or, more commonly, unassuming scholars who were loaned to Senators and Imperial officials as scribes. This period of extensive political influence coincided with, and was directly tied to, a period of great patronage and large sums of money flowing into the coffers from the tuition of Imperial blue-bloods.

When Emperor Claudio XII ascended the throne, who was considered mad by some contemporaneous sources but is universally agreed by historians to have been fiercely anti-intellectual, the University came under intense suspicion not only for rumors of blasphemous magic, but also for their now well-understood system of political influence. Punitive actions were taken against various alumni of the University, and gradually the ranks of the undergraduates came to be filled with second-sons and commoners who could not pay the exorbitant tuition of earlier eras. The final blow came at the end of Claudio XII's reign, when Imperial officials arrested Headmaster Lucreto on charges of necromancy. Whether or not the claims were true, it was the final blow to the institution's reputation. Many scholars left to form their own school.

One such man of learning was Bassanio Oreti, a native of what was then the Imperial colony of Astrophil on the eastern coasts. He returned home and dazzled the townsfolk with his powerful magic that he had learned during his time at the Academy, quickly becoming court mage to the Governor Loritas. By the end of his career, he had persuaded the local government to finance the University of Illuminas which he assumed control of as Headmaster a hundred years ago. After Oreti's death, Headmaster Pyragoras took over and expanded the University, which grew once more to control the political apparatus of Astrophil and the surrounding provinces as it does today. Now, under his leadership, the University has once again attained an illustrious status as the greatest house of learning in the east, and possibly in the Empire as a whole. Alongside locals and other frontier-dwellers, a sizeable portion of the University's scholars are Imperials of noble lineage.

Significance: Astrophil, when it was founded four hundred years ago by Imperial colonists, was the farthest extent of Imperial culture and civilization. It became one of the major trade hubs of the east and was once a major port for the Imperial Navy. In more recent years, it has become home to the University of Illuminas. Additionally, given a magical phenomenon tied to the city's prime geographic location, all the stars and constellations of both hemispheres can be viewed from a tall tower at different times of the year.

History: One of the first settlements built outside Astrophil by the wave of Imperial settlers that arrived in the provinces four centuries ago, Vallis is a valley town set deep into the Centralicca River Valley. From the onset, the power of the city's mills was unrivaled due to the strong flowing current of the river in this part of the province. Quickly, mills cropped up grinding the province's wheat into flour, offering power options for the mechanical looms that spun sheeps' fleece into fine fabrics, and opening up a new industry of tree-agriculture whereby the intentionally-planted new-growth forests of the area could be habitually harvested and sawed for lumber.

A century ago, Vallis became the undisputed largest settlement in the province, and by that virtue it was made the provincial capital. It's small but proficient stone walls ward off bandits and discourage smaller raiding attacks by the natives.

History: While the current-day settlement of Redemptia is only three-hundred years old, it sits on the site of almost a thousand year-old Imperial ruins. Long ago, the Imperial explorer Emiritus Riue set sail for the eastern coast of Ovalina to establish an Imperial outpost in the region. In those more pious times, the journey was given religious significance and he was entrusted with the relics of Emperor Ussevius III, not the greatest emperor to ever live, but one whose kindness and mercy towards the poor made him beloved among the Imperial Pantheon.

The explorer founded the city of Ussevia, centered on a great shrine to Ussevius that consisted of a repurposed native temple. The colony prospered, but the remoteness of the city from Imperial lands made travel and communication difficult. Fifty years after the city's founding, it was ransacked by a tribe of invaders from the north. The city was depopulated and fired, with all of the wood dwellings perishing in the flames. All that remained were the stone and marble Imperial structures and the Great Shrine to Ussevius - the great bronze doors of which remained locked and unmolested for almost a millennium.

Three hundred years ago, when Imperial settlers began considering the reclamation of the ruins, a scouting party was sent to the ruined city to investigate what sort of people or creatures inhabited the area. The settlers were wearied by constant warring with the natives and an outbreak of disease from an unfamiliarity with the local fauna and sought the refuge of the lost city. When the scouts unlocked the great doors, an apparition of the shrine's patron appeared and instructed them to reclaim the city and bring their sick and wounded to him promptly. The apparition was recorded to have miraculously cured five-hundred ailing settlers and healed thirty soldiers, some grievously wounded. The Imperials reclaimed the city, dubbing it Redemptia, and the waters of the Shrine are, to this day, thought to have healing powers, drawing pilgrims from all over the Empire. The religious significance of the city spawned a new monastic order - The Ussevian Order, whose monasteries produce Astreterrica's sweetest and most fragrant wines and spirits. The city itself, a combination of new Imperial architecture and old, is very beautiful and draw many sight-seers who wish only to look upon her waterfalls and temples and marvel.
Military:

Army: Most of the foot-soldiers at the disposal of the University of Illuminas are the retinue of the Lord Mayor of Astrophil. A small but professional force of soldiers, the Mayoral Army of Astrophil fights in the Imperial Tercio style with mixed handgunner and pike regiments, with supporting wings of shield-and-spear footmen. They have a small force of heavy cavalry known as Black Elmeti, non-noble knights who fight for pay more than honor. The total of the army, including cannon and crew, is 7,800 men.

Native Involvement:

The natives of the marshy land that is now the Colony of Astreterrica are the Cribbiton, a race of amphibious humanoids that once called the area home. When Imperial colonists arrived, the Cribbiton were a tribal people that had barely advanced into the agricultural age. After initial conflict with the settlers, the
Cribbiton realized that their way of life was unsustainable as they could never hope to overcome the Imperial colonists by force of arms and the damming of the rivers was destroying the habitats that they once thrived in. While some remained "wild," living in caravans and turning mostly to hunting, foraging, and banditry for continued survival in the colony's backwaters, others integrated with the human colonists. Owing to their helpful and gregarious nature, they were able to gain support for the passage of the Decree of Native Dignity in the colony's government which gave them rights as Common-folk and protected them from slavery - as they made lowsy slaves anyways. While most Cribbiton (singular Cribbit) can be found working on farms in the western portions of Astreterrica, there is also a sizeable contingent of natives who serve in the Army, as discrimination against them is still widespread and the coin from the army is better than wages from day labor. In combat, Cribbits are weaker and shorter than humans but more agile, making them good swordsmen, bowmen, and scouts.

Being a maritime trading economy, Astrophil's Colonial Navy is a small but relatively modern and well-trained force specialized for anti-piracy and protecting coastal trade routes. While much of the actual trade of the colony is executed under the watchful eyes of the region's old Imperial-built coastal forts, the many merchantmen entering and leaving the Port of Astrophil are often escorted by the city's galleys. The total number of crewmen in the Colonial Navy is 2,265.

The only units that could be considered "their" soldiers, the University fields a small army of 60 clockwork golems, mechanized soldiers commanded by mages in squads of around five. While few in number, they are valuable for showcasing the University's technological and arcane marvels as well as supplementing the city's forces on the ground, who are often fighting on their behalf.

Achilliar was born as a son of a slave and a soldier. He managed to escape from his boss and enlisted in the army as a Arnoriathinian mercenary. He was trained by a legendary Arnoriathinian warrior named Glarassaer. Glarassaer was eventually killed in battle but not before Achilliar was well trained. Achilliar learned tactics and fast the other soldiers followed him and made him their leader. Thereby he became "general" of the mercenary company.
Achilliar Eryliothan returned with his army, and he found a city in chaos. With his army, he made him king by force. And now from a mighty general he became king of Arnoriathin.
Reputation: Achilliar is known as a legendary fighter, and a smart tactician. He has a strong religious mindset following the god Trasanar. Which is the god of war, in the Arnoriathinian religion. He doesn’t allow any other religion then the Arnoriathinian, other religions are heretic to him.
Personality: Achilliar is righteous men. Most of the times he’s a bit brutesque.

Name: Cameron Kaija Alegra Aatto Kai Eymund I.
Age: Fifteen.
Race: Human.
Background: Cameron was the youngest to inherit the position of Reserve Baron or Regrave in his family bloodline. His father passed when he was approaching eight years of age and in a series of regrettable events many of those more suited to the position, such as his mother and uncle, were removed from the picture as well. Desperate to keep the reserve under the Eymund bloodline's supervision, his father's staff and trusted advisors devised a plan to forge letters from the previous Regrave and send them to the senate until the boy's twelfth birthday where he was legally old enough to be inherit the title from his father. Cameron attended court much like any other noble child would and began networking within the region from the age of ten relying heavily on his advisors to do most of the negotiating for him. To some he was considered a 'cool and refreshing summer's breeze' while to others he was seen as a 'mucus dripping insult'. Cameron quickly learnt what the majority of influential figures wanted from partners and political allies and attempted to play the part. While his youth has been his biggest barrier, he grows older with each passing day.
Reputation: In spite of his age, he is oddly respected amongst the upper class rings of the east for his passion regarding politics and the magical arts. To those of a more traditional mindset he is both regarded as a clueless child and a beacon of senatorial incompetence.
Personality: Because of Cameron's treatment by older nobles and the loss of his family he has come to expect the worst from people. He expects insults before greetings, ridicule before praise, and disgust before admiration. This jaded perspective of people and the world around him has allowed him to take heated insults as little more than idle chitchat and has strengthened his resolve regarding temper control and personal pursuits. He puts his full faith in his staff and the emperors above, but knows that at the end of it all his say is final and the most important. This authority has gone to his head over the years and while he may appear calm and collected for a teenaged boy, he gets a thrill from exercising his authority over others.
Strengths: Politically astute, His age and appearance disguise his motives, Level headed.
Weaknesses: Physically maturing, Easily dismissed, Lacks proper physical or magical tutoring, Strategically lacking.
Other: Cameron rarely had time to play with other children and has been known to play games not with children around Eymundslaitur, but with the staff around his manor. Cameron is well versed in chess as well as tag and a local game called Elves and Senators where the elves hide and the senators have to search for them.

Name: Delilah Tek'var.
Age: Forty-nine.
Race: Orc.
Background: Delilah was raised in the western parts of Ovalina near the imperial city. Born into slavery and raised to be nothing but a slave, Delilah was exposed to a rough childhood and made to work in the mines from the age of around six. She never knew her parents or any of her relatives and she learned fairly quickly that not having those family member connections made being a slave a little easier. At meal times or when a child had hurt themselves, Delilah would watch as their owners teased and tormented them about the potential of seeing their families again. On her thirteenth birthday she was sold from the miners she'd been in service to and was given to a mature orcish man who had served in the navy after becoming a freeman. She was purchased for recreational uses and expected to carry his children as he lacked a wife. She was his only slave and as time moved on between the two she found he never beat her or tormented her. He taught her how to behave like a lady without use of a cane or his hands, and showed her how to read the same way he'd learnt to. His gentle nature brought her comfort and when she had two children to him he gave her freedom. She graciously accepted the offer but remained with him until two years after her freedom, where the two would be wed. Delilah took his last name and their children, though bastards, were considered as free as they were. By the time her children were five and six, Delilah was growing on thirty one. She knew her husband, who was at least forty years older than herself, was approaching the end of his time. Sooner than anticipated however, her husband took ill and became bedridden. For the last year of his life he couldn't move and all of what little wealth they had to their name was spent on healers and doctors. At first they came to save him from death's door but eventually they came to ease his suffering.
Once he passed, Delilah was forced to sell what little she had. The wealth she made from the sales was too little and it lasted barely a year before she had to do the unthinkable. Faced with homelessness for herself and her children or selling the one thing she had left, Delilah barely hesitated to sell herself back into slavery once passing off her children to an old friend of her husband's. She earned herself a fair value and the money went directly to her children who, from last she knew, were enrolled in a magic institute to secure their freedom and position in society. Knowing her children were safe made her return to slavery all that much easier. With her demeanour and backstory of freewoman turned slave for the love of her children, she found herself to catch the eyes of the more savoury buyers in the empire. Many turned her down for her orcish appearance and others by the price tag. She was eventually purchased by a man in the imperial city as a nanny, maid, and concubine all wrapped into one. Of course she capitulated to whatever his requests were and played the awkward role of loving mother to these wealthy children while their actual mother was busy focusing on finances. When the last of their children matured after three years of service, she was purchased by another noble who lived in the far east. He signed every document she could read with the title of Regrave Eymund.
Her travel to his reserve was uncomfortable and spent in the company of other slaves destined for less luxurious roles in the east. The driver of the slaves often told stories about the things he'd seen the slaves experience in the east and didn't hesitate to include gore and despair in these tales. There were certain stories that irked her more than the rest and others that brought her comfort. One of the tales that struck a nerve with her was how some of the slaves would be released into forests and fields for noble hunting, or how slaves would sometimes be slaughtered for the amusement of the bored upper rings and savages. She was relieved when she found the journey with the majority of other slaves ended at a small village that existed solely to ferry supplies and people across the channel. She, along with a dozen other slaves, was loaded into large barred crates and sent across the way. When they arrived on the other side at Eymundslaitur they were greeted by dock workers who leisurely unloaded them and unpacked the rest of the ferry. The slaves were sent to manor of the regrave and told to wait for him until he allowed them inside. They waited from noon till dusk before the regrave allowed them inside. They were briefed about their roles and told to treat the manor with respect and love as it was now as much their home as it was his family's.
For the four years she was in service to the regrave Sebastian Eymund she found his company pleasant, his manners outstanding, and his passion unparalleled. Which is why it came to no surprise when he was the first to get involved in the relief efforts after the mountain erupted. She watched from the manor as he rode out each and every day in the months following the explosion to help the tribes recover and remain calm. The last day he returned his hands were stained black and remained such a colour for the rest of his days, however short those were.
Delilah remained in his service until he and his family left the reserve. She received word from their guard company of tragedy and immediately called in the staff to discuss the issue. She came to the conclusion that they would have to shelter the boy until he was of age to inherit the position of regrave from his now deceased father. The staff carried out this plan with every letter sent back to the senate forged by her hand and hers alone. She cared for the heir, young Cameron, as if he were her own and coordinated the staff they way Sebastian had. In time she became the unofficial matriarch of the manor and official head of staff. She stood by Cameron on the day of his appointment and announced with pride to the world that he was now the regrave of Kevra Nota. Since then she has stood by him every step of the way and been behind him as both a supporting figure, and arguably a controlling one who guides his acts and decisions.
Reputation: Delilah's race and past betray her. She is seen as simple minded and thuggish because of her orc heritage and as uneducated and unimportant because of her position as a slave. Reputation: Once a man of prestige and honour, Marcello's abandonment of his responsibilities upon the discovery of what those were has lead to mixed responses. Among those who have a disliking towards the senate and the empire as a whole he is seen as something of a moral figure turning away from corruption to follow his personal convictions. To those in Kevra Nota is he regarded as a man with a shameful past but a brilliant mind, one that can't be wasted at the gallows or behind bars and thus must be obscured from external eyes.

The city originally started as a quiet village for those in service to the Eymund family and grew into a small township in time. After Roderick Eymund II installed the first pier, Roderick's pier, and began to focus on fishing the town attracted more and more people who were willing to take the land bridge from west to east. Watching the traffic grow, Roderick II came to the conclusion that the town could benefit from conducting its own ferry service and it proved quite beneficial. The ferry service was small scale originally but after four generations Kajus Eymund I arranged a deal with the local merfolk of the channel. In exchange for a portion of fishing turn overs, the merfolk were expected to excavate a portion of the channel to allow larger ships to travel the passage. The merfolk were quick to agree to the terms and took barely a year to increase the depths of the channel. The depths of the channel allowed larger ships to cross, which meant heavier cargoes, and also enabled those who were fearful of the tariffs and tolls that accompanied the northern land bridge to ignore them and instead pay a shipment and storage fee. This proved essential for those who had dubious intents with their cargo, those attempting to escape the law, or those who simply wanted to remain discreet. With that in mind, it came to no one's surprise when the senate took an interest in the small city and demanded they establish an embassy for imperial law makers and diplomats.

History: The Holy Order of Calais was originally a holy order established by the Emperor centuries ago to help civilize and settle the eastern continent from its headquarters in the western portion of the strait. Intending to make all bow before the will of the God Emperor, the Holy Order began its invasion of the eastern continent with its Knights, Crusaders, and mercenaries. However, rather than finding a typical civilization, the Order encountered the Bandar, a loosely organized primitive people who lived in various tribes. It was rare to find a Bandar with iron weapons or tools. However, the forests of the region proved to be their natural environment as they moved with strength and grace through the forest, deploying fierce and rapid ambushes against the Holy Order with such veracity that even the Orcish mercenaries among them were terrified to fight in single combat with the Bandar. Rather than fighting in normal pitched battles, the Order began to cooperate with other local tribes who were rivals with each other and pit many of them against each other.

This motion to stir internal instability among the Bandar allowed the Order to move in with little resistance and claim the first provinces within the eastern continent. The Order was rewarded with its success by granting the Order control of the lands it had conquered, which in turn the Order turned into a Holy State with its members, allies, and supporters benefiting handsomely from the elevation in status. Many of the Knights, Crusaders, mercenaries and allies of the Order turned into settlers and lords of the lands. Thus, the mission of the now Holy States switched from conquering to assimilating. With this switch, the Holy States now serve as a intermediary with the Empire and its interests in the east.

Adakari Clansmen are the simplest of the Adakari military.

Quareg Lancers are the cavalry of the Adakari. On their Sand Steeds, they are far faster and far more nimble than their counterparts from other nations, and use this to their advantage, preforming quick hit and run charges. Although their armor is light, they are armed with lance, shield, sabre, and several javelins.

The Tasmaar Warriors are heavier infantry that also function as skirmishers, hurling javelins into pike formations to soften the enemy before a charge.

The Adakari Sand Mages are perhaps the most dangerous weapon at the Sand Elves' disposal. Able to manipulate the very land, shifting the sands beneath the feet of enemy armies, creating sandstorms to blind and confuse the foe, submerging ambush forces under the sand, etc, they are a weapon and military leader would be wise to use. Although the Adakari military is not usually capable of going toe to toe with the heavier, larger armies of the other factions, in their homelands they are a terrible foe to face, and an even worse one to underestimate. The Sand Mages are used to their full potential to deny an enemy their strengths, and to leave them dazed and confused between rapid strikes, until fear, exhaustion, and casualties force defeat. An organized army relying on formations can be denied advantage by disturbing the sand beneath them, to disrupt formations and force units into splitting apart, to make easier targets for Adakari attack. In the end, the Sand Mages are with no doubt the secret weapon that keeps the Sand Elves free.

Background: The Stieling family were once a noble bloodline that aided in overseeing the slave colonies of the east, along with other noble families just like their own. Time went on and the very eastern province of Draygaia soon grew restless as the empire began to lose its far-stretched influence and local autonomy increased. While some of the other colonies became more difficult to subdue, Draygaia, the largest by far, was mysteriously quiet. All was eventually revealed when the Drakkon Revolt suddenly emerged unexpectedly, aided greatly by the very prison wardens that watched the slaves - the Stieling family. Apparently sympathisers to the lesser races, they organised the rebellion of the Drakkons, spearheaded by Charles’ forefathers and a great Drakkon leader. As more slave colonies fell under Drakkon control, the Stieling family grew more in favour with the other races while losing favour with the now increasingly weakened empire. Generations passed and the Stieling family continue to manage and now serve the Drakkon people in equal Diarchy. Charles is the current people-elected dual ruler of the Divine Drakkonium, chosen from all the potential Male heirs after the previous ruler’s death.
Reputation: Inheriting leadership from his father, Charles is the beacon of prosperity that shines on the Drakkonium and ensures good health and happiness amongst his people. Known to be a promising heir in the Stieling family, the people respect Charles for his kind, inspiring rule - even despite his race.
Personality: Charles is charming, intelligent and cunning. The epitome of human craftiness, he knows how to curry influence, appear appealing in the public’s eye and organise a barony with effective bureaucracy. Background: Dreyfus began life living in the scarcely ruled north-eastern frontiers of the empire. Once his land was colonised, his tribe and fellow tribes became under threat of slavery and genocide due to the endeavours of man. After decades of hiding and fighting, Dreyfus and his tribe was eventually captured and enslaved in Draygaia for many more decades to come. Hard, gruelling work and bloody pit fights for entertainment were all that greeted him and not many survived long in such a place. But Dreyfus survived and soon grew to be the greatest fighter of his particular slave colony. Garnering the respect of the humans and his fellow beastmen, Dreyfus organised a rebellion with the aid of their previous overseers - the Stieling noble family, and staged the great Draygaian Revolt. Many species were freed from slavery that day in Draygaia and its surrounding provinces. After a few years of revolt, the empire eventually conceded to grant the revolters the lost territory so as to make the headache go away. It was too far East, the empire had grown too weak to deal with it quickly and the mountainous land simply was not worth the soldiers they kept throwing at it. Dreyfus was hailed as a hero to his people and put in charge of all military actions and powers, to work in conjunction with the humans that helped free them. He remains the unchanged leader of Oprørsmure to this day and hasn’t never lost a challenge against his position to this day.
Reputation: One of the greatest warriors the Divine Drakkonium, perhaps even the empire itself, has ever seen. His combat prowess has been told in tale across the continent, it is even fabled that he once took on a small Olvian army singlehandedly during the Drakkon Revolt, and his military leadership has won him many victories thus far. Hailed as the “Hero of Drakkons”, Dreyfus goes on to inspire many new generations of warriors as both a role model and champion to his people. While cunning in his own right, many have claimed that his word can be trusted above all else due to his warrior’s code.
Personality: Quiet yet intense, Dreyfus is definitely one that believes in actions over words. He enforces that military code and customs be honoured in his presence and enjoys the respect it garners him. A warrior at heart, Dreyfus does love to fight but still regrets killing his own people for any reason, even more so if they are Drakkons. Not one to shy away from conflict, he seems to know no fear and holds his own in tense situation with a level head. Ever the champion his people believe him to be, he hates losing, loves good fights, is deeply religious and truly sticks to his word in all his years of leadership.

Background:
A noble by birth, Richter was not supposed to end up taking up the mantle of Lord Mammon after his father's passing as the will dictated that his first son, Micheal, shall be the next in line. Seeing his life not being set in stone, Richter decided to join the Red Sashes for a life of adventure and battle. Sadly even the best life has to come to an end, following the apparent assassination of his brother, his father's will changed and he ended up inheriting the title after his passing.
Reputation:
A rather polarizing leader, his new policies shook the Pluton Noble Council when he first came to power but he managed to rein them all in after the positive changes that came with said policies became apparent. To the populous, he's seen as stern but fair leader who knew what it was like to work on the ground level compared to the most of the other nobles, even being a folk hero of sorts after quelling a bandit attack on a border town.

A charismatic man with a rather harsh stare. Richter has been described as being a wizard with words with the confidence to back it up no matter how mad it may seem. Being a former mercenary, he knows the importance of keeping his word and has adapted it to his style of governing. Any promises or deals he has made will be followed through if allowed by the Senate or even without their support if he so pleases. That being said, he does have a bit of a temper problem and it has lead to bad decisions in the past.

And when lots of merchant vessels stop over, more shops and other businesses start to pop up. The port soon became a city and with the addition of the smithy district, became a sort of capital for the Union.

History: Boreas was initially set up as a temporary port during the initial exploration of Cocytus. Following the discovery of ore and easily farmed ice flows, the port was reinforced and a small town soon blossomed into life. Before long, someone had the bright idea to make a labour camp for those found guilty of crimes such as fraud and murder, putting the inmates to work on the deathly cold mines or other forms of hard labour in the island's frigid conditions. In addition to the Labour Camp, Boreas is also home to the former Headquarters of the Red Sash mercenaries before it was shifted to the mainland.

Pluton Footsoldiers
Typically lightly armoured men trained just enough to be versatile without being too specialized in a 1 form of combat. This mixed training allows the standard Pluton soldier to fulfill any of the 3 roles taken up by them. The 3 types of Plutonian footsoldiers are Skirmishers, Shocktroopers, and Frontliners.
Skirmishers are lightly armoured troopers armed with bucklers and shields. Their purpose is to act as a knife, cutting into enemy openings and widening it for other troops.
Shocktroopers are a more anti-armour type of Skirmisher, armed with a mace, warhammer, or war pike and a larger shield, usually a heater shield or a targe. Given the situation, they might be armed with grenades but those are rare and tended to fail or even endanger the unit.
The last variant, the Frontliners, are a little heavier armoured but are still rather mobile soldiers meant to work in formation. Armed with tower shields and polearms, usually spears, they serve as sort of mobile wall to protect the ranged units' firing lines or to deter cavalry.

Pluton Ranged Units
Pluton, being an industrial and merchant nation priding itself on weapons manufacturing and sale, are known for their high quality matchlocks. In addition to their matchlocks, they were also produced bows and crossbows.
Musketeers are highly disciplined and well trained in the firing and loading of matchlocks. The squads are trained to work like clockwork, synchronizing their firing with each other and other supporting squads in order to maximize their potential effect on enemy lines. A standard Plutonian musketeer can fire, reload, and then fire another shot in about 30 seconds. Musketeers can be further differentiated as either a Siege Musketeer, wearing iron breastplates and carrying pavises, and Field Musketeers, wearing lighter gear and forgoing the pavise.
Bowmen are as what they are called, simply men armed with bows. With the advent of gunpowder, the amount of bowmen have fallen in favour of the much more spectacular matchlock musket but they still find use in their flexibility and speed compared to Musketeers. Majority of Plutonian bowmen are crossbowmen, armed with crossbows and serving as mobile support for Skirmishers and Shocktroopers. On the other hand, Longbowmen are rarely seen in battle and the only two remaining longbow archer platoons are stationed in the capitol as part of the Council Guard.

A young boy was furiously breathing as he limped across the woods, blood dripping from his right arm and leg.. He was attacked by a large wolf while he was practicing his swordsmanship. He managed to kill the wolf but he was seriously injured. As he traversed through the unfamiliar terrain, his uninjured foot tripped on a rock and he fell down. As he was still in his youth, he was filled with the desire to live. His eyes were filled with stubbornness and unwillingness to give up, but unfortunately, he was in the middle of nowhere with no one to give him aid. He was about to close his eyes when he heard a faint voice.

[Come.]

He opened his eyes and looked for the voice, but there was nobody there. Just as he was about to dismiss it as something that dying people hear, he heard it again. A voice that doesn't sound like a man or woman.

[Come]

He instinctively looked at a certain direction. The voice didn't come from that direction but he got the feeling that there is something waiting for him there. With the power of his will, he managed to stand back up and walked towards that direction. He has already lost so much blood, but he still continued to walk.

A cave came into view and he entered it without hesitation. He expected it to be dark, but contrary to his expectation, it wasn't. He saw plants that glowed as it filled the cave with life. But he knew this wasn't the final destination. He continued to walk and entered a cavern. The sight which he saw made his heart beat faster. There was a large white tree in the middle and it gave out an aura full of vitality and gentleness, like a mother to her baby.

"Is this where you led me? Although a tree won't help me live, I will still thank you for not letting me die in the wilderness and letting this beautiful place as my final resting place." He approached the tree. The boy leaned his back into its trunk and sat down. He was young and had potential to do more things, but his life was gonna end here. He smiled as his eyes closed.

The boy woke up from his dream. He slowly opened his eyes and noticed that he was still in the same place. But more importantly, he was still alive. His clothes were clean, fully intact and no blood was visible. He looked at where he was wounded and noticed that the injury wasn't there anymore. As if nothing happened in the first place.

He stood up and felt that something that wasn't there before was within him. It flowed to every inch of his body and filled him with energy. He looked at his palm and noticed that it glowed with faint white. He channeled the new found energy within his palm and it glowed even brighter and then it suddenly dimmed and finally disappeared. He tried to do it again but failed to direct the energy into his palm.

His heart was throbbing faster. Was this the so-called magic power that the village chief used to mention to us? Legendary mages that command the elements. Creating fire out of nothing, summoning the wind, bending the earth, and controlling the water. His eyes was filled with excitement and he looked at the tree. He was filled with gratitude and then he kowtowed three times.

One kowtow for saving his life.

One kowtow for giving him a life mission.

And one final kowtow for giving him the ability to carry out the mission.

The White Tree swayed as if acknowledging his actions.

The name of the boy was Kiel. He gave himself the surname White as a sign of gratitude to the tree and remembrance for his mission. He journeyed all around the continent helping the needy and awing the people with his powers. He slowly gathered power, influence, and followers. He came back to the location of the tree and erected a White Palace around it. He also created the White Palace faction dedicated to teaching people White Arts and helping others. He established the religion of the White Deity with the White Tree as its manifestation in the mortal realm. He wasn't able to openly develop the religion due to the presence of the Imperial Cult. Only a few select people were privy to the existence of it.

Kiel knew that the Imperial Cult was not benevolent to its people and thus wanted to eliminate it. But unfortunately, the White Palace didn't have enough strength to shake the steady foundation of the Cult and his life was nearing its end. He passed everything to his descendant who will carry out his mission in his stead.

Kiel stood before the White Tree as his fires of life was about to be extinguished. He closed his eyes and his body turned into particles which then flew towards the tree. His second life was given by the tree and thus he shall return to it in the end. A few second later, a face formed in the trunk of the tree. The face of Kiel White, the Progenitor of White Palace.

History: The native tribes have existed in the area for as many hundreds, if not thousands of years. Yet they have stagnated and remained at a very primitive state in terms of society and technology. However, this also means they have a very simple existence and the flow of life is very rarely disturbed. The various tribes very rarely war, and if they do its never for very long. Their society heavily revolves around certain aspects of necromancy. While raising the dead is unheard of, binding the spirits of ones ancestors to a mask is not. These masks are often worn by chieftains and shamans, but more simple ones shared between families do exist, but are not usually as old as the shamans/chieftains own mask.

This is a fully consensual action, and is often done to preserve the tribes history and wisdom. While wearing a spirit mask one can see and communicate with the spirits bound within, who can talk and offer knowledge or advice. It was this use of necromancy that invoked the ire of the Olvani Empire. Attempts to convert the tribes, or change their way of thinking failed, as the idea of giving up their traditions did not sit right with them. Armed conflict did prove effective, but it was evident that the tribes where more than willing to die for their traditions, and their use of necromantic golems and berserk warriors made them more dangerous.

This lead to the tribes being turned into a reserve, and given that they showed no want to expand, being locked to their territory was something they where more than happy to live with. While they do not attack outsiders, they aren't too happy to host them either. However, outsiders still find themselves venturing through the savage lands, mainly smugglers looking to avoid the looming eyes of the law from nearby nations. However, this is a dangerous plan, many groups of dead smugglers have been mutilated and half eaten, some tribes even stringing the bodies up in the tree's. A grizzly warning.
Given that the tribes are nomadic, there are very few set locations, as any sort of settlements are usually temporary.

History: The outpost was set up after the tribals where granted the status of reserve. Truth be told, its become known as one of the most, if not the most boring outpost to be stationed at. Given that the tribals tend to avoid the outpost, and the inhabitants of the outpost rarely leave, communication is rare. However, some meetings between the tribals and outsiders (Or "outmen") have taken place. Usually during hunting trips or when a tribe is on the move.
Military:

Army: The tribes have very little in terms of actual military formation. "Warriors" Tend to be hunters or other members of the tribe who have taken up arms to fight. While most tribals do not have formal training of any sort, exercise and wrestling are commonly enjoyed pastimes, usually encouraged from a young age. When the tribes wage war they do so with knives, clubs, spears, axes, bows and slings. It should also be noted that they will often carry multiple weapons with them to war, like a sling or some extra spears.

Ferocity - The tribes believe in fighting like the animals they share the earth with. Tribals fight with every ounce of energy they have, or tooth and nail if they must.
Knowledge of the land - When it comes to defense of the land, the tribesmen know the area better than any outsider. Thus, they know the best routes to escape, infiltrate and outmaneuver.
The land is a weapon - Given that the tribals weapons and much of their supplies are made directly from the land around them, it makes them very sustainable.

Weaknesses [3+]:
No set training - The tribals have no proper method of training their warriors. Yes, some understand combat better than others. Like when to best tense ones arm during a swing. Still, to most warriors it comes down to raw strength or aim.
Low tech - The tribals posses no metals, thus meaning no sufficient armor or weapons to properly counter "Modern" armor.
No siege engines - They have no method of attacking large castles or settlements, as they have never needed them.

Trivia: The tribals hold their spirit masks in such high regard that during any battles, they will try to avoid damaging their enemies masks. However, due to the lack of armor, not aiming for the head is rarely a problem.

Name: Vyseris Narizh Phansos Yrutho Alpheros II (Vyseris The Conqueror)
Age: Fourty three

Background: Vyseris was the oldest of 3 children and first in line to be the heir, though often disregarded the idea as an annoyance in his early life. He was present at most meetings of the councils, often despite his objections. As Vyseris began growing older he started to gather the interest in ruling his father had tried to push into him for years, and began being taught by nobles and the archmagister on how to rule a realm, dress properly, and on how to address his peers. At the age of 22 his father, Aegon III passed on of disease and Vyseris was crowned the new King of the Anzahx. In the following years he began a series of large scale reforms that saw the prosperity of the realm double. Vyseris also earned his title of "The Conqueror" due to his impressive and successful military campaigns, which saw the realm nearly double in size and also saw the first steps at civilizing the vastly unexplored jungle provinces. The King was out on one of said campaigns in the jungle when the Summit Disaster as it became called in the kingdom occurred, causing to the mostly abandonment of the conflict and full retreat back to the heartland. For the next years Vyseris focused on re establishing order and discipline within the kingdom, seeing as the massive earthquake had also brought large floods that destroyed entire villages and damaged other important regions like the land bridges or canals. Though yet again disaster struck as when the realm was on the road to be back to its previous strength before the incident news of the Emperors death reached Pyrea. This news shook Vyseris and he quickly mobilized his forces and dispersed them across the realm to keep the borders safe from raiders, and to keep the internal regions from possibly entering chaos. After all that has happened and the years without a real emperor to ensure control Vyseris has begun to doubt if the Empire will survive and has begun slowly prioritizing the strength of the Anzahx instead.
Reputation: Vyseris is seen as a fair and strong ruler by most of the realm, though the council is slightly concerned about his unwillingness to back down especially in situations that could cause quite a disaster. The soldiers especially love him as hes personally led them to battle in multiple campaigns and rarely been defeated.
Personality: Quite a commanding and charismatic person, wise from his military campaigns though also quite well versed in scholarly topics due to his studies with the archmagister when he was younger. Vyseris is also quite just and treats all those tried with crimes equally, no matter of standing, though in the past it has nearly gotten him assassinated.

Pyrea is the largest and most powerful city in the entire Anzahx Kingdom, holding most of the navy, having the largest shipyards, being the crossroad between the east and west, and being one of the most fortified cities in the region. Originally founded hundreds of years ago as a small fortress on the crossroads between the East and West Pyrea has become a massive city and the pride of the Anzahx. Due to its important location people began venturing eastward and soon the city expanded and became a hub for people travelling toward the east via the southern routes. Once the canals were dug the population and prosperity boomed even more than ever expected, being situated in the heart of the largest and most prosperous canals. With the recent chaos across the region Pyrea saw yet another boom, this time of refugees wanting to escape troubles from other regions of the continent.

Fort Parhir is one of the oldest and most important fortresses across the kingdoms land. Founded on the shores of Zivya lake and the eastern border of the Anzahx the fort has long been a bulwark against any invading forces. Being situated in a strategic location also led to it being one of the primary entry points into the Kingdom, and its population has increased enough that some would call it more a city than a mere fortress anymore. The fort soon realized the importance of its location on the lake and began large scale exports of safe drinking water across the kingdom and region, resulting in a very handsome profit due to the lack of safe water in other regions. The fortress itself also is where the Zivya lake fleet is based from and is the only settlement currently capable of building large scale ships within the lake.

Fort Xharoz has long been one of the most important holdings of the Anzahx. The old fort has served as one of the only truly settled places of the jungle provinces and serves as an important stop for those coming eastward or venturing westward. The community has grown massively in recent years with the start of true settlement and mapping of the jungle provinces, and being the sole maintainer of the road that goes throughout the jungle. Being surrounded by masses of natural resources has also led the fortress to become one of the highest producers of lumber in all of the Anzahx Kingdom.

Being the only other major fortress on the Zivya lake Fort Dvarohx has had a quite important job. The fort was built near the Zivya lake and eastern border of the kingdom on the southern side of the country. It was built to show not only imperial might but imperial riches as well, being seen as by far the most luxurious looking fortress of any in Anzahx besides maybe Fort Rhostova in the capital. The fortresses key location allowed it to not only export safe water in large amounts like Parhir but to also become the largest mining operation in the southern half of the nation. The fort also serves as a primary staging point for any Anzahx army movements into foreign lands.

History:
Zastarhov Fort is the largest and most heavily defended fortress in the entire Anzahx Kingdom. The fortress was built as a symbol of Imperial power and might and became a very important stronghold against any threats from the seas southward or even the mainland eastward. After a while the fortress was abandoned and remained that way for a while, before eventually being resettled by Anzahx civilians and military forces. While there isnt too much natural resources on the island the fortress is on there is a thriving community and large garrison, being home to the southern fleet of the Anzahx Navy. Some parts of the fortress lie in ruin still due to lack of maintenance or repair from when the island was abandoned but work is continued on restoring the fortress to its full glory.

Being at such a important strategic location the Anzahx have a relatively large and quite well equipped navy specializing in fending off pirates but also invading naval powers. The Navy and forts on the islands and coasts work together often to put up a quite well made defensive layer but the navy does more of the action as they sail around Anzahx waters and further out when need be. The total number of people within the Anzahx Navy is 18,248 men(10,000 naval infantry, 8,248 sailors).

The Galleons are the most powerful naval units the Anzahx has to offer, and by far the most expensive to contstruct. Being the flagships and heaviest hitters the two ships are prized as the jewel of the Anzahx Navy, some speficiations include its armamanet consisting of 64 guns, being triple masted, and holding a crew of 370 each,able to hold up to 650 people total(740-1,300 total).

10 x Frigates:

The frigates the next most powerful and standard heavy hitters of the Anzahx Navy. Being much cheaper than the galleons the kingdom has produced a higher number of these ships, though they can still take on nearly any ship in the region. The frigates are built to reach higher speeds than the galleons in order to reach the battle quicker and out maneuver enemy ships. Some specifications include its armament of 48 guns, is triple masted, has a crew of 224 each(4,032 total).

The War Galleys of the Anzahx Navy are fast and nimble, generally being assigned more to scouting and patrol type roles than full combat.
