Posting rules

All basic rules (no godmodding, bunnying, trolling etc.) go on top of the law of common sense. Do not be annoying or disrupt the story. Furthermore we have the following rules regarding form:

- No fancy coding, all you are allowed is to change your text in between quotes a <span style="color:#0000ff;">"personalised colour"</span>

- Posts have to be at least one paragraph long, but you are encouraged to make them longer for certain scenes.

- The five post rule: you and another member are not allowed to make more than 5 posts between the two of you consequently. Example: Elven - Dragon - Elven - Dragon - Elven | Stop | SSgt -> Elven & Dragon can continue again for five more.

IRP Rules

The way we will progress through this RP is as follows: being part of a rebellion, we will take on missions to complete. These will be posted in the 'Updates' tab when the time is there. There are four values involved in these missions:

  • Attained Status, which determines our rank in the rebellion, and thus what materials and weapons we can buy

  • Bounty/money, this (obviously) determines what we can buy

  • Danger, this value determines the chance for each individual character to get hurt on a mission

  • Deadliness, this determines that if a character gets hurt, what the chance is of light, moderate, mortal or deadly wounds

Below an example of danger in combination with deadliness:

- We take a mission with a 30/100 danger rate. This means that I will roll a dice from 1-10 for every character separately. If it is 1 2 or 3 the character will get hurt.

- Then the deadliness comes into play. A deadliness of 70-20-10-0 means that if the dice ends on 1 - 7 the wound will be light, if it is 8-9 it will be moderate, and if it hits 10 it will be mortal.

Pay will obviously increase with higher danger values, and more pay means more upgrades faster. More upgrades also includes weapons and gear, decreasing the danger values. It is up to you which mission you pick and which risks you take. There is one mechanic I will put in to keep the story going though: you can gain a semi or full immunity for missions depending on how good you play. Some characters need this because them dying would disrupt the plot, and I'd rather not have the dice rule the whole story. For now all characters that were originally there are semi-immune, but danger rates will be lowered for the first few missions to allow the new crew to settle in and to see who fits in best. This system works COMPLETELY ANONYMOUS. Only you can see your character's dice rolls before we started a mission, so none else knows beforehand who gets hurt where and how. I trust you respect the anonymity, because if you do not this is an automatic death for your character the next mission.

Lastly a bit more detail on the severity of wounds:

Light: a few bandages will treat this on the field. It might be a bit uncomfortable and leave a scar.

Moderate: medical treatment is required, but not immediately. If immediate first aid is given one can usually get back to the ship fine. However, it would be harder to survive such a wound over time, so you can't run around with it for days. You will need to get a doctor to check it out.

Mortal: you can survive this if you get your ass hauled to medical ASAP. A mortal wound means the whole crew has to focus on getting that person treatment, and results in the character being out of combat shape for quite a while, at the very least two weeks. Note that this will delay the amount of missions you can do; higher risk also means more mortality, and thus that you will lay still longer if it happens. Mortal wounds <em>can </em>kill if I don't think they are taken seriously enough.

Death: welp, u ded, is permanent too. But you will know beforehand and can work on a new character/CS in the time it takes for your character to die. Death won't happen often, but when it happens it will have a large impact. Everyone gets a funeral.

That's everything for now on the mechanics/rules of the RP. It will point itself out once we start playing, it sounds more complicated than it is.
