Roleplay Type(s)
Hi! I might be doing this all wrong, I've never used this site before, but here we go!

Welcome to Amaris's Academy for Magical Misfits, a school for the more... troubled students of the world. Think Hogwarts but in a semi-modern D&D style world, and most of the students are delinquents. I'll explain all that in the lore section.

I'm looking for 1-2 people, (maybe 3 if I can figure out how to make that work, it's been a LONG time since I've done a group roleplay,) for a hopefully long-term roleplay, each with a few characters to hopefully make the school feel a little more lively.

Give me a second to figure out how this website works before responding, I gotta get my URLs sorted. Can't wait to see you!

The Academy
The first day of school.

One could feel three things buzzing in the warm early September air of that day. The first was the nervous excitement that always came on a day like this. Students bustling about outside the closed gates of the school while they double-checked their bags and their room assignments, talking about the classes they hoped to take or how much they would miss home. However, to many, the Academy for Magical Misfits was closer to home than anything else. Bright-eyed first years looked around campus with awe and
curiosity, some staring up at the towers of the school, others' attention were caught by the beast pens peeking out from behind the large dark stone building, others had their eyes set on the forest and wondered just how far it would go.

The second was dread. The unmistakable feeling that hung above everyone like a poisonous fog- was this year going to turn out like the last one? The Incident- as many students had begun to call a certain event that happened the previous year- had nearly gotten them all killed, and had succeeded in shutting down the school a week and a half before graduation. There were a lot of angry fifth-years last year, upset that they never got a proper ceremony after all the hard work they put in to making it through. But as angry as they had been, it paled in comparison to the fear that had settled over campus and everyone gathering there. Nobody dared say it out loud, but the questions remained on everyone's mind: Was Ronen still out there? Were they safe this year? Had they ever been safe at all?

The third thing that one could feel deeper than any of the other commotion was magic. It was a difficult feeling for anyone, even the most controlled and in-tune mage, to describe exactly what magic felt like, but there was certainly a feeling, and it rippled through the entire forest. Magic was staring up at the sky on a clear night for the first time and seeing just how far the universe stretched, magic was feeling compelled to clap or dance along to the words of a musician, magic was stepping into an unexplored cave and hearing the water flowing through the veins of Earth, magic was touching something in a dream and sensing the echoes of a sensation that wasn't really there. Magic was potential and power, development and destruction, silence and sound. And all of campus was alive with it.

Joy

It had become a tradition since Joy's first year at the Academy to grow something before she took foot or flutter into the school. She was pleased to see that the gates were still closed and the professors were still welcoming and managing the herd of students that had gotten there already. She'd been expecting that, of course, perfectly punctual as always. She set down her bag and bent down to the grass, holding her hands in front of her as if cradling something that had yet to appear. The swirl designs on her wings began to glow as she performed her spell, and she felt a tingling in her hands and fingertips that she'd only be able to call what Summer felt like. Not a second later, a little green vine sprouted from the soil, curling around itself before the small bud at the end burst open to reveal a pretty little flower.

There. That would be her mark on the school this year, until she proved her name was worthy to be carved into one of the bricks like her brother's was. She gingerly touched one of the petals as she whispered an improvised enchantment.

"As long I grow, so will you."

She wasn't sure if it had worked. There wouldn't be any way to tell until the end of the year. But with that out of the way, there were more important social and academic things to attend to. She stood back up, flipped her blonde hair back, adjusted her glasses, picked up her bags, and fluttered over to the crowd of students.

Geode

Among that crowd was not a certain boy. He much preferred the trees to people, thank you very much. He just enjoyed being out in nature while it was still warm and green and lush, that was it, it was going to be cold in a month or two anyways, he might as well enjoy it while it lasted.

It certainly wasn't because even looking at that many people made his heart race and his head start to spin. It also certainly wasn't because his brain had already decided that Ronen was not gone at all and that this year would really be the one that got him. It also MOST certainly wasn't because his sister was attending as a first-year at only eleven years old instead of the usual thirteen and this was a school full of potentially very dangerous criminals. No, no, no. He was just enjoying nature, taking long and shaky breaths to ease his trembling hands, and tapping his foot.

He glanced over to check on his sister. His own feelings aside, she was probably nervous too, and she was his responsibility after all, if she was scared or homesick it was his job to comfort her-

She was gone.

Fern

Squished against the metal of the gates of the school was a little girl with twin braids that bounced whenever she did, and boy did she bounce. She just couldn't contain her excitement. A real school, with real people, just like her! It was something out of a fairytale, or maybe a daydream. If these gates weren't in the way, she could have run right onto the main area and sprinted up the stairs to the door.

She'd heard legends of the Great Hall with its flying plates that would clear themselves after students finished eating, and the Astrological Divination
classroom that she swore she could see in its tower that peeked over the rest of the school, or the seemingly infinite library that held more books then she could hope to read in a lifetime. She had to see it, she had to.

Soren - Outside the School Gates

He didn’t want to be here. That was obvious by the way he stood there, arms crossed like a pouting child and a dark expression on his face. Soren was clearly unhappy about the whole situation, and to him, he had every right to be. They’d found him again. He wouldn’t have shown up if he hadn’t been forced to, and only now stood still and quiet because he’d gotten it into his head that currently there were people only feet away that he was sure could and would kill him on the spot. He was petrified to say the least, despite the look on his face that displayed rage rather than fear.

He was certain he’d evaded the guards this year. He thought he’d evaded everyone, he was usually so good at hiding from people. But just like clockwork they were suddenly there, hovering over the horizon like a coming storm and as much as he tried to flee, fight, and even when he attempted himself turned into the authorities just to avoid this place, here he was. It was embarrassing and miserable. Not to mention he spent a sickening amount of time in some prison before they finally got around to dragging him back.

At least he was currently being left alone. Soren had no intention to run now, he wasn’t about to bring attention to himself with so many more people around, and it wasn’t worth the risk. As much as he told himself he hated that dreaded building, there was something a little bit safer about it. At least he knew what could be coming after him. He knew hiding places, safe spaces, and rooms to never enter. Even though that feeling that someone was watching him never really went away, it was worse when he’d been running and he knew that someone was after him. Soren glanced quickly over his shoulder. This place was still messed up, he couldn’t be convinced otherwise.

Jordan - Outside the School Gates - @shellsharbor(Joy)

Excited wasn’t a big enough word for Jordan. She rocked back and forth on her heels, her mismatched eyes gazing brightly at everyone and everything. She was listening to the excited chatter, the worried muttering, and the general buzz of everything. She stood in the midst of the crowd, taking it all in with her arms wrapped around herself. She caught a few interesting clips of conversation, but her attention moved on before anything became too intriguing.

She was searching for a few things. Or rather, a few people. Someone in particular. She was certain this person would be here soon, if not already here, and her eyes lifted upwards to catch a familiar fluttering shape. Jordan navigated her way to the edge of the crowd, accidently bumping against some boy who gave her a deadly ice-cold stare. She ducked away and hurried on, weaving through the students until she found herself where she wanted to be.

"Joy!" She called, lifting her voice above the bustle. "Joy! Hi! Hello! What's up? How've you been?"

Keefe - Outside the School Gates

It was a beautiful day. For Keefe. He was back at school and he couldn't be happier. He'd already gotten himself some students who were listening to his chatter, and he was chattering, a lot. He was like a glowing beacon, pulling in some of the wider-eyed students as he improvised a story about what he spent all break doing. His story had started with the truth - he spent some time fishing - but blew wildly out of proportion into a tale about a small shark that tried to steal his fish right from his hands before deciding to take a bite out of his hand in stead. To which, he produced a show of his hand with a little optical illusion trick to make it look like he really had lost a finger. However, he quickly revealed it only was a trick, to some of the younger student's amusement.

He was more focused on gazing around, looking for his friend, however. He stood tall, his little white wings flip-flapping as he searched for a familiar face. He kept talking all the while, only too good at appearing like an easy going guy, holding the attention of a few even while his own attention was elsewhere. After his shark story, he moved on to chattering about the upcoming year and all that it would hold, from the classes to the clubs. Keefe was a guy who could never be sad or disappointed to be here. Well... except for when... but he wasn't going to worry or think about it! It was a great day and there was no reason to worry or to question or to wonder or to think otherwise!

George - Right Beside the School Gates - @shellsharbor(Fern)

Being a little less than enthused, George was at least interested in what this year would bring. His first year was quite interesting and he'd found it to be both fulfilling and somewhat frightening. He felt accomplished, though he had no right to be. He'd been at this academy for a year now, and yet was no further along in his journey. He was at the start, and had apparently not even take a single step. He wasn't worried about his relative failure, and instead was boldly proclaiming to anyone who'd listen that he was a new person now and would be dominating every single class he was being forced to retake. Which was every single class.

George was hidden in the shadows of the students around him, though he'd very carefully ensured he had enough sunscreen to last himself the day before he dared make an appearance below the sun. He pushed himself to the front of the crowd, ducking under arms and sliding between groups. He kept looking around for people he recognized, and though he caught a glimpse of someone he knew from the year before, George was careful to keep clear. He was looking for someone he recognized and who wasn't likely to have a spider somewhere nearby. He got himself pressed all the way up to the gate with no luck. However, just as he was going to sigh and give up, and just wait for the official start of the school, he turned his head and caught sight of someone.

No, she wasn't someone he knew per say, but he still decided to go over and talk to her. She looked about his age, a young faun bouncing with excitement. He'd also told made the claim that he would make friends who were his age, not just the older guys he used to hang out with. It was also part of this 'new me' thing. Well, this seemed like the perfect place to start.

"Hiya, are you new here?" He slid up beside the faun girl, offering her a smile. "I'm George. Or well, that's not my full name, but just call me George. Who're you?"

    – Outside the School Gates

    1000031378.png

The Academy for Magical Misfits loomed ahead, its presence much more striking than initially expected. Berry hovered a few feet off the ground in his tiny fairy form, his translucent green wings catching the sunlight in delicate, iridescent patterns. Despite the impressive view, he felt a flutter of nerves in his stomach, far less elegant than the ones in his wings.

“Wow,” he murmured to himself, glancing around. This was nothing like the peaceful seclusion of the Verdant Glades. Here, the air buzzed not just with the energy of so many magical beings in one place but with something deeper—magic itself, thrumming like a heartbeat. It was intoxicating and a little overwhelming.

Berry smoothed the front of his pine-green suit, which he’d chosen carefully for the occasion. The soft, fuzzy white trim along the collar gave it a cozy, whimsical touch. It wasn’t flashy like some of the outfits he’d seen other fairies wear back home, but he felt it struck the right balance for making a good first impression.

With a small shimmer of magic, Berry shifted into his human-sized form. He didn’t want to risk being overlooked or stepped on in the crowd. At this size, he stood just over five feet tall, still on the smaller side compared to many of the students, but he held himself as tall as he could manage.

He glanced around, his green eyes wide as he took in the scene. To his left, a faun girl with bouncing twin braids was practically glued to the gates, her excitement radiating off her in waves. Nearby, a pale boy was introducing himself to her. They seemed friendly enough, though Berry could sense a bit of awkwardness in their exchange.

He briefly toyed with the idea of casting a small wind spell to ease his nerves. A subtle breeze could add a touch of drama to his entrance, make him seem confident and capable. But the thought of drawing unnecessary attention made his cheeks flush. His sister had warned him about first impressions, and he didn’t want to risk coming off as a showoff—or worse, accidentally causing a mess.

You don’t need magic to make friends, he reminded himself. Just be yourself.

Taking a deep breath, he squared his shoulders and walked toward the pair. His wings, now tucked neatly against his back, quivered slightly, betraying his nervous excitement.

“Hi there!” he said, his voice warm and a little higher-pitched than he’d intended. He cleared his throat quickly and continued, “Sorry to interrupt—I couldn’t help but notice how excited you are.” He directed his words to the faun girl, her enthusiasm a mirror of his own, but he also made sure to offer the pale boy a friendly smile since he was free to answer as well.

“I’m Berrywyn,” he said, extending a hand to either of them—perhaps a little too eagerly—but his grin was genuine. “Most people just call me Berry. It’s nice to meet you both! Are you first-years too?”

This was what he’d come here for—to meet people, to learn, and to grow. And in that moment, the chatter of the crowd and the towering gates faded into the background. All that mattered was the beginning of something new.

~Outside The School Gate~

CJ walked into the school, feeling amazed by the site. She had come, on many occasions, dropping her brother and sister at the school with her parents but it was finally her turn. She smiled at the feeling she had in her stomach. It was more or less like a feeling of anxiety and happiness of wanting to come here.

"Can't wait to see what happens here!" She said to herself with a small grin before walking towards the school gates. She needed to find Devan, her childhood best friend, but as she waited, maybe she can make new friends. She grins at the thought while entering the school gates to find friends.

She looked around the Academy while walking over to a crowd of people, maybe three, she thinks while looking at the crowd, she shrugs at the thought but still walked towards.

CJ was the kind of person that would be usually be crowded with a lot of people, since she is popular with her nice-ness and stuff but if you feel uncomfortable around a lot of people, she would happily move away from her friends and talk to you alone, like the special person you are.

"Hi! Im Cassandra Jones, but you can call me CJ!" She said in a normal voice looking at the three with a smile, "Are you guys excited, too?" Se said smiling.

『 TAGS 』None.
It was the first day of school for Atlas. Or.. any 'real' school for that matter, having spent most of his time getting knowledge from books, found items, or family teachings at his "Home-school" the thought of leaving his small home to be with people he didn't know was jarring. The potential of running into criminals, or crazies being one of his biggest concerns. Heck he wasn't even sure what to do, what to wear, and "Where is my invitation?!" He chirped, rummaging through his cramped room. He had forgotten where he had put that dumb piece of paper. Or.. he lost it. his room wasn't the most spacious. Being a bit of a nerd, he had books, rings, buttons, teacups, rocks, all sorts of things stacked on top of each other "neatly" so it was easy to lose things.

Eventually he found it and sighed in relief, putting it on the ledge of his windowsill to continue getting ready. he contemplated as he did so. "Should I wear a hat..?" He asked aloud. "No.. if my first impression is that I don't have extra eyes then it'll be shocking when people do see them." He glanced down at a tattered deerstalkers hat he had found and put it on, before tossing it off. "Hooh.. , am I thinking too much about this? it has misfits in the name for a reason? albeit a little rude but still telling, no?" He shook his head, and sighed. He was usually wearing a hood when he was out in public, dressing in normal-wear around others caused him a bit of anxiety. All well, Criticize the Critical he always says. He rechecked his bags, and made his way towards his windowsill to awkwardly complete the rune. As he began he started to think of all the different kinds of people he will see, he hasn't met many other species. He was very excited to make a friend or two. He hummed as he completed the rune, and sat there.
Suddenly he found himself opening his eyes, and being blinded with both the daylight and a wave of dizziness. he hunched over, looking at the ground beneath him. He wasn't in his room anymore that's for sure. He stood, and looked up; Squawking in distress as the sun blared in his face. "Ughn.." Atlas rubbed his face and looked around, he was standing farther away from the other students that were huddled closer by the Front gates. He looked around hugging his wings close to his back as he slowly walked closer to the crowd, though he was visibly nervous he was in pure awe, so many people, all different.

Atlas stood around a while, just looking around, and trying to listen in for any indication of what to do. Were we supposed to be standing here like this? Atlas wondered as he stopped, and stood off to the side of the gate, looking around. Some looked nervous, some looked upset, and some looked pretty excited. He smiled a little and Yawned, leaning against a pillar. His nerves were calmer, so he closed his eyes and decided he might 'rest' his eyes a little.

Mohan
School. Or, better yet, some strange form of torture involved around landfolk education. As if he cared. None of it made any sense, and the only reason he cared to attend was because he found mild intrigue in the strange workings of the place.

One of his podmates had teased him about it, some ridiculous claim of him 'going human'. While their quip had not been funny, Mohan had found some amusement in sinking his teeth into the meat of their tail and hearing them scream. Granted it had resulted in getting furiously scratched over his gills which had then delved into fighting but no one had brought it up again. The memory of the fight made him travel a finger along the scar, one of many. But it was a reminder of his pod, the family he would return to once this 'school' thing was over.

He was already eager to get this over with.

Mohan takes slow, measured steps as he moves around the crowd, nose wrinkling in mild distaste. Too many people, too many smells. He was used to life on land to some extent, but he didn't enjoy it. After all, life on land was what got him here in the first place. And, even if it boiled down to being mostly his own fault, the fact that he couldn't properly enjoy his time here was most displeasing. No eating people, that was bad. Even if said people were humans, because they were not food supposedly.

"Mhmmm." The sound is a low hum, soft in his throat as he sticks to the edge of the crowd, watching with a rather disinterested expression.

Takeo
For Takeo, school was a break and a trial in of itself. It wasn't his first year, but the nerves that thudded in his chest made him feel incredibly anxious. His stomach hurt, bad, twisting and rolling. It's impossible to tell with his carefully schooled expression - but beneath the steady facade is a wreck.

His hands clench in his pockets, searching for something that's not there. Of course its not, his mom took it. When she found the small trinket he'd brought from school with him last year, she'd immediately took it. Hoarding, hiding, lying. She'd been so mad, and he felt incredibly stressed. School would be good for him, he could keep his things without people taking them. But he'd really liked that trinket, he'd carved it out of wood himself. It had taken him hours to do, and was admittedly really janky. But it was smooth from being sanded down and calmed him. Grounded him.

Now, without it, he felt out of sorts. His mom told him it was for the best. He wasn't an animal, he was a person. A human. Nevermind the animal features, they were gone. Hidden. His ears flat and stuffed underneath his hood, and his tail shoved down one of his pants leg.

He simultaneously wanted to go home and never go home again. He was not feeling great, not at all. Takeo ends up sort of pacing, trying to work off this excess nervous energy while also trying to not bump into people.

Devan- Outside the school gates @EmilySmith(CJ)

She barely got to speak a word before a familiar pair of horns and tail grabbed her. He did it so swiftly and with enough strength that it nearly knocked her off her feet and successfully pulled her away from the other group of students. If he hadn't been laughing the whole time, it would have looked like a kidnapping.

Devan Croft, half-infernal, full goofball. He was grinning like a maniac by the time he set her down. "CJ! It's been too long! How ya been?! Come with me, Keefe's telling a story and it's gotta be good. We'll catch up while we walk."

He slung an arm over her shoulder and began leading her towards Keefe.

Joy- Outside the school gates @Northe(Jordan)

"Jordan!" She fluttered over to her, beaming. "I've been good! I spent all of last week coming up with a study schedule, this one is pretty good if I do say so myself. Here, I'll show you-"

She rummaged through her bag. This was hardly out of the ordinary for Joy, always planning ahead, and always trying to maximize her success. She was a bit like a vine herself- she needed structure to grow or she would get out of control. It often came across as bossy or even neurotic, but those who knew Joy knew that despite her uptightness about structure and schedule was out of a deep love for those she held dear and a desire to see them succeed too, even if she went about it in a weird way.

She retrieved a sheet of paper and put it into Jordan's hands. A very organized list of times, a few of which were highlighted. She'd clearly put a lot of thought into this. "Of course, I had to factor in our other clubs, can't miss baking of course. I plan for perfect attendance and perfect grades in everything, no slip-ups like last year. It should still leave us a few hours of study time!"

Geode- Outside the school gates- @Minteafresh(Takeo)

He frantically looked around. She couldn't have just vanished! Maybe she had run off into the forest and some loose beast got her, or maybe some particularly dangerous student had scoped her out as their next victim, maybe she was already dead because he had turned his back too long- maybe, maybe, maybe-

He spotted her over by the gates. That was somewhat of a relief. The problem was now she was with all those people. He could feel himself being suffocated in the crowd of students just by looking at them. He took a breath to settle his nerves, and awkwardly half-jogged over, avoiding eye contact with anyone.

Which quickly proved to be a mistake. He wasn't watching where he was going and smacked right into a werepanther boy in a hood. He quickly backed away from him and stumbled over his words. "Sorry- I am so sorry- totally my fault-"

Arya- Outside the school gates

Mistake number two. He had backed up into Arya Winslow, a boy notorious at the Academy for being particularly insufferable to anyone who dared disturb him, even if by accident. He scoffed and pushed his black hair back out of his eyes, staring Geode down.

"Watch it, Prongs." Disdain dripped from his words. "I could report you for trying to sabotage me, on the first day no less. I'd be more careful if I were you."

Fern- Right beside the school gates @Northe(George) @Silent Child(Berry)

"Hi!" She spun around to face the two of them, her braids swinging even more as she did. She took Berry's hand without thinking and then crossed one arm over the other to try and shake George's hand at the same time. Her arms were noticeably dotted with white freckles and drawn-on constellations. "I'm Fern Evergrove, I'm a first-year!"

Evergrove. The last name would stand out to anyone who had attended the Academy before. This was the daughter of the Alchemy professor.

She couldn't seem to stop moving, and kept shaking Berry's hand long after she should have let go. She couldn't seem to stop talking either. "I'm gonna take Astrological Divination. What are you guys taking?"

Jordan - Outside the School Gates - clementinn clementinn (Joy) & _Yua Watanabe_ _Yua Watanabe_ (Atlas)

Jordan received the paper with a wide grin. It was funny, she didn’t ever think she would be the type of person to miss a schedule, but she sure had missed Joy’s schedules. Her grin faltered for a brief moment though. No time to relax is what it seemed like. It was classic Joy, and did bring Jordan joy in itself. It was a great reminder of the time that could be spent to fun things, and things together, like studying and baking. Jordan really was looking forward to her clubs.

“No slip-ups sounds good to me! I can’t wait for baking club and book club! And all the free time we’ll have, and your schedule looks great Joy!” She handed back the paper. “I admire your ability to organize stuff like this, but don’t you ever worry you might go a little overboard? Give yourself some wiggle room! You can’t be perfect all the time, right?”

It was hard to be too worried on such a perfect day. It was beautiful out, and there was so much excitement, and anticipation, and energy that it all bundled up inside and exploded out in a long stream of excited chattering.

“It’s such a great day for the first day of the new year, how many new kids do you think’ll be here this year? I wonder if anyone new is going to join baking club too, or even if we could get more people to join the study group? What do you think, we should go talk to some kids right now? We could try and recruit people! You know, there’s got to be tons of kids out there who will benefit from your master genius scheduling skills!”

Her gaze swooped around and she stood up on her toes looking for the nearest person to stand out. Her eyes caught on someone leaning up against a pillar, and she audibly gasped softly and tugged on Joy’s arm, directing her attention in the kid’s direction.

“Look, there! He looks like he could be great at baking! Or something. I don’t know - let’s go!” Jordan didn’t with for a reply and, still hanging onto Joy’s arm, pulled her in the direction of the Avian-looking student who’d so caught her attention. Seeing such unique looking people shouldn’t be a surprise to her, having been at a school with some admittedly terrifying individuals in appearance before, but where was she to start her approach? He was off a little ways, potentially someone who wasn’t looking to be bombarded with greetings and introductions, but Jordan didn’t hesitate a moment.

“Hello!” She greeted with a yappy sort of call. “I don’t think I’ve ever seen you before, so we’re here to say ‘hi’! So, hey! You can call me Jordan, this is my friend, Joy, she’s really great at writing schedules!” Jordan chattered with little thought about ‘oversharing’ or ‘overexcitement’. The buzz from all the students was infectious.

Jackson - Outside the School Gates - Minteafresh Minteafresh (Mohan-kinda)

He was there. Somewhere. Jackson was amidst the crowd hiding in plain sight as if just another faceless unnamed creature. He was listening to everything and storing it away into the endless files of his mind. As much as he wasn’t keen on brushing shoulders with such disgraceful beings, he was blending in, gathering information and keeping to himself. He gazed at everyone, just long enough to potentially catch their attention, but his eyes had always moved on before anyone could catch his glare.

He became fed up quickly, however, and let himself be filtered back out of the crowd. His face had twisted into mild disgust, of which he cleared into an expressionless mask as he stepped back into the clear air just beyond the crowd. He’d gotten the gist of the chatter, and was now more interested in the people who set themselves apart.

There were a couple of these people choosing to be individuals rather than the group, and they each received a share of his silent stare. He caught sight of another Merfolk, someone he didn’t recognize, but was only mildly interested. New people were always people to watch out for. They wouldn’t know their place, and they could very well do things they shouldn’t be getting themselves into. All new people needed to be taken into account and observed. So he turned his gaze away. Maybe he’d keep an eye on someone else for now.

Keefe - Outside the School Gates - clementinn clementinn (Devan) & EmilySmith EmilySmith (CJ)

He was right in the middle of detailing his excitement and plans for the upcoming sports events when his eyes caught on a pair making their way toward him. Keefe’s sentence broke off immediately and he pushed aside anyone in his way to close the distance with radiant joy on his face.

“Dev! Yo, CJ! Hey man, what’ve you been up to? CJ, how’ve you been? Guys- listen, you gotta hear this crazy thing that happened to me, I was out for a walk at like… 4:30 in the morning. It was silent but listen! I was minding my own business and some guy came up behind me and started going on and on about some fishing accident that happened the other day- some guy went missing, but, anyway- he thought that I did something and I just said: ‘Look man, I didn’t do anything but I’ll go look around because, yeah, I know, I’m like a walking flashlight sometimes..’. So, of course, I keep walking and I see some guy laying on the edge of the shore, so I go up to him and help him out obviously and later, I read in the newspaper that they wrote the guy was lucky to survive and that… ‘he must’ve had an angel watching over him’” Keefe finished in a whisper with a gleeful smirk.

“Yeah? Yeah? Good one, isn’t it?” He nodded and looked between the two of them.

It wasn’t clear if his story was remotely true, or if it was one of those long winded jokes for a punchline of bad taste. Either way, Keefe seemed proud of it.

George - Beside the School Gate - clementinn clementinn (Fern) & Silent Child Silent Child (Berry)

George narrowed his eyes a little at the other kid who appeared, but a cheery expression quickly came back upon his face. He needed to meet people, yes, it was a new year. This would be fun! Two people already. He grasped the hand Fern extended to him, and followed her movement to cross his own arm other the other and extend a hand to Berry as well.

He copied Fern’s excited tone and demeanor, though he didn’t move nearly as much. He was doing his best to present as he thought he should, and currently it was to act like an excitable child who was eager to learn. It seemed logical.

“Hiya Berry, nice to meet you Fern Evergrove. That’s Evergrove Evergrove, isn’t it? I know Evergrove! And hey, I’m taking Astrological Divination too. I’m… well, I’m technically a first-year, but I was here too last year. I’m in all first-year classes anyway. You must like constellations.” George pointed out to Fern, nodding at her arms. “How about you Berry?”

His attention wasn’t entirely fixed on them, he looked around curiously, trying to glimpse a few more faces through the crowd, but he was content. More than content. He was great! He was so good at this! He was going to be the best and most brilliant ever and he was going to succeed and everything. He smiled widely at the two.

Berry’s nerves fluttered wildly as Fern's hand closed around his. The energy radiating off her was as bright and bubbly as her voice, and for a moment, he seriously considered pulling his hand back. It wasn’t that he didn’t like the gesture—Fern didn’t seem the least bit threatening, and her enthusiasm was even a little endearing. But he wasn’t used to people holding onto him like this, and the sensation sent a wave of awkwardness crawling up his spine.

He glanced at her face, her bright eyes sparkling with unrestrained excitement, and something softened in him. She seemed so thrilled to be here, so genuinely happy, and he couldn’t bring himself to ruin the moment. Maybe she needed the reassurance of contact, he thought. And, if he was honest with himself, maybe he did, too. With a small, barely perceptible sigh, he let her keep his hand, though his fingers tensed a little as he adjusted to the feeling.

Before he could say anything, another voice chimed in, smooth and cheerful. George introduced himself with an easy confidence that Berry couldn’t help but envy. When George stretched his hand out for a shake, Berry hesitated for a split second, worried about the logistics of it with Fern still holding on. But he shifted his other arm over awkwardly and managed to clasp George’s hand for a quick shake. It felt oddly comforting to be included, even if his nerves were still rattling away.

Berry’s mouth opened to respond to George, but before he could, the loud, bubbly voice of a girl drew his attention. She introduced herself as Cassandra Jones—CJ—and asked if they were excited. Her energy was warm and inviting, like a burst of sunlight cutting through the nervous chatter around them. Berry almost answered her, but before he could form a single word, she was swept away by someone else—a boy with horns and a tail—who seemed to know her well. Her laugh lingered in the air even as she disappeared into the crowd.

The interruption left him slightly more frazzled, but he quickly brought his focus back to the two standing with him. “Uh… I’m taking Infusing Artwork, Herbology, and Beast Keeping,” he finally said, his voice quiet but steady this time, partly sounding as if he were reciting a list within his mind. “I think Infusing Artwork is going to be my favorite class. I, uh, I like making patterns in leaves. It’s relaxing, and I hope I can make things that… make other people happy, too.”

    “So… what about you two?”
he asked, a small hint of eagerness creeping into his tone. “What classes are you taking? Or- uhm, do you have anything you’re excited about this year?”

He wasn’t sure where the question came from, but it felt like the right thing to ask. It was easier to turn the spotlight on them than to keep talking about himself. And, truthfully, he was curious. Fern and George both seemed like the type to have big plans or unique perspectives, and if he was going to make friends here, he wanted to know more about them.

CJ giggled when Devan swept her off her feet, litterally, she rolls her eyes at the boy before looking at him, "You know...If you weren't my friend, I would have punched you." She said it softly looking at him with a teasing expression knowing fully well that she would have not if she wanted to. She smiles excited to listen to Keefe's story.

Once She got there, She smiles seeing Keefe still telling his story, "Hey." She said when Keefe noticed their presence and hugged the boy before going back to next to Devan.

As Keefe told a story, CJ listened with interest, smiling at the story. She found it interesting so she tapped her shoes on the ground listening to the story while making a song rhytm with her feet to lighten the mood of the story.

When Keefe asked them if it was a nice story, "Yes it is. It's interesting. Your so interesting." She said with a giggle looking at her friend with a smile.

Standing at the pillar near the gates Atlas found himself almost toppling over a couple of times, the daylight making him drowsy. He.. was an owl after all. He sluggishly hummed a tune to keep himself awake enough to hear what was going on, but eventually he succumbed to his instincts and dozed off upright. As Atlas 'snoohed' away he was suddenly awoken, and alarmed by someone. With an oddly swift motion he stumbled backward, and boosted himself into the air a couple of inches off the ground. His flying was a little wobbly as he tried to make sense of what just happened.

"W-Wha.." Atlas rubbed at the sides of his head, presumably where his ears were. Seeing the two girls with smiles on their face, he landed slowly, awkwardly fumbling with his finger nails. He had never seen a weredog before, or, whatever the other girl might be. so many different species have similar looks, he studied them for a moment, his nearly blank eyes filled with admiration. Realizing he had been staring too long he cleared his throat and looked away. "Oh-- u-um, Hi, there! Sorry- i- phew.." Seeing he was stuttering and hooting nonsense he took a breath and started over.

"S-Sorry, I-- was dozing a little, this isn't usually my time to be awake." He cocked his head a little, looking the two up and down individually. "I'm not used to seeing.. new people, I'm new, and um- what's this about schedules?" he asked, but then he paused and a look of worry crossed his face. his upper eyes looking around nervously. Manners? where have my manners gone? AND infront of guests-- I mean people these people were so nice and I-i-- "It's a pleasure to meet you two! I'm sorry, forgive my lack of m-manners, my name is Atlas." He extended his feathery hand, it was shaking. He made a fist for a moment before trying again, his tail feathers wagging slowly.

Takeo
It was an accursed thing, bumping into someone. Or rather, being bumped into. Either way, bumping was happening and he was still working on easing his nerves. To no one's surprise, pacing often does very little in the face of anxiety.

"Wah-" The impact isn't particularly noteworthy, and it doesn't hurt. But Takeo practically jumps anyway, his heart doing all the leaping as his feet stay firmly rooted to the ground - only taking a slight step instinctively backwards.

He did, to some degree, recognize the boy that had bumped into him. Much like seeing someone enough times in a crowd that they aren't entirely a stranger, but still foreign enough to you to be classified as such.

"It's fine-" He clears his throat, trying to make sure he sounds presentable. He hadn't spoken for quite a bit - and the whole 'trying to talk infront of the mirror this morning before he left to make sure he sounded and looked normal when he spoke' thing probably didn't count.

Oop, another person. Takeo inwardly begs the ground to swallow him up. Though he shouldn't, it was just a person. He had to stop stressing, but it was one of those easier said then done things.

His head tilts ever so slightly like a perplexed cat, trying to work out a proper response. His first instinct, usually, was to apologize and flee. It worked like, ninety percent - even when he didn't need to apologize for anything. Part of his 'new school year, new me' thing was apologizing less. Maybe bring that ninety to an eighty.

"No?" He starts tentatively, then inwardly frowns at himself for sounding so unsure. "I'm just . . . it helps me think. And there's nothing wrong with walking."

He studies the human, noting that their clothing is high quality and they are decidedly very important. Now normally he'd run for the hills, people are scary. But if was going to do any sort of personal growth, he ought to stop thinking everyone was awful without trying to get to know them - even if the boy infront of him looked like someone he should avoid.

"Joy Peters." She took Atlas's hand and gave it a firm shake. She didn't seem to notice his nervousness, and if she did, she did a pretty good job at ignoring it. "And this is Jordan. Welcome to the Academy! What landed you here?"

It was always good to assess. Atlas seemed polite, albeit a bit awkward, but Joy knew firsthand that people weren't always what they seemed at first glance. She'd made that mistake last year with Ronen, falling for the mask he'd put up for so long. Never again. She could be friendly, but real trust was now something that needed to be earned, and to do that, she needed all the information she could gather.

Her wings flitted a little behind her, she couldn't help it, and she hoped her apprehension wasn't too obvious.

"Crime? Denied from other schools? It's alright if you don't want to talk about it, not everybody does. Just... curious."

Devan- Outside the School Gates- Northe Northe (Keefe) & EmilySmith EmilySmith (CJ)

He rolled his eyes and nudged CJ. "Man, you're a dork. Does anyone actually believe that? CJ, don't tell me that you're actually falling for this guy's nonsense."

It was all in good fun, of course. Teasing and playing rough were just how he showed his affection.

Fern- Right Beside the School Gates- Northe Northe (George) & Silent Child Silent Child (Berry)

Wherever this child was from, it wasn't somewhere that she'd have learned proper etiquette when shaking someone's hand, considering she still hadn't let go of either of them. It was beginning to creep beyond the point of awkwardness and into being plain odd. She didn't even notice how strange she was behaving, her bright smile never leaving her face.

"The Library! I can't wait to see it, I've heard all these amazing things about it, like that it changes and it knows how to guide you to exactly the right book... I bet I could spend hours in there..."

Jordan bumped Joy’s arm gently with her fist, interjecting before Atlas could answer with an easy grin. “Neither of us are criminals, she’s legacy program and I couldn’t get in anywhere else, of course. So, we’re totally safe! Not that other people aren’t… but you have to be careful sometimes. Especially here. It is a really nice place though! Usually.”

Better than most places, at least in Jordan’s opinion. It was a place that took some time getting used to, but she’d even grown to anticipate and be excited about her years here. Mostly due to the clubs. While of course, the presence of criminals was noteworthy, Jordan wasn’t too eager to pin anyone too quickly as a ‘criminal’. Everyone made mistakes… right?

She understood Joy’s apprehension in voicing the question at least. Jordan had heard many people already talking about the Incident. It was a delicate subject, especially around Joy, and especially around new students. They didn’t need to be worried in the slightest.

“Oh come on!” He cried with a laugh, gently shoving Devan. “It was good, bro! It was so good! CJ thinks it was interesting, so it’s good! Listen, you gotta lighten up Dev, there’s gotta be a bunch of stuff that you did, huh? Or you, CJ? Oh, I know what it is, you guys had so much more fun than I did, didn’t you? Aw, that’s okay! You don’t have to be nice and spare my feelings, it’s totally cool! Come on, spill it! What’d you guys do all alone without me, you couldn’t have possibly spent the whole time moping and thinking ‘Man, I wish Keefe were here’,

What he’d just described was far more accurate to how he spent his time away from school. There was nothing out there in the world that he could possibly enjoy more than messing around with his bro Devan and CJ. All he could do was thank the stars for putting them all in the same weird mistfit academy.

George - Right Beside the School Gates - clementinn clementinn (Fern) & Silent Child Silent Child (Berry)

The mention of the Library caught George’s attention, alongside Fern’s sheer excitement about it. He pulled his hands abruptly out of the two-way handshake and placed his hands on her shoulders, shaking her a little.

“THE LIBRARY? Ohh, yes! You’d love it! I only went in there like once or twice or something because I was afraid it was going to swallow me, or something but I don’t know, I can tell you’d love it. You just seem the type! I’d love to see how the room reacts to you!”

It was true George was a little afraid of the Library. It was just a room, sure, sure. But maybe this year he’d tag along with this faun girl and live life how she did, excited and enamored by what seemed like everything. It would be a good change of pace from the year previous, and would certainly work to give off the impression he wanted.

“But Berry,” George turned back to fix his full attention upon the other kid in their little trio. “You said Infused Artwork? I’m in Infused Engineering, similar concept I suppose. I’m also in the Mentalist class too, that one’s my favorite. Above all else though, I excited for the clubs! Especially the—“ He paused briefly. Was he allowed to mention the music club? He’d never spent time last year talking to anyone outside of it, so he wasn’t too certain whether or not he could bring it up to two first-years. “—different choices! I’m excited to look around and see what else I might be able to join!”

Atlas Smiled briefly, his hand lingering in the air for a few more seconds before he set both of them infront of him. He was prepared to answer, but upon hearing the concern? or.. fear with the question, a worried look became apparent on his face. Had I scared them? was I rude? it really was my poor manners wasn't it? no- no-- this is a school with some, concerning people, no? its not me. Surely? hopefully? its perfectly understandable they'd want to be careful!

He stood there silently thinking about a response, but anxiety-ridden assumptions were making it hard for him to speak. "Uh--" Atlas shrank away a little, his body bending a little, displaying a lack of confidence compared to before. "Ah-- I'm sorry! i-if I was rude or anything-- that's totally understandable- I assure you though I-im no thief or anything like that." He spoke a little quickly. Honestly all he wanted to do was crawl into a tree and die. "Uh, I wasn't accepted. Anywhere else.. I-- have never been to an actual school before." Atlas looked away, his voice fading out a little at the last sentence.

"But- it happens, I'm excited to experience being in school though, especially with so much diversity--" His gaze shifted back to the two. He leaned forward, resisting the urge to walk closer to have an easier time looking at their features. "um-- you two are very.. Nice looking!" Atlas tilted his head, he looked unsure. but it was genuine! It was a compliment on their looks. but he wasnt sure on how to do it, as he was afraid of offending. "Aha, I don't think thats-- er the right wording. I'm sorry, I'm just- interested.. i've only ever been around my kin." The feathered boy backed up a little, feeling embarrassed now.

Berry shifted his weight slightly as Fern’s grip remained firmly around his hand. It wasn’t just that she was holding on—it was that she didn’t seem to notice at all. The unrelenting handshake had crossed into the realm of strange, but as he glanced at her vibrant expression, he found it hard to bring himself to say anything. It wasn’t exactly uncomfortable—just… new. Maybe she wasn’t used to formalities, or maybe this was just how she showed enthusiasm. Either way, Berry decided to let it slide, reasoning that if it made her happy, it couldn’t be all that bad.

He flinched slightly when George suddenly pulled his hand away, breaking the chain and grabbing Fern’s shoulders instead. George’s abrupt movement startled Berry, but he quickly relaxed as the boy’s excitement took over the conversation.

“The Library?” Berry echoed softly; his interest piqued as he listened to George’s animated description. The idea of a library that reacted to people, guiding them to exactly what they needed, was fascinating. He’d heard whispers about the Academy’s magical library, but hearing George confirm it brought a flicker of curiosity to life in Berry’s chest. He could imagine himself getting lost in there for hours, searching for books that would spark new ideas for his artwork.

Fern’s enthusiasm about the library was just as infectious, her words spilling out like a river with no end in sight. Berry couldn’t help but smile a little, her joy making it easier to ignore his lingering nerves.

When George turned his attention back to Berry, the boy straightened up slightly, his shaggy blonde hair falling into his eyes. He blinked as George mentioned Infused Engineering and Mentalism, the latter catching his attention.
“Mentalism? That sounds… really interesting,” Berry said, his tone more thoughtful now. He hesitated for a moment, trying to find the right words. “I, uh, don’t know much about it, but it sounds like it could be really powerful. What do you do in that class?”

At the mention of clubs, Berry’s anxiety stirred again, but it was more subdued this time. He hadn’t given much thought to joining any clubs yet—just surviving the day without embarrassing himself felt like enough of a goal for now. But George’s excitement made the idea seem less intimidating.
“Clubs could be fun,” Berry offered cautiously, his voice quieter.
“I think I'll join the gardening club- or maybe I already signed up, I'm not too sure-" He chuckled a little nervously, glancing between the two of them.

“The library does sound amazing,” Berry added after a pause, his voice gaining a little more confidence.
“I bet it’s got all kinds of books on Infusing. I really want to get better at making patterns, maybe even ones that move. Like, you could press on a leaf and it’d ripple out like water." His eyes lit up briefly as he imagined it, but then he caught himself and looked down, feeling a little self-conscious about getting carried away. Still, he felt a bit of warmth in his chest. Maybe this wasn’t so bad after all.

Knowing why Atlas was there seemed to put her at ease. The longer she talked to him the more she seemed to warm up to him, seeing him as the nervous, polite boy he really was instead of a potential threat. He reminded her a bit of Geode in that way. The skittish fluttering of her wings seemed to slow and she offered him a small smile. Thank goodness Jordan was able to ground her, or she might have worked herself into a spiraling tizzy.

"Nothing wrong with that. You're not alone, there are quite a few kids here who haven't been to a real school or been around their kin. I'm happy to answer any questions. In fact, maybe it'd be good for you to join our study group! It could help you get used to this new environment and we'd love to give you some guidance. I would hate for you to make friends with the wrong sort of people-"

She looked around, as if she were going to point out someone Atlas should be wary of, when her eyes landed on a pair standing a ways away. Takeo, a boy she'd seen before but really knew nothing about, and some fanciful boy with white hair that radiated such smug, pretentious energy that it made her blood boil. She straightened out her skirt. She couldn't tell what exactly, but she could tell something was up, and she brought it upon herself to handle that.

"...Jordan, why don't you fill him in on some of the clubs we're in? I think I need to talk to someone."

She flew off before she could give a response.

"I'm so sorry about her- was she bothering you? She doesn't exactly have the best social skills, our family doesn't get out much- I hope she hasn't been too much trouble-"

His air ran out, and he took in a long gasp of air to get it all back. "I'm... uh... I'm Geode. Her brother. Nice to meet you..."

Jordan offered a reassuring smile and a nod to Joy as she invited Atlas to their study group. It was a brilliant idea. She was slightly annoyed at herself that she hadn’t thought to offer the same invitation, but it did feel nice knowing that Joy had found enough good in the guy to let him join. She would’ve hated to have invited him and made her uncomfortable.

She was a little confused seeing Joy’s abrupt fluttering away, but upon seeing her trajectory, understood. Jordan turned back to Atlas, offering him another hesitant smile. “Yeah, I can tell you about our clubs! Oh, and please join our study group, it’ll be fun to have another person! And don’t worry at all about being awkward or… words. I think all of us here to some extent understand how difficult everything is. No judgement!”

“Anyway, Joy and I are both in the Baking Club. It’s a ton of fun! Even if you’re not that great at baking, you can come along and check it out sometime just to sample some things! Joy’s also in the Social Justice Club, and she’s part of the Newspaper. I’m in the Book Club! Those are just a few of the clubs, so I’m sure you’ll find something! You of course don’t need to join any of those to be in our study group, it’s just a space for some of us to gather and work on our homework with others who also want to work on homework.” She explained in a very long winded speech with hardly any break to breathe.

When she did pause, it was only for a moment to return a question back at Atlas. “What sort of things are you interested in? Any clubs or classes in particular?”

Keefe was about to reply to Devan’s claim about his story of ‘total nonsense’, but he was quickly distracted by the proposition. “Dev, it’s literally not even the first class. But aw, man, I gotta see it. There’s no way you can! Someone’s gonna see you and they’re gonna get you in trouble!”

Despite his worry, he grinned, his voice taking on a sing-song sort of playful taunting tone. “Ten bucks says you don’t get halfway! CJ, what do you think, huh? Do we need to stop this man?”

George was quite taken aback by Geode’s appearance. So taken aback he forgot to engage with Berry about his favorite topic of conversation: Mentalism. George did recognize Geode from the year previous, and he offered the older brother of his new friend a smile.

“Hiya, Geode. Fern’s really nice! Nobody would ever think she’s your sister with the way she’s so friendly! She’s no bother at all, we were just discussing our classes, the Library, and what we’re excited for! Care to join us?” He offered, still smiling widely. Perhaps, too widely.

“Berry was just saying about—oh! That leaf thing you described? That sounds super cool! Like- like…” George had no idea what that was like. He didn’t even know if he thought it was cool. He was just trying to be excited about something. “Uhh, you asked about the Mentalism class? It’s pretty chill. They only directly teach us about Telepathy and Telekinesis. It’s pretty tough stuff, but super cool and intricate in its own way. The class is an experience by itself. It’s not for everyone though, can be a little… strange sometimes.” He grinned.

CJ rolled her eyes at the two. Are they actually betting right now? She shakes her head in disapproval, can't believing them.

Takeo
Takeo had the distinct feeling that he was being observed, perhaps read. He doesn't bristle because 'tense people look suspicious' according to his mother, which is technically true he supposes, but he's always tense! He's a very nervous guy despite attempts to be otherwise.

At most, he offers a bit of a half hearted shrug, which is really just nonverbal confirmation. He's always found the word conundrum to be a bit of a silly word, always something overly proper people say. Regardless it fit the situation, didn't it? A silly word for a silly problem.

"It's nothing serious." Takeo replies with a slight shake of his hand. "Just, a new school year. It's enough to make most people a bit nervous."

He wasn't keen to be too personal, especially with someone who he didn't know. But then again, he wouldn't have shared his problems with someone he did know for awhile, Takeo was far too everything for that to happen. So, before things go any further, he carries on, flipping the subject in a hopefully smooth manner.

"But you don't seem nervous." At least, he didn't look nervous. Which was a point of envy, he could admit. Takeo always admired people who could look so unruffled, though he wasn't as brainless to think that what a person presented themselves outwardly was how they felt inwardly.

"Are you not..." And he pauses to search for the word. "-troubled, about the new school year?"

Berry froze as the boy with antlers—Geode, apparently—charged over and scooped Fern up. The sheer force of his arrival made Berry instinctively take half a step back, his wings twitching nervously. His eyes flicked between the siblings as Geode launched into a whirlwind of apologies, stumbling over his words in a way that felt both endearing and overwhelming.

“No, she wasn’t bothering us,” Berry said quickly, his voice soft but sincere. He glanced at Fern, who didn’t seem fazed by her brother’s sudden entrance. “She’s, um… she’s really nice, actually.” His hand still tingled slightly from how long Fern had held onto it, but he decided not to bring that up.

When George addressed Geode with his usual enthusiasm, Berry felt a small wave of relief. George’s confidence filled the space, giving Berry a moment to gather his thoughts. He nodded along as George spoke, his gaze briefly flicking back to Geode.

As George returned to the topic of Mentalism, Berry perked up a little. “Telepathy and Telekinesis?” he echoed, tilting his head thoughtfully. “That does sound… intricate.” He hesitated, trying to picture himself in such a class. “I think I’d be too nervous to try something like that. It sounds like it takes a lot of focus.”

Berry’s attention shifted to Fern, who seemed to still be brimming with energy despite her brother’s protective grip. “Fern mentioned Astrological Divination earlier,” he added, directing his words toward Geode. “She seems really excited about it.”

Then, as if realizing he hadn’t really acknowledged George’s attempt to engage with him earlier, Berry shifted his focus back. “Oh, um, thanks,” he said, his voice a little shy but warm. “About the leaf thing, I mean. I guess I just like making things that feel… alive, you know? Nature and stuff is cool-” He trailed off, feeling a little embarrassed for rambling.

He glanced at Geode again, curiosity flickering in his eyes. “Are you a student here too?” Berry asked tentatively, unsure if the older boy was another first-year or someone more experienced. “What classes are you taking?"

The question wasn’t just polite—it was genuine. Berry still felt like he was barely scraping the surface of what the Academy had to offer, and hearing about other people’s experiences might make the place feel a little less overwhelming.

"Excuse me!"

She landed right behind Agrona with her hands on her hips, and her wings nearly picking her up again as they flittered irritably behind her. She was doing her best to sound serious and maybe a little intimidating, but the high chirp of her voice didn't serve her well to her goal. Other than her glimmering wings, the rest of her was rather plain-looking.

Getting closer only confirmed the suspicions she'd already had in her mind. She could see it on the hint of his face he'd turned toward her- he was picking on the poor kid. Absolutely not, not in this school, not if she had anything to say about it.

"Are you bothering him? You-" She turned her gaze to Takeo and pointed at him, seemingly deciding that he was more important than Agrona and choosing to look straight past him. "Is he bothering you? Because I can go find a professor if he is! I'm a Legacy student, they trust me, they'll listen if I tell them!"

"That's a challenge! That was a challenge! You're so on!" He ruffled up CJ's hair while he shouted at Keefe, bursting with a new competitive excitement.

CJ rolls her eyes deepily when he ruffled her hair and ran at the school gates. Her eyes wondered over to the school gates as he ran to it. It wasn't much a worry since he's such a troublemaker but she couldn't help it.

"Bet he's going to fall." She joked looking at Keefe while watching her best friend climbing.
