You awaken from a seemingly eternal slumber. Life as you knew it is completely gone. Your routine, your home, your loved ones - the world as a whole is now infinitely distant as you wake up in a brand new, mysterious world, taking only your body, your powers -- if you had any -- and, if you’re lucky, some of your most prized possessions.
From your surroundings, the first image that pops up is a mountainous tree of neon blue light: the Allroot; an eerie hint of this helm’s true purpose, the crown jewel that sits at the dead center of an ocean of winds, that itself peppered with floating chunks of rock and soil as far as the eye can see. In defiance of common sense, the clouds hover just above you, some of them floating close to the point of tangibility.
As you drift your eyes about, you begin to hear voices of people around you. Strange, rushed whispers belonging to strangers unfamiliar to you. Individual thoughts relating to a 'game' and 'return' are understood by you, sorrow and sadness filled in their voices. One of these figures was what could only be described as a 'knight' sitting down and looking up to the sky for comfort. Despite his luxurious and pompous armor, and his expensive sword, he seemed as vulnerable as others around him, equally wearing different and unique pieces of gear.
What is 'home?' Is he also not from here? What do these people know? And better yet...
How long have they been here?
Welcome to Allroot Genesis, a multifandom, open-ended RP with an original setting. Here, you’ll be allowed to join with one or multiple characters from canon, OC or any combination of both into the world, where our team of GMs will provide contextual information and setpieces upon which to build your own journey. This includes NPCs, items, places, enemies and secrets, but no fixed plotline to speak of. Your characters will join small groups of player characters, known as parties, which are then free to roam and interact with the world however you see fit.
Other important notes to be made is that Allroot Genesis will be held on RPNation’s site, but participating on the Discord community is mandatory, as it is through there that we make all our announcements and discuss important decisions and changes between players. We also follow all of the site’s guidelines and common RPing etiquette rules, as we’d like to provide a pleasant experience for everyone involved.
