Body Marks: Nothing to big aside from the stuff you get from standard farm work. She does have a weird birthmark though(Looks kinda like a carrot?), right side, lower back area.


She also seems to have a perpetual frown upon her face.

Personality: An honest young woman with a heart of silver, mainly because she's too darn poor for a golden one. In truth, she's to poor for a lot of stuff, but making due with what you have is the nature of the survivalist. And this woman is in it for the long run.  Lacking a good deal of standard education she manages to get along in the world with her wits, tricks and knowing not to trust anything that's too good to be true. Of course if one were to meet her as a stranger she'd come off rather quiet, yet in a stoic fashion as opposed to skyness, never breaking eye contact for a moment if the person has her attention. In truth at times this eye contact can seem off putting and to an onlooker might even look like she is about to punch the person directly in the face. This may give her the appearance of a fierce woman, unflinching in all things. This is true in everything but combat. In combat she will do just about anything to get the upper hand or get the hell out of the area. Of all the things she wants, a fair fight is not one. Her life in the wilderness taught her two things, a straight fight is not worth the energy and a easy kill is the best kind. 


She is also very superstitious towards technology, locomotives give her the heebee jeebees and airships seem like a horrifying idea, thinking they'd fall from the sky with any moment. 


She can also make one hell of a shortcake.

History: Long ago, this young woman was born in the city of Maxwell to two bakers, who owned a little shop on a little corner in a little corner of a great big city. This family has lived there for generations, kneading dough, baking cakes, rolling pastries, for years they have long since, from popular opinion, perfected the craft of baking! Born youngest of the group of 6 sisters the young Aly followed the path her sisters and parents have taken, helping with baking sweets, cakes and all wondrous little treats. However, the little Alberta was different from her sisters, wanting more then just flour and dough. She wanted adventure, to find hidden treasures, to see the world beyond that little bakery door! The little one had a lust for adventure, but not quite the knowledge to back it all up! 


She knew nothing of the world outside! She could not make a house out of dough! She knew nothing of the creatures out there! A rolling pin could not defend her! Her hopes and dreams of adventure were simply that, fleeting as powdered sugar. But her parents, oh they knew of their daughter's wanderlust, ever since they had told them stories of the world the young girl wanted nothing more than to be free. As such, they managed to contact an old family member of her father's, his brother in fact, a man who has lived most his life travelling the world. he was a tough man to track down, but eventually he stumbled into the shop. 


He was a gruff man, a quiet one, but a man who was as honest and good hearted as can be. he took in the young woman, letting her for once in her life walk out into the world and learn what there was beyond the little bakery she called home. She packed what she had, said goodbye to her beloved family and set off with her uncle.


It was tough going out there, not every day would they be able to eat their fill, and not every day they they could sleep restfully. Winters were cold and summers hot, but still they persevered. Through wood and barrow, over hill and mountain, they roamed far and wide in search of treasure and trial. The years stretched on, and time waged war upon them, the young woman grew stronger, but her uncle became weaker. Until the day young Aly was left alone in the world, her uncle and mentor done in with an attempt to wrestle a bear, he thought to maybe breach the 50 win mark in his favorite hobby. But sadly, the choice of battlefield was not well suited to wrestling bears, her uncle's extra challenge turned into a death trap for him and the bear.


But that is what happens when you try to wrestle a bear next to a cliff edge, in a thunderstorm, covered in grease and blood, with a tornado forming in the landscape behind you, and lightning striking nearby trees to cause a forest fire. 


But with her uncle's death she did not weep, she knew it was coming and had talked to her uncle many times on the matter. She remembers his words to this day. "Aye lassie yea gots tah take the plunge if yea dinna yae meight miss ooot." 


She holds those words close to her heart... Even though it took her awhile to figure out what he actually said.


In the present she lives mainly on the road, stopping at cities to stock up on supplies, trade or sell treasures she has found. She has been making a good enough name for herself, and a good bunch of money, but she never seems to slow down, as if she was looking for something. A goal, a guide, a quest... Will she find it in the next town?


Occupation: Ex-baker turned adventurer.


Life Skills: Survival skills, damn good baker, great animal empathy, good judge of quality. Also how to wrestle bears and other large animals.



Material Possessions


Clothing and Attire: as seen above the picture conveniently shows two varieties, her winter weather clothing spouts a thick cloak, scarf and a fur lined hood to protect herself from the wind. She is often seen with a large leather backpack and a pouch at her side.

Arte level 3


Name of Arte: Bark into bite.


Type: ENM


Description: Using this arte causes the wood in the Art-ist's weapon to grow massive thorns that coil and snake around the weapon, causing the wielder no injury as they snake along and reside on the weapon. When struck by an enhanced weapon in a ATK dice action will cause double damage, 2-> 4 3>6 etc etc.

Name of Arte: Tooth and nail


Type: ATK


Description:  An arte in the barest sense of the definition, using one's inner fury into a nigh unstoppable flurry of strikes the arte-ist rushed towards their target, unleashing a blazing series of ferocious attacks. The nature of the attack makes it an issue to defend against, choatic yet with intent. The arte hits on a 1-4.

Arte level 5


Name of Arte: Bear god's demise.


Type: ATK


Description: The ultimate in anti-bear grappling arts, created by Alberta's uncle. Granting one's self the blessing of the winds the Arte-ist rushes forward, grabbing the enemy and flinging them both high into the air and coming down with break neck speeds before plunging the enemy into the earth with a glorious display of might! Inflicts 10 damage if successful, 15 damage if target is a bear or has the bear-sub type.(Latter is a joke, but if it ever comes up... the Were-bear has no chance.) Regardless of type of creature, the target is left pinned in the ground.

We do have a Jump Tech available at the shop. We can use this arte to Enhance that aspect. So whatever Jump level she is at, this arte can DOUBLE both height and length.


Arte level 2


Name of Arte: Shadow's grasp.


Type: PNM


Description: From the target's own shadow comes several black hands, lashing out and grabbing at the person's heels in an attempt to drag them to the ground. Pin on spot if successful, lasts two rounds. 


Elemental: Darkness

Cost: 12 SE


Rather than pin them to the ground, perhaps hold in place. In order to be set free from the Shadow grasp they will need to use their own arte to do so. We can therefore let this arte remain in effect indefinitely. The targetted player will HAVE to use arte to break free. Unless they wish to remain there. A mage could bombard them from a far lol.

What I gather from this arte, is that it supports Physical ATK. Tell you what, add that every successful Physical HIT with ATK dice will result in DOUBLE damage. So if someone lands 2 hits, instead of -2 HP it would be -4. This should last for 3 posts of the user.

I understand. However in any case, being hit by a level 5 arte is always results in -10 HP. Physical damage each = -1 HP while artes are DOUBLE the arte level.
