Personality
Abused for most of his life Akio has grown very cold to the world and believes emotion to be a weakness and strives to not himself show emotion. He can seem cold and distant when people talk to him and he reacts in a deadly manner towards anything he believes as a threat and often can make people uncomfortable, or even angry with the cold practicality of his nature.
However despite his best efforts he has not managed to remove his feelings completely and this shows more often when he is surprised or challenged. In many ways he is deeply damaged but refuses to open up to anyone unless somehow someone managed to get past his cold exterior and manage to get close to him, despite his apparent hate of people who try to understand what he had gone through in his early years. Despite his coldness he can be strangely kind at times and in battle a reliable force to have around who refuses to leave anyone behind.
Bio
Akio from a very young age lived with his father in the gutters of Chicago. His father was a drunk, who beat him regularly in brutal and increasingly savage ways while at the same time forcing him to take care of the house and would not let him go to school. It was around this time, in the horrible conditions of his living he learned of his abilities. One day when his father was beating him he tried to push him away and his power last out, snapping all his rips inside his frame into his heart and killing him instantly.
This was one of the first incident of illegal power abuse that brought mutant abilities into the fray. Akio was arrested and attempted to take him to a facility to test him but he was taken in route by a strange organization who experimented on him and tried to train him to be a living weapon. He closed off all feelings of emotion or remorse but escaped after several years, struggling to live by himself for years as he served as a mercenary and turned to crime to stay alive in a world that despised him. With the opening of the school he found himself drawn to it, knowing there were others of his kind, perhaps here he could find his place in the world.
