Physical Description: Aiko stands relatively on the small size at 5'4", though she seems slightly taller due to the pile of dark umber-colored dreadlocks on her head, oft tied in place by colorful scarves. Thick eyebrows rest over dark hazel eyes, a wide nose, and full lips. Her skin is a smooth russet color, and through her training over the years she has an athletic body, but still sports the wide hips and curves that are characteristics of her African ancestry.
Personality: Aiko is definitely a "spicy" person. Charismatic and more than a little loud, she seems to bring a little bit of sunshine with her wherever she goes. She respects authority, but is never afraid to speak up if something happens that goes against her moral code. Give her a task and she will see it through to the end, and where she sees a problem, Aiko will try her best to fix it. But in the same way that some peppers are too hot for some people, Aiko can burn other people.

Background: Born in the southern U.S., Aiko lived there until the age of three. Then, her dad got a promotion, and the family elected to move to Alaska, where Aiko's mom signed her up for a martial arts club to "find friends". Aiko took to it like a moth to flame, and for four years her family lived there happily, until they moved again to be closer to relatives. There, in Austin, Texas, she wasted no time in getting her parent's help finding a new dojo, this time in Kung Fu. The day of the first Reaper attack has lodged itself firmly in Aiko's mind; she was home sick with a bad flu, with her mother who was home caring for her. It was only later that she learned why her mother rushed her into her "secret" crawlspace clubhouse in the basement, commanding her to "Stay put, and don't leave until someone comes for you."
Aiko was never quite sure how long she was in there, surviving off the small bug out bag her father had in the hiding space for just such emergencies, but she was eventually found by a small rescue team searching for survivors. In the following years, she was shuffled around what remained of the foster care system, and when she turned 18 Aiko jumped at the chance to help the cause and join Weave.

Reason For Joining Weave: When Aiko learned that the Weave was recruiting, she signed up as soon as she could. At the time, she had not been reunited with any of her other family members, and decided that the surgery and the chance to help was worth the risk.
