Upon entering the cave, the mercenaries would be met with the sight of bountiful plant life sprouting from the ground and walls with a beam of sunlight peering within from a large opening in the ceiling. It would seem that the vines that blocked the entrance served as filters, for a the stench of a fresh corpse pierced the mercenaries' noses when they entered the lush cave. A bloody corpse of a carriage-sized Dragon coated with green and yellow scales lied on the floral floor. It was missing chunks of flesh as crimson blood stained various areas of its body.

(Imagine something similar to this, but without the deer. Disclaimer: This is not A.I. I do not own this image. I would credit it, but I found it on Pinterest, and I'm afraid I don't really have a way to track down the source)
Sitting above the felled mother Dragon was the Ripper Flytrap. It feasted upon the day-old corpse like a lavish king enjoying dinner. Near the dead Dragon were cracked glimmering and scaly egg shells, yellow fluid, and bloody bits. Two in-tact Dragon eggs sat in the nest, likely saved for dessert. The Ripper Flytrap was the size of a carriage, and appeared like a Venus Flytrap but with a bulbous and circular head. It had long vines for legs that behaved like octopus tentacles. It wielded eighteen large vine-tentacles that were either resting or picking off bits from the Dragon carcass. The beast was a bright green and decorated with red vertical stripes that ended as sharp triangles. Its three diamond-shaped eyes glowed a menacing yellow. Its razor-sharp giant thorn-teeth tore through its meal, savoring every bite.
Meanwhile, at the den's entrance, Barracuda hastened to the cavern, "Blestare, Steel-Mage, Elixen, remain here. Guard the entrance." Ordered he as he walked past them. Blestare balled his paws into fists, his face powered by determination,
"On it!" Replied he, electricity crackling from his hands.
“As you wish.” Spoke Elixen.
Near the entrance of the cave, there was a large rock that would provide cover for the mercenaries to plot. Barracuda hurried to cover, peaking from behind the boulder prior to turning to Korro, "Ice has little effect on them. They are deathly weak to high temperatures." He turned his focus to the Raccoonfolk. "Adelynn, can you use your power to torch the beast to ashes?" Asked he, hoping to save the last two eggs of a species of reptiles he possessed immense respect for.
