Adrian doesn't have what most would consider a 'supersuit' but he usually wears a dark hoody when on the lookout for street crime and alters the features of his face to protect his identity. 


 


Powers (Inherent traits):


 


Shapeshifting I



Adrian has the ability to assume the full form or physical aspects and qualities of any animal species having existed within recent times providing it has something equivalent to a brain. As well as taking on their physical shape he also receives their instincts; though they may conflict and resist the control of his conscious mind. Shifting into an animal is typically a conscious decision, but it may also be triggered by certain situations, such adrenaline spikes or sudden, strong shifts in emotion.

These 'Trigger Shifts' are less easily controlled and are usually tied to the animal(s) Adrian feels closest to, or 'tuned' into. Being tuned into an animal occurs when some (or in rare cases all) of its instincts are present outside of its shifted form to the point where it often feels like a separate presence altogether. In some cases effects also include changes in personality and alterations in physical appearance.


 


Shapeshifting II


(Currently Undescovered) 


The ability to assume the form of any living organism to which Adrian has collected the 'essence' of through contact with the subjects tissue/organic matter, fossil, etc. Provided that it has something equivalent to a brain. This allows Adrian to assume the forms or partial aspects and qualities of species that are extinct, not from earth, and even sentient beings such as other humans. 


 


Animal Communication/Manipulation

Adrian is slowly gaining the ability to communicate cross species which is achieved through a sort of telepathy that allows him to project and receive thoughts between himself and animals. 


 


 


Rapid Regeneration/Healing Factor


As a direct result of Adrian's shapeshifting powers, his cells are able to reproduce and alter themselves at a rapid rate which increases his ability to heal from damage and makes him less susceptable to becoming sick and quick to recover from poisons or the like.

Weaknesses:


 

  • [COLOR= rgb(39, 42, 52)]For Adrian, despite having the aid of an animals instincts it still takes time and practice to become comfortable in new forms and adapt to controlling the different types of body structures (although learning new forms similar to old ones is significantly easier) and their unique abilities. Due to the variety of different attributes this makes invertebrates by far the most difficult shapes to transform and master.[/COLOR]

 

  • [COLOR= rgb(39, 42, 52)]Trigger Shifting also poses a danger; these shifts are unpredictable and aren't easily reversed, meaning Adrian could be stuck in a shifted form until the cause (whether it be unregulated emotions or an imminent threat) dissapears and possibly left weakened from the stress.[/COLOR]

 

  • When injected with chemicals or poisons Adrian's healing factor decreases the reaction time it takes for such substances to  activate, essentially making it so that he will be first to experience its effects. 

 

  • Clothing that is not made of mostly organic material will remain unchanged when he shifts, limiting his options for armor and making it difficult to move if it doesn't tear off.

 

  • Depending on his experience with a form as well as the 'personality' of each species, Adrian may have to contend with the natural instincts of whatever creature's form he assumes and resist becoming overwhelmed. 

 

  • His healing factor cannot recover memories 

 


 


Weapons:


 


Nothing more than a pair of brass knuckles 


 


Other:


 


- As a result of his healing factor Adrian can't get drunk.


- Anaesthetic and other chemicals are quick to effect his body but wears off fast as well, making it difficult to go through medical operations should they be necessary.


- He and Verity are cousins.


- He keeps quite a few pet reptiles.


- He has an african grey parrot named Mortimer with a clever but rude personality— and a vocabulary to match.


- Becoming a vigilante has personal roots in Adrian's own history that led to a desire to protect the people around him from undergoing the same experience. 


- He's actually very distrustful of government organizations and harbours a fear of one day ending up as someone else's lab experiment.


- All of his pets are rescues or those in need of a new home.


 


Stuff he's brought with him to Mount Justice:


Adrian has a black duffel bag and a small backpack that he uses to store all of his things: in his duffel bag he carries his clothes, toiletries (toothbrush, hair gel, those types of things...) basic med kit (just some bandaids, stitching tools, alcohol wipes and a roll of gauze) and half a brick of green molding putty. In his backpack is a small digital camera, a battered up ipod with a pair of earbuds, a couple encyclopedias with info on different types of animals, some spray paint, pencils, and the bit of money he retrieved from his savings.
