Backstory: 


The two brothers lived in the slums of their village with their families.  The family used to have a big time name and used to own decent property and even had pull in politics.  However one huge mistake made from an ancestor landed the entire family in massive amount of debt.  It was so bad that the family felt the damage for generations, they lost their name prestige, they lost property and respect.  This debt ruined the family to such an extent no one wanted anything to do with them and they were forced onto the streets.  The brothers grandparents were the ones that were the first of the family that was pushed onto the streets completely snubbed by many people.   Of course the grandparents still tried their best to make a good life for their children, however it wasn't enough. 


 


The brothers mother was the middle child of four kids, and once she gave birth to Dylan she wanted absolutely nothing to do with them.  They were mouths to feed and she was too poor, she could barely feed Aditi, so feeding another mouth was impossible. Blaming her parents for not letting her get an abortion she dumped her kids with them and left never to be heard from again.  The grandparents who were old and sick did what they could for the two boys.  As their aunts and uncle didn't even bother to lift a finger to help.  However there was only so much they could do as they were still dirt poor.  This lead to Aditi doing what he could to provide food for himself and his brother despite his young age of only 9 at the time.  He had to stick with petty theft and such to get something in their gut for just a night.


 


As time went on he got better at stealing and scavenging he was able to snag a golden key from a merchant. He didn't know what it did but it was shiny so he stole it in hopes it would be worth a lot.  Before he tried to sell the key however he had his focus on getting more targets.  One target happened to be a passing by guildmaster of the guild Raven Tail.  He stole something off their person and made a run for it.  However being a child he was quickly caught.  In his desperate struggle to get away, the spirit of the key came forth and assisted him in getting away.  That spirit was Capricorn, his first spirit.   The guildmaster was mildly impressed that a young boy got a spirit and was able to summon him that the master decided to learn a bit about Aditi.  It didn't take long to learn of his situation.  So seeing this as a possible future investment the master decided to take the starving kids to the guild (he was only going to take Aditi but Aditi refused to go anywhere without his baby brother).  Once the two joined the guild that day, they stuck with it as to them it saved their lives.  They feel like they owe the guild everything and are more than willing to do anything asked of them. 


 


Personality:


Aditi is the most daring out of the two brothers, always finding thrill in risking his lives (and others) he goes out of his way to take the hardest quest he can et his hands on.  He doesn't care how long it may take to complete these quest, be it five or more years as he is very patient.  Though it may not show in his fighting style it does show in his personality.  He can be placed with a stubborn partner or even a hothead if needed as his patience allows him to be rather compatible with them.  Though he is patient with others when need be, when he is with people close to him he is rather energetic.  He's capable of talking nonstop for an hour if you let him about random subjects that don't matter to him or anyone in the room.  He always seems to have energy for it is rare to see him yawn, even after a hard day of work.


 


He is also a very flexible person in both body and mind.  He knows his ideas and methods aren't the only ones out there and there fore is more than open to listening to counter ideals.  Even if he may not agree completely with a person he won't simply dismiss their way of thinking wrong. Due to him listening to both sides rather than only one when it comes to an argument he can be very knowledgeable if he puts enough thought into things.  He masks how well knowledge he may be.  As he often doesn't want to be pulled into arguments where he is suppose to be a peace maker.  Since that means responsibility, something he tries his best to avoid.  To him accepting responsibility is the adult thing to do.  And despite being 23 he doesn't want to start adulting any time soon.


 


He has the tendency to be a slob at times to, just leaving dirty dishes lying around or not bothering to do the laundry.  Again he sees this as responsibility so again he avoids it like the plague.  If a subject or even a job turns out to be boring in anyway to him he has the habit of going off course and being neglectful to the quest.  Even if the quest is an urgent one, if he lost interest then he is basically done with the quest.  When it comes to this, he will either pass the quest off to a guildmate.  Or he will complete the quest but it will be mentally and even physically painful for him.  Even when he wants to do something he does have the habit of procrastinating, doing everything but the thing he really wants to do, often giving excuses for the delay.  Doing this can lead to a never ending circle.  interested > procrastinates > lose interest > quits job or finish it with minimal effort.  Repeat.


 


Dylan is the brother with the common sense out of the two.  He doesn't rush into battle head first much like his brother does, rather he sits back surveys the land and then goes into the battle.  He doesn't like the idea of risking his life for a thrill (which is one reason he detest rollercoasters), if he is to do a job he needs to plan it and understand what is asked of him before he does the quest.  He loves being organized and takes pride in knowing he has prepared everything needed for the job and maybe a bit more for just in case situations.  Much like his brother he is patient, however his fuse isn't as long as Aditi's.  So what won't tick Aditi off may very well tick Dylan off.  He isnt' as energetic as  his brother and enjoys taking naps when the opportunity arises, though never when he is on the job or has work to do.  He can't speak for hours on end unless its with his brother or people he is very familiar with.  As he has a tendency to get very quiet when new people speak to him, especially if he is in a large groups.


 


Again like his brother he is flexible however this is only physical, when it comes to listening he more often then not doesn't.  He believes his way is right and though he can be persuaded to think differently its not an easy task to do.  For he remains headstrong in his beliefs and loyalty's.  When he gets attached to someone whether it be due to a strong friendship or even possible lover he won't be one to betray you at the drop of a hat.  He takes loyalty to a high level, and mixed with his stubbornness its truly not easy to get secrets out of him.  Meaning if you can trust him enough he makes a great confidant.


 


When it comes to jobs and completing them he is stays completely focused to these jobs.  Even if the job is ridiculous he will still treat it like any other job and finish it from start to finish.  He doesn't' lose interest in a job like his brother, even if the job he does take is boring.  Personally he likes the boring ones, if things are uneventful then it means easy money, unless it means he has to solve a riddle or several. He hates riddles, he truly to the bottom of his heart hates riddles. 


 


He doesn't have the best reputation in the making friends department as he is either quiet and doesn't speak up often (this is mainly with new people and or groups), or because he is simply to blunt for his own good. If he sees something is stupid he will say it, if he things something is ugly or senseless again he will state without hesitation.  He will question your mental ability if questions he considers stupid are asked.  Though he is blunt and at times harsh with his words, a lot of the time when he is rude he doesn't fully comprehend that he is being rude.  He states what he sees, and if someone gets offended by that he on average didn't mean to offend them.  When it comes to combat he can be rather merciless, taking up any shot that he sees and going in for a crippling blow.  However he can be very gentle as well and kind, especially to kids or those that are in need of help.  Despite the guild being known as a dark guild he personally doesn't like the idea of hurting those who do not deserve to be hurt.


 


Strengths:


Aditi


-Has a lot of magical power which allows him to summon two spirts at a time, he is even capable of switching spirits out constantly without wearing himself down for a long amount of time.


-Has great relationships with his spirits which means a stronger bond between them allowing for stronger spirits to help him in a fight


-Knows martial arts, so even if his spirits are busy he isn't completely defenseless


-Has plenty of stamina allowing him to stay in battle for long periods of time.


-Is flexible and able to use acrobatics to get distance from an opponent or close it


 


Dylan


-Has 20 vision in his only eye and is a crack shot, on average able to hit his target even if they are moving at fast paces.


-Is capable of holding still for hours on end, meaning he is a perfect sniper when the time calls for it


-Has impressive reflexes and great hand eye coordination allowing precise and fast shots.


-With his flexibility mixed with his stamina he is capable of fighting in close combat using flips and rolls to either give him an advantage or to dodge an attack.


-Magic require more physical effort therefore he is physically fit


-Capable of taking hits


 


Weaknesses:


Aditi


-Relies on magic and can't take a lot of hits


-Summoning spirits is very draining, even with his high amount of magical reserves he still will likely wear out faster than other S class mages if hes not careful


-Reckless, can get himself and others hurt due to his actions


-Procrastination this can effect his job for if he delays to much he will lose interest which makes it near impossible for him to finish a job like he should.


 


Dylan


-Is missing one eye due to an accident on a job so his field of vision is limited


-Too blunt for his own good


-Deathly fear of fire and can freak out if it gets too close to him or if he is surrounded by it


-Doesn't take the incentive if in a group and prefers to follow while keeping quiet even if he has different ideas then the rest of the group


-Still learning a lot on his bandage magic and is barely an apprentice level with it.


-Bandages are highly flammable (the white ones at least)


-They are not unbreakable and if tugged against hard end his traps can be broken.

Nezumi, The Rat


(these spirts are from pervious RP I was in but never got a chance to use them so I'm using them here. I do not take credit in making them)

Nezumi is an incredibly intelligent, analytical, and cunning Spirit, considered to be the sneakiest out all the Oriental Zodiac; however, he is timid and insecure, lacking the courage to lead or be responsible. Further, Nezumi is greedy and obsessed with gathering items and trinkets, like a pack-rat (no pun intended). Strangely enough, his obsession with gathering is only matched by his compulsion to remain tidy, making him both a gatherer and a clean-freak who insists on sanitation and organization. Finally, Nezumi is a master of deception and disguise, combining both his magical ability and nature to steal, sneak, and sabotage with ease.



Magic Ability: The Deceptive Spirit



Strengths: With this Magic, Nezumi is able to become the perfect infiltrator, con-master, or saboteur. Among other things, his Magic allows him to generate life-like illusions over himself, another living being, or the environment. Essentially, this allows him or one other living being to gain the appearance of anything he wants, or change people’s perception of the environment to suit his needs.


His second ability is the ability to travel through shadows by fading into them, with the additional capability of being able to transport one other living being or item along with him.


Also, Nezumi can create tentacle-like rat tails that he can use as additional limbs to whip opponents, carry more objects, or lift himself to higher locations.


Weaknesses: Although his illusions affect a person’s senses, the use of Magic Power can still be detected by the recipient if Nezumi alters more than two senses. That means that while he can create total immersion, he often leaves out something against Mages so its harder to detect the illusion. As a consequence, because Nezumi deliberately leaves some senses unaffected by the illusion to preserve its concealment from magical senses, victims become able determine they’re in an illusion through careful perception of inconsistencies in the environment. To break the illusion, Nezumi either needs to run out of Magic Power, or the victim much overload the senses affected by the illusion with Magic Power until it overpowers the amount emplaced by Nezumi.


Finally, while his shadow-travel is effective, he must remain in the shadow for the duration of his ability, meaning he cannot travel through any area that’s not shadowed. Further, if the shadow he’s in disappears, then he’s immediately brought out and cannot submerge again for ten seconds. Nezumi can only travel for thirty seconds when with another companion or large item.


In combat, a strong slicing attack easily severs his rat tails. Furthermore, he can only maintain a limited amount coinciding with the strength of any illusion he might be using, up to 10. They cannot be recreated for ten seconds after they are destroyed.


tl;dr Nezumi, the Rat, is an intelligent and cunning master of illusions, deception, and stealth. His defining quirks are his timid disposition, collecting pack-rat nature, and obsessive cleanliness.



Ushi, The Ox

Ushi is a very traditional, industrious, wise, and experienced Spirit, much like an elder among the Oriental Zodiac. His strong will, faith, and stern disposition make him an excellent mentor to others. He's very assured on his path, having already decided his moral code, and is an honorable warrior that will strictly follow his ideals to the end. Additionally, with an amiable temper and wisdom, he does well in advising leaders, although a poor leader himself because of lacking communication skills; often the things he says are taken the wrong way and abrasive or he simply doesn't speak up. He's always insistent and stubborn on following the traditional ways of the past. In his spare time, Ushi is known to enjoy writing poems, making him a sort of warrior-poet.





Magic Ability: The Ancient Spirit



Strengths: Ushi's Magic makes him an incredibly strong and durable, which combined with his combat experience makes him a powerful, front-line warrior. His abilities include enhanced strength, endurance, and sturdiness. While that in itself isn't particularly impressive, his Magic combined with his equipment make him a feared menace. While he has enough strength to be an offensive fighter, Ushi's primary advantage is his undeniable capabilities of defense and protecting others from harm.

First, Ushi's Ancient Armor is a powerful, magically-enchanted plate defense made from an unknown, Spirit World exclusive metal that further increases the power of his abilities and defense. Its most distinctive feature is the ability to project a 5-foot, flat, circular shield of magical energy that is nearly impenetrable.

To complement the armor, Ushi utilizes an Ancient Bastard Sword made of materials similar to his armor; like the other, it enhances his abilities, as well as increasing his offensive potential. Its serrated edges and extreme weight make it a sharp and deadly weapon, but its distinctive feature is the ability to transform into an actual shield with the same properties as his magical one, except with mobility.

Weaknesses: While his strength is incredible, the heavy weight of his equipment, even with strength enhancements, still make him one of the slower Spirits; anyone with enough consistent speed can avoid his attacks, although they must be careful of rubble or collateral damage that results from them.

Further, Ushi's magical shield, once placed, cannot be moved. That means any prospective opponent can simply outmaneuver the barrier to attack. In addition, the shield remains in place for ten seconds and cannot be dismissed until after that, and Ushi must wait another five seconds before creating the shield again.

If his sword is in shield-mode, Ushi has incredible defenses, but his already low mobility is drastically reduced and he can only walk to new locations, meaning outmaneuvering is still possible. Not only that, but the sword can only stay transformed for thirty seconds; after that it returns into sword-form and cannot transform again for another fifteen seconds. Finally, while in shield-mode, Ushi's has little offensive capabilities, and is little more than a glorified, moving wall; another way to defeat him is to remove his summoner while he's still slow in shield-mode, dismissing him by default.

tl;dr – Ushi, the Ox, is a wise and experienced elder Spirit and a literal tank, who can take and dish out incredible punishment. His defining quirks are his insistence on traditional ways and his status as an honorable warrior-poet.


 


Tora, The Tiger

Tora is a rebellious, impatient, temperamental (and short) girl that conflicts with seniority and authority. She has a hasty mind and frequently makes quick (yet foolish) decisions without consulting others, which confined with her overconfident nature make Tora a poor communicator. Not only that, but her rebellious nature means she often argues or conflicts with summoners, even refusing to work with them if she doesn't like them. Further, her impatience belittles her natural intelligence by virtue of the fact that she's too hasty to listen to her brain at all. Nonetheless, she has an easy time expressing her desires and emotions, rather loudly in fact, and is a very emotional and sympathetic girl. Tora's favorite things are her friends, and she's deeply loyal to those she pledges herself to, however few; her bravery and valiance means she'll dive herself straight into hell to pull her precious people out if need be. Despite her great passion, she is unwilling to show love, and often insults or acts rude to these people instead. Her enjoyments are any contest or challenge, particularly fights, which is where she thrives. It’s also known that she does not appreciate jabs against her height.


 


Magical Ability: The Fighting Spirit


 


Strengths: Tora's Magic allows her to channel and project her Magic Power both through and outside her body, allowing her to manifest energy claws, blades, armor, skates, fans, cat-toys, and whatever else the hell she wants. Not only that, but channeling energy into her body enhances her already strong physical capabilities, giving her increased athletic potential in all aspects. In addition, the more determined or emotional she is at the time, the more of her spirit and Magic Power is unleashed into her abilities; arguably, when possessing an extremely strong bond with her summoner while the latter is in danger, Tora becomes the undeniable strongest of the Oriental Zodiac by a large margin.


 


The energy weapons Tora can project range with a variety of properties, but are always extremely effective at her intended purpose. For example, her trademark weapon, energy claws projected from the ends of her fingers, are remarkably sharp and can cut through even magical steel as if it were butter.


Her Magic, speed, and natural, cat-like dexterity serve to increase her deadly capabilities, making her a fast and agile opponent at any dimension, able to traverse up, down, to the side, diagonally, through the air, and generally be so damn maneuverable that her opponents have a hard time keeping up before they're surgically defeated by her claws.


 


Weaknesses: Although her physical abilities are top-notch, Tora's volatile personality makes her vulnerable to taunts, insults, and mental attacks. Her impulsive nature means she’ll often attack head on without a sense for tactics, making it easy to lure her into traps and unfavorable situations.


Furthermore, her Magic can only project one item at a time, meaning her constitution will be weaker when she’s using her claws and vice-versa. While her Magic projection remains out indefinitely, the larger the object she’s creating the more Magic Power it costs exponentially, limiting her to smaller projections. In addition to that, her Magic is limited to a three-feet radius around her, forcing her to fight only in those ranges. For aforementioned reason, she’s vulnerable to wide, area-of-effect ranged attacks that are difficult to dodge, and generally ranged Mages have an advantage against her so long as they can keep her at bay.


It takes Tora three seconds to create her projections if they’re something she’s not intimately familiar with – namely, her claws. In that period she’s vulnerable without magical enhancement or projections to fight with, weakened only to her natural abilities.


All in all, Tora’s combat strength remains exceptionally strong, with her primary weakness being a lack of utility and defensive capabilities, being pretty useless at jobs that don’t require fighting. Furthermore, because of her weak supportive defense, it’s simpler to take out Tora’s summoner to dismiss her, as he or she will almost certainly be an easier target than Tora.


tl;dr – Tora, the Tiger, is a rebellious, impatient, and short Spirit who excels at fighting, but not so much at thinking and other roles. Her defining quirks are her Napoleon-complex, obsession with fighting, and her tsundere personality.


 


 


Usagi, The Rabbit

Usagi is a soft-soken and compassionate Spirit; a gentle, hospitable, and sensitive woman who shies away from aggressive or competitive situations. More often than not, her consevative nature makes her uninterested in taking risks and fighting, preferring for a peaceful resolution to all conflicts. Furthermore, Usagi is extremely sensitive to emotions, able to literally detect the feelings of people around her. She has become an excellent mediary between people as a result, and desires to uplift all the people around her of negative emotions—in fact, her empathy is legendary even among the Celestial Spirits. Most of the time, Usagi won’t be very stubborn or insistent on anything, which also makes her easily taken advantage of, and a bad leader as a result. Nonetheless, her devotion to someone she loves is absolute, and she will do anything in her power to support them. She enjoys being a host and soothing people under her care, having perfecting massage, relaxation, and comfort to a personal art. At the same time, her sensitive nature also makes Usagi facsinated with romance, and is a mischievous matchmaker who goes out of her way to set up romantic scenarios between people that she “ships.” Although she won’t show it, Usagi’s hypersensitivity to emotions exposes her to people’s negative feeling as well, and often leaving her mentally and emotionally exhausted as a result. For this reason, she enjoys escaping reality, particularly when reading books or watching soap operas.


 


Magical Ability: The Supportive Spirit


 


Strengths: Usagi possesses an inherently supportive type of Magic that functions best when paired up with an ally. Her most iconic skill is the ability to generate Magical Auras, blankets of Magic Power that are mostly utility-based. In battle, Usagi is able to create Speed and Strength Auras to increase her ally’s physical capabilities; furthermore, she is capable of siphoning her own Magic to restore her ally’s reserves with Magic Power Aura, or healing their injuries with the Rejuvenation Aura.


 


However, while she possesses combat capabilities, Usagi’s Magic is by no means limited to it. One of her Magic’s greatest capabilities is the ability to sense the emotions of people around her by connecting her Magic Power with theirs. Furthermore, with a strong and steady supply of her Magic into her target, Usagi is able to actually feel their emotions and memories as if she was the one to experience them. Not only that, but with a willing target and compatible Magic, she can infuse her own emotions and memories into another person. As an extension of her sensitivity to emotions, her Magic also allows her to detect people within her radius by either feeling their emotions or their Magic Power. The range of this ability often varies depending on how much Magic Power she exerts, but passively it remains at about one hundred meters, able to extend up to ten kilometers at the maximum.


 


Usagi also possesses several other types of Magic Auras uninvolved with combat, of which comprises the majority of her arsenal. The full number of Auras she can create is unknown, but presumably she is able to generate an Aura for any feeling or emotion; however, Usagi avoids using negative Auras, leaving most of them with positive effects—although, she can choose who her Magic Auras will target. Among these Auras include: Calming Aura, Confidence Aura, Motivation Aura, Joyful Aura, Sleeping Aura, Comfort Aura, Pleasure Aura(Usage Uncommon), Love Aura(Ineffective—hopefully), Amusement Aura, and Empathy Aura. Many of these are used in conjunction with her exceptional hosting abilities to induce total, utter relaxation in her presence.


 


Weaknesses: Although each Magic Aura can be powerful, Usagi is only able to produce and use one at a time. While active, each Aura will constantly drain on her reserves, and she is only able to maintain a single Aura for thirty minutes at most before her control wavers. Strategic planning is particularly needed when using these Auras in combat, because Usagi cannot change her Aura for five minutes after she’s generated it, and must recreate each new Aura she’ll use before she does. The period it takes Usagi to create an Aura varies depending on how many people she wants to affect, and the distance there is between them, with the amount of Magic Power expended increasing exponentionally the larger it gets.


 


At one time, the most people Usagi can utilize her Magic Aura on is fifty, and they are required to all be within a one hundred meter radius from her at all times to continue the effect. In addition, the more people targeted by the Aura, the weaker it’s effects for each individual, as the Magic Power used is split up between all of them. Usagi is not capable of dispensing more Aura to any indivudal under it than another, meaning that the Magic Power is always split evenly. Furthermore, while she can exert more Magic Power to increase the effects of the Magic Aura, its duration will drastically decrease before Usagi requires a break.


Usagi’s sensing ability, while a great boom to detecting people, can also be a double-edged sword. Because she’s hypersensitive to emotions and Magic, a sudden overload of immense Magic Power or extreme emotion can overwhelm her, even possibly affecting her own emotional state if the feeling is strong enough. While Usagi has developed the ability to filter out a typical Mage’s powerful attacks, SS-class abilities or a sudden release of massive amounts of Magic Power, such as a Formula 100 Amaterasu, can stun her with the devastating force released. Extreme concentrations of emotion can do the same, but Usagi is practically immune to positive emotions; however, an incredible amount of anger, hatred, malice, or other negative emotions gathered into one location has the same effect.


tl;dr Usagi is a compassionate Spirit who loves counseling people and helping others, particularly so with her seemingly-unnatural ability to sense emotions. Her defining quirks are her matchmaking tendencies, insistent hosting, and love of escaping reality.


 


Ryuu, The Dragon

As the representative of the Dragon, Ryuu possesses both the most majestic heritage among the Oriental Zodiac and the most expectations. He is a perfectionist, a man who hates flaws or defects in anything, no matter what it is. This has led to him developing powerful commitments to anything he decides to put his attention to, forgoing all other distractions in favor of mastering his new project. Among these projects sometimes includes his summoners, of which he’ll be absolutely devoted to if they earn his loyalty. Although Ryuu’s perfectionism has made him a man of few skills, he has trained his small repertoire to become a fierce arsenal of abilities, all grandmaster-like in capability; in that sense, he’s a man who lives by the rule of quality over quantity. Furthermore, Ryuu intentionally avoids partaking too much in disciplines other than those he cares about because of his perfectionist habits. Most of the time he prefers working alone, rarely asking for help from others because of a sense of duty he feels to master everything on his own, a trait often mistaken as arrogance. He’s constantly unrealistic with his own expectations, always pushing for some ridiculous new goals, and is a tactless critic who abhors failure, often criticizing both himself and other people for inefficiency and setbacks. Nonetheless, he’s an attractive Spirit, which offsets his attitude enough to make him desirable; he’ll never mention it out loud, but Ryuu is a closet romantic who’s sensitive about his reputation and tries his best to look “cool.”


 


Magic Ability: The Sovereign Spirit


 


Strengths: Ryuu’s greatest strength lies neither in the advanced techniques nor the specialized abilities he has, but his firm mastery of the fundamental basics of Magic. His nature has allowed him to nearly perfect the creation, manipulation, and the storage of pure Magic itself, focusing it into his body to augment his physical capabilities and is able to manifest shrouds of Magic Power to act as armor, an attack boost, or an intimidation factor. Perhaps more so than the other Celestial Spirits, Ryuu’s ability to flood an area with Magic Power allows him to generate a sense of domination and overwhelming power into his opponents.


 


Furthermore, Ryuu utilizes a sleek and beautiful glider constructed by thin scales akin to a dragon’s. It acts as an essential extension of himself, and through a firm connection to his glider, he’s able to remotely issue commands to the flying device without physical contact. Not only that, but his mastery of Magic manipulation allows him to push pure Eternano into this glider, acting like a telekinetic push that gives the thrust needed for him to achieve personal flight and incredible mobility. He can also transport one person on his glider other than himself, which also makes him useful as a ride for his summoner.


 


Although his mastery of the basics already gives him high utility and dangerous capabilities, his final skill is what fully demonstrates his dragon-like tactics and nature—a style that focuses on a single, yet extremely precise, fast, and powerful strike that defeats or cripples his opponents in just one overwhelming blow. To execute this strategy Ryuu has become a master of Iaido, a form of katana technique that emphasizes smooth and controlled attacks with quick draws from his sheath. Ryuu’s signature weapon to accompany this style is his dragon katana, a weapon forged from unknown Celestial Spirit World materials that make it immensely durable and sharp, far more so than a typical magical weapon. These elements combined make his unique and extremely powerful ability, the Overwhelming Strike.imageproxy.jpg


 


Weaknesses: Ryuu’s intense focus on single, overwhelming strikes is also his downfall. While he can easily defeat most opponents with just his one attack, he expends a great amount of Magic Power in doing so, and cannot repeat this attack for one minute after he’s used it. In addition, Ryuu is always weakest in extended fights, so anyone who can withstand his initial, albeit devastating, attack will have the advantage therein after that. His perfectionist nature and dedication to Iaido has rendered him weak in typical sword combat, and mostly relies on speed or mobility while recharging his attacks.


 


Furthermore, Ryuu tends to favor his Overwhelming Strike beyond other attacks, an ability that takes five seconds to charge before it’s used. He must also wait another minute before he’s able to use the ability once more, making him vulnerable in that window during an extended fight. Not only that, but Ryuu is unable to actively manipulate his glider while using his Overwhelming Strike, forcing him to either not use it or rely on its velocity to carry him to his target. This means that in the short period right before he attacks and during the ability’s duration, Ryuu’s inertia makes him fly in a straight line towards his target, thereby giving another short window for his opponent to dodge the attack.


 


While Ryuu’s focus on his Overwhelming Strike gives him incredible dueling potential, his skillset also means that he’s far weaker when fighting multiple opponents. Often he may be able to defeat one of his enemies, but will be instantly forced onto the defensive against the others while waiting for his abilities to recharge. Furthermore, because his Overwhelming Strike utilizes an immense amount of Magic Power, Ryuu’s reserves become depleted very quickly, thus slowing him down and making him less deadly in terms of physical capability during his vulnerable window; in addition, this high usage of Magic Power also means that Ryuu is limited to only five Overwhelming Strikes before he tires out, and must recharge his energy for at least ten minutes before he can perform another such attack.


 


tl;dr Ryuu is a perfectionist who embodies the idea of quality over quantity, and is a strong duelist who excels at working by himself. His defining quirks are his insane expectations and commitments, a high sensitivity to his reputation and his secretly romantic nature.


 


 


Hebi, The Snake

For all the praise she gets for being graceful, intelligent, beautiful, perfect or elegant, her only concern among it all is that they all paid to attention to who she was. On the exterior she projects her impeccable aura of the highest status to great effect, often with the admirers to back it up. An accurate comparison would be between Hebi and a renown Pop-Star, whose very being oozes a sense of unattainable sensuality and goddess-like reputation. Her talents complement that idea to the extreme—among the Oriental Zodiac, and the rest of the Celestial Spirit World (for now), she’s legendary for her incredible expertise with the performing arts, and her hundreds of years of experience allow her to match or far outpace even the most talented human performers with ease. Song, dance, walk, and otherwise, her exquisite and sexy presentation can enthrall both men and women to obey her without question within seconds of meeting her. However, Hebi’s obsession with fame and being the center of attention has also made her an extremely materialistic woman; she often prefers a flashy and luxurious appearance that flaunts opulence, although wealth is not among any of her concerns. In terms of personal relationships, Hebi is rather cautious with the people around her, but once somebody has become desirable to her, she is prone to developing an intense infatuation for them, potentially to the point of mania. Additionally, Hebi suffers regularly from jealousy, suspicion, paranoia, and overprotectiveness when with these rare people, occasionally overdoing it in her friendships and relationships because of her tendency to guard those close to her like prized possessions. Her hobbies mainly include attracting the attention of others and drenching herself with it, but Hebi is also known to be a mischievous seductress and flirtatious woman who enjoys playing with and teasing her prey. Furthermore, she’s dedicated to practicing the performing arts, and, as if to accentuate her peculiarities, Hebi has a habit of sitting on thrones that appear out of nowhere and instantly changing into queen-like outfits with impossible speed.



Magic Ability: The Temporal Spirit


 


Strengths: Hebi is known as a master of vibrations, which does give her the potential to be deadly, but is more commonly used as a supplement to her performing prowess. With it she is able to mechanically and precisely adjust her pitch and tone to perfection, creating the mesmerizing and enrapturing voice she is known for or generate almost any other sound possible. From animals to shrieks and rumblings, Hebi’s incredible skill and centuries of experience allow her to imitate any noise she would like (often to great convenience when she creates music without instruments).


Hebi is not limited to only utilizing vibrations with her voice. In fact, her mastery extends to manipulation through her body as well, allowing her the ability to enhance her body’s physical capabilities or affect the environment around her. For instance, she’s able to vibrate her body at an extremely high rate, allowing her to phase through walls or slice metal with her bare hands. Furthermore, this vibration has the additional effect of softening impact and damage when used defensively.


 


In addition to that, Hebi is immune to vibrations, particularly those she creates. Her body is so intertwined with the rapid oscillations that vibrating herself at intense frequencies does not endanger or reduce her effectiveness is any way, and actually helps boost her abilities more. Thus, when something else attempts a vibration ability on her, it typically results in no effect. It should be also noted that the effects of vibrating machines are negligible on her, and that in some instances she’s can fulfill the same role just as well :smile3:​


 


Finally, Hebi is sensitive to vibrations in her environment, and with concentration is able to detect movement by examining the vibrating particles in the area around her with Tremor Sense. In some instances she’s also able to identify lies by listening to how a heart beats, and is able to use this ability in any environment.


 


Weaknesses: Although Hebi can use any part of her body as a medium for vibrations, her medium is also limited solely to her own body. She cannot directly vibrate any object other than her body, although she can use it as a means to transfer the vibrations to something else. Furthermore, her immunity to these vibrations only extends to direct applications on her own body. Thus, a vibrating attack that results in a shockwave or collapses another object on her would still be effective.


 


At present Hebi is only capable of generating 3 sounds simultaneously, each of which takes an exponentially greater toll on her magical reserves. For this reason she often needs to record or use instruments to create additional music for her performances. Not to mention that Hebi is only able to maintain intense vibrations for up to 1 minute, maximum. After that period she must rest for 1 minute before she can resume her vibrating, as although her body is immune, her magical reserves are not unlimited. This gives a short period where Hebi’s combat effectiveness is reduced when she lacks the dramatic boost that vibrating her body gives her. Nonetheless, she is still able to adjust the strength of her vibrations lower to last longer in an extended fight.


 


Besides that, Hebi’s Tremor Sense can also be used against her. She cannot detect what causes a vibration, and can thus be fooled by an acute opponent into following the wrong trail. Not only that, but a rapid mass of vibrations can blind her sense, and in sufficient numbers it can overwhelm her to the degree that she needs to numb her Tremor Sense.


 


Further, Hebi is only skilled enough in detecting vibrations on the floor to do it unconsciously. This means that avoiding floors and remaining in the air can evade her subconscious Tremor Sense, which allows for sneak attacks if she is unaware. However, with enough concentration Hebi is able to detect movement through the air, and is thus still able use her Tremor Sense in the air if she is aware of her target. Nonetheless it still requires intense concentration, making her vulnerable while she is doing so, and takes a period of up 10 seconds or more before she can spot the enemy. Moreover, her ground sense subconsciously extends to about 100 meters, able to be increased to 1 kilometer with concentration, while her air sense is limited to 30 meters at most. Her Tremor Sense in water can also be particularly effectivJae, although it is limited by the same faults, but can detect up to the same radius as her Tremor Sense on ground.


 


Finally, because her sense primarily detects movement, the lack of movement can make something invisible to her Tremor Sense, allowing for a clever opponent to conceal themselves from her with proper knowledge. She can still detect the miniscule movement of objects that are not completely still, as most objects are not, but it also requires an awareness of her target and a minimum of 20 seconds to find it.



tl;dr Hebi is an insatiably voracious Spirit who thrives in the center of attention, and uses a mastery of vibrations for deadly effects. Her defining quirks are her seductive presence, prowess with the performing arts, Popstar-like popularity, crazy girlfriend tendencies, and habit of manifesting thrones out of nowhere.


 


Dylan's Magic


Requip  (Weapons only)


He can change his weapons at a moment notice in only a few moment, due to not changing full body armor it is far quicker to switch his weapons.  He has several weapons ranging from pistols to even bazooka's.  There are other explosives in his Requip storage but namely filled with guns.  He is always adding new weapons to his storage, even weapons he will never end up using...ever. 


Guns Magic


With this magic he can change the effect his bullets have which allows him to do damage to different opponents of different weakness. He's still learning this magic so he's always searching for new affects.  Some of the spells he knows are.


Freezing Shot: Shots ice bullets at the enemy with the potential to freeze the area that hits


Inferno Bullets:  Incendiary rounds that can burn or even make the area catch on fire


Healing shot:  These make his bullet able to heal people that he shots, as these are just magic energy there is no pain and slowly heals those he shots


Rotting Barrage:  These bullets start to damage and rot what it hits this only works on non organic materials, they have no affect on organic things.


Sleeping shot:  These shots let out a gas that put the enemy to sleep if they inhale too much of it.


Magic shot:  Another support spell, these shots blast of pure magical energy, however rather than heal it gives the receiver a boast in magical power, or refills them, but not by much at his current stage


Bandage Magic


Using bandages he is able to grab pull and wrap up enemies, he can also use these bandages to wrap wounds if he wishes to.  These bandages can have effects much like his gun magic but he isn't aware of that yet.  Currently he can only use normal bandages for his spells.

Aditi has his keys as well as a sword on his hip that's more decoration than anything


Dylan has his guns, and explosives, and bigger guns


 


Proficiency: 


Aditi sword is there to put his whole look together.  He may use it in very desperate times that require self defense and for some reason he can't use his hands, however he is a complete armature with it.


Dylan is great with is guns, he has good aim and eye to trigger reflexes, he's an expert but not a master yet which he is trying to achieve.
