Brief description of life before apocalypse:
Adam lived a dull life, as a clerk. His mother, in Novosibirsk, sent him to America, in hopes to search for his father, who, 2 years prior, had cut connections with the family in Russia. He and 7 friends moved to America, first with the goal to find Adam's father, and then become good citizens. But of course, things went wrong. The kids, still in their 19s and 20s at that point, were given relative freedom, and began terrorizing the neighborhood, theft, robbery. One day, when Adam was 24, things went wrong. Police were waiting at their "big catch", a bank. 4 of the 7 friends were shot dead. 2 were wounded, Valentino included. Only Adam escaped the police's claws. He went into hiding in the rural countryside for 2 years, before deciding to change his name into something more... American. When the infection broke out, Adam saw that there was no point in the fake name anymore, and turned back into Adam Medvetyev. He went to his crew's old stash, and took the AKS-74U. A little gift from back home.
