While contemplating Check-In posts for each city, I ran into some functional issues that lead me to believe that having four separate posts could get somewhat messy. However, as a good majority of the roleplay voted in favor of them and on principle they seemed nice, I came to a compromise: a single Check-In post. The rationale is that if a single Check-In post can work as intended, then splitting it up into four might be worth the effort; or, on the other hand, potentially a single separate post from the Main OOC may do the job best. Either way, I do believe it is worth a shot.

So, here's goes! This General Activity Check-In has three main uses:

  1. To update your fellow players for a brief absence. The posting schedule thus far has been flexible, but I like to think of it as roughly one post per four days minimum (for active characters). Of course, some may not to get to post as frequently until they are tied deeper into the plot. This type of Check-In is for those that are already involved in a high-octane plot and whose absence may slow it down. This is a courtesy to fellow roleplayers and works best if you at least tag those you are in a scene with. No explanation is needed.

  2. To check on the status of a scene in progress. As we all know, sometimes things slow down. If you're curious as to why and you don't use the Discord channel or want to spam people PM's, ask why here! Ideally, someone will get back to you or chain it to someone whom does know. This will also probably work best if you tag the people in the scene.

  3. To figure out when, why or how your character might be put into the roleplay. To be blunt, this is often on me, @Sir Les Paul. I do most of the major plotting and I work my butt off to get people interacting. Sometimes, I don't always accomplish that in a timely manner. However, some of these processes can be autonomous and there are plenty of veteran roleplayers or members of the Staff that can help you out here. Posting here might get you a response from someone else that can help you - and I do encourage inter-player communication.
