Fantasy Academy For The Inhuman - Characters

Name:
Thyme Roman
Age:
15
Appearance:
390c38d5f63db71ccf59dccf3215bdf3.jpg

Race:

Kabaal
Gender:
Male
Personality:
Thyme (Ty) is a shy and nervous young man; his small stature and lanky build only accentuate this fact. He has a tendency to observe things from a far, with cold, analytical indifference; yet he often drags himself into conflicts when he's in a sour mood, by starting arguments. This goes to say, when Ty is unhappy or angry, his meek attitude turns to something passive aggressive, although not an initiator, when Ty feels like this he has a tendency to aggravate others to an almost exemplary degree.

Ty's 'moral compass' was often described by his old friends (none of which are attending the academy this year) rather favourably as a roulette wheel, shifting his stance on political and personal issues faster than the Conservative party back away from their promises.
Backstory:
Thyme Roman has lived a less than wondrous life, he moved to Manchester from Glasgow when he was very young, his family were an unassuming pair, for Kabaal atleast. Two of the warmest, and most homely people somebody could know. His parents were loving, caring for him through thick and thin as he grew up. They had their small fights, spats and arguments, but that's all they were, something accepted to be mundane in married life. Through his younger years, Ty had attended traditional human schools; his grades were good and his friends were fun to be around, yet he felt like he couldn't be quite bond with them. He liked them, of course he did, but he couldn't imagine loving them in a platonic way.

It was on his way home that he had heard news that one of his friends had been in a car accident, nothing horrendously serious, they'd be knocked of their bike and broken a bone or two; he'd wanted to just go
home, and said he'd head to the hospital some other time. The people that he called friends didn't take too kindly too it, hurling vulgar words at him, calling him out on how little he seemed to care. He didn't think they still thought of him as a friend now.

Before he got over the threshold to his home, an odd, balding but impeccably dressed man approached him, doing little more than smiling as he handed him an invitation to BlackRock academy before he seemed to simply fade away into fog and mist. Ty made a point of asking his parents about the note, whether it was just the actions of a creepy geriatric or an honest invitation. His parents merely smiled, like they'd been waiting for this, urging him to pack and go, but he better write back home when he got their.

TEAR
Extras:
  • Is scared of spiders and ghosts
  • Likes Nutella
  • Is used to spending too much time on the internet

Name: Thomas Emrick

Age: 17

Race: vampire

Gender: male

Personality: friendly, acts naive, very conscious of his powers despite the fact that he appears to ignore them

Backstory: Thomas was born to a noble family of vampires. He knew this. He knew he was the heir to the family fortune when he hit maturity. He knew he was supposed to carry on their legacy. He didn't really care. He grew up in the family's manor, his parents keeping him from the dangers of the world. One day a bird flew into his room, a small raven. He befriended the bird who would bring him newspapers from the nearby towns. He wanted nothing more than to leave his family's manor as he found it quite boring. So when he got an invitation to a school and was magically teleported there, he could not have been happier to accept.

Extras: he has a pet crow named Henry

Backstory: Thomas was born to a noble family of vampires. He knew this. He knew he was the heir to the family fortune when he hit maturity. He knew he was supposed to carry on their legacy. Is there anyway you could add more detail to your characters backstory?

yeah, sorry I was kinda writing on the fly and on my phone. I kinda figured that, because I hate typing on my phone, I'd leave it simple and flesh it out more in the actual rp, but if you need me to I can add more

Name: Keaton Moondancer
Age: 17
Appearance: 91mczl.jpg
Race:
Akashi (Mother--Animal Spirit, Father--Human)
Gender: Male
Personality: Acts pretty carefree, grins wolfishly in response to comments on his race or appearance, even if it was actually hurtful. He tries not to let it bother him, tries to stay positive, but when his tolerance snaps, he loses his ability to think rationally for a time as his instincts fully take over. This mainly occurs in the presence of vampires.
Backstory: Keaton grew up in a hunting cabin just outside a small village. His parents assured him this was the safest place for a mixed family to live. His father, an adept hunter, taught him how to fish, shoot a bow (he learned early on that the loud guns were not for him) and determine which plants were safe to use as food and medicine. When he was young, Keaton found these lessons boring and begged to be allowed to go to the village and play with other children. His parents always told him no, that it was too dangerous for him to be discovered, but one day, when his parents were busy with fixing the cabin after a bad storm, he snuck out. Just for a few minutes, just to talk to someone he wasn't related to. His venture... Did not go well, to say the least. Let's just say, it ended with pitchforks and being run out of the village, followed by desparate sobbing in his mother's lap and a promise to never go near that village again. Though the family did eventually move in with his mother's older brother so Keaton could find friends among other monsters. After all, not all monsters hated hybrids. Just most of them.
((Aaaaand I think that's more than enough from me. Sorry it got kind of out of hand in the length department. ^_^; ))

Name: Sreko Tomic

Age: 18

Appearance:
_n_o_w_a_r_xiao_xie_by_junefeier-d399xb0.jpg

Race: Greater Daemon

Gender: Male

Personality: Sreko is a friendly and warm individual. He is usually very casual and easy-going. But in addition he is calculating and observant. He always seems to know the right moment to pull out of a situation before it goes sour, as he is involved in most shenanigans but has almost never been the one to get caught.
When he gets frustrated or angry he still keeps a calm demeanor, although his tone changes to a deep inhuman growl.
He is also not a squeemish fellow as he is perfectly fine discussing topics like death and destruction. He even gets a kick out of it. Though many would agree, too much of a kick.

Backstory: Like all greater demons Sreko was born from a major sin. And the sin he was born from was particularly bad. The 1999 massacre of Albanians in Meja. From the moment of his creation he lusted for death but instead of falling into the hands of other daemon, he was picked up by two humans who were aware of the inhuman things in the world. They would adopt him, raise him and teach him things that were contrary to his very existence. As a result, Sreko was incredibly rebellious growing up. He did not hesitate to rip the card when he recieved it.

Extras:
-Sreko can fluently speak english, serbian and albanian.
-Hates water.
-Can't swim.

Name:
Lira Acadi Ithella
Age:
15
fourteenth_of_the_hill_by_cg_zander-da72yhw.jpg
White Ferret named Artemis
little-white-ferret-sue-chisholm.jpg
Race:
Magi are a genetic ancestor of modern day Humans. A split off from the normal Homo Sapiens Sapiens, Magi are physically very similar to Humans. The main notable difference exists in the vibrancy and general appearance of the eyes. Magi can have a wider range of eye colors than Humans, and the patterns of the iris dance about like tiny glowing wisps. This is understandably easy for Humans to either ignore altogether, or explain away as a trick of the light. The other main physical difference is the potency of their blood. Clearly not visible to Humans, this doesn't tend to cause most Magi problems in their day to day lives. That said, their blood has throughout history made for a much higher rate of kidnappings and murders, especially from Vampires or any other supernatural race that may have a use for such mana-rich blood.

They have the ability to cast many different spells through a wand or similar focus. Many have small familiars like a ferret, cat, or a bird to aid in their potency. The most common type of casting involves circles. These are brightly glowing circles that spread out from a central point, be that their focus or their feet/hands. They are incredibly powerful, versatile spell-casters who have a variety of uses, but they are notoriously difficult to teach. Magi students are like ants to lions when comparing them to their elders.

Magi live long lives, and while there is technically no limit to how long the mana in their blood may keep them youthful and healthy, many Magi pass away after the 1,500 year mark due to a lack of will to go on. This is not always the case, however, and some of the most well respected Magi, though extremely youthful in appearance, are thousands upon thousands of years old and scarily powerful.
Gender:
Female
Personality:
Lira is a tense individual. She looks old for her age, and the demeanor she puts off exudes maturity. She has to be thoughtful of her actions, after all. She's a socialite, despite her stress and insecurities, and wants nothing more than to be accepted as part of a larger group. At home, she'd spend time with Human friends who of course knew nothing of her arcane abilities. She looked normal, she did her damnedest to act normal. Hopefully at this new school she could act more naturally, open up a little and take off the mask.
Backstory:
Born into a longstanding family of Magi, Lira is no stranger to the strange or bizarre sides of the world. Her family, both close and extended, have run a sort of magical clinic for the supernatural creatures in the area. Healers, her family's equivalent of "you should become a doctor," and it was equally annoying for her. She, in typical teenager fashion, wanted nothing to do with healing-

Well that wasn't entirely true. She wanted to know how to heal, how to help instead of hinder, how to harness abilities for everyone's benefit... but that wasn't good enough. She, for as long as she could remember, was stuck going to Human school.

Talk about feeling like everything is made out of cardboard.

This opportunity? There was no way she could pass up this paper that practically screamed of magical energy. Ripping it, that was even better. Screw it. If her parents were mad, they could be mad later. Here, she could actually learn. Explore. Grow for once in her life thus far!

Lira didn't think about the fact that the only supernatural people she had seen outside of her family had been those in pain... And while she could probably recite the biology of a Kabaal like students recite the national anthem of their country... she had absolutely no idea how any of them interacted socially.

Que the stress.
Extras:
  • Has a fascination with the auras of different people and especially different races.
  • Loves fictional novels.
  • Dislikes immature people.

Race: vampire
Gender: male
Appearance:B660124C-C0AD-4247-BC25-3A90B7684D54.jpeg

Backstory: Alucard being the opposite of Alex grew up in a good family that values purity of blood over everything, being given his uncles first name out of respect for his age and wisdom. Alucard may be good at sports but by no means is he a fool. Alucard doesn’t have to try hard in class and his intellect makes him feel a bit more superior to everyone else. He doesn’t start fights though, but he does finish them. Aside from his school work he spends most of his time helping others with their studies or toying with Alex who he treated somewhat like a pet or his cub.
