History: Elena grew up in a household with her father and her older brother. Her mother passed away when they were young from a type of cancer. Her brother was only a year older than her, so they were always very close and had the same friend group. They were always together, until one morning Elena had woken up to find out that her brother had never made it home that night. They had went to the championship football game for their highschool, but Elena had stayed home because she wasn’t feeling that well. It was said that her brother and three others of their friends had somehow driven the car off the bridge and into the lake below. Elena had broken down after the loss of her brother, so had her father. Elena’s dad broke down and pushed everyone away, including Elena. He would spend most of his time working at his car repair shop that he owned and was barely home, leaving Elena to take care of everything at home. She also pulled away from her friends and focused her time into her Aunts diner that she had worked at. Though for her brother’s and her friend memories, Elena helped plan a celebration of life for them that happens every year on the day that they died. It’s usually held at Elena’s Aunts diner. To this day, Elena still works at the diner and helps her aunt run it. She refused to move away for school and leave her dad alone. She does take some classes online, hoping to one day becoming veterinarian.

Personality: Noah is very playful, and loves joking around. He is always laughing at something, and enjoys making other people laugh too. History: Noah had his future mapped out for him from a young age. His father would always take him to work with him when he had a chance, letting Noah see what would one day be his. When he was younger, Noah loved the idea of one day working with dad at his repair shop and being a part of a family business. It wasn’t until Noah got older that he realized how much he was missing out on, already having his future planned out for him. He was jealous of his friends who were planning which university or college program they were going to, and that they could plan their own future. He had tried to talk with his dad about wanting to look at something else for his future, but it just ended in a fight. Whenever Noah tried to talk about it, he and his dad would just end up arguing, causing a lot of stress in their household. When it got closer to the end of their senior year Noah finally couldn’t take it anymore. He did not want to be stuck in Acadia Valley, at his dad’s business forever. He made a plan to leave and get out of the small town forever. At first, he had just planned to run away, but somehow a few of his friends had found out that he was going to leave and wanted to do the same thing. Knowing that it would look of if they all left, and that they would be harder to find, Noah planned a way for them to fake an accident so no one would go looking for them. He had been happy at first, but as the years went by, he continuously missed his father and his sister. He realized the being out on his own and having his own choices weren’t what he expected it to be. Everything had been amazing at first, it got harder for them to live. Not being able to get a decent paying job, Noah eventually ended up working at a car repair shop anyway, that is nowhere as great as his dads company. Realizing he made a mistake, Noah decided that it was time to return back to his home town, and explain the truth about what really happened.

Personality:​

Brea is a very intelligent girl, as her parents would accept nothing less. She doesn't usually crack under pressure, since she's used to it at home. Exams and tests don't bother her; she'll probably ace it anyway. Helping out at her parents jobs (and school, of course) helped her obtain social skills so she's not awkward around people. Fake it til you make it is a quote she lives by, because she's forced to sit there and smile and act like everything is okay even when it isn't. Her first relationship didn't last long once her parents found out, and though she was heartbroken about ending it, she had to keep face and not let it show. She's honest when asked a question, although she has been known to bend the truth when it comes to the question how are you. Her pride is her downfall; she wants to be independent, and hates asking for help.

Bio:​

Brea grew up sweet, innocent and more than a little naive. Her mother runs a high class fashion agency, while her father is in charge of a high tech pharmaceutical company. Both of them were busy with their work, but when little Brea came along, her mother took a break to take care of her while their father focused on his job (and of course Brea when he was able). She didn't want or need for anything while growing up, that wasn't the problem. The problem was that as Brea got older, the more pressure they put on their daughter. If she didn't get perfect grades in school, she was punished. If she was late home by even a minute, she was punished. She took advanced classes as soon as she was able, and she applied for literally every college they could think of. She would help them both out at work, and get quizzed randomly on her knowledge at home. The pressure was too much; she didn't think she could be what they wanted her to be anymore. That's why she chose to run.

Brea has changed her appearance drastically in the time she's been gone. She got tattoos and piercings and goes through hair dye like there's no tomorrow. It was mostly a fuck you to the parents she didn't expect to return to. Now she's returning with her friends, and while she's not excited about her family and friends finding out she's alive, she really not excited to see their judgemental looks.

for more than one reason, really. people looked down on him when they found out he'd attempted suicide and had spent that so-called 'vacation' in a mental hospital. his music career, the one he'd sworn would make him a star, didn't seem to be taking off despite his hard work and late nights in the studio.

it was all so shameful for someone as weighed down with pride as lucien. no wonder he couldn't stay...​

the life story

born during a cheesy halloween party, lucien's parents really should've seen it coming. no amount of tutoring or private school could make him 'normal', and they eventually surrendered and allowed him to attend public school. of course, he never really stopped stirring up trouble. it was mostly typical teenage stuff, except the fact he was severely depressed and attempted suicide at age 15. his family was understandably distraught, and sent him away to the best facility money could buy for 'treatment'. this only made him bitter and untrusting, and lucien moved out only a few days after his 16th birthday. having led a fairly sheltered life, he struggled for a while before finally securing a reasonably nice apartment and learning street smarts the hard way through trial-and-error.

now a know-it-all who seems cynical beyond his years, lucifer, as his fans and friends call him, has developed his natural charisma and has a way of staying in your mind, especially if you're a fan of his music. he spends the majority of his nights playing alone in smoky bars for minimal payment, and while he's mostly accepted his fate, there's still a pathetically optimistic part of him that thinks he'll make it big one day.

when not performing, he offers to teach kids the basics of guitar and lyric writing for minimal payment. lucien considers music one of the most important things in life, and feels that everyone deserves a chance to enjoy and create it.​

the attitude​

"i'm just as devious and irresistible as the nickname suggests, but you already knew that."

if you were to ask a middle-school misfit what they wanted to be when they grew up, lucien wynters might have come to mind... at least superficially. a rebel who's long since mastered the art of sarcastic one-liners and casual indifference, one could be forgiven for thinking he was nothing more than a shallow fantasy.

a relatively unknown musician, lucien is used to getting a bit of attention and knows how to please his fans with his carefree attitude and sarcastic quips. he comes off as flirty sometimes without meaning to, and can be a touch reckless at times... not that he doesn't regret it later. despite this, he isn't really the party type and has no desire to get wasted or wake up passed out on a floor somewhere. he does, however, take great pride in his ability to tease and torment those who do.

mysterious in nature and extremely introverted, those who manage to fully break through lucien's carefully-crafted bad boy persona may end up being quite disappointed. he's truly a pessimistic individual, something he disguises with witty banter and a knack for morbid jokes, yet fails to hide completely.

though years of depression have left both literal and figurative scars, the sadness hasn't been able to dim lucien's passion for music and the creepy, obscure things in life. he has an odd talent for finding the strange and unusual, something he's more than happy to share with friends and enemies alike.

even without his bold persona, he's far from being truly antisocial. lucien values friendship, and while anything but extroverted, he'll open up a lot more around people he trusts and may even drop the apathetic act entirely.​

Val was born in Houston, Texas and she lived with her single mother. Her mother, Sofia, was an alcoholic who was severely depressed. Her husband had abandoned her and her baby and she settled into a deep depression. Val had to learn to take care of herself and others. She couldn't just let her mother go on like that and let her neglect her own physical needs. She learned to cook and clean and she had to learn to stand up for herself and not just take anything anyone said.

One day, Sofia just couldn't take it anymore. She became infuriated and the whole situation was not good. Val ended up being bruised on her left shoulder blade with a permanent mark. CPS became involved after a neighbor reported it and she was placed with her aunt, Isabel, who lived in San Antonio. Val was only 6 years old when this happened and while she doesn't remember every detail, it stayed in her mind for years.

Her aunt Isabel was amazing to her, even Val became a problematic child. She developed anger issues and got into fights during her years in elementary school. Her grades were lacking, but even then, her aunt was nothing but supportive and guided her niece in the right direction. She helped Val with her homework and tried to explain things the best she could if she didn't understand it. When she got into middle school, she began to thrive with her creativity and thinking outside the box and truly regretted the hard time she gave her aunt when she was younger. She wanted to get good grades and get into different clubs to make her aunt proud and see how far she had come from being a difficult child to a more mature and rational 12-year-old.

Val and her aunt moved from San Antonio to Acadia Valley. It was a long move, but the small town was wonderful. She had made many friends because of her laid back and unassuming personality. She had become more outgoing than she was before, although she was always on the quiet side. She got along well with most people and was well acquainted with many.

From there, life had gone downhill. She had been involved in an abusive relationship. She felt herself getting immersed back into the wrong crowd, smoking cigarettes and drinking illegally with "friends", partying until the sun came up and passing out. She liked it at that moment in time, but it wasn't her. She wasn't a reckless party girl but became an obsessive adrenaline junkie. She knew that she couldn't do it forever and if she didn't stop and change her self-destructive behaviors, it would have detrimental effects sooner or later. When Val was just 16 years old, she had gone out with a small group of friends. They were going to a football championship game for their school. It was going to be her first one and she was excited about it. They planned to fake an accident and as the idea was creative and sounded like it would work, she went along with it.

During the five years when she was gone, Val had become a web developer for a growing company. While she wasn't very passionate about it, it paid well and she was able to go to treatment for her nicotine addiction and therapy after her verbally abusive relationship. She showed great progress and was able to get back to having a fairly normal life. She began to save money to go to college as she wanted to become a graphic designer. Val was living a good life with a healthy salary and more than enough money to live on her own, but she felt extremely lonely without her aunt. They hadn't spoken since the "accident" and she finally worked up the courage to decide to go back to town and own up to what really happened.

Personality:
Before everything happened Dani was sheltered, naive, but was a hard worker and was extremely intelligent. Afterwards, she kept her hardworking nature, her athleticism and her intelligence but decided she needed to be more carefree, have some more fun.
Even though the girl was more carefree sometimes she was a bit serious and was careful about not getting in trouble, still having her 'good girl' side to her that she could never fully lose. ​

Bio:
Dani was the good girl with an amazing future ahead of her; on her way to get a swimming scholarship, always had perfect grades, never broke a single rule. She was the perfect girl until she wasn't. A couple of assholes from one of her classes noticed the perfect girl and decided to jostle her around, in a way the girl never imagined. One of them had asked her to come over, to help tutor him, of course Dani didn't have a problem helping out. When she got to the boys house it didn't take long to realize that he didn't actually want to study, the swimmer getting over powered by the three boys and being assaulted. The boys kept telling her no one would believe her, that she would look like a liar.
After that day the girl didn't feel so perfect, and she didn't act so perfect either; she let parts of her life fall off: drifting away from her boyfriend, her friends, only really swimming and watching movies. She didn't want the life that had been laid out in front of her anymore and she didn't want to stay in this town where the memories of her attack remained. She wanted to be free and just do what she wanted for awhile, experience things and not be so sheltered and innocent anymore. Her problem? She had no escape. If she told her parents she didn't want her scholarship who knows what they'd do, plus she was under the impression if she told them about the assault they wouldn't believe her and everything would just get worse.
Thats around the time she had found out about the plan from her couple classmates, faking their own deaths... sounded just crazy enough to work.

Description: Aria is generally a quiet person, and doesn't necessarily like to talk about herself or her past life. She moved to the town just as she was starting high school, and quickly made friends with those who stayed. Of the group, Aria is the most likely to keep to herself, often found playing her guitar or drawing. She had a traumatic past that her brother saved her from, and so she often times has panic attacks or anxious episodes. Many often think that Aria is sad, but really she's just in her own little world. When her friends died, Aria didn't seem affected, and her personality didn't change. But inside, she was incredibly sad and depressed, often drowning her sorrows in a bottle of wine.

Biography:

History: Aria and her brother spent the majority of their lives in the downtrodden parts of New York City. Her father was an abusive drunk who molested her and her mother was a drug addict. Once the state found out about the terrible conditions Aria and her brother were living in, they quickly took them away and placed them in foster homes. She never stayed in one home for too long, as she was always considered the trouble maker. Aria would trick other kids into acting out in order to get something she wanted, like dessert, keys to the family car, and even alcohol. Her brother wasn't too fond of these situations, but knew that Aria was just dealing with what happened to them. So he let it go.

When Aria turned fifteen, her brother turned eighteen and thus was considered an adult by the state. He quickly filed the paperwork to adopt Aria and get them both out of the system. He became her legal guardian, and began providing for them, moving so Aria could go to a high school to start fresh. Now, the pair of them live in a small two-bedroom apartment in the not-so-nice part of town. Aria works as a bartender in a local pub, where she uses her good looks to get extra tips. She also busks on the streets for a bit of extra cashThey barely make it by, but the siblings love each other and make it work.

History:
Luca went through much of the same past that his sister went through. But because he was the brother, he was stronger and thus his father and mother didn't mess with him as much as they did with Aria. Luca tried his best to protect his little sister, but he didn't find out about the rape until she was much older. Luca blames himself for that everyday. Once they were in foster care, Luca did everything in his power to protect his sister from their foster parents, other kids, and the system. That's why he chose to adopt her as soon as he turned 18. Being her guardian has its ups and downs, as Luca doesn't know how to exactly deal with her mental episodes. He wasn't as traumatized by their childhood, and therefore doesn't have the same problems as she does. But he tries his hardest to be the best big brother to Aria, He works as an IT Expert for a local hospital, and makes decent money from it.

Personality: Mutt can be judgmental and cruel, displaying an excessively critical point of view. However, he is wise beyond his years. Sure, he can be a major asshole who usually feels no pain for the harm he brings to others. He's alert, though, and responds shrewdly to every situation. When with his friends, the only people he truly cares about, he is fun-loving and daring. He's adventurous and boldly unconventional. To everyone else, though, he's the brooding prick who's full of mystery. Very good at keeping secrets, not many people in town know about him or his past. So when he disappeared, it didn't seem to phase many people. The only people who really cared about him took off with him.

History: By the time Mutt was born, his only sibling was out of the house. Though his parents were amazing people, and though his sister came to visit often, Mutt couldn't help but feel extremely lonely. When Mutt entered high school, he finally found a group of friends that made him extremely happy. He was no longer lonely. However, when Mutt was fifteen, something unbearable happened. His mother was driving his sister to the airport when a drunk driver collided with them head-on, instantly killing them both. Mutt fell into a deep depression, one that even his closest friends couldn't pull hm out of. So when they proposed a fake accident that would allow them to run away and start over, Mutt was all for it. He thought that getting out of town would allow him to forget all about his mother and sister. He was also sure that the town would just eat up the irony of him dying in a car accident. At first, being out in the real world was great. But when his friends suggested that they go back, Mutt was slightly relieved to go back. He wanted to see his father and sleep in his old bed. However, what he doesn't know is that his father suffered from a major heart attack only a year ago. A fatal heart attack.
