Using http://fixalted.bazzalisk.org/index.php?title=Character_Generation_&_Advancement and a 500 XP build. We are not doing flat rate XP. Also, the total XP cost for Essence is wrong on that page. It should be 16 for Essence 3, 40 for Essence 4, and 72 for Essence 5. Just as normal XP costs are.
Lunars follow Solar XP costs. Knacks are 6 XP each.

Yes, you may use all the meta-knowledge at your disposal. This includes the location of the Jade Prison, the Great Curse, and anything else you can ravage from the books.
