2291. Who won the second war of Hoover Dam? Well, they say it was a person named 'The Courier'. Course that weren't their actual name, but there aren't many people who could give you the real name. Some say that a few years ago, back east, in some place called 'The Commonwealth', a group called The Institute emerged after centuries of hiding underground. They made these things called 'Synths', some mix of metal and flesh that couldn't be told different from any other guy or gal who crossed them. Some say they've started popping up here, and people haven't been to happy about that. It sounds like the rest of the world is doing worse than it is here.
Here? Well, it's just another night in New Vegas. Hookers enticing mercs and traders to share a night with them. crimes against the poor fools gambling their money away at the tables, and lives unfolding in a city full of vice and sin. Wherever you come from, and for whatever reason you're here, you can be sure that all you need is luck, time, and a pocketful of caps.
