a bit about me

where i am, what i do —

i'm in wales (uk) so operate in the BST timezone! not that timezones matter much to me, but obviously someone with a similar one is always a treat. i was a history teacher for several years, am now working in school admin instead temporarily so i could mentally/physically recover from the craziness of teaching.

roleplay style —

i can write multi-paragraph/novella replies where necessary - but sometimes a couple of detailed paragraphs and well-crafted dialogue suffices though, i tend to match the pace of my partner but i won't force words, quality over quantity! my post frequency really depends on how busy i am, so i'm weary to give a minimum amount - i reckon one every couple of days as a rough estimate

i enjoy —

romance featuring in our story but not being the only element, character flaws, dark themes, slice of life fluffliness where it's appropriate, planning key moments, building the world

i don't enjoy —

rushing responses, passive aggression, not having any kind of ooc communication

non-negotiable —

partners being 18+ but preferably 21+, being able to handle a roleplay petering out/ideas falling flat and moving on (it happens, i've done it, people have done it to me)

i'm basically looking for my reflection! someone who loves creating a good story, character development, helps build plot, can mirror responses and values quality writing!

other preferences —

i do like character sheets but they don't have to be mega detailed necessarily, and i'm not a fan of anime-style character image references but if it fits the vibes then that's okay!

fantasy ideas.

duty bound —

a romance-driven plot in a lord of the rings-style fantasy world - an idea i've wanted to get off the ground for some time, just haven't found a partner, the details are listed here

dnd style adventuring —

i have several dnd characters that i'd love to play against your dnd characters, for romance/adventure storylines, happy to take the lead with worldbuilding/plot as i've got access to tons of dnd stuff - you can find my characters via this link

historical ideas.

early 1900s england aristocracy/servants —

been rewatching downton abbey and would love to have something full of ocs in a similar set-up, think an upper-class gentry family and their servants, i can help with the hierarchy side of things and historical details - would be very interesting to do the lead-up to the first world war and then the war itself! maybe a focus on two or three couple dynamics within the house and their wider social circle?

1940s wartime —

just vibing with the era really, either focusing on blitz london or a countryside village - maybe an evacuation storyline from the perspective of the adults affected? not sure what i'm going for here, but wartime britain is interesting to me!

don't think i'll ever stop searching for someone who could play 10 for me. got loads of 'episode' ideas.
