Fandom A medicine cat’s loyalty

Moonpetal sorted herbs collected that day, when she smelled something rotten, and flicked her tail in worry. Leaf-bare was starting to come closer and prey was already running scarce. The clan was going hungry, and other clans too, according to what other medicine cats had said at the halfmoon meet. Twolegs had started to slowly encroach on the territories, and it had driven prey off. Moonpetal had repeatedly told her clan to only eat the good parts of the prey, but knew that some, especially the apprentices, were too hungry to heed her words.

SiverFall puked for about the third time at the tom's feet, the elder's grimy fur highlighted in the medicine den's darker atmosphere. The huge huge brown tom groaned at the mess in his den, but it was mostly covered by the sounds of painful moans and whines of deep aches that echoed though out not only the sick den but also the secluded parts of shadowclan camp.

"...Sorry." the gray and brown cat muttered, crouched to look smaller at MuckFlower's feet, hoping to look humble in the brown cat's eyes. The maned cat did nothing but step over the older tom to reach his diminishing herb shelves, knowing he'd only order his newest apprentice to clean up the vomit.

Despite the borage only being a few foxtails away, the large tom struggled to maneuver through the densely packed den, the smell of sickness and fluids stunk the air as he stepped over the pained bodies of half-alive clanmates. He sometimes wondered if the other clans have gotten this bad, struggling to differentiate dying patients from corpses, the thought process dissociating him from the grotesque sights and smells.

As he counted the blue flowers in storage to pass to aching cats, he thought of when the two legs came, striking shadowclan first with their terrible new breed of monsters with claws and teeth eating the forest. They hoped they would leave, but the clan had been pushed closer and closer to its borders with no end in sight as boxed nests rose in place of their fallen home.

"MuckFlower?" a sudden tired voice commanded over the sounds of the dying, the leader's eyes impossibly heavy. The muscularly white tom, PaleStar, asked with his exhausted gaze about the health of his patients, of the remaining left alive and long they would have, and how long shadowclan would have.

The brown and orange tom simply shook his head at PaleStar, knowing better to tell the hard truth than to lie about the well-being of loved ones and friends.

"It's not good."

Moonpetal went to the apprentices den to check on foolish, young cats. They weren´t yet in bad enough condition to need to be in the medicine den, and it would hopefully stay that way. Thunderclan was only starting to be infringed on, but Moonpetal knew sickness would soon arise within the clan as the monsters got closer.

The apprentices were strong, and would likely pull through as long as sickness didn´t strike. She padded over to Foxpaw´s nest, carefully nosing the small red apprentice over. At the start of Moonpetal´s apprenticeship, Foxpaw was born a runt of the litter. She was constantly in and out of the medicine den with colds, worrying the entire clan. Moonpetal and Foxpaw developed an easygoing, playful relationship over the moons, though the fiery apprentice was still frail in health. If sickness struck badly within the clan, Foxpaw would likely not pull though.

A hunting patrol entered the hollow, their rough pelts clinging to them. For the first time in a while, there was no crowfood, but instead fresh prey. The nursery and elders were fed first, then a warrior gave Moonpetal a mouse. The white she-cat split up the mouse between the apprentices and went back to the medicine den.

The pale tom began to take the medicine cat outside of the den to the privacy of the deep burrow of leader’s resting place, away from the unpleasant noises of sickness. As MuckFlower stepped over the bodies however, he was stopped by a white she-cat spotted by fawn tics in her fur.

The medicine cat paused at his apprentice’s appearance, Cloverpaw looked slim, her fur frazzled by stressed, as her muzzled was stuffed with herbs. He pushes the little she-cat aside to reach the entrance, eyeing the apprentice with authority.

“Silverfall puked in the den. Clean it before I come back, make sure to clean your paws after.” He instructed, distant from Clowerpaw from all the apprentices that came before her. She silently whines at the task but doesn’t talk back.

Palestar leads Muckflower along, the two muttering matters about the situation and possible solution for the plague.

Shadowclan was valuable, with no other options, Palestar began to suggest seeking help during the gathering.

Muckflower didn’t warm up to the idea.

The gathering was in only two days, Hopefully, the clans would all be well enough to attend.

¨Moonpetal!¨ Dawnwhisker came tumbling into the den before continuing, ¨Blacknose is sick!¨ Her mew was frantic. Moonpetal immediately jumped up and followed the she-cat to where the tom was, in his nest wheezing. Moonpetal ordered Dawnwhisker to go get Rosestar.

Blacknose was a broad tom, but right now looked fragile and small. Moonpetal checked him over, and was alarmed to smell sickness flooding heavily from his pelt. This wasn´t just a little cough. Moonpetal nudged the tom lightly with her nose, and Blacknose was unresponsive other than a low grumble. Rosestar rushed into the den and took in the scene. Thunderclan was going to have to deal with more than bellyaches soon.

“-I’m sorry, I just don’t think they’ll just give us resources Palestar.” Muckflower counters the leader, doubting the other clan’s kindness considering their views on Shadowclan.

“What other options do we have?” Palestar snapped back, his desperation seeping though his voice.

The medicine cat stood silent in the leader’s den, the quiet from the camp’s noise now becoming uncomfortable.

“…with or without you’re blessing Muckflower, I’ll be asking for help at the gathering. Shadowclan needs it.” The leader whispered in a hushed tone, growing grim in the situation.

Muckflower knew shadowclan needed help, but didn’t believe the other clan capable of providing. Palestar would only humiliate their home further, as the brown tom knew their only way to get the land they need was to take it.

The manes tom sighed at the pale cat’s foolishnesses, his paws dragging back to help Cloverpaw tend illnesses and pain that stricken their clan mates.

Rosestar was pacing around her den, while Moonpetal sat, watching her leader. It was the day of the gathering. Several more cats had gotten sick within the clan. Shadowclans border markers were increasingly getting staler, as if they were not sending patrols. Meanwhile, Windclan had increased their markers to almost the point of aggression.

The group to the gathering would be smaller than usual. Rosestar had to try and find a number of cats that wasn't too many that the sick cats would be left unguarded, but also not too little where the other clans would see weakness. It was good that the clan had many cats, but it made them hard pressed for food during leafbare.

Rosestar and Moonpetal checked on the sick cats one more time before leaving with warriors to go to the gathering.

Muckflower scowled at Palestar as he walked the hard ramp ground, the small group of warriors they brought parting the fog. The land smelt of wet dog, clogging the cat’s senses with it’s musk.

The Shadowclan warriors walked as if carrying boulder’s on their shoulders, the plague taking away loved ones and friends. They’re eyes were harden, but their bodies tired from the emotional toll and caring for the clan by themselves.

Cloverpaw trotted shyly besides the huge brown tom, having to beg the medicine cat to come along to the gathering. He thought it best she stay put to tend to the clan, but the white- she cat’s fussing breaks him.

The shaded cat emerge from the twisted woods, fog stretching to reach the lake. They make heavy steps crossing a fallen oak, the cat’s dark pelts now highlighting them amongst the sunlight.

Shadowclan is one of the last to reach the gathering, no warrior edger to mingle with the other clans and almost all sticking to themselves.

Muckflower looks to join his clan mate’s sidelines, looking up to Palestar climbing up to the twisted branch of a bald tree amongst the leaders. Rosestar, thunderclan’s pampered chief, sits on a strong oak, Locusstar, Windclan’s paranoid leader, sitting stiff on a willow’s base, and riverclan’s head, Goosestar, resting lazily on a marsh tree.

Muckflower was about to rest from the journey, but spots Cloverpaw pacing to mingle with other medicine cat apprentices of the clans.

The brown cat groans, making way through the crowd to the healer’s stone out of courteous.

Moonpetal shuffles her paws anxiously, waiting for the gathering to start. Shadowclan just arrived, looking worse off than the rest of the cats there. Even in numbers, they had only brought a few cats. Muckflower made his way over to Moonpetal, but sat down away from her and the other cats. His apprentice, on the other hand, was bouncing around the medicine cats. Moonpetal was the only one without an apprentice, and the youngest of the full fledged medicine cats.

"Let the gathering begin!" Rosestar yowled into the group of cats. The cats didn't take long to get settled. Other than the medicine cats, the clans stayed separated. The leaders took turns expressing the conditions of hunting, along with concerns for how the monsters have been affecting the clans. Palestar was the last to speak. What the leader said shocked all of the clans, it was a plea for help.

Moonpetal jolted slightly and her tail bushed out. Palestar was known to be a prideful leader, for him to be begging for help from the other clans, things must be very bad in Shadowclan. Moonpetal tried to meet Muckflowers eyes, but the brown tom was staring at his paws, clearly disagreeing with his leader.

“Shadowclan needs prey, herbs, resources… We need land.” Palestar spoke clearly, causing discussion amongst the clans. The leaders shuffle closer together, seeming to whisper to one another with the white Tom in the center.

Muckflower stared on in the crowd, his gaze harden at the rising murmur in disagreement, staring at no cat in particular. The large tom stood tall amongst the healers, trying to hide the fact he thought Shadowclan would have better luck simply taking the land they needed.

He tried to distract himself from the growing sting of jealousy in his heart, as the healers and clan’s whisper of Shadowclan condition. He was sure that their lives went by relatively unaffected by the two-legs coming, while his home was stolen and replaced by their own nest like bees chased out by hornets.

He quietly seethed at the unfairness of it, Shadowclan always getting the short end of the stick. He flexed his claws into the stone before quickly saving face.

While Palestar was willing to sacrifice the only thing they had left, dignity, he’ll be as behaved as possible unless prompted not to.

Moonpetal knew that if one clan fell, the others would follow. Cats mewed among themselves in shock. A clan leader asking for help like this was almost unheard of.

"Shadowclan is just trying to steal our territory!" A cat in the crowd meowed, loudly enough for all cats to hear. A quick hiss from Shadowclan followed, along with a yelp of pain. Clouds started quickly drifting over the moon.

Moonpetal was right next to the brawl that took place. She braced herself, before weaving her way between the cats in hopes to stop the fight. Claws cuffed the side of her shoulder as she took a hit meant for another cat. Moonpetal smelled Shadowclan and Windclan from the two cats.

Moonpetal had gotten between two very large, very angry warriors. "Starclan is displeased! Please stop!" She mewed desperately to them. She got a growl from the Windclan warrior in return, while the Shadowclan warrior saw sense and quickly got a hold of himself.

Amberstar hissed and glared at her warrior until the brawny, black she-cat sullenly padded back over to her clan. Muckflower nosed the warrior from his own clan over, then turned to Moonpetal. Moonpetal had a long scratch along her shoulder; it hurt, but could wait until the gathering ended to be tended to.

Rosestar exchanged a long look with her medicine cat. Moonpetal nodded, agreeing with her leaders silent words.
Rosestar stepped forward, tail raised high, and said for all to hear, "We will supply Shadowclan with herbs."

Moonpetal sat, relieved, that her leader was willing to help another clan. Palestar dipped his head in thanks, while Muckflower practically burned a hole into her fur with his glare.

Muckflower stood still on the healer’s stone, looking up to the skylight as clouds stormed the night like fiery smoke.

The brown cat’s nose wrinkled when a random Windclan cat exclaimed with a paranoid yelp of shadowclan’s trickery. He felt as a pale she-cat left the healer’s stone to race a break up the fight as cat’s yowled into the clouded sky.

He made no effort to move, seeing as whatever wounds came to the warriors where well earned and simply observed as he inches closer to the dispute. He walked at his leisure appearing before the worrying medicine cat with a gaping wound.

‘‘Tch..” the Tom thought as the she-cat hissed at her wound, feeling bitter at the thunderclan cat need to fix everything. He refused to look at the the she-cat, not wanting to give her the attention she dragged to her.

As amberstar yowled at her warriors, Palestar simply glaring at his own for them to lower their heads and step back with amongst clan mates.

“We will supply Shadowclan with herbs.” Rosestar announced into the clearing, her place on oak sturdy.

He looked to Palestar, the Tom looking ashamedly at his feet. Muckflower looked to the tom in disapproval, seeing this as only a way for Thunderclan yet again be a center of every dispute.

He sighed frustrated before making his way to his clan mates to glance at their cuts and scratches in their coats. He would time to tend to them when they reached camp.

The gathering was quickly dismissed after the fight. Moonpetal stayed behind only long enough to tell Muckflower when and where to meet her for herbs his clan so desperately needed. Her clanmates surrounded her on the way back to camp, the warriors murmuring amongst themselves at the new revelation. When they arrived at camp, Rosestar flicked her tail at Moonpetal.

"Meet me at my den when you have tended to your wound and checked on the sick cats." Rosestar mewed quietly to the light she-cat. Moonpetal dipped her head and padded to her den. The cats that have gotten sick over the last few days all lay asleep in makeshift nests. Moonpetal nosed them over, all were breathing strongly except Blacknose. Alarmed, Moonpetal pushed her muzzle into his fur. The tom was scarcely breathing.

Moonpetal got catmint and chewed some up, before pushing it partway into the toms mouth, hoping that some would get into his system. She knew that there was nothing else she could do at the moment for the sick cat. Going into the herb store again, Moonpetal found some dock and set it aside. She licked at her wound, wincing as a sharp pain went through her shoulder. It was deeper than she had originally thought. Chewing up the dock, Moonpetal put it over her wound. The moon had moved only a little across the sky by the time she reached Rosestar's den.

The leader was sheathing and unsheathing her claws, and jumped when Moonpetal came in, as if startled. Moonpetal padded over to her leader and licked her shoulder in a respectful greeting.

"How are the sick cats?" Rosestar inquired. Moonpetal told her leader of all the cats conditions. Rosestar stared off for a moment before sighing.

"Go to the Moonpool after you meet with Shadowclans medicine cat." Moonpetal nodded. Rosestar eyed Moonpetal's wound and scowled slightly in displeasure before dismissing Moonpetal.

Moonpetal stayed up until the sun breached the horizon, before falling into a dreamless slumber. Her meeting with Muckflower was at sunhigh, and Dawnwhisker promised to wake her up in enough time so Moonpetal wouldn't be late.

Palestar led the warriors across the fallen tree to venture further into the foggy woods, Muckflower close behind.

The Thunderclan medicine cat told him to meet at the borders, hoping to supply shadowclan herbs and healing supplies. He scoffed in his mind at the clan’s hopefulnesses in such a disaster.

The few warriors entered camp, the sickly barely noticing their appearance. The fresh air only served for him to more strongly recognize the foulness of puke and fluids in the air.

Cloverpaw makes quick work of organizing herbs to hand out to dying, the brown Tom making his way to reach for the dock.

His claws slip around the bundles of herbs for him to place it on his tongue, making quick work of chewing as his apprenticed raced around checking on each patient. The task would keep her busy until sun set.

He walked up to the clawed warriors of the gathering, both him and Nettletalon only sharing a glance. He began to tend to her gray pelt as she talked to her clan mates, muckflower cleaning her wounds before licking her cuts over with chewed dock.

The white muscular leader stepped over to the medicine cat, his gaze hiding his shame at the distastefulness at shadowclan’s condition. He sat down besides the brown Tom as he tended the she-cat.

“…supplies are at the border at sun high, I expect a patrol with me to be hidden in case something goes awry.” Muckflower states with his mouth full of dock.

Palestar nods leaving the Tom to continue his work. Muckflower huffs when he’s finished with Nettletalon’s cuts, sighing as he looks around to the cats she was speaking too after seeing how much more work is left.

‘Only five more to go.’ He thought moving on to the next black pelted warrior besides her silently, tending to Swifthallow with dock.

Moonpetal stretched out when Dawnwhisker woke her. She quickly checked the sick cats, and instructed Dawnwhisker what to do if any more cats got sick. She collected yarrow and catmint and started to the boarder between Shadowclan and Thunderclan. The yarrow would serve to forcefully make a cat puke if they are crowfood, to lessen their chances of getting sick from the spoiled prey. The catmint would help cure the sickness itself. Rosestar had informed Moonpetal that there would be a hunting patrol nearby in case anything happened.

Moonpetal got to the boarder just before sunhigh, and tasted the air for Muckflower. She was slightly surprised when she smelled the strong scent of several Shadowclan cats, as if the boarder was just recently marked. She set the herbs down and waited, trying to ignore the discomfort of her shoulder. Even though she tried to keep the salve in place, the constant movement from the journey had rubbed off the dock and now her shoulder was bare of healing herbs.

Moonpetal jumped when Muckflower suddenly stepped out from the trees, his tail lashing back and forth in a not friendly way. Moonpetal was not surprised at the tom's slight agression, he was known to have a horrible temper. She dipped her head in greeting to the large cat.

Muckflower yawned as he finished up Wildthorn’s treatment, entering his medicine den with tiredness weighing his thick pelt.

The only sound of the night was of jagged breathing of the overwhelming sick stricken cats, and the hint of two-leg noise over the horizon. He went to the only nest he had left to sleep in, finding Cloverpaw just a foxtail away passed out from today’s work.

He hummed in thought before resting. He thought of his apprentices before her, Pebblepaw and Sparrowpaw. He always doubted starclan’s true intention, and especially after his first apprentice’s death he refuses to believe the so called holy cats had good meaning at all.

He looks up at the stars peeking though the den’s entrance, he closes his eyes feeling disgruntled with lasting grief at what’s happened shadowclan.

Muckflower swayed his tail back and forth as the warrior stood still, their dark pelts hiding them perfectly in the shadows. He breathed in the more breezy and free scent of Thunderclan border, finding Moonpetal waiting for him.

Cloverpaw has served him well enough, telling the Tom everything she’s learned about thunderclan’s newest medicine cat from the gathering. The white and brown apprentice staying back at camp for his return.

Muckflower looked over the smaller she-cat, stepping forward to meet her at the border. The manes cat looked over her offers, feeling disappointed in the lack of wild herb and supply of catmint, the herb now in abundance since the two-leg infestation.

“This will…. be fine enough.” He looked over, counting the herbs for future distribution. He barely bothered to hide his emotions of the Thunderclan cat, only looking to her eyes for her dismissal as he gathered the supply.

Moonpetal shuffled her paws nervously. "Is.. Is there anything else you need?" She cursed her own inexperience and thought for a bit before suddenly mewing, "Wait! Feverfew!" The she-cat dashed off into the depths of her territory and quickly found a plant of feverfew. She grabbed as much as her jaws would carry, before racing back to where Muckflower was waiting. Dropping the precious herb in front of the tom, Moonpetal didn't even notice her irritated wound that had started bleeding slightly. She flicked her tail in fairwell at Muckflower's earlier dismissal and started walking to the Moonpool to speak with Starclan.

Muckflower raised his paw to speak before the white she-cat bounded off to fetch herbs anxiously. He huffs, glaring back at the pack of warriors only for their shadowy forms to give him a shrug.

When she reappears busying herself, not even noticing her wound from the gathering reopening. He opens his mouth to comment on her bleeding before readying to leave, but she already made quick pace to get back to Thunderclan camp with a flick of her tail.

The hidden patrol paper from the darkness from her disappearance, gathering around the Tom.

“I couldv’e done with juniper….” He huffs under his breath, taking the supply into his jaws. He makes a gesture to the warriors to return to camp.

The sun had moved across the sky to almost sunset by the time Moonpetal had arrived at the Moonpool. She flicked her tail and cleaned her wound a bit before settling down to speak with Starclan. She hadn't even noticed that her wound had reopened until about halfway to the Moonpool, but she didn't want to stop. Moonpetal's eyes fell closed and she was suddenly surrounded by the silvery pelts of Starclan.

Moonpetal looked around at her warrior ancestors, recognizing some pelts, while others were unfamiliar. She saw Spottedleaf, and skipped over to rub her nose along the sweet she-cat's cheek in greeting. Spottedleaf looked anxious, and looked over Moonpetal's shoulder at Yellowfang. The old cat's tail was lashing back and forth.

"Twolegs are taking over the clans territory." Yellowfang spat, her sharp eyes glaring at the ground. Spottedleaf rushed over to the former medicine cat and ran her tail over the gray cat's spine soothingly. It was clear that Spottedleaf was equally as anxious as Yellowfang, so the gesture did not do much to calm her.

"What should I do?" Moonpetal asked the wise cats. Spottedleaf exchanged a look with Yellowfang before mewing, "You must let Shadowclan live on Thunderclan's territory." Moonpetal's fur stood on end.

"There's not enough food on the territory to support our own clan! Much less another!" The light she-cat protested. Yellowfang snarled quietly, "Shadowclan is dying. There aren't nearly as many cats as you might think. Over half the clan is already dead, and the rest will die soon without help from Thunderclan." Moonpetal gasped quietly at Yellowfangs words. She had no idea just how bad things were in Shadowclan until now. She quickly dipped her head in farewell to Starclan and closed her eyes to wake up.

"What? Shadowclan on our territory?" Rosestar exclaimed. Moonpetal nodded. She had raced back to camp as quick as she could and woke Rosestar up to tell her the news.

"We can't have so many sick cats in camp, I think it'll be best to have a makeshift camp for Shadowclan and another for the sick cats from both clans." Moonpetal explained. Rose star thought this over a bit before lowering her head.

"Find healthy warriors to assist you in building the den for sick cats. When that is done, go to Shadowclan to tell them the news. Both clans can work on the dens for the healthy warriors." Moonpetal nodded and went quickly to her den. All the cats were still alive, but Blacknose was getting worse. Moonpetal knew that the tom would likely not make it, since he wasn't responding to herbs at all. She stayed up all night tending to sick cats.

Muckflower stepped over the bodies of fallen clan mates that didn’t have the time to be buried yet. The warriors making quick work to dig new graves, all without having the chance to mourn as by now the rotten as made most cat’s unrecognizable.

He added the supply to his stash, Cloverpaw nowhere in sight at the moment. He glanced around the camp in search of the small white cat, but it only served to remind himself to tell Palestar to take the most contagious out of camp to die. He would hate to say it, but the mortality rate did lower when they’ve gotten rid of their most I’ll and unlikely to recover.

As the huge Tom walked through the mix of corpses and the sick, he passed out herbs to those well enough to feed themselves. He finally stumbled upon Cloverpaw, curled up over the body of a brown she-cat.

The cat’s body was withered and impossibly skinny, her eyes glazed. Muckflower felt a flash of fear upon the sight, scared that the plague has taken her too, but it was relieved as the apprentice turned to him with tears staining her eyes.

“Spruceleg… s-she’s-“ the white apprentice whimpered. Her mentor sighed, only now remembered who Spruceleg was, Cloverpaw’s mother.

“…come on. We have work to do.” Muckflower commends, moving his apprentice along. Death has taken many cats, but as a further medicine cat she must not be distracted by mourning. She’ll be forced to carry on like the rest of shadowclan.

She drags her paws as he leads her to medicine den, joining him in the herb distribution.

Just before sunrise, Moonpetal gathered several warriors to begin construction on the den for sick cats. Moonpetal chose a spot far from camp, but close enough that she could get there quickly if something happened. The warriors labored all day, while Moonpetal went back and forth to start stocking the place with herbs. Most warriors in the clan distrusted the other clans, especially Shadowclan. It would be a tense time for everybody, but Rosestar had made it clear that any aggression unprovoked would be intolerable.

The den was finished by sunhigh, complete with nests for the cats. Moonpetal started the journey to Shadowclan, vaguely remembering the way to their camp from her first moon as an apprentice. It was alarming to smell no prey on the way as she neared Shadowclan territory. Even during leafbare, there were at least stale scents of life. It wasn't leafbare yet, but the air was practically lifeless.

As she neared the camp, Moonpetal could smell rot and sickness in the air. Her whiskers twitched in disgust at the strong, rancid scent. The air here smelled like death. Suddenly, Moonpetal was knocked to the ground. Her shoulder made a sharp pain of protest as a pinecone pressed right against the wound, opening it yet again. Moonpetal yelped in shock and pain and tried to use her hind paws to push the pouncer off of her, but the cat was much too heavy. She choked on fur and realized the scent was Muckflower. He didn't seem too pleased at Moonpetal's unannounced arrival.

Muckflower was lucky his apprentice made good use of her grief, burying herself in work. While Cloverpaw perhaps became a bit bitter, she was made a better medicine cat as she was braver to deman herb patrol from the deputy and leader.

Muckflower was currently gathering herbs close to camp, the scent of sickness still on his pelt from tending cats. Cloverpaw led a small herb patrol around the border while most warriors still clawed graves for the growing pile of corpses.

What was once a clan of great might, both the size of warriors and their excellent skill was reduced to a small band.

He scented an electric aroma near the camp, instantly thinking of a Thunderclan intruder and racing to pounce at the traitor.

He unsheathed his claws, his brown and orange pelt blending to the undergrowth of the twisted woods. His belly fur drags across the earth, snagging on thorns as he drew closer.

He springs back to pounced on the white cat, mostly bumping the she-cat to the ground causing her to yowl as he used his weight to pin the the cat.

“…Moonpetal?” He huffs, seeing it just the medicine cat. He observed to see she’s not carrying her supply on her, annoyed having to spend more time with an outsider longer then possible.

The hefty Tom lifted off the she-cat, going back on his haunches to wait for her to explain herself, an eyebrow raised and his fluffy tail tapping at the dirt.

Moonpetal shook a bit of dirt off of herself, before settling down and curling her tail around her paws. Muckflower stared at her coldly, and she felt a twinge of guilt for not bringing herbs. Blood dripped slowly down her shoulder, small spikes from the pinecone stuck in the wound.

"There is a den ready on our territory for the sick cats. They'll be safer and further away from the monsters there." She mewed. The white she-cat looked at Muckflower before continuing.

"Your healthy clan members can also stay on our territory, but they will have to help build their own den." Moonpetal didn't bother saying why Shadowclan couldn't just stay in the camp.

“…what?” He questioned, his tone colored annoyed as he looked at the pale cat. A rustling interrupted him from snapping at the she-cat, turning to the fog where the herb patrol appeared back from their trip.

Cloverpaw had a stern look to her face as she emerged from a bundle of thorns, her mouth full of herbs. Dark pelted warriors were behind her stopping to register what looked like a fight between Muckflower and the Thunderclan cat.

“Go fetch Palestar and Amberwound.” He order his apprentice, Cloverpaw quickly following his command as warriors began to circle the potential threat their pelt barley viable from the shadow.

Muckflower seemed to gesture for Neetletalon and Swifthallow to back down with a wave his paw before continuing to talk to Moonpetal.

“..Now fill me in, what is all this talk about us housing in thunderclan?” He voiced straight forward, not liking the idea of Shadowclan become more vulnerable then it already was.
