Faust Windfallow -- Fort Black Hall -- Interacting With Bem ( Noble Scion Noble Scion ) -- In Vicinity of Emily ( Alteras Alteras ), Krysten ( StoneWolf18 StoneWolf18 ), Kit ( One Mean Ghost One Mean Ghost ), Veth ( Fable Fable )

Faust briefly noticed Veth approaching him with the mana bomb, and throwing it at him. As the mana-bomb Faust had just made is supposedly completely harmless, he made no effort in catching it. It didn't seem like he had to though, as the elf used wind magic to blow it away.

Then came the bee who had called him a demon, and then started laughing hysterically for some strange reason. Oh god that laughing hurt his ears (if he even had those). Noticing that the mana bomb was just about to fly out of the door, Faust gestured with his hand, and wit his own wind magic, blew the mana-bomb back, headed straight towards Bem. It would be centimeters in front of her face before Faust snapped his fingers, and the bomb detonated right in her face. Other than being a wake-up call, it wouldn't serve much purpose. Thank lord Faust didn't screw up and make a real mana-bomb. Otherwise, he could've just killed that poor bee, and everyone that was standing within a meter to her... Walking up to the oversized mutated bee, Faust slapped it right across the left side of the face.

"There is a huge difference between a demon and an undead," Faust schooled her, "and I take it to offence that you are associating me with a demon. There's a drastic difference, has your tiny brain stopped functioning? Or is it still bee-sized even after you went and mutated hundreds of times bigger than the size of the honeybee I stomped on yesterday morning?" Sighing, Faust shook his head. "Undead are dead things that came back to life with dark magic shenanigans, and demons are demons. Fucking learn how shit works." Noticing that the bee was still laughing hysterically, Faust moved his left hand and slapped her again, this time on Bem's right cheek.

"Shut up, you sound like a mentally retarded monkey in heat, who's trying to fuck a whale." He said, beginning to become irritated himself. And that was an impressive feat on its own- Faust surprisingly had the patience for the living, and yet this bee's laughter; it irritated him to no comparison. "Can I teleport her into the middle of the desolation? I think she's about to go batshit insane and try to murder us soon now."

Silently she’d take a step back from the group, figuring they were busy enough to not notice her attempt at a subtle exit. The rest of you, make your preparations and do everything to reinforce the Castle. I'm headed to the tower."

Emily said as she left the Reception Desk. She meandered down the hallways, headed toward the tallest location in Castle Black, informally known as the Tower. It wasn't that impressive at all, it was just a glorified rampart for overlooking the area. As she stood at the center of the small space, she gazed out to all directions. A grim darkness from the south, and a fleeing light from the north, not at all ominous."Alright, let's begin." Emily sat down and closed her eyes, letting the mana around her flow with greater and greater speed.

Silvanus | Paladin Guild, Garden|@Reinhardt LostHaven LostHaven Fable Fable LoneSniper87 LoneSniper87 Axel The Englishman Axel The Englishman

Having dealt with the fallen angel and the paladin, Silvanus slowly walked in Lucius' direction, not caring enough to hurry on with it.

K-K-K-K...K-K-CHANG! The chains broke. Silvanus, not expecting this speed, was caught off-guard. His eyes widened by a millimeter as he barely turned on time to see the blade moving in his direction. He raised his own sword, through unparalleled speed, but he didn't have enough time to put down enough strength into the block, or spawning a shield.

Instead, he was thrown across the garden like a ragdoll, and hit a wall on the second floor, breaking through.

Moments after, Silvanus stood in the hole where he was thrown through. His movements were soaked with rage. His chest was moving up and down - he was breathing? Death Knights didn't need to breathe, but he was new. An instinctual reaction of fear? It was possible.

In two seconds he calmed down and looked at Auriel with his usual eloquence.

The next words he spoke were in a tone so dreadfully cold it was as if though Silvanus was made of ice himself. "I see." He waited a while. His sword and shield seemed to disappear from his hands, replaced by a single sword with a midnight and navy blue color palette on the sword and hilt, as well as a sapphire on the pommel. "Is it possible that you are worthy? I will answer that valiance and fight without limit."

He disappeared.

No, wrong.

He moved, so fast that he was invisible, so fast that both Lucius and Mikhel could feel the change in air pressure in the form of a tangible wave moving their hair. In an instant, he was in front of Auriel and in an instant, he swiped his sword, not yet unleashing its abilities. A test, to see if she was worthy.

Ennael | Xhoras Streets | Fable Fable Bakuyoshi Bakuyoshi

Ennael growled. She detected a second opponent within range. Holy daggers were thrown at her. A trifle. She stopped moving, hovering in the air, then released a swoop of her wing. A furious tempest of wind answered the daggers and blew them back in the direction of the thrower.

She then hit off like an arrow, toward the sky, gaining altitude. Upon gaining a deadly height, she spoke an incantation and her form seemed to split into four. Illusions. One was real, others were not. It mattered not - confusing the opponent was all that was important.

The illusions fell, divebombing from four different directions, each one brandishing a greatsword. They flew faster than a boulder fired from a catapult. It was a maneuver of certain victory, that granted the ability to confuse the opponent and strike at an opening. They wouldn't know which ones were the illusions and therefore unaware where to defend. Unless Nyx thought of something, she'd be toast.

Well... It seemed his holy fire had no effect. As Auriel had knocked him into oblivion, he took his chance and ran over to one of the Paladins, helping him rise. "Hey, how many of you guys are left?" He asked, trying to guage everything. He hadn't realized a piece of rubble was embedded above his eye, blood dripping down and over his mask. Beyond that, and the blood spattering his clothes, he looked rather clean, unlike everyone else. "We need to establish a defense, get everyone able bodied out of here!" He said, trying to get him to move away from the flame and toward somewhere a bit safer to talk. Not that he would get anywhere if the Paladin didn't want to move.

Auriel's Banner.png

Auriel -- Garden -- Interacting With Silvanus ( Birdsie Birdsie ) -- In Vicinity Of Lucius ( Fable Fable ), Mikhel ( Reinhardt Reinhardt ), Vesryn ( LoneSniper87 LoneSniper87 )

Auriel watched as the death knight was flung around like a ragdoll, breaking through a wall before coming to a halt. She had struck her target, yet simply striking him would not be sufficient for Durandal to begin drawing mana from him. She didn't waste time in taking a defensive stance, as Silvanus returned to his feet. "Then let us battle," Auriel answered, as Silvanus drew out a sword, which Auriel could only assume held some sort of power. Then, in an instant, the death knight was in front of Auriel, and about to slice her.

Out of impulse, Auriel moved her blade with her right hand to intercept the attack- she too would be flung backwards like Silvanus earlier. However, holy light began to burn in her left hand, and as Silvanus' blade made contact with hers, Auriel fired a bolt of light at the death knight- it was hard to miss at point-blank range, and she would opt to damage the death knight and take a beating herself. Mikhel, the nephilim and the knight were still present after all, she would rather damage the death knight as much as possible and leave the rest to the others should she fall. Auriel struck the wall with a huge thud, cracks beginning to appear on the surface. Auriel fell to the ground, and brought herself up, kneeling with one knee on the ground. Gazing at her blade, Auriel looked at the golden glow it emanated. "Six minutes." She thought to herself. "Six minutes before Durandal begins to draw mana from me." She stood up and looked Silvanus in the eye. What sort of eldritch monstrosity lay under that mask? "Death Knight, know that I shall not hold back." She called out, before she leapt at him, swiping her blade downward, aiming for his head.

(Based on a successful Discord roll which happened only because Ellis and Drui created an opening for Cyrus.)

Ellis & Cyrus of Trostenwald | Paladin Guild, Courtyard / Skies above Xhorhas|@Fyuri

Ellis nodded. Ellis kept playing and he felt an energy in his hands as he did. A latent power for playing the instrument, now generating magic through itself thanks to Drui's power. Ellis' eyes flashed silver, even though he did not notice it through the burning. The silver fire entered the ward and along with Drui's instruments, made it boom, containing the entire city.

Paladins held a nearby tavern, having barricaded the doors and defending a dozen of citizens inside. Only three paladins, against swarms of undead outside. Defending by penetrating the windows with their spears and holding the door barred for as long as was possible. The blessings of the gods were secondary to the power of the necromancer outside, who kept firing abyssal bolts at the building.

That's when Cyrus felt the energy roiling through the city and smiled. He floated into the air, took out a scroll and incanted it. In an instant, the Death Knight Aspirant was trapped in another realm.

Then, Cyrus dropped to the ground, on his feet still and poured the last of his mana into an ultimate conjuration.

There was a reason he was called the Conjurer of Tirisgarde.

"Lava i' beleg sgiathatch fain-y' aha ikotane belakkor tanya ilya ho fos gurtha!" he screamed out, fondly remembering the incantation from years ago.

Cyrus poured his mana into the spell, his meridians pumping out as much as they could to keep up, but he didn't have enough to fuel it. The spell would be impossible to fulfill, so Cyrus had to make it incomplete and unfinished.

The conjuration was imperfect, so Cyrus decided to substitute several things in its construction to allow. A crystalline baseline replaced with reptilian scales. Areal Omni-target attacks replaced with targetted magic. Miracleworking replaced with simple thaumaturgy. This was good enough.

Cyrus spoke the last line, this one in common, as his staff hit the ground. "And lo, he roared."

The heavens screamed and the earth shook. A massive dragon, the size of the city itself, now loomed over it. Cyrus breathed out, canceling the enhancement and shielding spells cast on himself, as he was safe. His organism was weak without them, so the old man fell to the ground, unconscious, but he knew he was safe.

The dragon roared, then fire collected in its mouth and it gushed out against the death knights. A silver fire that burned. It moved through the streets like a wave of water, melting undead and necromancers, while leaving buildings, citizens and paladins completely unharmed.

It went past the statue of General Audron, and it seemed to go back to its previous glory, the cracks on it repairing.

It went past the tavern where paladins guarded against the undead and it destroyed the enemy without fail, leaving nothing but dust.

It hit Abominigar, Ennael, and Akbal. It destroyed them all, leaving only piles of black ash that scattered in the wind.

It reached Silvanus while he was busy fighting Auriel...

Silvanus | Paladin Guild, Garden|@Reinhardt LostHaven LostHaven Fable Fable LoneSniper87 LoneSniper87 Axel The Englishman Axel The Englishman

Silvanus didn't wait, or hold back, as he said. When Auriel was flung back, he followed, leaping after her. The bolt of light hit him in the chest but was absorbed by his armor and any damage it did was negligible.

As she started standing up, he did not let her speak. He crossed the distance too quickly. As her blade swiped downward, she found it obstructed as his hand caught the crossguard of Durandal, his hand on top of hers. He looked Auriel in the eyes. "You talk too much."

He delivered a headbutt with the power of a giant's punch focused on her nose's bridge. He took advantage of her lack of helmet. Then, Silvanus took his sword and attacked with speed unseen prior to this. A burst of five attacks per second, over six seconds. It was like fire, impossible to pinpoint or defend against, and each attack had enough power behind it to kill or heavily damage a baseline human.

But before he could react, a silver-white energy rained from above and it burned him to a pile of carpet sweepings, leaving anyone and anything else completely unharmed.

The city appeared to repair itself, but those who died, unfortunately, weren't resurrected. The conjuration was imperfect after all. The dragon, whose scales were silver and eyes were blue, looked down at the city. He saw that it was safe, and he collapsed into magical energy - a blue dust - that disappeared in the air.

Drui hadn't expected the sudden burst of power into the ward to come from Ellis. As it poured forth she noticed the change of his eyes and smiled as she maintained control in order to keep the holy ward stable. It spread across the city, consuming it in it's protective powers and turning undead at its edges. It was enough for Cyrus as the next moment a large dragon of silver fire rose up and cleansed the entire city of the horde.

Drui didn't witness everything, but the sounds changed as the dragon breathed its fire. The groans of the undead faded away, the sound of the battle in the garden with the Death Knight ceased suddenly. She didn't want to risk dropping the ward, not yet. She played still even after she could spot glittering blue dust floating away. They would have to hold this ward for as long as needed until they heard it was safe to release it.[/div][/div][/div]

Lucius was certain the woman wielding the greatsword was doomed. She had managed to slam him away to the second floor, but he emerged unscathed and stated he would no longer be limiting himself. He had been holding back this entire time? That immense strength and speed shown previously wasn't his full ability? Perhaps they truly were doomed to fail in facing off against him. Lucius didn't want to risk firing at the man while he fought the woman as his arrows could be used to harm a fellow guildmate should they get deflected.

He felt frustrated and continued to fire arrows to keep the other undead away to stop them from all being swarmed. While there was a holy ward, it seemed to not be bothering the Death Knight at all! However, the power of the ward increased immensely, swallowing up the entire city. A dragon soon appeared and burned away the undead enemy, even the one who was merciless attacking them here in the garden, leaving nothing but ash.

Lucius looked around warily before he lowered his bow, "We survived."

Chiruka 'tched' as Ennael sent her daggers flying back at her. She jumped from her perch and made her way to a new location as the clones were being produced. She still wasn't the main focus of her target, the other woman was which meant Chiruka could still have a chance. She just needed to narrow down who was the true Ennael. She'd have to do this quickly since the Death Knight was at an advantage. Chiruka crouched low and focused. It was hard for even herself to see through the illusions since dead things didn't have heartbeats or sweet warm blood to give her a helping clue to who the original was.

Before Ennael had a chance to slaughter the other woman, a ward swallowed up the city and a dragon appeared, burning the Death Knight into nothing by ash. Chiruka frowned and stood up, cursing under her breath that her opportunity to face Ennael had been lost. The undead were destroyed and the city was purged. Had she been undead herself she would have perished with them, but her heart still beat and it was enough to leave her alive. She would retreat for now, it was only a matter of time before the Death Knights returned and she'd face Ennael then.

She casually wandered through the purged streets, the ash of the undead stirred up and floating through the city streets. She came across a brutish looking man with a large battle hammer. Her red eyes regarded him warily should he try to engage in a fight with her. She didn't want to waste her time fighting those of the guild when she needed to determine where and when her prey would appear next. Though, he was somewhat tempting for a quick bite. She turned away from him and walked past silently, moving to leave the city.[/div][/div][/div]

Nyx was surprised by the Silver flame until she looked up only to see a Dragon above the city. She had no idea it was Cyrus and assumed he had come to help. And in reaction all she could do was bow to the dragon as he dissapeared. "Thank you Great Dragon, I hope you find the ability to rest. For now I have to find some allies." Before she left she looked to the Ash. "I know you are coming back. And next time I will finally put an end to you. I don't know how but I promise that much." She took off to regroup with any remaining Paladins. Or groups of Guild members. At the moment she wasn't picky she just needed a friendly face to encounter. But then she saw another women walking down the streets. Talking to a large man with a hammer. Judging by their appearances the two must have been fellow combatants. "Excuse me Sir and Miss! Do you know the quickest way to the Guild of Heroes? I need to get there and fast."

Although some of them were quick to answer his call, it didn't seem to do much. The greatsword-wielding woman continued to face the death knight - and though the fight between them initially started to lean towards their victory, the moment that the death knight announced that he will hold back no longer signaled only one inevitable fate - their defeat.

Knowing that despite the holy ward and all their efforts, this death knight was still superior to them, Mikhel decided to throw away his plan, and act using his instincts. He had been running out on juice, anyway.

When he witnessed the death knight close in on Auriel, Mikhel immediately acted. By using all that he had left, he propelled himself forward, and knocked the woman out of harm's way, before the death knight could unleash his fury. In the blink of an eye, he received a powerful headbutt - and even though he had worn a blessed armor, the sheer force of the death knight's attack stunned him, and wounded him.

Blood flowed down from his forehead.

Dazed, the death knight waited for no opportunity.

Mikhel received all of the merciless blows of this fiend. The pain was unbearable, as he felt each strike cut through his flesh. With the force and speed of the death knight's attacks, each strike left a dissipating trail of steam and smoke for every time it struck the paladin's frail and dying body.

His body was no longer capable, Mikhel remained standing through sheer will alone. His armor was dented and punctured with holes - as blood dripped from each and every crevice it had, forming a slowly expanding pool of crimson fluid beneath him.

Fortunately, silver flame poured down upon them, washing away the unliving - including the death knight.

The battle was over - they had won. There were casualties, but they had managed to stop this fight from getting into worse scenarios. He could hear the victory cheers and chants echoing from afar, coming from those who survived this unfortunate encounter. No longer able to go on, Mikhel began to drop to the ground like a log.

As he fell, the same words rang in his mind.

"The good guys always win don't they, Sir Mikhel?"

He smiled. And with his last breath, as his body finally hit the ground, he spoke with difficulty.

"It would seem so, little one."

The paladin...was no more.

Man, the paladin he was talking to must be deaf. Or Vesryn was already dead and just a ghost walking around that nobody noticed. Either way, he felt rather stupid trying to do things only for them to have no effect. He walked over to the Paladin on the ground, who was now dead, and shook his head. He then looked at Auriel, who had been shoved out of the way. "You alright? How is everyone else? Do you know?" He asked, walking forward and returning his book to it's pouch.

Bem the Apianian - Reception
hip to fuck bees.png
Bem simply laughed all the more through her stinging cheeks at the rather surprising attack from one of her allies. "Based on the actions you've just shown, you seem to be acting much more like a demon that an undead! Haha!" she giggled all the more. "Such unsolicited aggression! How fascinating." she smiled as the jovial nature that had bloomed through her mind and body ebbed silently away, leaving her with not but a graceful smile, "If this is how you treat laughing allies, I'd hate to see how you treat your enemies." she smiled calmly and patiently as she rubbed her head, working the stinging sensation out of them while ignoring the flurry of insults. No words of a race other than an apianian could truly damage her pride, for she had seen how cruel the words of a humanoid being could be already. "I shall forgive your attacks due to my own.. Unusual behaviour, and apologise for my actions, but I do not believe that I am feeling all too well at the moment." she explained gently as her kind, young mind seemed to release the strange hysteria's grip from Bem's body.

Almost after her soft apology to the undead (although Bem was convinced that he may be possessed by a demon due to the outburst), the grounds shook and the earth seemed to tremble around her, sending a strange buzzing sensation throughout her body. She shuffled over to a window and took a look outside in the direction of what appeared to be a giant lizard with wings fleeing the fort, leaving her with nothing but a confused thought as to how these humans had tamed such a beast, or if it just happened to be a wild one passing by.

"That bee is definitely not right in the head," Faust concluded, after hearing Bem's hysterical little fit. "Seriously, what went wrong with you?" He insulted Bem, annoyed. Sighing, Faust turned to Kit, before the ground beneath them suddenly shook. "What the fuck was that?" He questioned, though nobody at the hall would probably know the answer to such a question. Suddenly, Faust realised that he had connection to his undead raven again. He looked through its eyes for a brief moment, catching sight of a huge creature, before a wave of purifying flame completely and utterly purged his raven from the face of the planet. Pausing, Faust was utterly dumbfounded. "Uh, guys..." He clalled out. "I might just be high on devilweed, but I think our forces completely and utterly destroyed the undead horde..." Shaking his head, Faust considered the absurdity of what he'd just seen. "Yeah, I just got my raven back for a brief moment and I saw a dragon the size of a fucking city... Spitting silver fire at everything..." Continuing to shake his head, Faust came to the sudden realisation that he was beginning to lose his grip on the undead that he had left to repair the wall. Then he realised he wasn't feeling the best himself either. "Wait, who the fuck cast a holy field over the fort?" He questioned, blue orbs darting around, looking for the most likely culprit. Of course, the only one who would've cast it: the receptionist, wasn't present. "Goddamn that fucking elf thing." He cursed, teleporting himself to where he had left the undead- the west wall.

There, he saw the half-repaired wall, and several undead beginning to dissipate into dust- they weren't just losing negative energy and becoming piles of bones, they were literally disintegrating before his eyes. "Oh fuck. I didn't get these dead bodies legally..." Faust muttered, raising his hand, and beginning to mutter an incantation. Moments later, he and about twenty undead crashed into the vault entrance. Looking at his creations, Faust noted that he had failed to save several of them. "Fuck. I'm like a father who accidentally dropped his kids down a pitfall..." The lich cursed, before he began to turn the vault entrance into a sancturary of sorts while the holy ward was up around the fort. Waving his hand, negative energy filled the air, and began to permeate the vault entrance. A thick layer of black mist blanketed the floor. The mist actually served no purpose, other than the added 'wow' effect. "Waaah, fuck it." He whined, as he fell back against one of the walls. "I'll just camp down here for a while then." Of course, while Faust had turning immunity as a lich, the holy field that Emily had set up irritated him just by being inside of it. "Fucking hell, I'll kill her later."

Sion | Reception Desk | Interacting with no one but watching the group in front of reception: Bem Noble Scion Noble Scion , Kit One Mean Ghost One Mean Ghost , Veth Fable Fable , Faust LostHaven LostHaven , Mostly watching the one trying to slip away from the conversation Krysten StoneWolf18 StoneWolf18

Time passed and many went through the seal, heading to Xorthas to help save the city. Sion however, did not. He originally said he would help if need be but there were far too many people rushing to help and bogging down the receptionist who was creating seals for those who did not have the guild ring. Sion was no one to push past and surge into battle. His war was in North Laurelia, not Xorthas. So, he decided to sit down against a wall and watch as people left and others raced around trying to strengthen the fort. It was odd how he could just sit somewhere and time would pass as if he was sleeping. By the time he snapped out of his current daze, it felt as though hours had passed. The whole time he was staring at the floor drowning himself in thoughts. Trying to piece together the memories that were blurry. He did this often, it was best to just let him be alone when he was like this. However, now he was back in reality and it seemed all was well. Multiple people chatting around the reception desk.

They were being awfully loud for it even snapped him out of his dream-like state. But, he was not mad, he could deal with himself later but for now, it was good to collect information about those around him. Personalities and physiques, he would learn who to avoid and who to talk to. Hoisting himself up and off the ground he began to pat away some of the dust and dirt he had gotten on himself. Making sure to keep eyes on the group who were speaking. He saw what he assumed to be a human woman trying to back out of the conversation and for some reason focused more on her. She was new as well, or at least he felt like she was. Their conversation was useless the more he paid attention and they were all acting like fools. These were not the kind of people Sion wanted to talk to so he stayed towards the wall a bit away and watched. Waiting for the receptionist to return so he could ask some questions. Assuming by now that Xorthas had fallen or was saved.

Abdival had gotten away from Risa. She hadn't answered him and at some point, he found an opening. She might be angry at him but for now, he had to change back. He could deal with an angry guild master, that wants to drag him to Xhorhas later. At the time he didn't know that they had won the battle though. Which is more surprising than it is sad he didn't get to join in. "For now I need to find the only other person that could turn me back."

Continuing to climb through the walls, carefully avoiding the killer cat. Eventually, he made it to the storage room. Specifically the ceiling of the storage room. It was a wood boarded ceiling so he could see his friend. "Well, I could walk all the way around or..." He said, jumping down a hole in the wood, which made a sound of him falling, he was far enough away from Aster that he could have heard it but not seen Abdival.

OK, by some luck Aster, hasn't seen me yet, I should handle this carefully. He didn't want to have to deal with more flaming lances. Trying as hard as he could to not scare Aster, "Aster, wait! I'm a newt. I need you to turn me back. Don't kill me!" He screamed, ready to dodge if Aster freaked out.

Armad Greyson

Xorhas|Outside city walls > City Streets| Potentially in the vicinity of Nyx( Bakuyoshi Bakuyoshi ) or Chiruka( Fable Fable ) otherwise in the vicinity of the reception area.

Armad was having a relatively good day. He had broken out of his latest captor's hands and had replaced their doors with completely different doors with color that didn't match anything else they had. It was truly an evil thing and one that was well earned by the group who had dared to not even give him snacks while he was being kidnapped by them. Now all of them would have to live with the curse of having extremely ugly bright pink doors or have to spend a good amount of time replacing or painting them. That'd teach the bastards. While he was lost in his own world, reveling at his interior-designer style revenge, he was suddenly shaken out of his reverie by the sounds of combat, probably people dying (or having a screaming contest), and an overall terrible scene that looked to be a city under attack by a rather large amount of undead. As if that wasn't enough, a dragon suddenly appeared over the city and...set fire to it? Wait, no that was an avatar. Yep that's not a normal dragon. Those undead are probably dead..again. He thought he should probably just walk on by, but came to the conclusion that it was probably best he go to the city. After all, if the city was almost destroyed that would mean either he would be getting paid to repair it, or he could repair it as a means for killing boredom. Either way, this seemed like a total win for him.

Armad set off, already thinking of where to build his house and planning out how many hours that would take. Did this city have zoning laws? Probably not. He could probably build a house that blended in super well anyway and no one would question it. He definitely could do this. But he definitely wasn't going to, after all why not show off how good he is at making things? It seemed perfectly sound to him as he walked up to the walled outside. He could go through the gate like a normal person, but that looked like it had a large amount of civilians not sure if they should still evacuate or if they should run back to help with cleanup. He decided, instead, to go up to one of the outer walls. He took a look at it, knocked on the stone a bit, then stepped back and made a few smooth motions. The wall began to morph and change until suddenly there was a door there. Armad nodded as he opened the door and walked through into the city.

He then turned around and thought for a moment, that door would probably cause issues. He nodded to himself as he reached into his bag of holding and pulled out what looked to be a craftsman's hammer. He then began unceremoniously pounding against the wall, making a rather large amount of noise. Surprisingly, rather than damaging the stone, it seemed to be repairing what he did, returning the walls to their normal state. He then began walking down the street, heading towards where the damage was the worst, hoping no one had seen what he had just did.

Sion | Reception Area | Speaking with Krysten StoneWolf18 StoneWolf18

The conversation seemed uninteresting till the plague doctor spoke of Xorthas, saying that they won. Sion nodded, impressed by the fact that they won over the death knights. This may be the place he wanted to be after all. If he was to get as strong as they were then there would be no stopping him when he returned home. He would make sure the last moments of that mans life was hell. He pondered the thought but snapped out of it as he heard footsteps coming towards him, the woman he was watching before was walking towards him. She spoke to him and for a bit, he just stared at her, the icy cold glare enough to send shivers down most people's backs.

As she stepped towards him there was an obvious change in temperature, a cold wave was emitting from the older man. Although he looked human from afar the closer a person got the more confused they would get. For Sion did not look like he was alive, he looked as though he was a frozen corpse walking. Skin pale with frost crawling up his face, the veins more visible and dark. Hair frozen back, it was quite the sight to see. The only thing not seen were the hands for they were tucked under his shoulders because his arms were crossed. They did not stay under there long for as she stepped a bit towards him he put up a hand, the blackened frostbitten fingers now visible "I am just watching." he says in a deep and angry tone. Was hard for him to not sound grumpy "We have never met, I am not from this area I think." he says this time around giving a bit of thought to the last statement he made. This woman may be able to answer some questions of his.

Sion put his hand down for he assumed she would have paused once he raised a hand and put them back under his shoulders in a defensive stance. He seemed very untrusting of all those currently present. Sion regretted taking his hood down for the guild master and forgetting to put it back up. He knew he looked very suspicious, most avoided him based upon looks even though he seemed human.

Veth opened her mouth to protest as the mana bomb diverted from her intended course as Faust interfered, sending to to explode in the bee-girl's face covering it in what seemed to be soot. The altercation did not end there as he approached and then slapped the girl while lecturing her. He insulted the girl and slapped her once more as the girl laughed. While the bee-girl's hysterics were indeed frustrating, Veth did not agree with the dark one's actions.

It showed that the bee-girl was unaffected by the treatment that the dark one intended to use to cease the hysterical laughter. However the bee-girl's laughter finally seemed to begin to subside, though Veth now seriously questioned the girl's mental state and stability. She was quick to judge those around her and has seemed so ready to call anyone she didn't understand a demon. She had called Cyrus a demon and now the very annoying undead man before her as one as well.

She listened as Faust horribly attempted to update the situation in a vulgar manner, stating that their somehow Xhorhas had managed to defeat the undead horde. It was not time to relax though, they needed more information on the status of the city. Surely someone would soon report in with that information, for now Veth needed to focus on the problems here.

Veth sighed softly and and approached the bee-girl, "This one requests you to accompany her for a moment." Veth stood there waiting for the girl's reply and would excuse herself for the interruption of the planning before leading the girl a few steps away from where the others were trying to plan.[/div][/div][/div]

Lucius looked up and at their surroundings and wondered if the undead would come for the city once again. He had an idea for a possible solution, but the problem was they didn't have the time to complete such a project, if it could even be done in the first place. It would be a massive undertaking, but he needed to at least mention it when they began to prepare for the next wave from the Dark Forest.

He turned to look at the unknown male approaching the woman. Lucius also stepped over to her, "Thank you for your assistance. If you have not blocked the blade I wouldn't be standing here."

She regarded the woman with he eyes before smirking at her in a somewhat devious manner.

Verraketh | The Grand Fortress | Interacting With No One

"My lord. The invasion of Xhorhas failed."

Verraketh stared at the necropolitan messenger with no small amount of displeasure, but his midnight black helmet covered it up. Not that it made the messenger any more at ease than he would be had it been the other way around.

A long moment passed and several of the nearby artifacts, laying on pedestals, suddenly lifted into the air and began generating a black, blobby mass around themselves. The Death Knights began to regenerate their bodies. Verraketh didn't care, he was frozen in place, looking forward absent-mindedly. Long seconds passed in this uncomfortable silence, although the messenger was slightly used to it.

"His Highness will be displeased," he stated, matter-of-factly, but absently. The necropolitan messenger had no idea who he was talking to, but Verraketh, having experience in the world of decorum, added: "You realize that?"

"Yes..." Anticipation turned to anxiety.

Verraketh stood up from his stone throne and approached the messenger. "Move onto plan B. Split our forces and speed up the invasion plan... and bomb that sad city. Perhaps His Grace will forgive the lapse if we achieve a stalemate."

A pause occurred. One full of thought. And the messenger asked, "Which bomb, my lord?" He looked up at the armored monster in front of him.

"The prototype. I want that pathetic city off the map, replaced with something along the lines of 'exclusion zone.' Do you understand? Do not allow the Guild any respite. No such thing as comfort or peace of mind must exist for as long as we are here."

"Yes." He nodded obediently.

Verraketh looked at the phylacteries that were already operating to restore his underlings. He looked at Silvanus' phylactery, then called one of the zombies standing in the corner of the octagonal chamber to come up to him.

"You were wrong," he said, recording the words in the zombie's mind as a telepathic message to be delivered. The creature growled and walked out of the chamber in a steady, weirdly harmonic walk for a zombie.

The zombie walked past the messenger, and Verraketh turned to him. "You know what? Actually, open a link to the hero Guildmaster. I'd like to speak with him."

The Guild Seals flared up. "Primary emergency warning."

"Unknown projectile approaching Xhorhas from the southern direction at high velocity. ETA: about one-hundred and twenty seconds. Contents unknown, damage potential unknown. Advised actions: evacuate."

A second passed and the feminine voice added, "Secondary warning. Third-class undead horde detected approaching Nachtholm from the south. ETA: twenty-six minutes. Approximate likelihood that local defenses will hold on their own: twenty-one-point-six percent (21.6%,) or less. Accounting for all Guild sub-structures refusing cooperation, approximate likelihood that local defenses will hold with full available Guild support: ninety-nine-point-eight percent (99.8%.)"

Another second passed. "Tertiary warning. Fourth-class undead horde detected approaching Tirisgarde from the south. ETA: twenty-five minutes. Approximate likelihood that local defenses will hold on their own: nine-point-one percent (9.1%,) or less. Accounting for all Guild sub-structures refusing cooperation, approximate likelihood that local defenses will hold with full available Guild support: sixty-nine-point-nine percent (69.9%.)"

"Quarternary warning. Third-class undead horde detected approaching Thay from the east. ETA: seventeen minutes. Approximate likelihood that local defenses will hold on their own: ten percent (10%,) or less. Accounting for all Guild sub-structures refusing cooperation, approximate likelihood that local defenses will hold with full available Guild support: eighty-eight-point-six percent (88.9%)"

"Quinary warning. Unknown-class undead horde embarking on the Verdant Sea. Current direction: North. Chances of attack on Calahar: twenty-five (25%) percent. Chances of disembarking in Brotton Bay and terrorizing local towns: thirty-five (35%) percent. Chances of disembarking and attacking the Great Forest: sixty (60%) percent. Advised tactics: relay information to the Kingdom of Albion."

The attack on Xhorhas was just a meager beginning. A taste of the danger. The enemy had enough resources to commence multiple attacks from multiple directions and completely crush the trapped kingdom, but did the Guildmaster have enough heroes to assign everywhere to tip the scales towards victory? Perhaps. After all, the odds of winning in Xhorhas were abysmally low, yet mortalkind prevailed.

"Hello," a voice came from Risa's Guild Seal. Did someone hijack the communications? A holograph emanated from the seal, showing a knight dressed in black armor.

The way its plates were masterfully put together made it look like a dark mixture of ancient, mystical runic artwork with elven influences and a more contemporary design with no clear cultural connection. There were several, red gems on the chest plate and shoulder pads. Rather than have a slit for the eyes, the helmet was a single, solid object with demonic lights emblazoned on it - making it almost unbelievable the figure could see anything. A black, decorative loincloth with two red lines found its origin at the steely belt of the figure.

"I am Verraketh. I presume I've been..." He paused, for a long while.

He looked almost surprised by his body language when he noticed how Risa looked, then he continued in a disgruntled tone, "As I was saying, I presume I've been connected with the leader of the Guild of Heroes? I have to say, I expected more. Much more. Though, I have to give your forces credit for temporarily disabling my underlings at Xhorhas - albeit, it appears the conjurer did most of the work for you. Now, then. Are you ready to hear out my demands, or should I not cancel the bomb I just sent hurling to that pitiful site you call a city? You have one minute to decide."

She was half-conscious when she felt the debris of the ceiling moved off her. The Death Knights believed her dead, and she knew how they-or more how powerful they were. She was already summing up what weapons she needed in her head when she smelled Braxon’s familiar ash covered scent that’d always stuck with him. His warmth brought her a strange sensation of...she didn’t know the words. But she reminded herself she could not feel things. Because she did not have a heart.

Braxon snorted as he nuzzled his white giant snout under her back, a stab of pain reverberating through her but she clenched her teeth through it as she was picked up and found herself clutching the reins of Braxon’s saddle, she felt the wind lash her face as he took off into the sky, and she smelled a scent she never had before.

Gold eyes flashed open as Asterin’s gaze landed on the summoned Dragon, destroying everything in its path besides all that was “good”. A predator, a beast, a weapon, and most of all, gloriously terrifying. Braxon let out a pericing roar of either acknowledgment or reset as he soared past the dragon, his large but nimble body heading for Castle Black.

When Braxon landed in the courtyard, healers were instantly called to assess Asterin’s injuries, and the moment they approached Braxon, she threatened to eat them all for a snack if they touched him, munch to their relief at not having to touch the terrifying beast, and disappointment at not being able to sate their curiosity. She could smell their fear as they lifted her into a makeshift stretcher, Asterin watching them all icely and warily as they did so, a threat in her eyes, and with this look the healers quickly ran inside to tend to her wounds. As they quickly made their way from the courtyard into the hall, Asterin held up her unbroken arm for them to stop, despite her wounds Asterin was unwavering in her strength and authority, and if she was not injured, no doubt she’d be swaggering in. She’d asked them to stop the moment her Guild Seal nearly blew up. Threat after threat to each city. Turneval no doubt had the resources to spare. But they had one today, when there was so little chance of survival. And if they lost a city, a loss was a loss. And they’d have to move on and continue. She found that mortals often dwelled on their failures to any annoying extent. Healers exchanges worried glances at hearing Asterin’s Seal, and she about to give a lazy wave for them to continue when she spotted Risa, and a moment later, a holograph appeared, despite her injuries, and the healers objections, Asterin sat up slowly and eyed the hologram speaking with Risa, her adept hearing picking up on each word he spoke to her.

She gritted her teeth at his words, unable to stop her chromium teeth from coming out, receiving a yelp of fear from one of the healers. Asterin watched the conversation with a stone hard expression. He was threatening them? It was an effort not to rip a healer apart at her mild irritation. She didn’t take kindly to being threatened. Or ordered around.

It has been some time but hopefully They can leave and find out what happened while they walked through these tunnels. Viska was chatting with her friends, trying to lighten up the mood, though that was nearly impossible but she had to do something. Sooner or later she saw light, and assumed the exit was near.

"We're almost out guys! Hopefully we can return to the guild and see what happened!"

Suddenly her guild seal went off, stating tons of bad news, it was almost like nothing was going their way. She was determined, however, to be the bright star in everyone's day. She walked faster towards the light.

“You talk most unusually, elf.” Bem muttered as she was whisked off to the side of the room by the pale-haired, pointy ears, slight malice in her tone after having been insulted by her and the cat-person. “I have elected to blame you for this strange feeling, as I’ve never felt anything quite like it before. I just know that you are reminding me of the ant people, whom I dislike. You aren’t related, by any chance?” She asked honestly, using her usually strange, yet logical way of thinking. “Also, if you intend on repeating what that maggot-ridden corpse over there said to me, I heard, I just don’t care about the thoughts of the dead, nor demons, for that matter, in-case the body just so happens to be possessed by one. Now by all means, proceed with your words of wisdom.” The bee said confidently in preparation of what words the elf might speak. “...and I do hope you don’t intend on attacking me, my cheeks are still stinging.” Bem muttered as two of her hands rose up and began rubbing at the slightly pink coloured areas on her cheeks.

Risa stood a bit of distance away from the rest. The newt in her hands had slipped free though it wasn't much of a concern for her at the moment as a holograph appeared from her seal. Her face remained emotionless as she was very quick to pick up it wasn't some friendly face. She had a lingering suspicion their successful operation was all but a flash of false hope with the announcement all but confirming it. With the presence of Verraketh before her it only confirmed what she had expected. They were far outmatched in the situation and it seemed as if their enemy was simply toying with them. The fact he had a list of demands was strange but not unexpected. Unfortunately with the bombs incoming she had little time to try and play her way around with him.

"So you have access to our Guild seals? Yes, I am the current Guildmaster. Speak your demands." She spoke quite directly to the point projecting her voice loudly in hopes that the point might come across to others around. If he had a way to connect directly with the guild seal, none the less hers in particular it meant there was a good likelihood their entire network of communication could be compromised. If that was the case anything they attempted to do would likely be known by their enemy and easily be adjusted against. Hopefully her loud voice would be enough for someone such as Emily could use to find another way to communicate to others or find some way

She simply ignored his insults directed at her. She wasn't one who tended to think much of being looked down upon. It tended to general make things much more favorable for you to be underestimated. Whatever demands he wished to make wouldn't likely be reasonable for them to make. Her only hope was that the very least he might stop the bomb before it hits and postpone the attacks in order to buy them some time.
