So, as I have said on the Discord chat, today I was inspired by an old book I found, Dying of the Light, by George RR Martin, to create a new thread for this roleplay. For those interested in it, look it up, it is a really interesting book, but what inspired me wasn't the plot in itself. The setting.
The novel is happening on a rogue planet called Worlorn, that for a few years, went so close to a star, that it was able to support life. All the nations around it decided to cooperate, and in the name of peace and harmony, a Festival was set. Celebrations, demonstrations, everything, and on the planet, each of the nations built a city to reflect their culture, animals from all nations were brought, and many races and people enjoyed it. The book itself starts as the rogue planet is headed for the cold embrace of the void once again, and as such, its original title was "After the Festival." Now, I'm interested in the Festival. We should do something like that.
We're going to have a rogue planet in a neutral territory in the Milky Way, that will be called Harmonia. The planet, just like Worlorn, has steadily approached a star, and is now warm enough to support life, necessitating just small terraforming operations. The Provisional Government will initiate the festival, and all nations can attend, send characters, and build their own cities there. to better show their own culture and ideals. We will have celebrations and subplots. Everything that comes to our minds, will be done.
We'll start with each nation that participates describing their cities, and with an official oppening with leaders and delegations, and stuff, and after that, everyone will be free to follow their own sub-plots or propose some to everyone. We'll see how it goes, I really like the idea.

Now, for some rules and limitations.
- No major military forces. This is a festival of peace, so except for some escort ships in the orbit, nothing else militarily. This is supposed to show the civilian culture and achievements of the nations. Police and law enforcement forces can exist on the ground, but without any major military equipment. Military conflicts, unless planned and taking part in the plot, are forbidden. Irregular actions, like sending criminals and assassins and saboteurs in the other cities is forbidden.
- Be realistic. It's a planet, and one city for each of you. You can't recreate your homeworld and colonize half of the planet, and bring quadrillions of people.
- No experiments, viruses, magical weapons. Peace.
- Do no do anything that would affect the entire planet without asking first. If your race lives in huge orbital towers, ask before doing them.
- You do however have full control over the territory that is your city, and as such, the laws of your nation will apply there. But since this is about harmony and peace, I would suggest against bringing slaves and stuff.
- You can come with ideas for plots and stuff, but for them to happen, they will firstly require the approval of the GM's, and the approval of everyone involved.
- No psychic stuff allowed. I'm sorry for those whose races actively use psychic powers, but try to keep it to a minimum.
- As usual, respect the GM's and their decisions.
- I reserve the full right to add rules both now, before we begin the thread, and after the beginning of the thread.
