Futuristic 522nd Interstellar Marines, operations group Fox

The year is 2747 Sol and humanity has been under siege for 6 years now by an alien race known as the Garazi who are hellbent on the destruction of the human race. The only faction standing against the alien onslaught is the Federation of Independent Systems and they're not in the best of shapes. For most of the war it was mostly fighting around the outlying systems on the edge of human space, but a few months ago a huge invasion fleet completely bypassed the border systems and went straight for the core of human space. The fighting has been bloody and the casualties have already racked up to several billion by now. You are part of an elite group within the structure of the FIS' Interstellar Marines Corps. Your unit specializes in landing into the heat of battle ahead of the main force, securing landing zones and providing rapid backup to troops still on the ground. Through the months you have gotten used to the blaring of alarms, the feeling of rough landings and the rush of adrenaline when you step out into the battle zone. You are a Reaper and you have a score to settle.

Hi and welcome to this interest check. This RP is set in a setting that I've been developing for several years now and has a decent amount of inspiration from the Halo universe. The RP will be centered around a single 30-man strong platoon which is specialized in hot combat drops and will cover some darker themes and impressive scenarios. There's a bunch of lore, but I won't drown you with it as there's still a lot that can be done with player input to expand the universe. There will be several types of roles available within the Platoon which are mostly up for grabs except the CO role (surprise there), empty roles will be filled with NPC's. Wolverines are bi-pedal combat walkers that pack two mass-accelerated auto-cannons.

Here's what the rules of the RP are/what I look for in people:

- Dedication and the ability to post at least twice a week
- There will be no playable aliens
- Maturity in OOC interactions

You can pick any role that is open atm. Unclaimed roles get filled with meatshields NPC's.
