    To be around Xander is also to know what it's like to go through varying cycles of immense entertainment and certain frustration. Just as he is capable of providing anyone who is within the range of his physical reach and/or voice with a good time, alcohol recommended, he is just as likely to alienate them (albeit not always intentional). He's a radiant soul who is full high, robust energy, can create a good time from any bad situation, and make you feel included in a way that sends you into a genuine euphoria.
    
    At least, that's assuming all of the attention is on him. If not, then one might consider Xander to be quite the selfish S.O.B.
    
    Xander doesn't intend to sabotage himself. He has confidence that cusps on arrogance if given the opportunity, but he wouldn't say he's a bad person. Well, he'll never admit he's flawed, which might play into the arrogance. He believes some of the hype his father embedded in his mind that, whenever called out on his shit, regardless if he really meant to hurt anyone, Xander reacts in such an entitled, rich boy way that it can actually create a divide between him and anyone he might be close with. His head, which has been filled with thoughts and notions about being the one to inherit the keys to the kingdom, that it's created a lot of fractures within himself.

    The Esposito Family, otherwise known as The Esposito Crime Family, is one of the leading forces in the inport and export business of the West Coast. They provide not only the supply and demand of products that come in and out of the entire west coast, but control most of the docks. Their early beginnings were that of crime, murder, fraud, and bribery and, though it is hidden under the veil of legitmate business, their Silician Mafia ties still ring true and a majority of their products both imported from other countries and those that they export to docks around the world are disguised as legitimate but help grow the ongoing drug trade and gun shipments around the world.
    
    The family has expanded into various branches and there are separate Esposito families throughout the united states, but the main family resides in LA, led by one Giovanni Esposito, and his wife, Irish-Italian Andrea Penelope Esposito.     Growing up in the life that he did, in the beginning, Xander had always assumed it was a glorious life. He was used to the lavish lifestyle of the multiple homes that his family often spent vacations at, all ranging from the countryside of Florence to the euphoric vacations to Roma. That paired with the many cousins and uncles and aunts and his grandparents who all loved and adored him and his two siblings equally, the veil soon left his eyes and opened them to the truth. And that truth was, while everything he came to know was not false or fabricated nor was it a coverup for any financial shortcomings, soon when Giovanni felt that Alexander was ready to know about the truth that their family, though nowhere as much now as they did in the past, were one of the five great crime families of the Silician Mafia.
    
    Imagine being an eleven-year-old boy, whose only impressions of the mafia until that time were the Godfather and Goodfellas, some of his favorite films of all time and never putting it together. He thought it was amazing. He reacted to the news in a surprising way that had his father smiling.
    
    Oh, how foolish Xander was at that age. He didn't realize what that gave his father. He didn't realize the vindication his youthful grin provided his father with. How could he? How could an eleven-year-old boy who was obsessed with Mafia cinema ever know the waves of verbal -- and often, physical -- abuse coming his way? How could he know that his oldest brother Roman would alienate himself from the family as soon as he got accepted into Medical School? How was he supposed to know that any of this was going to lead to his father grooming him, shaping him, molding him into his last male heir to the family business?
    
    He couldn't. Nobody could have foreseen this. Not Xander nor Gianna, who worked for the family but wasn't a male heir, so she wasn't poised for it at all. It was all on Xander. The tradition of Esposito's leading the family into prosperity to carry into the next generation was all becoming a weight on Xander's life. He said goodbye to his blissful life, to his childhood because this was his reality -- it is his reality.
    
    And he hated it. God, how he hated it. He hated his father. He hated Roman for leaving him. He hated his mother for allowing it to happen. He hated everything that his family represented, yet the scars of his abuse, the scars of never given a voice that actually mattered never allowed him to tell his father the truth. So he buried it and when he got accepted into his dream college, he just did what his father wanted him to do, though in an impulsive act, he added a secret major to his business one that he hid from his father, in hopes that it would just slide under the radar.

    The best way to describe Xander's relationship with his father is that of having a voice in your ear, telling you that you have to do this in a specific way and failure is never an option. It could be best compared to the voice in your head always making you doubt yourself and fear what you might be capable of. It could best compared to a tyrant of a father who asserts his power over his children and expects them to do what he says and when he says it.

    If Giovanni was the hell that Xander wanted to escape, then his mother was the guardian angel that made hell not as bad. Truth be told, there was nothing more complicated than his relationship with his mother. Of course, Xander loved her with all of his heart. There was never a moment where he ever doubted his love for the woman who brought him into this world or how much she loved him. He's just...frustrated that she let her husband, his father, do the things he did. Maybe she was afraid of him too and feared what he might do or he broke her. Either way, there's a lot of fractures in the glass vase that is their relationship.     Roman was the one who was able to escape. He got out before any signs of Giovanni being the bastard he is now started to come through. Or maybe Giovanni was proud of Roman for being a doctor now. Xander will never understand it and probably doesn't want to.     Xander's entire relationship with his sister comes down to a single moment when Xander was fourteen and he was beaten up by a few kids at his school who heard about his family and wanted to see if he was as tough as the enforcers. When word reached Gianna, not only did she seem angry about it, but these kids never stood a chance. His 2nd degree black belt in kickboxing of a sister made quick work of them and he was never bothered again. Hell could have rained down on his life and nothing around him would've been able to surpass just how grateful he was for Gia.   The honest truth of Hunter Mason's life could be stripped down to two events that shaped the direction of his life. The first would be when his birth mother died from complications after giving birth to him. The second is when his father married his second wife and she and her daughter, who was two and a half years older than Hunter was, joined their family.
  
  Hunter's family is one of a complicated one. His father, who many know by the name of Jackson the Pincer Drake. He was, for about fifteen years, a famous professional wrestler. His entire persona was based around his ability to make anyone submit. His popularity skyrocketed in the mid-90s when he was signed to WWE in the height of its Attitude ERa. During that time, while Jackson reached to the heights of Stone Cold and The Rock before he would have cemented his legacy, like the complete idiot that Hunter came to know him as (part of him loving his father and part of him loathing him for it), Jackson forsook his career after meeting a woman.
  
  Her name was Ashley Hawthorne. She was described as a beautiful young woman with raven dark hair and eyes that could stare into a man's soul. She was gentle and kind but firm in what she believed in. Her will was unmatched and to someone like Jackson, she was perfection.
  
  Hunter's aunt Jade has often told him that she never saw her brother be so in love with a person. Ashley and Jackson, though they were seven years apart, with Jackson being thirty when he met her and Ashley just out of college at twenty-three, their romance was one of fairy tales. Hunter never believed in it, but being told about his mother brought a rare happiness to his face. In the span of two years, they got married, got pregnant, and on an early April morning in 2004, when one life was brought into the world, Ashley lost hers.
  
  the world lost an angel that day and it was difficult on the entire Drake family -- Jackson especially. He went through a great depression that lasted close to seven months. That was, of course, until he met the woman that was to be the second love of his life. Hana Lee, a Korean-American accountant who lived in Los Angeles. During a time where he endured both personal and financial hardships, Hana was assigned by her firm to help him. She spent most of her time at his mansion that was originally meant to be for business meetings, but something between them clicked. Maybe it was her striking beauty or Jackson's charm, but it became apparent that Jackson and Hana had something between them. And in three years, Jackson had a family once again. Hana and her daughter, Minjin Grace, often going by Minnie, moved into a new house with their new family. Everyone was so happy.
  
  Throughout all of this, Hunter didn't know what to think. It's not like he had the memory of his mother to latch onto. He didn't know his mother other than what his family told him and the frequency in which he asked decreased as the years went on and an attitude took shape in the form of Hunter's teenage rebellion. His rebellion often took form in going to punk shows, choosing music over school work and even attending Hollywood Arts where he had a focus on singing, his attitude remained. It certainly didn't help that his stepsister had been going there for more than a few years. Was he deadset on trying to make her life difficult?   Corey Elmo Preston, who mind you hates his middle name with a passion, never knew what it was like to have an unsupportive family or even those who favored excellence above all else. He grew up in sunny Los Angeles. He wasn ‘t abused as a child nor tormented for being poor or anything, really. By all accounts, the youngest of four children that Chander and Eleanor Preston had, lived a rather normal childhood. He was loved, supported, and overall, whatever interests he had, he wasn’t met with any form of criticism.
  
  His sisters Christina, Celeste, and Clara were all as they should be: older sisters who were overprotective and generally annoying, but nothing he couldn’t handle. Whenever he was bullied in school, they came to his defense. Growing up with them was a genuine pleasure. Still, likewise with his parents and especially because they had demanding jobs, Corey never felt he wasn’t privileged in his upbringing -- at least, not in the way that garnered media attention. He knew he was blessed.
  
  So why did he feel like he had to be as successful as his sisters were at Hollywood Arts. They all graduated with honors the year they did and for every intent and purpose behind it, they set an example. Maybe he put the expectations on himself. Corey never had any real aspirations for an extensive career. If he could make a living off of doing his art, he would consider that a success.   Mimi was born of the name Park Min-Jun. She never knew her father. Like her step-brother, she grew up never knowing him. The only thing that her mother, Hana, would ever say about him was how fortunate both of them were to be thousands of miles across the Pacific Ocean away from him. Though she was definitely born in South Korea, she never knew life there, thus she never had any difficulty adjusting to a new accent. Her home has always been sunny Los Angeles. She's never known where her mother came from but only that she loves going to the pier and the beach. Mimi's life has always been about her and her mother, the woman who made it big in the modeling world.
  
  She wasn't that old when her mother married Jackson Drake. She was probably five or six, a few years older than Jackson's son, Hunter. She loved her father because really he was the only father she ever knew. Because she never knew hers, Jackson quickly became dad and as she grew up, she was definitely a daddy's girl. She clung to him like she clung to her mother sometimes. compared to how it seemed Hunter developed, she was the complete opposite.   Simone was born to the name Simone Lucia Guiterrez Delgado. She was born on Hallow’s Eve in a fancy hospital on the executive floor in Mexico City, Mexico. The conditions of her birth had no extraordinary aspect to them. Her parents had the best doctors, her mother was well taken care of, and her father, per the tradition of every single father about to become a father for the first time, was a nervous wreck.
  
  About her parents, Simone’s father is named Simon Jose Guitierrez. To the citizens in Mexico, he’s known as one of the top actors to grace any spanish-speaking television (as well as telenovelas), though he has also broken down borders by appearing on a few American’ series’ as a male romantic lead in a few Daytime Soap Operas from time to time. As for her mother, Luciana Maria Delgado was, to put quite simply, one of the top models Mexico has ever had in the past five decades. Her face, body, and identity were all seen all around the world in fashion shows all over. She has been everywhere. And not just in the fashion world, but she’s even delved into acting.
  
  And that’s how she met Simon. It’s how the sparks flew between acting and modeling royalty. Two superstars with beauty as high as their egos, a love story told with a very public wedding that was as much of a celebration of their love as it was a publicity stunt. Their wedding aired on E!, which drew around 28.4 million -- second to only the Royal Wedding.

  Lance isn't a complicated individual but he also doesn't like to show his softer side that much. He isn't the type to intentionally hide that part of him, but when he's so assertive and aggressive -- and yes, even would get in your face if you tested him -- only a few people know what's under his athletic visage. He's an aggressive young man who has a toxic relationship with control. They abuse each other to the point where they either forget about one another entirely or violently attack each other. And because of this, he's prone to violent outbursts. His fists fly before his common sense has a chance to voice her opinion (yes her because only a firm woman can control his animal).
  
  All aggression aside, something Lance also can't control is his libido. In that sense, he likes to tease and flirt and have fun. But he'll be damned if he lets anyone think they actually have a shot. Part of the fun for him is getting the satisfaction of knowing he's so good at what he does that he managed to pierce through whatever walls were put up and the girl was so captivated by him that she fell for one of the classic Lance blunders. He is also quite arrogant and firmly believes that every girl wants to be with him and the guys want to be him.
  
  There is an insane sense of loyalty and pride that Lance has for not only his friends but also where he comes from. He will fight until he has no life left in him for both. This is his double-edged sword. While he is fiercely loyal and is there for those who show him the same loyalty, he goes overboard with it. Too stubborn to back down and too proud to admit when he's wrong. Lance's actions often have unforeseen consequences. What he might think is noble and right in the name of his friendship and admiration for those he does consider to be friends might be interpreted as going overboard.   The life of Lance Patrick Donovan is just as much a miracle as it is a tragedy. But to know his life, one must first know the life of the father he nearly escaped.
  
  

  Spoiler: tw. domestic and child abuse, alcohol and drug mentions

  Miles Donovan was -- yes, was. Past tense -- a complicated man. He has always lived in Ambridge, Vermont. His family immigrated from Ireland during the great depression. In his childhood, he was a troubled child but as he grew up, he found a calling in patriotic duty. He enlisted during the Vietnam War and the subsequent wars that followed. Any chance he had to serve his country, he did. But they eventually took its toll on him. Mentally, he was a wreck. He had one of the worst cases of PTSD any doctor had seen and, thanks to a bad kick to the lower back, he suffered from back pain a lot. Even after three spinal tap surgeries, he never was the same after.
  
  And so he took to drinking. And abused his meds. And when it came to his wife and only son, when he couldn’t numb the pain through the pills and booze, he took it out on them. His wife, Ivanka a Slavic-Italian immigrant from Italy, met Miles after his final tour. They met at her father’s sub shop. He was thirty and she was twenty-three. It was love at first sight. A year later, they got married and had a son, Lance Patrick Donovan. Lance was named after her favorite member of the round table and Patrick was his father’s brother’s name who passed away.
  
  Lance’s upbringing, as noted, is a curse because he lucked out with a father who liked to wail on him until the bruises turned bloody and a mother so afraid who couldn’t do anything about it.
  
  When Lance was in middle school, he had already shot up. He was nearly five-feet and he was starting to come into his own impressive body. And during spring day, when he came home from school, his father had been drinking at an alarming rate. And per the usual, he needed something else to take his aggression out on. It was during this the weekly beatings started but something had changed. Unlike before where Lance laid there and waited for his father to get bored, he instead stood up to miles and fought back. His mother was screaming in the background, telling him to stop but Lance only saw red. When he fought back and struck Miles with a well-placed jab, the older man lost his balance and fell down. And then Lance kept wailing, screaming into his father’s face, touting various curse words and facts of hatred at him.
  
  It wasn’t until his mother’s voice calmed him and their next call was to 911. The cops had known Lance’s father for years, but the Ambridge PD had a new commissioner -- a woman. And more than anything, she took a firm, proactive stance against domestic abuse, specifically centering on spousal and child abuse. This policy was the reason why Miles Donovan no longer lives with Ivanka Donovan and their son. It’s why he’s currently serving a 10-20 year prison sentence for several counts of abuse - including domestic and child.

  
  After the trial and they were finally able to live peacefully, that’s when the real struggle began. To make end’s meet, Ivanka worked a few jobs while Lance also worked at Ambridge High through a program that allowed him to work if he maintained a 3.0 grade average. It wasn’t the most proud work and he sure as hell felt the ridicule but he didn’t care. He was stepping up, but in his junior year after a bad break up and falling in his grades, he lost his job. And to make matters worse, his heartbreak allowed for his pride to go unchecked and his often misguided loyalty for those close to him and Ambridge.
  
  This, of course, put him directly in the middle of the heated rivalry between Ambridge and Auburn Springs. While most might limit themselves to just trash-talking, Lance was someone who liked to take it a step above. He vandalized, physically trashed places he knew those Auburn Spring brats hung around.
  
  But then everything changed when Ambridge High burned down.
  
  And with all of the memories, came an unfathomable rage within Lance.
  
  The rumors that were spread went everywhere from faulty wiring because of how old the school was to arson, which Lance was willing to believe. In fact, he was firm of the opinion that those Auburn Spring asshats burned down their school just because they could. And you bet it sent him into a rage when he would have to spend his final year of high school -- the year that was going to be the best -- at that god-forsaken school. He hated it more than anything.
