      Beatrice has always been considered a pretty woman, having the elegant and notibly beautifull D'Arco blood on her veins. Standing at 5'7", Tris is a well-built woman and prides herself in maintaining a strong physique, regularly working out and enjoying eating healthily. Although usually fair in skin colour, Tris' skin tends to darken quickly wtih exposure to sunlight leaving her bronzed in the summer. When asked to describe Beatrice physically, many people would note her striking blue-grey eyes or nearly constant smirk that occasionally blossoms into a radiant smile. Some people would also note her prosthetic right leg that she absolutely despises. Tris suffers with chronic resting bitch face syndrome, often looking bored or displeased if she isn't actively attempting to seem interested. She moves confidently though, always seeming in charge and in the know even if she is entirely clueless. Perhaps that is why some people are threatened upon first meeting her.







      Body Modifications


      Tris has developed quite the modification collection. She has multiple piercings on each ear and previously had her septum pierced, though she has since taken it out. She got the front of her hip tattooed for her eighteenth birthday, followed a year later by her sternum. After leaving the military, she got her right sleeve done and has plans on getting a left sleeve done at some point.

    in summary


    rae is a very bright, go with the flow individual. she loves helping people however she can and she does her best not to lose her cool. if something upsets her, she waits until she's in the right place to do so. she's not one to hold a grudge, once something is resolved or she's made her peace with it, she never holds it against someone. if she brings up something from the past, then that issue was never resolved for her.

    rae is also incredibly compassionate ands tends to be called "the mother" of her friend group. she cares deeply about her friends and will do anything for them. if she cares about them enough, she'll force her way into help, whether they want her help or not. it pains her to see her friends upset or hurting so she airs more on the side of comfort and reassurance over tough love. she doesn't respond well to tough love which is why you'll never catch her going a tough love route with her friends.

General


Genesis is a fairly lean girl, and while at first glance you'd think it was lean muscle, but it's not. It just her natural shape looks like that. She's got milk chocolate skin and brown eyes. Her face has a strong jawline and her eye brows always seem to stand out the most no matter how she wears her chestnut brown hair. It's naturally curly, but she straightens it as best she can most days. She was a little chubby in her youth, but she grew into it now that she is 5 ft 10 on. tall. She's not sure when she shot up it seemed to happen in the blink of an eye midway through high school. coincidently around the time the bullying eased up. She does usually wear glasses when around the house, but when out in public she wears contacts most of the time. It's easier for work if she's not having to constantly adjust them.

Clothing wise she's kind of a mixed bag. Sometimes she goes for an edgy look, but other times she likes loose baggy and warm. It just depends on what she feels looks decent on her that day. She usually doesn't go for overly sexy thinking about what her brother would think if he saw her out and about like that.

Personality
Genesis at her core is a supernova kind of girl. She burns bright and hot, and then explodes in what seems like destruction (ok more then just seems) just to restart from the beginning all over again. She's gone through this process many times in her life for better or for worse. She is currently in the process of starting from the beginning of her latest burst, but she is determined to at least try and change the cycle, or at least shift it for her benefit. She considers herself a fallen from grace type of woman and the wasted potential of all her and her families hard work. That's who she see's when she looks in the mirror, and her moving to the firehouse is her attempt to change that.

Growing up Genesis was pretty introverted because she was highly focused on getting out of her city and onto bigger better things. She dreamed of working on spacecrafts, or maybe high end vehicles, or even NASCAR to be honest. She was seen as a girl with high ambition and drive, but that was just the side effect of her true personality which was just obsessive, addictive, and a perfectionist. A perfect combination it seemed growing up but all that didn't last forever because when you don't recognize limits you don't know when you reach them till you've crossed the line. Which is exactly what happened.

Now she's tried to be more outgoing. Trying to talk to people and learn things from experience rather then books. She likes to still play video games, especially racing games because they usually have a lot of car customization, and do puzzles, and read which all are very on brand for her. However she does have another side of her that most haven't gotten to see. The part of her that loves to climb fire escapes to be at the highest point possible, that likes to feel the wind in her hair as she rides her motorcycle (cause yes while she does wear her helmet most of the time, if she's out on an open road with no one around or an empty parking lot she likes to ride without it).

She is often seen as a work-a-holic also because of her obsessive and perfectionist tendencies. She honestly prefers people to think of her as this driven, ambitious, and hard working individual because all of that sounds better then the truth. She's not particularly ambitious, she spent quite a bit of time lazing around for a few years, and even now she doesn't still dream of working on space crafts she's kind of just set on holding her current job. No dreams of owning her own shop or anything. Driven? It's not really by choice so does it count as being driven when she literally can't escape once she's fallen into something?

Between who she is and who she is perceived to be she is striving now for the perceived, and a bit more. a bit more lively, but she has a constant fear that she'll fall back into her old ways and be who she's always been and this is just the long road towards another explosion.

One one other note her addictive personality applies to anything not just addictive substances. If she finds a book she likes, she will read the whole thing in a single sitting then research more about it, it's author, any world building aspect of it. The whole nine yards. If she plays a game with a story mode she will play the whole thing non-stop including all the little side quests because due to her perfectionism a game is not complete until it is 100% complete. In these bouts she tends to ignore reality, and things outside of the world she's fallen into. While it will usually not last too long because once she has done all she can or moves onto something else to get hooked on it's over. It's why growing up she made sure to be careful what she was exposing herself to as not to want to ruin her studies. Now? Now anything is fair game in her eyes if it'll bring her out of her slump. She is an all or nothing type of person, you either have all of her or none of her, she doesn't know how to just kind of like someone or something.



Virtues
-Loyal: Once you have her friendship you've got it for life. She may not talk to you every day since she does get wrapped up in her own things a lot, but if you need a friend and you tell her she'll be there. No favor is too big in her eyes for those that have earned her trust. She doesn't feel like she has a lot of solid people in her life so she is willing to do whatever it takes to keep the few she has. She is a ride or die~
-Perfectionist: Whatever she does, she will do until she gets it right. This is why she excelled in school and in college (until the break down) because she turned in nothing less then her absolute best. Even now when she repairs things and cars she will fix everything even if it's not what the car originally came in for because she doesn't believe in leaving something malfunctioning or obsolete.
-Open-minded: Because most of her life has been her hiding behind a book she is very open minded at least now in her life to trying new things, and learning about different things. She wants to widen her horizon and be more then the person she's always been. She knows to do that she' got to be more accepting of different things in her life, so she's giving it a try.
- Helpful: She is always willing to lend a helping hand where she can. It's how she got into tinkering in the first place. Something breaks down and becomes an inconvenience on the home, but no money to replace it? She wanted to fix it. Need help carrying groceries up all the steps? she's your girl if she's around. If she can then she will it's pretty simple.

Vices
-Addictive: Gen has a very addictive personality. When she finds something she likes she goes 100% in and doesn't let up. this goes for her work, her schooling, and her extra curriculars. She doesn't know her own limits and usually winds up passing them and breaking down because of it. It's very hard for her to practice self restraint, so she tries to act impassionate about a lot of things out of fear of getting hooked.
-Inexperienced: Due to her upbringing she didn't have a lot of free time to just go out with friends and experience things. She spend the majority of her life with her nose in a book so theoretically she knows a whole lot about a variety of topics, but she's never experienced much of it to truly know what it's like.
-Insecure: Even though she's glowed up and is no longer the little shy nerdy girl who was bullied in middle and most of high school, that's still how she views herself. She still thinks she's the chubby nerd that no one would dare ask to the dance. She doesn't vocalize it fearing that it'd sound like a pity party and people would just dislike her more for it, but it's always in her mind. Despite all the (physical and mental) changes she's gone through since leaving college, when she looks in the mirror she doesn't see any of that.
-Fix it mindset: She is always trying to fix things. For her profession that's great, but for her life it's soured everything she touches because her methods of fixing things usually aren't the greatest. She tried to solve her problem of too much school pressure with pills and cutting out of her already small social life to dive deeper and focus more. She tried to solved her issue of disappointing her family by just not going back to them and living with basically strangers who were for the most part worse off then her so she could focus on fixing them. It boarders on an escapist mentality because it seems like she's running from the problem, but in her head she's not running from it she just is picking all the wrong ways to solve it. Especially when she tries to solves problems for others that they don't want solved and get's called nosey for it.

*WARNING: Drug abuse mentioned and death*

Genesis was born and raised in Chicago Heights which was only about 30 miles away from downtown Chicago, so she was basically from the city as far as most people are concerned. Chicago had all the interesting things, so on free weekends that's where her parents would take her and her little brother. Her father was an electrician and her mother was a math teacher at the local middle school. Growing up Genesis was a thick girl with dense curly, frizzy hair and iconic big glasses. Needless to say with her shyer nature and love of reading about space and playing puzzles she was an easy target for childhood bullies.

They'd tease her, push her to the ground, steal her things, cheat off her in class, force her to do their homework. What bit of exercise she got was from constantly try to run and hide somewhere they couldn't reach her. Lucky for her most kids were afraid of heights. For her that was a dream come true and she embraced it. She'd climb to the top of all sorts of buildings using fences, fire escapes, just about anything with decently solid footing. Then there she'd have her happy place to do as she pleased and focus on what was really important. Getting the hell out of this place.

She studied long and hard, and made straight A's. Her parents were always very proud, and her brother looked up to her while he was little. As he grew older and started realizing he needed to defend his sister things became strained because he was always getting in trouble for fighting even if it was for her sake. She always tried to make it up to him, but after so long the damage is already done. She always had his back with their parents (Even if they never listened) but she couldn't do much about the school, and his reputation there. The thug and the nerd is what they became.

Despite it all she did find things she loved about her childhood. When things broke around the house she took it upon herself to try and figure out how to fix them. They weren't in poverty, but they didn't have spare funds either. So it was her way of doing her part to help. Now at first it was more breaking and making things worse then fixing, but with time and maturity she became very good at at least household level repairs.

As she grew older her perfectionist tendencies started to grow so she was seen as an over-achiever in school always doing the best, always striving for the best, and even in the home she started tinkering with things that weren't broken but trying to see if they could be more efficient. by the time she got midway through high school the teasing had come to just about a stop. Instead of threatening her for answers people started to actually just ask, or ask for tutoring. Her image hadn't improved or anything, it was just people grow up, and life was hard for a lot of people in their neighborhoods...some of the kids just realized it wasn't necessary to make it harder. For that she was grateful, but it didn't boost her self-esteem any.

While there was no more physical harm coming her way the emotional parts still were being dug even if not completely intentionally. Always the last picked unless it was a science project for partners, never asked to any of the school dances. She wound up only going to her senior prom due to this and it was basically a bust for her. A lonely night spent with a couple good friends before going home to work on something else to distract her. People sometimes said High school was the climax of your life and she hoped that wasn't true. She hoped her life would begin after all this was over.

To absolutely no ones surprise she was the class valedictorian and had a full ride academic scholarship to her first choice school. She decided to go an Mechanical engineering degree because then she could work on any sort of machinery. She still had plans for possibly working on spacecrafts after all. Her biggest problems were soon to come because everyone assumed she had her shit under control. Lil Gen never did wrong, never got in trouble, top grades, the golden child that no teacher or her parents ever had to worry about...so she never learned how to actually cope if things did go wrong other then running away and escaping them until things were sorted out, or appeasing things as a way of fixing them.

She went off to College and everything changed. No one warned her of the giant leap in course load from her local high school to University level. Her freshman year was ok, but as time went by she started to buckle under the pressure. She couldn't just give up and go home with her tail between her legs though. Her parents had worked too hard, were still working too hard to support her though this. University was expensive even with the full ride because of regular living expenses.

She made a few "friends" and one of them midway through her sophomore year introduced her to a way to keep focused better. A bottle of Adderall here and there to help them cramp for exams and late night projects. However while her friend only intended it for that, an every once and a while thing for exams and projects...Gen had never been one for moderation. She used it almost on the daily for everything. She loved the feeling of being able to get all her school work done, and go back to working on her hobbies, and having a fraction of a social life. This was amazing! To her these were the key.

However soon she needed more and more for the same effect, a higher dose wasn't even enough. So she looked for something stronger with the same effects, which lead her to falling into an even worse crowd. Chemistry kids who had too much time on their hands. One in particular became her first boyfriend. Well boyfriend and dealer all wrapped up in one. Once again all good things come to an end, and she as usual couldn't help but burst. However this time was different. It was usually so dramatic, so intense, so fiery.

It was just before winter finals in her last year...she wasn't even sure what the trigger was. There was a huge crowd of people around for some event, and suddenly she just couldn't handle the noise. She scrambled to get the pills from her bag but as soon as she did someone bumped into her and she spilled the entire contents all over the ground. Before the stranger could even apologize she broke down in tears, and with a loud screech gained quite a bit of attention on herself. Worried people got campus police to come and help her, but when they noticed the pills they arrested her instead. They'd been trying to clamp down on the drug trade happening on campus for a while now.

Needlessly to say she was placed on suspension while she was investigated, but before they could expel her she just left anyways. Thinking that she'd snitched on him her so called boyfriend promptly duped her. His sketchy friend however wasn't so quick to drop such a loyal customer and took her in to keep her steady supply and stabilize her. Now she didn't need it to focus on her grades, but to numb herself from her feelings. She wanted to focus on anything other then her massive fuck up. She started hooking up with him, but that was also just another thing for her to be hooked on.

She told herself it was just so she could get back on her feet. She just needed this quick fix so he wouldn't kick her out, and so she didn't have to admit what happened to her family. She'd fix everything and go back to school. Not the next semester by for sure by summer even if it was to a different university. Plus this was cheaper right? Living with him and his roommates? It was fine. But a semester turned into three years of nothing. She honestly couldn't remember most of it because she was in a dazed high most of the time, while she branched out to different drugs in her stay with them.

The only thing that pulled her from that haze was when she got a message from her brother stating an old childhood friend of theirs had died and she needed to come back for the funeral. Well she didn't need to, but it'd be respectful since they had been close back before she left for college. She was hesitant because she hadn't really talked to anyone since she left for college, and especially not in the last three years. She wasn't sure how people would react to her now. She was even more of a disgrace then she'd been when she dropped out in her eyes.

One of the roommates convinced her she needed to go because there really wasn't anything here for her either. At least she had a family which most of them didn't. She went back and it was even more awkward and uncomfortable then she thought it would be...but her roommate had been right. She needed it. She found out her friend had died in a drive by because of a drug deal gone wrong. She hadn't even known she was mixed up in all that. Then again the neighborhood was even rougher now then it had been growing up which was insane to her. It reminded her why she wanted to get out so bad. It reminded her of all her potential she was wasting away. Of the wasted opportunities that others around her wished they'd had. She could do better then this...she had to.

With the support of her brother (because her parents weren't going to support her after finding out they'd been supporting a junkie this whole time) she was checked into a rebab center. She stayed for about six month before her impatience got the better of her. While it helped she felt like she was still wasting her time. She got clean for the six months her was there, and for about three months after that while living with her brother. She originally was going to go back to her roommates, but was advised against that. Fearing it'd be too tempting to slip up.

Not that it matter because she did in fact still slip up. She wasn't caught, but knowing she'd done so herself was enough. She packed up and left her brothers fearing his disappointment in her if he did find out. She got a job at a local mechanic shop and started trying to save up. She stayed in an apartment with some guys from her work for about a year when she found out about the communal living firehouse. The rent was cheaper so she decided to make the switch.

She is currently saving up money to try and and is restarting her senior year for the first time this semester to finally get her degree. She is also still trying to kick her pill addition, with striving for longer and longer bouts of sobriety each time. So far...1 year down. Lets see if she can do 2.

    Atlas has a terrible sense of fashion, mixing and matching clothes is not his thing and he often blindly chooses his outfits resulting in some rather disastrous combinations. At home however, he can often be found walking around shirtless because he finds it to be less of a hassle and it means less laundry, much to the horror of some people and the delight of others. His wardrobe consists of clothes that he picked up because they were on sale or cheap and the few good pieces he has in there were either plain colored shirts he got from the bargain bin or clothes his older sister and ex girlfriend Olivia bought him.

Born in Detroit, Michigan to a Caribbean father and an African-American mother, Tamika's father was a factory worker and her mother was a grocery store cashier. They didn't have much and always struggled to get by. Tamika has an older and younger sister and her mother struggled with a drug addiction that she had been enduring since her teenage years. When Tamika was eight years old her mother lost her job and became a stay-at-home mother. When she wasn't able to land any jobs she slowly went back to her old way and started using drugs again. Two years have passed and Tamika's family was spiraling out of control. Her father lost his job at the factory, the family was on government assistance, they were living in a run-down two-bedroom apartment and to top it off her mother was a drug addict. Her older sister would always have arguments with her mother who promised she would go clean but would always go back on her word. Tamika's father lost all hope in trying to find a job deciding to rely on the government's handouts and resorted to drugs as well. Tamika was twelve when her family was evicted from their apartment and her mother was off somewhere on the streets injecting herself with heroin.

Tamika's older sister was sent to live with their grandfather since he was only able to care for one of his grandchildren while Tamika and her younger sister were put into foster care. The living conditions of the first foster home were awful for Tamika and her sister. They were bullied by the other kids and Tamika didn't like the harassment inflicted on her and her sister. Tamika spoke up about the harassment and horrible living conditions and was immediately removed from the foster home. Throughout her teenage years, Tamika was bouncing from one home to another until eventually she was separated from her younger sister. At the age of sixteen, her mother was found dead from a drug overdose and her father was living in a shelter diagnosed with HIV. There wasn't a proper burial let alone a funeral for her mother, just a wooden coffin six feet in the ground with her mothers' name spray-painted on it. Tamika knew her life was hell on Earth. Tamika found the shelter her father was living in when she was seventeen and was able to speak to him about the decisions he and their mother made. She listened to how he regretted not being a parent to Tamika and her sisters. He also admitted that his HIV had progressed to AIDS. Tamika was devastated but her father reassured her that her life was just beginning and that their actions shouldn't affect her future. Tamika took her father's words into consideration. She graduated from high school and attended the University of Michigan where she received her Bachelorโ€™s degree in Political Science. She was twenty years old when her father passed away and she was able to reunite with her sisters at his funeral so it was a bittersweet moment. She currently attends University of Chicago Law School.

Body - There's one thing everyone notices about Madison when they first meet her. And it's her size. She's plus-sized and short. Standing at five feet, three inches, she also weighs about 275 pounds. HISTORY
Madison was born down south, in Charleston, South Carolina. Her parents are Elizabeth and Raymond Mathews, and when she came into the world she already had an older brother! Joseph Matthews, who is 3 years older than her, and promptly hit her with wooden blocks the first chance he got. Fun times. Her parents were working people, her mother a nurse, and her father ran his own convenience store so a lot of her younger years before she could be enrolled in school was spent split between her grandparents and daycare with her brother. It's because of these few years that they were able to form such a strong bond. When she started going to school, her parents' work-life didn't change much. Her father would come and pick her and her brother up and either take them to hang out at his store or drop them off at their grandparents. On days they went to the store, they did homework and then did little chores like picking up trash or washing the windows. When they went to her grandparents, they would do homework and then get to watch cartoons like normal kids. Nothing special really happened until she reached elementary school.

Madison has always been on the heavier side, and kids are mean. In kindergarten and preschool, it wasn't such a big deal but once kids actually started paying attention to what their parents were saying, those comments were redirected. At first, she didn't notice, but her brother decided to point out what they were doing. It obviously didn't sit well with her, and so Madison talked to her parents. They tried to be supportive, but it only seemed to get worse as the school year progressed so her mother decided to you'll a page from her old pageant days. Nothing but a light diet and SlimFast. It worked...at least a little when her dad started taking her on runs, but after about a year and Madison finally completing to her grandmother about it, it finally came to stop. But her parents instead started passive-aggressive comments. Her mom's favorite was "we need to start working out."

Her brother was the only one who never commented on her. When her mother was basically starving her, he would sneak her snacks. And not just any snacks, but the good fruit gummy snacks their dad kept on the top shelf. Biggin became a term of endearment from him and it wasn't until she was a little older did she understand that her brother was trying to make her feel better about herself. As she hit puberty, she only seemed to gain weight as she developed, which meant the bullying only got worse as did the way her parents treated her. But after years of going through it, Madison was used to it. Despite those, elementary and middle school were both fairly standard. Bullying, homework, an emo phase we will never talk about, and a singular boyfriend we also won't mention. Madison also had a pretty standard high school experience, though the bullying got a little worse. Photoshop is a mean mistress. She had a few friends and her brother who she could rely on which made things easier. Honestly, other than learning how to drive, her first real relationship and heartbreak, and a mean prank at senior prom, nothing of real note happened during high school.

After she graduated, she started attending a community college to get her associate's degree. During these two years, her parents tried to persuade her down two potential paths. Marry the man her mom wanted to set her up with and take over her dad's store or become and nurse to take care of her grandparents. And if it hadn't been for dear old grandmas and grandpa, she would have reluctantly chosen option two. But, during high school, she figured out what she wanted to do with her life, and aims to get a Ph.D. in psychology. With an associate's degree, she was able to get her bachelor's in two years and once she had that, started looking for instate options to get her master's degree. But her brother sat down to talk with her. He was never good at school, and barely graduated, so for the four years Madison had been working on furthering her education, he was working with his dad. And unlike his parents, he could see how much Charleston was suffocating her. So he encouraged her to look for something out of state. And...Madison listened. She applied to a few schools, and got accounted into one in Chicago! Her parents weren't happy about this, but they couldn't stop her from packing up and moving away.

It was time to start her own life.

Description: Chris is neither tall or short, standing at 5'8". He's slim built and one might even say skinny. His brown and slightly wavy hair is usually combed back, but in a more messy way. Every now and then he'll let it fall down and cover his dark-brown eyes. What kind of facial hair he has changes from time to time, he likes to experiment and try different kinds of things. HISTORY
Born and raised in the heart of Stockholm to Fredrik and Cerelia, Chris was their second child to come. They already had one daughter, Maria who was three years old when Chris was born. Only two years later his first younger sibling came along, Agnes, whom he would protect with his life to this day. The same goes for his other younger sibling, Emelie, born four years after Agnes. His sisters has always been his best friends, even to this day.

His parents both worked high-paying jobs, Fredrik was a politician in the parliament and Cerelia was a sought after real estate broker in Stockholm. Due to his parents kind of jobs, Chris and his siblings never had to worry about anything.
As Chris got older he realized he wouldn't last a day without his parents, they had served everything on a silver platter for him. This took quite a toll on him and his self-esteem. All he wanted was to stop living off his parents and make sure that he could care for himself when the day came.
At 16 years of age, Chris wanted to prove to himself that he could make his own money without his parents help. After school he would call his mother and tell her he was staying for a few hours to finish his homework. What he really did was sneaking in to bars around Stockholm and doing open-mic shows. Then he'd come home to his proud parents who thought he'd been a good student. Chris had always been a comedian at heart, even at an early age he would write down jokes he came up with or that he'd learned from watching stand-up on the TV.
For two years he did stand-up behind his family's back, until one day his mother got a call from his High School telling her he was failing. She asked the principal how that was possible as Chris had stayed in school until late in the evenings somedays. Chris probably should have done his research about the school, apparently it closed at 6:00 PM everyday.
Chris got a good scolding the following day from both of his parents and had to admit that he'd been doing stand-up. In a family of academics you could only imagine how they looked at comedians. He wasn't allowed to ever set foot on a stand-up show again as long as he lived under their roof.

He decided to quit stand-up to try to get a good education and a high-paying job. After High School he began his studies at the Royal Institute of Technology which only lasted for two years, he dropped out and began working as a tattoo artist. He'd spent most of his time in college learning how to tattoo, something he'd been interested in for a couple of years.
During his time as a tattoo artist he began to miss the stand-up days. Slowly but surely he started to do one or two open-mic nights a week.

At the age of 25 he got offered to do his own show at a club, this was something he had always dreamed of. He spent months preparing for the show, made sure that everything was as good as it could be. He hadn't told anyone in his family that he was doing stand-up comedy again, what would they say? They weren't exactly glad that he dropped out of college and began his job as a tattoo artist. The show was on a Friday night at a club called Norra Brunn, Sweden's most popular and oldest stand-up club. When it was time he walked up on stage and the first thing he saw was his entire family seated at the back of the bar. Somehow they had found out about the gig, he wasn't going to let that get in the way of his show, not a chance. The show started kind of rough, he bombed a few jokes here and there but it progressively went better and better.
Afterwards his sister Maria came up to him and asked him to come to the bar. There they sat, all of his siblings and his parents. He was nervous as to what they were going to say.
But all of them loved it, it was hilarious they said. His parents told him they were sorry for not letting him do whatever he wanted to. They were just so worried about Chris since he wasn't the easiest kid to handle in the family. They even had a surprise for him, they had booked him a flight to Chicago where he could pursue his dreams to become a comedian. That's when he found out about 14th Avenue.

Birth & Childhood
Robyn's mother, Circe Arden, got pregnant around the age of 18. Her boyfriend and Robyn's father didn't want to have kids and wasn't trying to have a serious relationship. He did however stay for a few months until Circe discovered several accounts of cheating. She decided to raise Robyn on her own and moved out, leaving her contact information should Robyn's father ever wish to meet his child. Which he never did, not to anyone's surprise. Robyn graduated high school and moved in with her best friend (Elliot) and their parents, her own parents kicking her out as soon as she graduated. It wasn't long after that Robyn was born. Circe's friend and their parents helped support Circe while she raised Robyn and went through college plus balanced a part-time job. It's probably why Robyn works the way they do, able to balance so many things at once. Because they looked up to their mom so much.

When Robyn was 6, his mother finished school and got a job at an animation studio. Circe decided to move into her own apartment with Robyn and Elliot ended up moving in with them a year later. Elliot and Robyn became close and Elliot became a big figure in Robyn's life. Circe worked most of the day and would be home barely in time for dinner sometimes, and since Elliot was a freelancer that worked from home, they ended up raising Robyn while Circe worked at the studio. Robyn wouldn't say Elliot was a parent to him, Elliot would laugh at the idea, but they were definitely someone they looked up to and still do.

Robyn's childhood was actually relatively peaceful. They had the support of their mother, Elliot, and Elliot's family. It never bothered them that they didn't have their dad or grandparents around. The household was peaceful and Robyn was raised with the ability of free expression and the ability to explore several hobbies. Reading fantasy novels and gaming became a huge thing when they were 11. Elliot's family bought Robyn his first computer and video games and Robyn got really into it. There were a few times he got the whole grade lecture, but Robyn worked hard to keep his grades up and work as hard as his mother did.

Circe never pursued relationships after Robyn's dad. In fact, she learned that she was more than likely aromantic and really only went into a relationship because she felt pressured. Upon learning this she thought Robyn that they should never feel pressured into anything, always do things they were comfortable with and want.

Teens & Now
Robyn's life became less perfect when they turned 14. Their mother was in an accident that took her life and Elliot had been away on a trip at that time. Robyn was sent to live with his father, the system having gotten into contact with him and him reluctantly taking Robyn in. Living for with his father was hell for the 5 months he was there. He father has no idea how to handle or raise kids/teens. Often neglecting Robyn completely and rarely coming home. Robyn's living condition wasn't good either. Since his father lived alone the only room was a small closet or storage space. There was a time where the power went out and Robyn was stuck in room for hours because his father wasn't home and the door was jammed. He developed a fear of being trapped in dark rooms not long after. Eventuallly he was let out when his father thankfully returned. Though the door was never fixed nor anything said.

After the end of the 5th month Elliot managed to get in contact with Robyn and find where he was staying. Elliot threated to take Robyn's father to court for the neglect but Robyn's fahter offered to sign over rights and let Elliot adopt. So that's what happened. Robyn moved back into his mother and Elliot's home. Robyn managed to slowly recover from being neglected for 5 months and get time to properly process his mother's passing. Elliot wouldn't stop apologising for not be there when she passed for a whole month.

Things slowly returned back to normal at the age of 15. Robyn entered high school and began their path of self discovery. By the time they were 16 they started using they/them and he/him pronouns and decided to go into video editing for a career. Elliot was always around to support Robyn and got a partner around the time Robyn was 17. Robyn began streaming his gameplay at the age of 18 and managed to get a part time job and get into college on a full scholar ship. He lived with Elliot and their partner until recently, decicing they wanted to live on their own. Thankfully, although a tad reluctant, Elliot fully supported the idea and said should they need to they can come back anytime.

Cameron Joseph Lloyd was born on March 17, 1995 (St. Patrickโ€™s Day) to Oscar and Miranda Lloyd. He was the youngest of seven. Six boys and one girl: Shane (1983), Rory (1985), Finn (1987), Melissa (1989), Dillon (1990) and Brody (1993). Oscar was a retired army vet (honorably discharged after being wounded in battle) who ran Lloydโ€™s Diner in downtown Chicago with his wife, Miranda. Life was chaotic for the Irish Catholic family, but the Lloydโ€™s always had each othersโ€™ backs.

Oscar and Miranda struggled, but always worked hard to ensure that their family was taken care of. Family first. That was what his parents always instilled in him. Growing up the youngest was both a blessing and a curse. He was babied, especially by his mother and his sister, Mel, but he was also picked on by his older brothers. This meant he had to learn to defend himself and to take a punch. He did both in spades.

Like his older brothers, Cam was athletic and always enjoyed being outdoors and being active, but unlike his brothers, he enjoyed time with Mel and his mom in the kitchen. He learned to cook at a young age. Having such a large family, help was needed in the kitchen and he was the only one whoโ€™d help...especially since his best friend, Lucky, spent a lot of time at the house, it was only fair if he pulled his weight. Despite his fatherโ€™s misogynistic approach to what a boysโ€™ role should be.

Once Cameron reached high school, he was groomed to be part of the jocks. Playing every sport he could: baseball and ice hockey were his favorite. He had it made. He wasnโ€™t the smartest, but what he lacked in smarts, he made up in determination and heart. But he never quite felt like he fit in with his brothers and was grateful for Melissa and his friends, Lucky and Gen, cause they kept him grounded and not feeling quite like an outsider.

It was in high school when he discovered his attraction to other boys. He was at a party with Lucky. He was drunk. Not as drunk as heโ€™d tell Lucky later, but drunk enough to kiss his best friend. He denied it the next day...or at least pretended like he didnโ€™t remember anything. Knowing his parents wouldnโ€™t approve he hid that part of him. His brothers started getting married and moving out of the house. Which was great for his parents. But when Melissa brought home Mitch, Cameron was ecstatic. They had an instant connection which was great because he was closest with Melissa.

Of course, his parents pressured them to get married and they did, which was great because it gave Cam a place to go other than home. Eventually, Cameron confided in Melissa and Mitch about his bisexuality and Melissa was there for him when he came out to his parents and siblings. They handled it as well as to be expected, but like most family โ€œhorrorsโ€ it was swept under the rug and rarely discussed. It was fine. Wasnโ€™t like Cameron had anyone to bring home.

He had already had a niece and a nephew when Melissa had announced that she was pregnant, but this was different. This was Melissa. This was his only sister and his best friend. Everyone was so happy. And when she gave birth to Maia, he was there for her as much as he could. Wanting to join the fire academy, like Mitch, he had been waiting for the perfect time, but times were tough and his parents were aging and he needed to help out at the family diner. As time went on, he could feel Melissa getting detached. He even went as far as to go to Mitch about the situation and was just dismissed.

When he got the call that Melissa had OD...he was devastated. He was enraged. He went to Mitch and blamed him for her death and a fight ensued. Mitch did what Mitched did best and ignored his problems. Left Maia with him that day and sent her belongings a week later. Heโ€™s been practically raising her ever since. Working at the diner, taking care of Maia had become his life. Thankfully he had Lucky there to help him out and be a source of stability amongst the chaos.

Then he had heard about the opportunity to get out of his parentsโ€™ house. Finally attempt a life of his own. He assured them that he would still be there to take care of Maia, but it was time to think about the long term. Maia would be his sole responsibility and he needed to be able to provide for her. So he enrolled in the fire academy and is moving to 14th Avenue.

Tall and muscular, Marlowe stands pretty impressively. Marlowe stands at exactly six feet tall with chiseled muscles barely noticeable under his dress shirts. With the shirts on, you wouldn't think he's jacked, but with them off, OH boy is he jacked. Biceps, triceps, quadceps if those even exist, he's got them all. Marlowe is a decent human being. That's it. He's a bit of a jerk sometimes, his apathy is strong, and man, does he hate kids, but he's not overtly a bad person. Sure, he has his moments of jackassery that go beyond his usual jackassery, but ha also has his other moments. Rare, but in existence, Marlowe has acts of kindness under his belt. Just don't piss him off and he won't piss you off, basically.

Other than that, the basic gist of him goes like this. Sarcasm runs thicker than blood: Check. His wit is only rivaled by his pettiness: Check. He really couldn't care less: Absolutely. His determination knows no bounds, cus' where there's a will, there's a motherfuckin' way: Yep. He's suave as hell: You betcha. Charismatic, charming when he has to be, and knows how to talk his way out of anything: Sure is. He's apathetic, but actually shows a hint of care if he likes you: Yepper. Lastly, Marlowe tries to act mature, sure, but he's got his own eccentricities like any other.

Disregarding the other deep seeded shit he'd much rather not talk about, that's pretty much Marlowe.

HISTORY
Here's the scene: Ontario Canada, 1990, winter. In an inner city hospital of Toronto, a married couple suffering from symptoms ranging from poor to middle class give birth to their second child. The father is texting. The mother wants a beer. Their eldest child is in the waiting room, futilely attempting to pants one of the doctors. It takes the father fifteen minutes to realize his kid was born. The mother can't be bothered to name the kid. The eldest child has broken into the nursery and is trying to bite off a baby's finger. The father gives a shrug and names the new child Marlowe, after himself. The mother looks to the father, then to the eldest child, who was also named Marlowe Jr.

That pretty much sums up Marlowe's family. Pretty much nobody cared enough to put even the smallest amount of effort into his upbringing. His mother worked nine to five, not caring enough to take care of her kids when she had time to spare. His siblings, an older brother, a baby brother, and a baby sister, were little shits to each other constantly. His father, a conman in a suit who picked up and dropped the whole family shtick whenever he pleased was actually the most involved parental figure he had, and that was saying something. The guy would leave them at the drop of a hat, he was emotionally abusive, and he took Marlowe to Disney Land once only to leave him there. He only remembered to drive back and get him the next day.

All in all, not a great childhood. Marlowe picked up a bit of his dad's charisma from the few trips they would take him on. Helping the guy out with a con was the only times his dad ever actually praised him, so he naturally tried to get better at it due to being so starved for parental affection. High school was a breeze. Barely memorable. He had good grades, but he never really met anyone. He never bothered reaching out back then.

By the time he graduated high school, he'd decided that enough was enough. He was out, he was through. Packing his bags, Marlowe moved South to Chicago, America. Sweet talking his way into a job and enrolling into The University Of Chicago, Marlowe set himself up for the long run. Money was tight, he lived in a cramped apartment with five other people and he was risking a mugging if he stepped outside, but he was getting somewhere.

One day, his mom shows up telling him that she's homeless, broke, and going through rehab. Marlowe, at this point in time, was actually a pretty sweet guy. So he, naively, bought her a hotel room for two nights. He could barely afford it, but he wanted to help. Big mistake. In a single night, his mom got drunk in the hotel room, drove over to his house, robbed him while he was asleep, stole all his clothes, stole his roommate's TV, drank every beer in their fridge, and stole his car. She then proceeded to drive over to a car dealership, where she asked to test drive a Dodge Challenger. During that test ride, she stole the car, robbed a liquor store, and kidnapped the car salesman.

Never again. Marlowe was never, ever sticking his neck out for someone again. After his mom got dragged off to prison kicking and screaming, Marlowe got his stuff back and went back to the grind. Getting a degree in law, Marlowe began sending out applications to law firms so he could finally quit his job at Starbucks. Eventually, he was accepted for a position as an attorney.

Henessee and Co., Chicago's most amoral up and coming law firm. When he started working for them, Marlowe still had some morals. You'd be surprised at how quickly ethics get a price tag put on them in courts, though. Did he help some people he knew were guilty? Yeah, he did. Was he going to hell? Probably. Did he lose a part of himself somewhere down the line? Maybe. But, being an attorney for the firm was one of the few things he was ever really good at, so he wasn't just going to quit.

So, life went like that for awhile. His job slowly grinded away at his moral compass while paycheck after paycheck rolled in. After a while, he felt like he'd saved up enough to go perusing for a better apartment inside the city. When he saw the ad for 14th Avenue, he thought it was too good to be true. And honestly, it probably is.​

    ella has always had a pretty good relationship with her mother. the two got along most days & were very similar, they also had days where they'd grow irritated by one another and argue over small things. a part of ella kind of always felt her mother was unhappy with her life and couldn't help but to feel guilty for a long time, despite how often her mother would reassure her it wasn't ever her fault. when her mother divorced her dad and left them during highschool, despite being unable to stop the feeling of abandoment, ella knew her mother had been waiting for a chance to leave, and a part of her was glad her mother would be able to find her own happiness now. their relationship remained a little strained through the years but they continue to talk often and sort out their differences.
    Leone Mossa - father - 49.
    it was no secret to anyone that ella had always been closer with her dad; the two a closeknit father daughter duo. for all her life her dad always made sure she'd grow up knowing that no matter what happens, with her father by her side she could get through anything. her father has always been her rock and greatest/loudest supporter, she continues to turn to him for help when she feels lost. the respect she had for her father only grew following her parents' divorce and her mother's eventual marriage to another man; through it all her dad remained happy and never bitter, and raised two teenagers on his own. the two are still close and talk most days.
    Luca Mossa - brother - 24.
    like with most relationships between older sisters & younger brothers, ella & luca would argue until they fought and do whatever they could to get the other in trouble. however they were also eachother's closest friend, ella protecting her brother from bullies & harsh words, and luca always there with a hug & comforting words whenever ella needed it. despite how much the two liked to act like they couldn't stand eachother most days, it was obvious to many they were eachother's favourite person. the two leaned on eachother throughout their parents' divorce, and ella was always there to reassure her brother whenever he grew angry with their mother's new life & family. ella tries to talk to her brother as much as she can, but is content to let him live his life and be there for late night talks whenever he's ready.
    Jack Hannigan Kover - step-father - 50.
    despite the stereotype of disliking a step-father who came "crashing" into her mother's life, ella was fond of jack the moment her mother had mentioned his name for the first time. ella knew he would make her mum happy and give her more than her own dad had been able to. it took the two a little bit to grow completely comfortable around one another, but eventually ella was okay with the idea of calling him her step-dad and having him in her life permanently.

    marlee was an exciteable and confused 10-year old when ella officially met her and welcomed her into her life as a step-sister. it was awkward between the two for awhile before marlee came to lower her guard and let ella take the role of big sister. ella was happy to have a little sister and made sure marlee knew it, she sat with her through many late night talks and gave the best advice she could give. the two grew closer as they got older and talk every now & then to check in on one another.

    the initial news of her mother's pregnancy had been a shock, and left many mixed emotions. ella constantly found herself switching between her own excitement, and a new feeling of dread, wondering if this was the moment her mother replaced her "old" family. the moment little acker was born all the dread just vanished, ella had found herself crying and already protective over her baby brother. it never mattered to her that they didn't share a father, she made sure to treat him as if he was just her little brother, and in fact, he was. ella spent many days with acker as he grew, always there for some fun & michief, taking him out to see new places and try new things that always excited his little brain. ella absolutely adores her little brother and would do anything for him.

Lynn and Xiang met and fell in love during their high school life and got married as soon as they graduated.
Xiaohui's eldest brother was born that same year. The two were loving and attentive parents. Xiang studied to be a lawyer and Lynn took over a bar her family-owned. The two never fought, if they did it was over who got to put the kids to sleep or play arguments. 3 years after Yunru was born, Zihao was born. 2 years later with the hope of having a girl, they got Xiaowen and Xiaohui. A boy and girl. The couple tried again hoping to get another girl, but instead, Xiaohui's younger brother Xue was born. After Xue, the couple decided not to have any more kids.

The family was close. Xiaohui's father was an extremely good lawyer, and it helped that his parents were a lawyer and detective, he had connections. Her mother's bar also did well and the family never struggled financially. So the kids were often spoiled. Xiaohui being the most spoiled due to being the only girl, from both her parents and her siblings alike. Xiaohui grew up well sheltered and with very protective brothers. There wasn't much she had to ever worry about. Xiaohui was an honor student throughout school, taking her studies seriously and participated in several sports. From dance classes, basketball, running, to martial arts. She had many interests she would join over the years and was a social butterfly.

Xiaohui's interest shifted towards business and the nightclub scene in highschool. Her brothers would often discuss their career paths and it would leave Xiaohui increasingly nervous about her own future. It was probably the first time she was worried about something. She graduated high school and went into college and at first, was an undecided major. It wasn't until she started hanging out at her mother's bar did she decide that she wanted to take over the business. She switched to major in business. She began hanging out more and more at bars. It slowly became her favorite place to be. Her mother taught her bartending and with her background in self-defense she was able to pick up both bartending and bouncer jobs. Over the time in college, she had several flings but never a true love interest, and was known to be a huge flirt.

After graduation Xiaohui immediately began working full time. Wanting to build as much experience as she could. Her mother promised to hand the business down to her, but until then Xiaohui worked at several bars and nightclubs. Whether as a bartender or bouncer. Sometimes even getting gigs as a performer. Finally, she decided to move out, wanting to experience what it was like living on her own. While she could probably afford other places, 14th avenue is the closest to her home and workplaces. Of course, her parents were shocked that she wanted to move out and were against it at first. Of course, her parents wouldn't force her to stay. But they didn't want her to leave either. Eventually, they relented after Xiaohui swore to visit often. So that's how she ended up here.
