Oliver's eyes widened at Nadi's outburst, a part of him was grateful that she didn't decide to direct her anger towards all of them. He understood that she was upset and that all of that grief and anger meant that she had been a bomb waiting to go off but he hadn't expected her to explode over something like that. He expected her to explode at the slurs and remarks made about Kaety by their classmates, the graffiti that had been erased from her locker and just the fact that she was dead rather than their actions.

Maybe that was inconsiderate of him? He didn't know, he felt bad for her because her best friend was dead but he still couldn't bring himself to feel sorry for Kaety. For her family and friends, yeah. But not her.

As he debated about whether he should go after Nadi his eyes flickered towards his jean pocket, the top of his flask poking out from under the fabric. He probably wasn't the best person to comfort her about it now, he could usually talk to her and calm her down. Or he'd just take the brunt of her anger until she was alright. But not today, he'd just let one of his usual asshole comments slip and she'd probably go all terminator on his ass. She had Ethan and Abelle, though he didn't know Ethan that well, they'd be able to help her and if they couldn't then he'd go see her after the Memorial. Even if she wasn't in the partying mood.

A party sounded good, it was how he usually dealt with things - throw a party and get too drunk to care about everything wrong with the world. His parents were in town otherwise he would have opened his house out for one, his sister usually stopped over at a friends house whenever he threw one. And it would be nicer than getting drunk alone in a field somewhere, his house was out of bounds - he drank at home but he didn't like getting drunk there. Not in front of his sister. So he'd usually go out of town, away from it all.

He did run away from his problems; whether it be literally or by getting too drunk to care and worry about then. It was better than punching his way through problems, that had all left him with a very colourful school record - though he didn't doubt that his Father had made several "generous," donations to the school to make sure that it wasn't the case. That didn't mean he didn't get angry, he did, it just tended to be fueled by alcohol nowadays.

The mention of a party made him think back to Kaety but that was normal, of course he'd be thinking about her when they were all trying to avoid thinking about her. Thinking about the fact that she was dead. It was her memorial, which they should probably be going to - if they didn't go people would probably notice and comment on it. He didn't have the best reputation but him not going to a memorial service for a student that had killed themselves would probably tarnish his reputation even more.

Something his dear Father would love.

Lia's voice caught his attention and his head turned around to face her, barely concealing his surprise at the fact it had been Lia to call out Tommy's idea of a party. He was proud of the fact she was standing up for herself but he wished that she wasn't disagreeing with the one good thing that had happened today, as far as he was concerned at least. He needed a party, needed to get drunk, if he was going to be forced to hear about Kaety and be told about how amazing she was then he was going to need a drink.

Though he felt bad for Tommy, the guy was hopelessly in love with Lia and she had just called him out. It was like kicking a puppy.

He didn't know whether to applaud Lia or support Tommy.

Instead he went with what was probably not the wisest thing to say, "I for one need a party tonight...and why shouldn't we? Kaety isn't going to mind is she?" He grabbed his flask and had another drink, to his surprise he'd been alright today. Mainly because he was holding out until after the memorial, he didn't want his Father to lecture him in front of the whole school and he didn't want to show up drunk to a memorial. Even if it was for someone he hadn't really known.
