Futuristic 1-800-HUNTERS // LORE

THE CITY
(This is pulled from the Interest Check.)
Welcome to Regalis.

The City of Lights and the largest metropolis in the human-controlled world. This city represents the pinnacle of human culture, civilization, and power. The city is controlled by mega-corporations, the seated government, and a drive for success. The city consists of everything from warehouse to red-light districts, and skyscrapers to slums. You can find all likes of people here. Even the alien races from surrounding continents have come to make an earning in Regalis. The city had its first breakthrough when the massive corporation Envio set up its headquarters in the city. The corporation was founded on the goal of making the human race stronger and more prosperous. Their innovations in cybernetics, artificial intelligence, and synthetics pushed Regalis to the top. Sooner or later, more corporations moved into the city. These included manufacturers, scientific researchers, and consumer goods resources. Soon enough Regalis was one of the largest cities ever. Everything sounds nearly perfect for this city.

Other than the fact that the government is even controlled by the mega-corporations, the slums are growing with people not able to live in Regalis and too poor to acquire transit passes, and crime is rising in the outer reaches of the city, the slums, and the ever-growing Underground. The typical, dis-associative Regalis citizen hardly notices any of these problems. They much rather spend their days shopping and relaxing rather than dealing with problems and politics. But some face the problems directly. Some people are robbed, kidnapped, even killed. Criminal organizations are forming in abandoned metro stations underground. The Underground is becoming a series of abandoned stations and ravines united under one flag. These small towns are home to the poorest of the poor and the lowest of the low. To the normal citizen, they are holes of filth and crime, but to those less fortunate they are a home where they cannot afford any other. Despite all of these defects in the system of the city it is still the pinnacle of the civilized world.

(This is new information.)
Regalis is divided into districts like any other great city. The divisions in districts keeps certain areas and facilities of the city away from the others. The First District is often called the business district due to the massive skyscrapers that are controlled by the mega-corporations like the Envio Corporation, or even The Lupin Company. On the streets, you'll often find businessmen walking from corporate office to office. The usual resident does not travel to this district, as it holds no real value to anyone but businessmen. The Second District is a combination of commercial areas and residential buildings. It is the busiest district out of all of them, as it holds most storefronts but not the most residencies. The average resident could find themselves in this district everyday. It has everything they could ever need, and even offers some living spaces where they could stay there their whole lives. The Third District is primarily the warehouse district. This area contains the many storage locations for the businesses and corporations. Besides that, there are manufacturers and factories in this area. It can also be called the factory district. The Fourth District is the residential area of the city. On the side that joins the First and Second District are the taller apartment buildings, and as you move farther away from the city are suburban cul-de-sacs. Home to the prime majority of the people of Regalis. Finally, the Fifth District is the most unspoken about. From the mouths of the First District, they call this district the slums. By the people of the Fifth District, they simply call it the Fifth. It is home to the most run-down businesses and residential areas, and also home to the largest concentration of homeless and ghettos. In that fact, the only district to have ghettos. This district experiences the most crime and is a physical representation of all that is wrong with Regalis.

For the bounty hunters of Bounty Hunters Unified, the city means something different than the normal citizen. The First District is something to avoid. The area offers nothing to a bounty hunter. Contracts involving the businessmen of the First District are often turned down by the bounty hunters. This is because of the "peace treaty" the Operator holds with the corporations. The Second District will be a very common spot for contracts and bounty hunters. It holds a lot of opportunities for contracts and money in general for that matter. The Third District is where the organization headquarters resides in one of the warehouses. The Third or Second District is where a bounty hunter may spend their downtime. The Fourth District may be a visited area because of the homes of possible clients, but it is known to be a relatively protected space by the local law enforcement. Bounty hunting is not a well-accepted profession in the Fourth District. Finally, the Fifth District will definitely be common for the bounty hunters. Crime and trouble brings bounty hunters. This will be home to many of the people you'll come into contact with in regards to completing contracts.

(There may be things I left out, so feel free to ask any question. I'm better at responding to direct questions than typing everything out in one post!)
