Slam down in New York City. The epicenter for everything, and I mean everything. It is where dreams bloom into gorgeous riches and fame. The buildings truly do kiss the sky.
While many may be keeping an eye out for a famous movie star strutting down the sidewalk, most do not notice the grimey, delinquent parts of NYC. Skateboard wheels scuff up the glimmering concrete. Crude, explicit graffiti tarnishes the sides of banks and businesses. These kids, they end up snorting cocaine, quaaludes, LSD, heroin, rocks, crack, shit -- anything they can stick up their nose or in their veins. Teens, they find this hilarious and oh so hip. The government calls it an epidemic.
Those who rule this concrete jungle are the businessmen. Dressed head-to-toe in perfect, crisp, tailored designer suits, paper-flat ties, gelled-back hair, and gleaming Mercedes Benz-es. They're all faceless, a copy of an infallibly rich copy. They are what makes NYC tick, but you'd never be able to remember them by name nor face. They spend their nights passing by velvet ropes, dining on minuscule portions of ludicrously expensive food, and slamming down their golden American Express cards wherever applicable. They pay no mind to those under them: the poor, the sad, the homeless, the troubled. Yuppies would pay anything for New York to just get rid of them. They're bringing the economy down, right?

A band of these teens, spending their nights exploring the streets of New York, dabbling in various drugs and possibly illegal activities, share a comune of sorts in an abandoned laundromat under 57th and 3rd. They aren't homeless, just "troubled youth" - picking fights that cause them to be kicked out of the house, or simply sneaking out at 1am to party with their friends.
One morning, this group rise slowly from their drugged-and-drunken-up stupor to find a sleek, black leather briefcase placed before them. This briefcase is stuffed hastily with just over one million dollars. There is no sign of the deliverer aside from a crisp, expensive-feeling business card from the offices of the Empire State. Down the block, a tsunami of cop cars tend to a blocked-off scene. One thing adds to another.
Boring lives flipped upside down, these teens have to figure out what the hell to do: keep the million, spend it on drugs and fur coats, but face the ultimate threat of being arrested and accused of murder; or follow where the business card boasts, and fill the oxford shoes of those suited men who were murdered. Pretend as nothing happened, done and done.
