It was well-known that Nathan liked a challenge, at least to his brothers. When they'd found the trio of girls, Nikita had attracted him from the jump, and Nathan thought that maybe he could sense her inner fire from that moment. That, and she'd made it quite clear that she wasn't interested, which only made him even more interested. He hadn't expected things to go quite this south, but now she would be under his control, whether she liked it or not. It was up to him (and his brothers) whether or not she survived the night and the morning after.

She stood toe to toe with him in the hallway, determined that both of her friends wouldn't be harmed. He just gave her a cockeyed grin in response, trailing after her to the car. The ride was cramped, but Aiden practically sped back to the mansion, and then the three of them ushered the three girls inside. Once the doors were locked and they were all in the living room, Nathan lounged in a chair while Alex grabbed a drink. Nathan snorted at Alexander's comment about just wanting a snack, his eyes drifting towards the girls as he responded. "Don't we all."

They did have a real problem on their hands, though. If any of the girls would be missed, it would be Nikki. Normally, the solution would be to compel them, but with the vervain bracelets, that wasn't an option. He opened his mouth to say take them off when he heard the blonde girls exclamation, and looked at her only to find that she'd come to the same conclusion. Only her bracelet wouldn't come off. Frowning, Nathan shifted in the chair and leaned forward, watching her intently. "Where did you three get those?" He questioned, tilting his head some to the side. "And have you ever removed them before?"

Throwing herself at the vampire to try and get out of the car had not been successful, as he just blocked her path until her friends were outside too. They were forced into the car and Reyna shifted as far away from the vampires as she could, feeling a little woozy from blood loss. Or perhaps it was just the adrenaline wearing off; either way, she had to force her eyes to stay open on the drive to said mansion. Thankfully, most of the blood from the tear on her neck had dried by now, and she didn't think she would die... at least not from the bite wound.

In the living room of the mansion, Reyna paced back and forth in front of the fireplace, not wanting to sit down for a multitude of reasons. She turned and walked, turned and walked some more, tripping on her third turnaround. She grabbed onto one of the tables to keep from falling, shifting everything on it as she did so. Blinking rapidly, she inhaled a shaky breath and blew it out slowly, glancing towards her friends. She heard Skylar and frowned; of course none of them wanted to die, but at this point, was it really up to them anymore?

Pausing in her pacing, she watched as Skylar attempted to remove her bracelet only to find that she couldn't. "Lemme see that." Reyna stalked over to her and grabbed Skylar's wrist, attempting to just rip the bracelet off. In that moment, Reyna felt something similar to a static shock go through her, and possibly Skylar, only it was much stronger. "Ouch!" Tearing her grip away, she stumbled backwards. "What the hell was that?!"

Aiden.

The car ride back to their mansion was rather cramped and even more tense, with Aiden gripping the steering wheel so tightly that his knuckles turned a ghostly white. Why couldn't his brothers just listen? Sure, Nathan was older than him and Alex had issues with authority. But after decades of him trying to protect them and subsequently having to clean up their messes, he thought they would realize their actions had consequences and shape up. Nevertheless, here they were, kidnapping three human girls because Alex couldn't keep his fangs in his mouth and Nathan couldn't give up on the chase. Pulling into the crescent driveway in front of a rather large estate, Aiden brought the car to a halt and disengaged the engine. "Everyone inside," he commanded, his voice deep and demanding obedience. He took up the rear as the vampire corralled the women into their home.

Aiden followed Alexander to the bar table, pouring himself a class of the amber liquid as well. His lips parted to comment on his brother's statement, but the man beat him to it. Placing the glass to his lips, Aiden peered over the rim between Alex and Nathan as he took a sip. His emerald green eyes flickered to the women, resting on Skylar with a bit of curiosity. Regardless of their current situation, he couldn't deny that he found their previous conversation engaging and entertaining. She was quite beautiful and intelligent, with goals and aspirations that he found admirable. It was a shame that her and her friends would have to die.

Moving across the room to sit down in a chair alongside Nathan's, Aiden watched in interest as Reyna attempted to remove the bracelet from Skylar's wrist. Almost immediately, she jumped away in pain, staring at the bracelet in shock. Letting out an annoyed sigh, Aiden took a sip of his whiskey before pinching the bridge of his nose. "Not only did they find out about what we are, but they also are wearing vervain bracelets enchanted by a witch to prevent us from fixing this amicably," he said, irritation clear in his tone. Dropping his hand to the arm rest loosely, Aiden took another sip before glancing in between Alexander and Nathan. "So unless you want to keep them here like caged animals, there's only one way to fix this now."

Nikita.

When Nikita put on that rather expensive black gown and mask earlier in the evening, she had no idea that she would later be crammed into a car with three men of unknown nature, one of which she had to sit on the lap of. It definitely tested her dignity, but Nikki chose not to fight or struggle, instead thinking of a plan to get out of their situation. As nonchalantly as she good, she slipped her mask off her face and dropped it in a way that it would fall in between the seat and the console. As a crime scene investigator, the brunette had spent hundreds of hours digging through cracks and crawl spaces with the intent of finding the smallest piece of evidence that would prove someone guilty. If whoever came looking for them was even half as competent of an investigator as she was, the mask would be a clue.

The car pulled to a stop in front of a large estate and, as Nikita climbed from the car, she nearly gasped in surprise. Certainly this wasn't where Alex, the reckless, stubborn, overtly flirtatious detective, lived. The home was elegant and traditional, and Alex was just... not. She took a few steps forward, waiting for Skylar and Reyna to exit the car before walking behind them into the house. Her inquisitive golden brown eyes scanned the area, searching for anything that might assist in their escape. But, it was night time, and other than a line of trees forming a perimeter, she couldn't see much of anything. "Son of a bitch," Nikki muttered just as she passed the threshold.

The men turned the locks on the doors, seemingly caging them in. From what she had witnessed earlier, if they attempted to run, the men would no doubt catch up and capture them again with ease. So, instead, Nikita moved to position her body partially in between the three brothers and her friends, willing to lunge forward and throw herself into the line of attack if necessary. At the mention of their bracelets, the brunette glanced down at her own, examining the intricate design and beautiful gem stones that made it up. She looked at the clasp, attempting to push it free before a burning sensation seared her finger tips. "Fuck," she murmured, dropping her fingers quickly and shaking her hand to alleviate the pain.

Nikita's eyes drifted from Reyna to Skylar, determination and anger in her gaze. But that softened when she heard her friend's scared tone. "Don't worry, we're going to be fine," she replied, a gentle smile playing on her lips. She turned her glare back o the three men, hoping that she was scary or, at the very least, intimidating. She turned her attention to Nathan when he spoke, crossing her arms over her chest as a sign of strength and defiance. "We got them from some fortune teller at a carnival. She said they were friendship bracelets that would bind and protect us. It was all some half-assed way to get us to spend more money on palm readings, not the work of a witch or whatever," Nikki explained, her tone annoyed. Her eyes flicked to Aiden, taking a threatening step towards him. "I suggest you rethink the 'one way' you're implying. Just because you think you're super strong vampires doesn't mean I believe you."

Alexander's eyes darted towards their three captives as they each tried to tear the jewelry off. It was unexpectedly ineffective and he was growing impatient. Still, killing them didn't exactly strike him as their best option no matter how strongly Aiden felt about it. It would likely create a bigger mess when Nikita went missing and that would draw more attention if it was found out that two of her friends were gone as well. Before he could say that Nathan's voice chimed in, his question directed at the girls. He was quite curious himself of why they had enchanted friendship bracelets. It didn't make any sense. Why would a witch be trying to keep them safe from vampires? Did these girls really not know about it at all? There had to be more to it. It was all too much to be just some random coincidence.

"Your cheap little jewelry can't be removed without sending an electric shock through you and yet you're still a non-believer. Why am I not surprised?" Alex scoffed as his eyes fell on Nikita. His glare just screamed how much she wanted them dead. Not that it mattered much since technically, they were already dead. "Shut up, will you?" he groaned, his British accent seeping out even more than usual. He was finally growing too annoyed with the situation to hide it. Up until now, he'd been somewhat amused by her little attempts at insults. Her need to seem tough was her biggest weakness. Just as he drank the whiskey from his glass she sent a dagger his way, striking a nerve. Just because you think you're super strong vampires doesn't mean I believe you. One thing Alex hated was being doubted. Was she dense? Did she not see what he'd done to her friend in at the ball? The fang marks still on her neck? Clearly, she needed solid proof and he would be happy to give it to her.

Logic, not that he usually had it, went out the window as he slammed the glass down onto the nearby table. He was up on his feet in three seconds and just as quickly he had reached Skylar's side. It wasn't that she was the target of his anger, but she was the closest to Nikita from what he could gather just by body language and what Reyna had told him earlier in the night. He wasted no time in sinking his fangs into his own arm and then forcing her to drink his blood. When he pulled away he let the smirk show, his eyes on Nikita while he snapped Skylar's neck and let her body drop to the floor. "I have a feeling you'll change your outlook soon," he told her. He knew that Aiden would be pissed, probably try to kill him though it would only work temporarily. Nathan...well, it was never easy to tell whether he would be entertained or irritated by Alex's antics.

Skylar looked up at Reyna, watching as she walked over and attempted to pull the bracelet off of her. It sent a shock through both of their bodies and left a red mark around her wrist. "Ow! That hurt!" she jumped as Reyna also yelled out in pain. She was still so confused about what was happening. Sky had never been one to be closed-minded, she believed in the possibility of magic and things outside of what most considered to be 'real'. Seeing this all play out in front of her now though, it was weird and she just couldn't process it. Her thoughts were interrupted by Nathan's question to which Nikita promptly replied. It was true. Reyna had found an ad for some festival and they got the jewelry at a booth for some palm reader when they were there. Nothing crazy or magical about it. Or so she'd thought until now.

Nikita, being the overprotective and tenacious friend she was, stepped closer to Aiden. It was as if there was some sort of power struggle and they were challenging one another. "Nikki. Don't. They are dangerous," she whispered, her voice still shaky. Nikki might've been hardheaded but the wounds on Reyna's neck were concrete proof for Skylar. She reached for her friend's arm but just as her fingers brushed against it she was being yanked away by Alexander. "Wha-Please! Don't hurt mmmm-" she started to plead but her cries were muffled by his arm over her mouth. The blood being forced down her throat without care before the arm was ripped from her mouth. It was too late to protest further, he had gotten what he wanted and she blacked out before she ever hit the wooden floor.

She eventually started to stir around and her eyes fluttered open. They were sensitive to the light glowing from the lamp nearby and her neck ached as she sat up. Everything felt different. The crickets chirping outside the windows sounded closer, louder. The smell of whiskey in the glasses the men had sitting out on a table and Reyna's perfume filled her nose. It was strong and intense, she couldn't shake it. "What did you do to me?" she questioned loudly, fighting back the tears that came from her fear. She could remember the way his blood tasted on her tongue and her previous disgust by it was replace with..craving? Then she remembered what he'd done to her. "You killed me! What is happening? How am I-" she stuttered as her eyes flickered to her friends.

With obvious interest, Nathan continued to look between the girls until Nikita spoke, telling the vampires that they'd gotten the bracelets at some sort of festival. Quirking a brow at them, he didn't shift his gaze even as Aiden piped up, though he did roll his eyes once he realized what direction his brother was going on. "You really think killing three girls is gonna be the answer? I mean, it's not like we've never had to compel an entire town before, but god, it's so much work..." Leaning back in his seat, Nathan pursed his lips. "No, I don't think that's the answer."

He stood when Nikita threatened Aiden, though he didn't move from his position in front of the chair. "I suggest we all calm down." He looked pointedly at Aiden, then directed his attention back to Nikita. "Now, I think we can all figure something out here, if only-" And then it happened. He should have seen it coming, but with his back mostly to Alex, he didn't. One minute they were all standing there, Nathan trying to think of a way to calm Aiden and Nikita down, and the next, Alex lost control. Nathan abruptly stopped talking as Alex fed the blonde his blood and then snapped her neck.

Blinking a couple of times, Nathan stared at the dead girl, then just placed his hands on his hips. "Well then." Looking at Alex, and then at Aiden, he pointed towards her. "Looks like you two have a big problem on your hands. She's gonna wake up soon, and she's gonna need a babysitter. Apparently she's not the only one." This time his pointed look went to Alex before going back to Skylar. "Congratulations, you two." Now he looked at Reyna and Nikita. "Your friend is now a vampire."

The feeling that had shocked Reyna upon trying to tear her friends bracelet off felt... electrifying. Her skin felt abuzz, and the blood pulsing through her veins felt supercharged, though she didn't understand any of it. She just stood there while everything happened, trying to calm her own body down and figure out what exactly was happening. Her eyes darted from person to vampire and back again, a feeling of dread hitting her out of nowhere like a load of bricks. In her minds eye, she saw what Alex was about to do before he did it, but she barely had time to scream her friends name before it actually happened.

Dรฉjร  vu washed over her alongside a wave of nausea, but it was too late. The vision that had seemed so real only seconds ago had already come true, and Skylar lay dead on the floor. Silence overtook the room before Nathan spoke, his nonchalant tone grating on Reyna's nerves. The wave of nausea was suddenly replaced by anger, her temper flaring as she lifted her gaze to Alex. "You... son of a... BITCH!" Screaming the last word at him, she took a step in his direction before stopping when she felt the world around her tremble.

Whether it was something only she felt or not, she wasn't sure, but one second she'd been planning on attacking him and the next, the crystal decanter full of liquor shot in his direction. It narrowly avoided his head, shattering against the far wall and staining it with the dark liquid. An empty glass followed with the same results, and the shock that flowed through Reyna was the only thing that seemed to sever the cord. Nothing else in the room moved, and then, Skylar was awake. She was confused and scared, but Reyna couldn't find it in her to move closer, or at all.

Aiden.

Aiden let out a low chuckle from his chair at Nikita's words, unable to really believe her level of stubbornness. She had witnessed their fast movements, their strengths, even Alexander's fangs puncturing her friend's neck for a scrumptious drink. But she still refused to believe that vampires existed and that the three brothers were the mythical beast. "I am calm, Nathan," he replied, taking a sip from his scotch once again. He noticed Alex slam his glass down on a table. This was not going to be good. "Alexander, don't..." the older vampire began, moving into a standing position to stop him from making a mistake. But that plan seemed to go out the window when the smell of vampire blood filled the room, Alex having bitten into his own arm.

If he was a more compassionate man, Aiden would have stopped his brother then and there. But something about the idea of turning one of the girls was interesting to him in a cruel, cynical way. Skylar wouldn't have been the one he chose, however. She was sweet, kind, easy to talk to. She loved art and baking, sure. But as a vampire? Aiden thought she would be too week, to unable to control the urges. Maybe that was what Alexander was hoping for. Sky crumpled to the floor with a satisfying thud. "Alexander, we've talked about this. You need to be less impulsive," he said with a shrug, moving behind the bar. Skylar began to move on the floor, so he added, "At least you actually turned her this time."

Aiden pulled a bag from the fridge and poured it into a glass before he crossed the room to Skylar. He placed the glass containing a thick crimson liquid in her hand. "Drink this, wouldn't want you killing your friends in a haze," he murmured with a low chuckle before stepping back. Aiden turned back to his brothers, pinching the bridge of his nose. "As much as I hate how big of a mess you made this, I can't deny that that was entertaining. But now we need to figure out what to do with them. We certainly can't release a young vampire on to the streets, not if we want to keep vampirism under the radar. Sure, our estate is large enough to house the three of them. But we can't exactly watch them 24/7 to make sure they don't escape. We still have jobs."

Nikita.

As much as she wanted to stare down the three men in the room until they turned to stone, she could. She was definitely not Medusa, and Skylar's soft, frightened words pulled her back to Earth from her high horse. It wasn't just her in this situation, it was all three of them. And like it or not, she had to compromise if she was going to keep them all safe. At the end of the day, Nikita worked for the government. As a crime scene investigator, she knew there were special protocols that came in to play if she were to come up missing. No doubt someone had witnessed her interactions with Nathan at the party, and it wouldn't take long for the detectives to link him to Alex. It would all come together, she just needed to keep them alive long enough. Then, she could watch the three men rot in a cell for all eternity.

Nikki couldn't help but roll her eyes at Alex's response, crossing her arms over her chest. "Because despite your overbearing personality, you're not the worst detective in the world," she responded with a sarcastic tone, somehow finding a way to both insult and compliment him in the same sentence. Her amber eyes drifted between Nathan and Aiden, intending to agree with the latter than she was also calm. But that was when it happen. Her sharp comments seemed to push Alex over the edge, further than she was expecting given what she had seen of his temper at the department. The sound of his glass hitting the table caused her to flinch ever so slightly, freezing her for a moment. It wasn't long, maybe a split second. But it was more than enough time for Alex to stand and move too close to Sky.

Wide-eyed, Nikita tried to stop him, reaching out for her blonde friend as she began to say, "What are you do-" But she couldn't react as fast as him. A grotesque cracking sound filled the room, and Nikki watched Skylar collapse to the ground. At that moment, time stood still for the brunette. Her chest painfully clenched, panic setting in. Her family was too small, she couldn't lose such an important piece of it, she refused. Nikita knelt beside Skylar, trying to remain as calm as she could on the outside. Given everything that had happened, however, she couldn't stop the minute tremble in her hands as she reached out to check for a pulse. But there was none. She wanted nothing more than to turn to the three men and rip out their throats. But Sky had been convinced they were vampires and, if that was true, it would be a suicide mission. Instead, she turned her hate-filled gaze to them and said in a cold, even tone. "You're all bastards, and some day, you'll rot in hell."

Nikita stood as Reyna shouted, echoing her own anger. The room seemed to tremble, and a decanter of liquor shot across the room barely passing Alex's head. From what Nikki could discern, Reyna seemed to be the cause of the telepathic movement. But that was impossible, wasn't it? Before she could even question it, Skylar rose from the floor, seemingly unharmed at all. Everything the brunette knew, all of the science she had studied, all of it was being questioned. If vampires were real, what else was? Witches, werewolves, even mermaids and trolls? How far did the so-called supernatural go? Nikki pushed the thoughts away as Skylar spoke up again, moving to her side. "You're going to be alright," she said with as much of a comforting smile as she could muster. She turned her attention to the three men, focusing her steely gaze on Nathan. "If she's a vampire, she's going to need help, right? The least you could do is give us an explanation. What is going on with her, and how do we protect her now?"

Alexander's smirk only grew as both Nathan and Aiden seemed at least someone entertained by his show. He also couldn't help but enjoy how the girls became angry. There was a hint of hatred and yet it was shadowed by fear no matter the facade they put on. "We're vampires, love. We were dammed to hell long ago," he quipped back, a wicked look behind his ocean eyes. "Well, I may have turned her but we all know that I would make a rather awful babysitter," he said in response to Nathan. The babysitting duties would likely fall on Aiden for the most part. Although he was easily the most ruthless out of the trio he was also the reliable and responsible one...somehow. Of course, he and Nathan would help but as for keeping a new vampire in line...it was pretty clear why he wasn't best for the job.

Alex knew that his actions weren't always the best, this being one of them. What was he thinking, turning one of these girls? As usual, the reality of his choices seemed to hit him once he'd already made them. Did he regret it? Was there a part of him that felt badly for what he'd just done? Not really. He was mostly just annoyed because now they had a new vampire on their hands and he knew well enough how much trouble that could be. "Well, I might know a witch who can set a boundary spell for us," he said, knowing he had never spoken of this girl before. "It's an old friend who is passing through town. Let's just say that she owes me a favor," he added, a smirk reappearing on his face when he remembered why she owed him.

Before he could respond to much more the fiery redhead was yelling at him. This amused him until her scream sent the bottle of bourbon flying through the air. It whizzed by him, just missing his face before smashing against the wall and into pieces. How the hell? The empty, crystal glass came next only this time he was a little more prepared and caught it in one hand before it could do the same. His eyes darted to Nathan and Aiden, wondering if they were as worried as he was. The only way she could've done that was if she was a witch. How the hell was she a witch though?! It made no sense. If she was then she could've fought back and she wouldn't have seemed so shocked about vampires being real. Then again, maybe she didn't know. "What the hell was that?" he asked sternly. His eyes never left hers as he moved a few steps closer to her.

There was a mix of emotioned running through Skylar. She was confused, angry, scared and above all she couldn't help the sudden craving. She could hear her friend blood pumping through their veins and all she wanted was to...attack. Fighting the urge to rip out the throat of her best friends was causing a burning in her throat. It felt like if she didn't get what her body wanted, what it needed, then she was going die. Maybe she was. What did she know? Before now she didn't even know that vampires existed so how was she supposed to know what happens next? The sound of a beating heart was cut off by a voice, which snapped her out of the painful trance she'd been in. When she looked over she saw Aiden, the smell raidiating from the glass in his had distracted her from her feelings of anger. His words caused her jaw to clench and it felt like he was reading her mind.

Sky didn't want to take it from him but did she have a choice? She didn't want to drink blood or become a vampire but she also didn't want to hurt her friends. There was no telling what could happen if she didn't drink it. Snatching it from Aiden's hands and downing the contents like it was the last cold water bottle in the back of the fridge. "I need more..." she said, her usually soft voice was cold and was filled with desperation. "Wha-what's going to happen to me?" she questioned loudly. She'd heard them talking, discussing babysitting the girls, and how she would need to be taught how to be what she was. It was overwhelming, her emotions felt so intense as she tried to understand. At Nikita's words she felt the reality setting in. She was a vampire. "I don't wanna be a monster...I don't want this Nikki. Please I don-," she shook her head. Tears filled her eyes but she wiped them away quickly.

Her thoughts and words were interrupted when Reyna, clearly pissed, pointed her anger in Alex's direction. When her emotions or her scream or whatever the hell it was, glasses and liquid flew across the room. Skylar jumped at the sound, her eyes flickering to her friend. What the fuck was happening?! She was about to speak up when she saw Alex take a dangerous step towards the girl and her instincts kicked in. She jumped to her feet and rushed to Reyna's side with speed she wasn't aware she possessed. "Don't touch her," she warned, a protective part of her coming out. This wasn't her, she would do anything for her friends but she never had the guts to be bold about it like they always had. Her sudden courage didn't seem to be something Alex liked and she could see it in his eyes.

Although Nathan had instructed the others in the room-- mainly Alex and Nikita-- to calm down, he had to say that the next chain of events had him quite interested. Still standing in front of the chair, he'd watched as Skylar woke from her 'slumber', now a full-fledged vampire. Well, practically, anyway. She needed blood or else she'd most likely go insane and attack the dark haired girl beside her, who just wanted to help. Thankfully, Aiden was on the ball, as usual. He'd gone behind the bar, grabbing a blood bag and emptying most of its contents into a glass, returning to the blonde girls side a second later. He didn't sound angry, just tired, which brought a smirk to Nathan's face.

"There's a reason you stick with us, brother." Crossing the short distance to Aiden, Nathan threw his arm around Aiden's shoulders, looking down at the girls. "I mean, I've got some handcuffs in my room." Shrugging one shoulder, he turned his head to look at Aiden, grinning. "Not that they'll hold a baby vampire, of course, but the other two? Sure thing." He'd looked down at the other two again, offering Nikita a wink. Skylar had drank the entire contents of the glass Aiden got for her, muttering after that she needed more. Removing his arm from Aiden's shoulders, he leaned down, meeting Skylar's gaze. "Trust me. There's plenty more where that came from."

Sliding his gaze over to Nikita, he rocked back on his heels. "She's not going to need your protection much anymore, sorry to say. She's a vampire now. She'll be herself, of course, but better. Faster, stronger, better senses... the works. Come on, you can't tell me you've never read a vampire book. They get at least some of the lore right." He chuckled, just as Alex mentioned a boundary spell and a witch who owed him a favor. Intrigued, Nathan looked at the vampire over his shoulder, quirking a brow at him. "And just who is this witch, pray tell? Anyone we know?" He started to straighten when the familiar sound of glass shattering resounded in the room. "The hell?" He turned to look at it, then spun to face the others in the room. "What happened?"

Reyna stood there, frozen to the spot, as she realized just what she'd done. Her mind jumped back and forth between "holy shit I just made that thing move with my mind" to "holy shit I think I just really pissed off a vampire". With wide eyes, she stared at the broken glass and bourbon on the wall and the ground. Nathan seemed confused, but Alex... oh, he knew. He had no doubt in his mind that Reyna had tried to kill him with a decanter, even if she wasn't sure she could do it again. He took a few steps closer to her, but before she could react, a familiar blonde had moved into her line of vision.

Reyna recoiled, recognizing Skylar a split second later. "Sky, how did you...?" Oh, man, shit was getting real. Too real. Everything was happening at once, and Reyna didn't think she could handle all of this coming to light. "I'm not staying here, and neither are they." Reyna stepped up beside Skylar, reaching over to lace her fingers with her friends. A quick glance towards Nikita told her that although the girl was probably shocked, she wouldn't ditch them. It wasn't Nikki's style. Feeling the power coursing through her veins again, Reyna returned her attention back to Alex, a slow smirk playing at her lips.

Of course, it wasn't all confidence. Reyna knew how to fake it til she made it, as the saying went. She had no idea how to control this power that was manifesting inside of her, just as she was sure Skylar had no idea how to be a vampire. But Reyna would be damned if any of these guys were going to lay a hand on her or her friends. The feeling of the power inside of her developed into more of a buzzing sensation, and the next thing she knew, every single lightbulb in the room popped, shrouding the room in darkness. Giving Skylar's hand a tug, she started towards where Nikita had been a moment before. "Nikki!" She hissed, trying to find her friend in the dark. She stumbled over something, and hoped to god it was Nikita.

Aiden.

Aiden's watchful eyes flicked to Alexander, knowing his words were true. The last thing he needed was another vampire with a reckless, impulsive attitude like the blonde male. The fact of the matter was that, despite the amusement he got out of watching Alex turn Skylar, Aiden knew that it was a bad move. He had lived for a few centuries, been through several damning situations, and wouldn't wish the vampire life on anyone. Hell, his brother turning was one of the worst regrets of his life. "I thought we talked about your little escapades with the other species, Alexander. They're nothing but trouble," Aiden responded easily, letting Nathan drop his arm across his shoulders before continuing, "I don't even want to think about what you've used those handcuffs for, brother."

Turning his attention back to the blonde woman, he waited until she took the glass and watched her practically gulped the blood down in milliseconds. The fledgling vampires were always the thirstiest. "I thought we talked about your little escapades with the other species... They're all trouble, Alexander," Aiden stated, moving a few paces back to lean against edge of an arm chair with his arms crossed over his chest. Taking a moment to ponder his friend's words, the vampire sighed and continued, "But, a binding spell would be beneficial. The last thing we need is these three running around, screaming to the whole world that we're vampires. I doubt the general public would believe them. But the less people that are looking into our life stories, the better. So, yes, get your little witch friend over here as soon as possible."

Aiden's forest green eyes flicked between the three girls. One was a vampire, the other apparently some sort of witch it seemed. And the last? He wasn't quite sure. Maybe it was her personality, or maybe the way she carried herself. Whatever it was, he couldn't shake the feeling that something was just inherently off about her. That, even though she was the only human in the room, she was just as dangerous as the rest of them. He just couldn't put his finger on why. Before Aiden could say anything else, the light bulbs in the room popped, shrouding all of them in darkness with the only light coming from the moon streaming through the windows. He heard the girls shuffle around before racing out the nearest door, and a light chuckle left his lips. "Well, I guess a game of cat and mouse might be fun. I'll take the blonde one."

Nikita.

Everything was moving far too fast for Nikita. First, she found out that the supernatural wasn't all that mythological. Then three vampire men kidnapped them. And now both of her best friends were not fully human either. And what was she? A regular woman without anything special about her. For some reason, that really seemed to hurt. But more than that, it scared her. Nikki was stuck in a mansion with a group of people who could probably snap her neck with two fingers. She was very aware of her heart beginning to race, knowing that the vampires could probably hear it. Nevertheless, she kept a brave face, refusing to let the others see her sweat. Alex took a step in Reyna's direction, and it was the brunette's immediate instinct to try and protect her. But, someone else made it there first.

Nikita froze when she saw Skylar practically teleport to protect Reyna and, aside from the shock of seeing her friend move so fast, she couldn't help the pit in her stomach. It had always been her job to make sure that those close to her were okay. But with their newfound powers, it was fairly clear to her that she really wasn't needed all that much anymore. And that hurt. But for the time being, Nikki decided to push those thoughts to the back of her mind and focus on the task at hand. Chocolate brown eyes met Nathan's icy blues, and she furrowed her brow at his wink and the mention of hand cuffs. "Not even in your wildest dreams, pal," she easily responded, crossing her arms over her chest.

Nathan's next words cut deep, but Nikita didn't react to them. "Sorry, I didn't have the luxury of reading those. I was more of a Buffy the Vampire Slayer fan," she answered, sarcasm and snark dripping from her words. Moments later, and every light in the room went out, leaving the small group in a wealth of darkness. Instinct kicked in, and Nikki turned to face where her friends had been moments before. Almost immediately, she ran into something, the impact making her bite down so hard on her cheek that she tasted blood. Nevertheless, Nikki grabbed on to what she thought was Reyna and pulled her with Skylar in tow out the door and into the foyer. Just a few seconds later, they were outside underneath the moonlight. "We've got to keep going, come on," she said quickly, kicking off her heels and leaving them on the steps before taking off in a dead sprint towards the forest. If at least one of them could get away, maybe they could bring help... If only.

Alexander could feel the anger corsing through his body, the crystal glass broke into pieces from the pressure of his fist balling up. As he took another step closer to the redhead he was slightly taken off guard when her blonde friend rushed to her side in a stupid act of bravery. "You may be a vampire now, darling, but you're no match for me. It's best you remember that," he said dryly as his eyes darted away from her and back to Reyna. This wasn't Alex's first run in with her kind, as a matter of fact, he'd been pretty intimate with them in the past as Aiden had not-so-subtely eluded to. He knew a witch when he was one but it was also pretty obvious that she was just finding out what she was. Before he could react to the smirk that spread across her lips she was using her newfound power to cause a blackout.

The faint moonlight shining into the area made it easy enough to see the girls scattering about but none of the men acted too quickly to stop them. It wasn't like even one of them really had the chance to actually get anywhere. The house had a long driveway with a gate at the end, a few trees in the yard. None of the neighbors was super close which they'd made sure of on purpose when they moved in. Not because they planned on just kidnapping people but they were still vampires. Killing and feeding kinda came with the territory and although some tried to live solely on animal blood, that wasn't exactly Alex's thing. He rolled his eyes but maybe a little hunt wouldn't be so bad. He did always have a habit of playing with his food anyway. Besides, even though Aiden rarely admitted it, Alex could tell that he was enjoying the excitement.

"Guess I got the bloody witch," he huffed and with that he was gone, rushing out the door and in the direction he'd seen her take. Maybe they thought the stood a better chance if at least one of them made it to find help but in his opinion splitting up was a dumb idea. "No use in running. You're not likely to find any help out here! Besides, you really don't want to make me kill another innocent witness, do you?" he smirked as he let the warning slip from his lips. He could hear Reyna's heartbeat growing louder as he took a few steps and knew he was getting closer. He heard a branch crack nearby and couldn't help the chuckle that escaped him. "Hello, luv," he grinned, as he came up beside her, seemingly appearing out of nowhere.

Skylar couldn't help but be surprised by her own boldness but she felt a need to protect her friends. Her eyes changed to a brighter color as dark veins formed under her eyes for a split second and she could feel the sharp fangs against her tongue. It was all so new to her and luckliy for her Reyna had another plan because she wasn't sure how to be a vampire. One thing was for sure, she didn't stand a chance against these three. Before she knew it the lights burst and the were shadowed by the darkness. She felt Reyna tug at her arm and call out for Nikita as she was being pulled out of the house. The moonlight was their only aid as they dashed out into the open air. "We need to split up. Run as fast as you can," she urged.

She knew that they had this one chance to find help because once they were caught there was no doubt that they would make sure not to let them slip away again. Using her speed she darted through the trees, picking up the sounds of nature all around her. Frogs croaking nearby told her there was likely a creek or a river somewhere and so she followed it. After all, she'd been told that water could lead her to a town. That was true? Wasn't it? She had no idea, just like she had no idea how to use her newfound abilities, but she had to try her best to let them guide her. Finally coming up to the creek she listened in to see if Aiden was nearby, surely he was better at this than her so she knew he couldn't be too far off. Still, she heard nothing so she ran along the river, hoping it would lead her to the road.

Nathan wasn't a fan of the unknown, so being a vampire actually suited him pretty well. Although Aiden deeply regretted his brothers transformation, Nathan himself couldn't be happier. Being a human sucked. Humans were slow and clunky, disorganized at best. They felt too deeply and were always getting hurt, whether that was physically or emotionally. He, for one, would never want to go back. But on the same token, it wasn't his place to ensure that Aiden didn't feel bad about his actions. Aiden needed to come to terms with who and what they were on his own; Nathan couldn't do that for him.

As the blackout left the room shrouded in darkness, he released a semi annoyed sigh and placed his hands on his hips. It was pretty obvious what had happened, at least to the trained eye. The fucking witch. But when Aiden mentioned a game of cat and mouse, his annoyed look slowly turned into an amused smirk. Aiden would take the vampire, Alexander volunteered to get the witchy witch, which left him... the human. Tsking, he looked towards where he knew the door was, where the girls had run out of only moments before. "Leaves the human for me. It's almost unfair."

His smirk changed into an outright grin as he sped to the front door, peering out into the darkness. Glancing down, he spotted a familiar pair of shoes and reached down to pick them up. "Barefoot and helpless. This is too easy." Tossing the shoes over his shoulder, he sped towards the forest, stopping when he reached the edge of it. He could hear her frantic footsteps as she tried to flea the mansion, and he sighed, taking a moment to lean against a tree. "Tick, tock..." He waited a few more seconds before disappearing further into the trees, locating Nikita with ease.

Speeding past her, he stopped a few paces in front of her, turning so that she would run straight into him unless she managed to stop herself. Reaching out to grasp her shoulders, he grinned down at her. "Boo."

Thankfully, the person Reyna had grabbed did turn out to be Nikita. It wasn't long before they reached the front door and then the front lawn. Nikita had kicked off her shoes, and Skylar suggested that they split up. Reyna watched as both of her friends took off in different directions, unsure which way to go herself. Fuck, fuck, fuck! She didn't like the idea of splitting up, but both of her friends were already gone. "Jesus christ." With a soft groan, she sped off towards the trees as well. "Nikki!" She hissed as she stepped behind the treeline, looking both ways into the darkness. "Nikki!"

No answer. Feeling a bit of panic welling up inside of her, she closed her eyes for a second, then reopened them. Picking a random direction, she started off that way, ducking under low branches and stepping over fallen ones as she fought to get deeper into the forest. "This is bullshit." She muttered angrily, feeling as though she were getting more and more lost. She sincerely hoped Nikki or even Skylar was having better luck than she was. But even so, was letting a newborn vampire go somewhere by herself really such a good idea? What if she did get out and run into a human?

Wanting to go find Skylar now, she'd just turned around when she heard his voice. A split second later, he was there, right in front of her. Swallowing a scream, she staggered backwards, her wide eyes locked onto him. Okay, this was bad, but it was just her, right? Lifting her shaking hands in a form of defeat, she glanced sideways, then let her gaze fall back onto him. "Fine. You found me." Despite her fear, her voice shook with something else: anger. "Leave the other two out of it. I'll go with you willingly if you let them go. If not, then, I'll just have to make something else explode. Maybe your head this time."

Aiden.

The pleasurable feeling of adrenaline flowed through his body, causing a small smirk to grace her otherwise usually stoic face. He most certainly wasn't at the level that either Nathan or Alexander were. But he was a vampire after, a predator at the top of the food chain even higher up than humans. In fact, his kind hunted humans, both for food and for entertainment. And he couldn't say that he hadn't been been one of those vampires in the past. However, if he was going to play a game, he might as well make it a little bit more fair for Skylar. So, he decided to make one more cocktail. Mixing another bag of blood with some vodka, Aiden mixed the drink with his finger before licking the blood off and downing the entire glass. Letting out a content sigh, the older vampire sat the glass on the counter, adjusted his tie, and smiled. "Let the games begin."

The speed at which vampires moved was always fascinating to Aiden. What felt like time slowing down to him was a super speed blur for the rest of the world to see. He moved out of the house and paused at the front drive, taking in a deep breath. It seemed as though the girls had split up, probably some sort of useless attempt for at least one of them to get away while the others are distractions. He felt the strong urge to rip them limb from limb, to let the inner predator out to play. But Aiden was more controlled than that, could keep his humanity turned on at least for the time being. So, he paused, closing his eyes for a moment, and took a deep breath to inhale the scents lingering in the air around him. His brothers were there, and their respective play things. But so was Skylar, the beautiful blonde with an interest in arts. If only they had met on different terms.

Aiden followed the scent into the woods, moving rather leisurely as he did. He could faintly hear the sound of running water, and was pleasantly surprised when he realized she was following it. "Well, she's rather resourceful, isn't she?" he said with a smirk, peering down into the water. With a shrug, Aiden kept walking further with enough distance between them so that she didn't pick up on him. Or at least, he hoped she didn't. Skylar seemed to be much more advanced than a fledgling vampire, and he found that rather fascinating. He watched her move from the shadows, wondering how it was possible for her to be so composed. In any other scenario, Aiden would want to sit down and talk to her, figure out the how and the why. But, for now, he would just have to deal with not knowing. Deciding the game was over, Aiden moved in front of Skylar, placing his hands on her shoulders so that she would run into him. "Nice try, darling. But I wasn't turned yesterday."

Nikita.

The rocks and twigs were sharp against her feet, but Nikita kept going anyway. She knew she was probably trailing specks of blood, most definitely her scent, for the vampires to follow. The train of her black satin gown caught on foliage as she ran, shredding and ripping it until it pulled free. At least it gave her a little more range of motion and movement, was a bit less constricting. As she ran through the woods, the trees began to thin out, dying and lost of all leaves. It was like something out of a horror movie, in fact the entire night was. In that moment, Nikita wanted nothing more than to return to her old life. To conduct science and solve crimes, to give people their justice. But if vampires were real, and so were other things that go bump in the night, how could she be sure that why she saw was real. Instead of an animal attack, was it a vampire? Or a werewolf? How many things had she gotten wrong over the years?

A breeze shot past her, catching the strands of hair that had fallen from her up-do to frame her face and practically yanking on them. There was a dark blur, and Nikita barely made out the dark colors of a suit and tie before coming face to face with the bloodsucker himself. She nearly ran directly in to the man, skidding to a stop so close that their chests were almost touching. She peered up at him, the grin on his face striking an angry fire in her. The brunette wanted so badly to slap that smirk from his face, but she knew that angering him would probably only make things harder for her, more dangerous. Now that she knew what he was, she had to be more careful, restrain herself more. Because he could kill her in less than a second and probably feel no remorse.

Nikki's chest rose and fell with her heavy breathing, showing signs of fatigue as she was not used to sprinting for her life in a bodice gown. Who was? She furrow her brow and glared at Nathan for a moment, shrugging his hands from her shoulders and taking a step back just out of his arm's reach. Nikita knew at this point that it was pointless to run. He was faster and stronger, but not necessarily smarter. Maybe she could distract him long enough so that the others, each hopefully only being chased by one vampire, might have a shot at getting away. Her feet stung from the forest floor, but she ignored the pain. Instead, an annoyed Nikki pulled the pins that held her hair up out, letting it fall around her shoulders till it just brushed her clavicle. The less of her neck exposed the better. "Boo yourself," she replied, crossing her arms over her chest in what she hoped with a slightly intimidating stance. Her tone was sarcastic as she continued, "Congratulations, you caught me, the human. What a consolation prize. So tell me, jerk, what's your plan now? Kill me? Drain my blood? Go right ahead. Someone will notice I'm gone. Someone will come for you."

"Here I assumed you'd put up more of a fight. It's not much fun when the prey just rolls over and gives up," Alexander smirked. Her next words were slightly more aggressive and even though he knew she had no full knowledge of her magic, that only made her more dangerous in his opinion. She had no idea how powerful she was and neither did he, but he was willing to bet she'd push herself to help her friends especially because she didn't know her limits. "No worries, darling. I give you my word that I will not harm your little friends tonight," he said, holding his hand up as if he were under oath. Alex was many things but when he gave his word he meant it. No harm would come to her friend by him tonight, he couldn't very well speak for his brothers though. Did that make his promise wicked? Probably so.

He gave her the once over, wondering if she was planning to dart off again. Not that she would get far and something told her that she knew that. "We both know you aren't very in control of your powers and contrary to popular belief, I really don't want to kill you," he assured her, his grin never faltering. Reaching out her grabbed her hand and with lightning speed, he pulled her off back to the house. "Looks like I'm the first one back. Maybe your friends will find help after all," he shrugged, a laugh escaping him at the absurd notion. Even if they did get help, it wasn't likely they'd find someone who could compete with three vampires. They'd be luckier if the blonde girl didn't find help. As a new vampire, she was likely to rip out the throat of any human she did come across.

The sound of the rushing water was the only thing giving her hope. Hope that she could find help for her friends and save them from whatever doom they'd meet at the hands of these men who'd kidnapped them. Then again, what would she do if they did manage to get away? It wasn't like she could settle back into her old life. She was a vampire now. How would she deal with that? Before she could think about it further she was suddenly coming to a halt, Aiden standing in front of her where he had appeared out of thin air. Before she could say anything in response her ears picked up a sound, Reyna and Nikita had seemingly both run into the other vampires which meant that none of them had found help. Her eyes flashed up to look into his and she nodded, as if accepting defeat but at the slightest hint of his guard being let down she used the speed she had to the best of her ability and took off.

The water finally led her to a road but she was certain that Aiden wasn't far behind and although she'd slipped past him once, she knew he wouldn't let it happen again. A truck coming down the road gave her some relief and she jumped out into the street, frantically waving her arms for the person to stop. When they did she ran up to the door just as they swung it open. "A-are you okay miss? Do you need a ride? Did you break down?" the man questioned as he looked around the empty area. Skylar found herself frozen. Unable to answer or focus on anything but the sound of his heartbeat. She didn't even notice when the dark veins graced the pale skin under her bright blue eyes and before she knew it she was lunging at the man. What was happening to her? She couldn't help herself, much less stop herself as she drank from the pulsing veins in his neck. It was clear that she was slowly killing him but she couldn't pull away.

Why were humans always so easy? Did they not read or know any vampire lore? Sure, there were movies out there like Twilight who hardly got anything right, but then again, there were classics, too! Shouldn't someone as sophisticated as Nikita know that Nathan would be able to hear every move she made, and hunt her down like she was a sheep? After leaving the porch, it had taken him about three seconds to reach her, and another millisecond to place himself in front of her. Holding her by the shoulders, he glanced down, noting that her feet were bare and dirty-- he wasn't surprised there-- and that her dress had been torn by the trees and shrubbery as she ran past.

For a moment, they just stared at each other. He was amused; she was angry. He liked the fire in her eyes; it would at least make things interesting. She shrugged away from his grip and though he could have held her, he let her go, both knowing now that running was pointless. He leaned against a tree, letting out a low but appreciative whistle when she let her hair down. "You look good with your hair down. You don't do it often though, do you?" Not that she looked bad with her hair up, though. In fact, she looked quite regal that way-- but there was something about a woman with her hair down that he just loved.

She congratulated him, her tone sarcastic. "Are you sure you're human?" He tilted his head, regarding her carefully. "Your friend, the witch. The look in her eyes tells me she had no idea about her powers, but the powers themselves tell me that she's had them for a long time. Are you sure she didn't know?" He pushed himself off of the tree, approaching her again. Placing a hand over his heart, he feigned hurt at her name calling and accusations. "That hurts." He pouted. "Can't we just get along?" He smiled then, a predatory one, as his eyes flicked back in the direction of the house. "You should head back, pretty. Or I can carry you, if you'd rather."
