Welcome to Oak Hills, the small town famous for the breathtaking landscapes surrounding it. Being encircled by large pine-covered hills and a somewhat hidden river, the town is very famous for being an amazing camping and hiking area, or at least it used to be before the tragic events of Jake Sullivan's mysterious murder, which took place two years ago, back in 2018.

Oak Hills being a small town, most people knew each other. The community was connected, and Jake Sullivan was the bright star of the town, the town's golden boy. He was nice to people, especially the elderly, and was one of the most popular students attending the high school, even though he was only 15 at the time of his disappearance.

Some people loved him, and some despised him and said he had been acting fake. While that might have been partially true, Jake had been nothing but honest with the people closest to him, those people being his best friend, his girlfriend, and lastly, his family. Truth was, his family, the Sullivans, had always been the family other families looked up to, but also the family other people envied. The Sullivans appeared perfect from the outside, even though that might not have been what was going on behind the curtains. However, once Jake's lifeless body had been found, the curtains slowly opened, revealing that the Sullivans had their struggles and their battles, just like everybody else.

Of course, Jake's murder, which remains a mystery yet today almost two years after it had taken place, hadn't only shaken his family, but also his best friend and his girlfriend, who often hung out together. The trio, a quartet together with Scott, Jake's brother, was now missing its crucial member.

Nevertheless, that was almost two years ago.

Right now, the sun had come out barely two hours ago, and the rays of sunshine had been waking up the citizens of the small town, alerting them that it was time to get out of their beds and be productive. It had been yet another normal Saturday, the start of the weekend, or at least it seemed like that. The reality, however, was quite different.

The week before was when the arrival of a new family to the small town happened, but it didn't exactly go as planned. Coming into the city, everything seemed perfectly normal, and as the family of five was getting settled into their new town, a lot of people looked at them, especially Nathan, with a startled and astonished face expression, much like they have witnessed a ghost walking among them. Nathan didn't mind it, but he didn't expect the town to be this negative about newcomers.

Of course, it was only later in the week, when the police arrived at their new house, that the White family was informed on why everybody had been so surprised. Nathan White, the one that was in the center of this police visit, was planning to spend the afternoon unpacking his boxes into his newly painted room. However, that wasn't possible, considering he and his family had to spend it at the police station, proving he wasn't the murdered teenager Jake Sullivan.

While both of Nathan's parents wished Nathan just looked similar to the dead boy, the resemblance between the two was uncanny, almost like they were the same person, and this brought a lot of doubt into the family.

The story about a new boy, one who shared a face with the famous Jake Sullivan spread fast across the small town and even made the cover of a local newspaper the next day.

The mayor of the town, Alicia Stone, decided it would be best if the people closest to Jake met Nathan so that all of the shock and disbelief could be solved and so the town and all the people could safely move on and continue with their lives. She had decided that the meeting would be taking place this Saturday in the local high school, seeing almost nobody is in or around the high school on a Saturday, so the meeting wouldn't be disturbed.

Jake's parents, still being heartbroken over the loss of their child, refused to attend the meeting afraid of opening wounds which were still healing, and Nathan's parents, being confused about the whole situation, refused to attend the meeting, but allowed Nathan to go if his sister Sasha accompanied him to it.

Nathan was already up, sitting at the big family table eating cereal. He didn't know how to feel about the whole situation, and that made it even worse. He should've at least felt something, but all he felt was the regret of coming to the town and being the center of people's attention. He was nervous about how the meeting was going to go as he was aware that he wasn't Jake Sullivan, like not at all, and was frightened of the reactions he would get from Jake's family and friends. He was afraid that they would think he was Jake or at least similar to Jake on the inside, not just the outside.

Seeing the picture of your deceased little brother on the cover of a newspaper was something that Scott Sullivan thought he would only be subjected to once in his lifetime. Life could be a cruel mistress, because when Nathan White entered the town, Scott was again met with the newspaper -- only this time it wasn't his little brother, but his identical twin. He'd spent hours staring at the newspaper dropped at his parents' house, his eyes trying to find some tiny detail in this new boy's face to prove to himself that it wasn't Jake. But the more he looked, the less he could find, and the more he could feel himself crumbling down.

The mayor's suggestion was insane -- meet the new guy so that the town could move on? Please, as if they would ever be able to. His parents had been too torn up to agree to go, but Scott had jumped on board immediately. Because the more that he looked at the newspaper, the more he was convinced that this was Jake and these "Whites" had just kidnapped his brother. Brainwashed him or something. It didn't matter that they had found his body out by the river -- this had to be Jake.

This hope is what had caused Scott to wake up early in the morning, hours before he was supposed to meet KJ and Kim. And he wasn't ready -- at all. Instead, he spent the hours pacing in his room. Back and forth, back and forth. His gaze fell on the newspaper again and Scott had to flip it over. He couldn't keep looking at that face.

A simple high -- that was all he needed. So, while he was getting ready to go, Scott made sure to settle his nerves with a simple candy. It relaxed him... mostly, and then he was on his way to the coffee shop to meet up, gather together their courage, and then make the trip to the high school. It had been years since Scott had last stepped foot through the halls, and he wasn't exactly excited about having to go back there. There were just... too many memories.

-------

Scott was now seated at one of the small tables at the front of the coffee shop, waiting for KJ and Kim to show up. His foot tapped against the ground, and his fingers tapped against the cardboard material of his cup. His gaze was focused on the top of the cup itself, watching as steam billowed out of the top, and while he tried to calm himself.

Okay, so one candy hadn't been nearly enough.

One hand pulled away from the cup to rub at his eye. He was tired. Scott was always tired. There hadn't been a night since Jake's death that he had woken up feeling refreshed, or managed to sleep without tossing and turning in his bed. The back of his hand rubbed at his eye, then at his nose, then returned to tapping on his cup.

Where were they? Granted, Scott had shown up half an hour early, and has he looked at the watch on his wrist, he could see that they still had a couple minutes before their actual meeting time.

Have you ever gotten a feeling like something was missing? Like you'd misplaced some object and couldn't seem to find it or figure out what it was no matter how hard you looked? That's how KJ Wilde ad felt ever since Jake had been gone. Like something important was missing. Every time he left his house he felt a sudden urge to go back inside because he'd forgotten something when there was nothing there to recover. That same kind of feeling passed over him every time he drove past the Sullivan's home. He'd found himself, on more than one occasion, standing just outside the fence gate that he used to go through to enter the home through the back door. KJ couldn't remember the last time he'd done that. Sure, Scott was still there and as far as KJ could tell he wasn't exactly over this whole thing, but he just felt weird. Like the Sullivan's home was some kind of sacred ground he didn't dare set foot in. KJ didn't know if they'd cleaned out Jake's room or not, he hoped they hadn't. He thought maybe, one day when he'd built up the courage he could go back there and maybe it would make him feel better. That was a silly notion, a sentimental one, but he couldn't help it. He'd spent so much time in that room growing up that it was like a second home, a safe haven away from everything outside. It was hard to think he might never set foot in it again, at least not like it was. He had never gotten the courage. He'd said hi to Mrs. Sullivan on a view occasions and received a few sympathetic pats on the shoulder from Mr. Sullivan, but other than that is was like he had just disappeared. KJ couldn't look at Scotty and not see Jake, he couldn't look at that house and not feel like it was empty. So he chose not to look. Maybe that was selfish but that's the only way he knew how to deal with this. But when he saw that newspaper that feeling that something was missing that had been following him around for two years was suddenly gone. Like a switch flipped in his head, for a moment he was okay because that was Jake. It had to be Jake. God, it looked just like him there was no way that wasn't Jake. Now, nothing was missing even if KJ knew deep down that it couldn't be Jake. He wanted it to be him so bad that he convinced himself that it was, if only briefly.

KJ exited his house with his mother hot on his heels. She was fussing about this whole thing being stressful and maybe he shouldn't go. But KJ knew that he had to. He wasn't going to leave Scotty and Kim to handle this on their own. After all, with how bad of a friend he had been lately, he owed them at least that. He had still hung out with them when he could, they did serve to help him feel a little better most of the time. It was easier to spend time with Kim since they were both still in school and Scott hadn't really been handling this well. None of them had. But you could see it on Scott and all that did was drag KJ further down. Sometimes, he just felt like he wanted to forget Jake ever existed. Make new friends become a new person. But it was hard to do that when everyone and their dog knew who you were and handled you like you were some fragile piece of china. That was probably the worst part about being in a small town when something like this happens, the coddling. There was nothing that KJ hated in this world more than being coddled. Pity. They could shove their pity back down their throats. KJ didn't need everyone to be nice to him. If anything that just made everything harder, like a constant reminder every day. Hey, your best friends dead so I'm going to be as nice to you as I possibly can because it's socially correct. It wasn't like it was just the old people either. Everyone was doing it. The kids at school that had always been indifferent to him patting him on the back every time he passed them in the hallway, his coach giving him extra playtime in games and his sub not being mad about it, but the worst of it was his parents. Every single fucking night, his mother would come into his room and kneel next to his bed, hold his hand, and start praying. KJ wasn't mad at her for it, of course not, she was just doing her best to try and make him feel better. He was mad at God. Here's this woman who before Jake's death used to sit at the kitchen table every night and pray for every single one of KJ's friends and what did she get for it? Nothing. None of her prayers had protected him from whatever god awful person had shoved him in a fucking sleeping bag. So he blamed God for not granting her prayers. While his dad didn't come in his room and pray every night, he did write bible verses on the whiteboard hanging on KJ's door every morning. They were always about death and loss. KJ wasn't mad at them for it, and he wasn't going to tell them to stop, he just couldn't understand how they could still be so devout.

"Sweetheart, please don't forget to eat something before you come home." His mother beseeched him, "If you won't take the sandwich I made you at least order something at the coffee shop." KJ had refused to take the zip-locked peanut butter and banana sandwich his mother had made him for breakfast. He had appreciated the gesture but he wasn't feeling particularly hungry at the moment, food could wait until they got the Nathan White thing out of the way. But his mother was worried he would drop dead or something if he didn't eat for some reason. His mother had been worried about a lot of things since she found the very empty bottle of Vanilla Crown KJ had stuffed under his bed. That had been a fun night. After his father had gotten done screaming, mom had made gotten back to the coddling, asking him if he was okay, if he wanted to talk about anything. KJ was fine. He didn't need excessive prayer, or people's pity, or a peanut butter and banana sandwich. He was fine. FIne.

"I'm not hungry, momma. I'll be okay, I promise." KJ turned around and gave his mother a slight smile, "Go give that to dad. I'm sure he'll eat it." He chuckled and gave his mom a swift kiss on the head before folding himself into his red Chevy pick-up that was in dire need of a wash. His mother stood at the edge of the driveway until KJ turned a corner and she couldn't see him anymore. His stomach grumbled and he was glad that hadn't happened while he was still with his mom or she would've shoved the sandwich down his throat. The coffee shop wasn't that far and KJ was surprised to see Scotty through the fogged glass window. KJ checked the ancient watch on his wrist, a gift from his father, to make sure he wasn't late. Unless his watch was off, he was almost exactly on time. Scotty was early. That was a surprise. KJ stepped out of his truck and made his way up to the coffee shops door, the bell jingled above his head as he opened it and a waitress looked his way. KJ thought her name was Rachel. Whatever it was she was pretty and when she gave him a smile, KJ gave it right back. She seemed to know what he was here for somehow and pointed to the table Scott had made himself comfortable at. He looked like he hadn't slept in a week. His hands were clutched around a coffee cup as he watched the steam rise up out of it. Scotty was fidgety too, his feet bouncing soundlessly off the floor and his finger tapping idly against the cup. Was he nervous? Scott looked at his watch and KJ figured he should probably go over there now. He linked up silently and sat in front of Scott. He was quiet until he realized Scotty wasn't going to notice him any time soon so he spoke up.

"You're early. That's a surprise." KJ joked and leaned back in his seat, "Naturally, we're stuck waiting on a girl." Kim would probably show up soon, but he couldn't help but make the joke.

KIM

Unbelievable. She pinched herself, once, twice, thrice, but it was still there. The spitting image of her dead ex-boyfriend on the cover of the local newspaper. It had to be her punishment, she thought. Her punishment for spending the last two years hooking up with guy after guy after guy in an attempt to move on from Jake, now his ghost was back to haunt her, and that ghost was called Nathan White. The memories began to flood back, and with each memory a teardrop that rolled down her face. Thankfully, her dad's caring arms were there to comfort her.

Tyler "Dad" Miller, Kim's guardian angel. Best friends since she was a toddler, their bond was unbreakable. When Jake died, her dad never left her side, hugging and comforting her, trying to cheer her up and serving her mouth watering dishes. Kim was the most important person in the world to him, and he was the most important person in the world to Kim, Jakey taking the silver obviously.

At first, Kim felt hesitant when her dad told her that the mayor called him to invite the Miller family to this so called "meeting" with the White family, meeting the twinnie of her deceased boyfriend was definitely not on top of her list of priorities. However, sorting out the situation and moving on as quickly as possible, was. So, after taking some time to think, Kim decided to attend the meeting, obviously accompanied by the most reliable plus-one in the world, Mr. Tyler Miller. Her mother, due to work, was unable to attend, not that she was a big fan of her daughter's relationship with the boy anyway.

Soon, after casually breaking her dad's heart by rejecting his world famous delicious pancakes, Kim was ready to meet up with Scott and Kaden. Ah, big ol' Scooter and big not-so-ol' KJ. It felt weird sometimes, hanging out with them while knowing that the person that linked them together in the first place wasn't among them anymore, but for the last two years she's tried to downplay that weirdness as much as she could. Maybe if she pretended like she was over it, she eventually would be. Even though in her mind she knew it would never happen.

"Sweetie? If you keep zoning out you're going to be late."
"Oh sh- I mean, oh crap you're right, I gotta get going."

Kim turned to the door to leave, her dad's car keys in hand. Yeah, her dad's car, the day she rolled up in school inside that thing was unforgettable. Before she could leave though, her dad called out to her with arms outstretched.

"Hey hold up! Aren't you forgetting something?"
"Fiiine, come here old guy."
"I love you sweetie."
"Love you too dad."

And so she drove away, and soon enough she arrived at the coffee shop. She'd been there once or twice previously, the place actually wasn't that bad, but it was nothing compared to The Celestial, of course. After spotting KJ and Scott, she headed over to their table and sat down.

"Sorry to keep you waiting boys! Now, which one of you is going to buy me a latte?"

Well it was a surprise -- Scott was never early to anything, and maybe that was part of the reason that he was so anxious when he had shown up as the first one to the coffee shop. Scott was used to being the last one, and patience wasn't his strong suit. At least now KJ was here, but they were still waiting on Kim -- and KJ's joke didn't earn anything from Scott. Instead, he just offered the other boy a hallowed look, and then his gaze drifted back to the drink tightly clutched in his hands.

When Kim finally arrived, some life seemed to seep back into Scott. He relaxed in his seat a bit, shoulders slouching more, as he looked up at her. "You're late." He said, his voice almost accusatory in its tone. They still had time before they needed to leave and head for the high school, which at least gave Scott some more time to... steady himself.

Yeah, that's all he needed. To steady himself before this meeting.

His gaze drifted back and forth between Kim and KJ for a moment, before settling back on his coffee. "Are you guys ready? To see Jake?" The moment the name left his mouth, he knew that he had made a mistake, and his eyebrows knitted together. "I mean... to meet Nathan." His words were more hushed as he spoke now, the name that left his mouth leaving a bitter taste behind.

Scott lifted the cup to his lips, drinking the scolding hot liquid before carefully setting his cup back down and looking back towards Kim and KJ. Waiting for them to say something.

Ugh. The moment she heard the tone in Scott's voice she knew they were going to have that conversation. Well, part of Kim already knew Nathan was going to be the topic of conversation, Scott wouldn't have called them to meet up to catch up and chit chat after seeing the face of his dead brother on the front page of the newspaper, but the other part of her wanted to believe that they were just going to avoid the topic altogether. Little to no avoiding was going to happen at that table, though. "No latte for me I guess…" She murmured to herself.

She began feeling uncomfortable before they even started talking, she immediately crossed her arms and legs, her resting foot involuntarily shaking, and looked around the room, despite not wanting to find anything in particular. Kim didn't like talking about Jake, she spent the last two years trying to move on from him, to let him go, to forget him, and whenever someone mentioned his name it was like a memory flood, she would recall the first time they met, all the good times they spent together, all the passionate kisses they sharedβ€” and it made her feel fragile, it made her want to cry, scream and beg him to come backβ€” and that was the opposite of forget. Why the hell couldn't she forget...

"... Jake?"

Damn it, Scott! Kim's heart started beating even faster than before, and she started chewing on her bottom lip at the mention of his name. She'd be lying if she said that storming off, calling that Liam guy from school and hooking up with him before school started so she could clear her head didn't cross her mind at that point, that never failed to calm her down. The only other thing that had a one hundred per cent success rate were her father's snuggles.

Kim finally made eye contact with Scott and KJ again once she heard the former's question. With a shaky voice, she responded.

"Yeah, I'm ready to meet the guy, find out that he's just nice and boring and whatever and move on with my life like I've been doing, not a big deal."

She looked at KJ and Scott, hoping that they believed that she was overall unbothered by the situation. Obviously though, it wasn't as simple as that.

Rather suddenly, Kim had appeared and was sitting with him and Scott. He smiled over at her and opened his mouth to offer to actually buy her a latte when Scott got to the punch first. Except he hadn't offered any coffee. KJ felt kind of bad for Kim as Scotty told her she was late. Jeez, he understood that this was an emotional thing but he didn't need to be rude about it. Besides, Scott was always late and just because he happened to be early once didn't give him reason to be a dick to Kim. It was okay though, Scott looked like he was in a rough place right now so KJ wasn't going to get all chivalrous on him at this moment. It had been a long time since Jake died but KJ knew none of them were really over it. It was hard to get over it when there was no closure in sight and now this...this Nathan guy had just shown up. Shown up wearing Jake's face. KJ had tried to convince himself that he was getting over it but this had opened the scar all over again, and now he felt like he was bleeding out all over again. He couldn't imagine how Scott felt, or his parents for that matter. Jake had been his best friend, sure, but he was Scotty's brother and the Sullivan's son. KJ didn't want to imagine how bad that hurt. That kind of tragedy could rip a family apart, and he was glad that it hadn't. For Scott's sake, he was glad that hadn't happened. There was no telling where Scott would be now if his parents had split. KJ thought that if this had happened to him if he'd lost a brother and his parents had broken it off he would be crushed. Even the thought of something like that left his chest feeling heavy. KJ shook the feeling off, he had his own pain to deal with he didn't need to be feeling Scott's.

Scott's mishap with Nathan's name took him aback. Had he felt the same way when he'd seen that newspaper? Like there was no way that wasn't Jake? It was a ridiculous notion, they'd found Jake's body after all. But maybe they'd all felt that way. Nathan was entirely too similar to Jake and it gave them an uneasy feeling. With that revelation, KJ found himself feeling a little less tense. He wasn't crazy. Still, if they all felt like that was there some truth to their fears? Was it possible that this kid was some kind of long lost twin? What was that urban legend about evil doppelgangers? Jesus, what if he was evil? KJ shuddered at the thought. Even if he was a twin or an evil twin, the reassurance that KJ wasn't crazy was enough to make him feel a little better. It was impossible though wasn't it? It was impossible for him to be Jake. Jake was dead. Jake was gone. This Nathan kid was just a really, really weird coincidence. KJ watched Kim suck her bottom lip between her teeth and nodded along with her words. Just a nice and boring guy. Probably feeling a little weird himself at being called out to meet these random people that had relations to a dead kid that looked exactly like him. What a weird way to be welcomed to a new place. KJ managed a grin over at Kim and nodded again.

"Yeah. Just a normal guy. It'll be chill." KJ glanced out the window and sucked in a breath. There was no way in hell this was going to be chill in any shape or form and he knew that. "Let's get going before we're all late."

Sasha White

Perhaps Sasha hadn't been thrilled about the move from the big city to post-card ready Oak Hills but she wasn't going to show it. Before the move, Sasha had been ready to start her new life as an adult, a fresh faced and bright eyed high school graduate ready to take on the world. The possibilities were endless and the world was her oyster, ripe for the taking. Her good grades and extra curricular participation made her a prime candidate for colleges, they would have been practically falling at her feet.

But that's when her parents sat her down and informed her of the move to Oak Hills. Sasha really hadn't wanted to go and she had the option to stay behind, find her own place, and start her own life. But things had been somewhat tense as of late and Sasha simply couldn't leave them without a guilty conscious constantly nagging on her. So, the extravagant life she had planned for herself was put on pause and she went with her family to support them. How bad could moving to a small town be?

Her question was soon answered by the gawking stares and hushed whispers as the family moved into their home. For the first time in her life, the typically outgoing and fearless Sasha was left confused. At first she thought that their looks were in awe at a new family, wondering if the town rarely got new tenants. But the more she observed, the more she listened, Sasha began to realize that some people looked angry, others scared, some looking green with nausea. And with their actions put under the magnifying glass, it became apparent that they weren't the subject of their stares, it was Nathan.

When the cops rolled up to the house and began to question their family, Sasha kept on the edge of it all, watching as the whole scene unfolded. She couldn't believe the allegations that her little brother, the same little twerp that she had known forever, was some dead kid named Jake Sullivan. There had to be plenty of brown haired white guys that had European facial structures out there, it wasn't like Nate was some exotic creature that was rare and unseen before. Surely they had to be grasping at straws, trying to fill some empty void left in the community by the grisly murder of Jake Sullivan. But even Sasha had to admit that the photo of Jake looked like it had been pulled from the family photo albums.

Her mind was reeling, thoughts yelling over one another for attention. Sasha wanted answers but more importantly, she wanted to be there for Nate. As confusing as the whole situation had been for her, she could only begin to imagine how disturbing it was for him. She volunteered to be by his side at the meeting set up by the mayor, which took some of the pressure of her very rattled parents.

The morning of the meeting rolled around and an exhausted Sasha strolled down the stairs and into the kitchen where Nate was seated at the table, munching away at a bowl of cereal. She still hadn't gotten used to the eerie silence of the new house or the feeling that people were watching the place as she slept. Sasha ruffled her brother's hair on her way to the coffee brewer, pouring herself a mug and drinking it black.

"So, are you ready for this meeting thing today?" Sasha asked, hopping up on the counter carefully as to not spill her drink. Sasha watched him for a moment, wiping the sleep out of her eyes. "Look, whatever happens today I've got you. This whole situation has to be some sort of monumental screw up on behalf of the community since you're not this Jake guy. But whatever happens, whoever we meet, I'm on your side okay? Nothing's going to happen to you while I'm here."

Not a big deal. Chill.

Their words just served to make Scott's skin crawl more, but he didn't say anything about it, instead letting his anger bubble and broil inside of him in silence. "Right. Don't want to be late." He said, echoing KJ's words, his voice dripping with hot sarcasm as he stood up roughly, the chair making a loud grinding sound against the ground as he pushed it back.

"C'mon." He said, his voice still stone cold as he headed for the door, tossing his still half full cup of coffee into the trash on the way out. Scott pushed into the door, and the little bells ringing up above just worked to make him ball his hands into fists. The little tingling sound... it just pissed him off more than he'd like to admit.

---------------------------

When they arrived at the school, Scott had to take a moment to pause just outside the doors. His breathing felt harder, rougher, as he looked up at the brick building. It had been so long since he'd been here, and now... the school didn't exactly fill him with any good memories. And the idea that on the other side of these doors, he'd get to see a kid that looked just like his dead baby brother... yeah, Scott was not prepared for this in the least bit. He wanted to run. He wanted to hide.

He really, really wanted a high.

Scott swallowed the lump in his throat, glancing over at KJ and Kim. "I'll uh... I'll follow after you guys." He mumbled. Where were they supposed to be meeting in the school again?

Finally it was over, Kim could not wait to get the hell out of that coffee shop for her own sake and for her bottom lip's sake, she was going to apply some ointment the second she got home, no way she was going to meet her dead ex with a snowball on her mouth. Without a second to waste she stood up, waved KJ and Scott goobye, gave them a "see ya soon" and hopped on her car. After a quick drive, she was home again.

"Daaad! I'm home, you ready to go?"
"Nope! Still on my jammies!

Same old same old, she loved that old goofball though. Kim slouched on the couch and looked around the living room while she waited for her dad, she could spot endless family pictures, bright smiles on her face, her dad's face and her mother's face. Ah, Priya Miller, also known as "mom". Kim wished the bond with her mother was as strong as the one she had with her father, the woman went through hell after all, immigrating from India with the little she had, to come to the US to find not much moreβ€” she looked up to her after growing up, she really did, but as a child she just never understood her mother's, justifiable, cold and serious nature, and prefered to spend time with her dad.

A kiss on the forehead from him snapped her back to reality.

"I'm ready to go!"
"Cool, hop on the shotgu-"
"Nope, get your ass on the shotgun 'cause T-bomb is driving today, oh yeah!"
"Oh my god. Never call yourself that ever again."

-----

A few minutes later they arrived at the school, it was time to face the music. She just wanted to get it over with, meet the guy, give him a handshake or something and go back to pretending like everything was fine. She was about to leave the car, but her dad stopped her before she could.

"Hey kiddo, you know we don't have to do this if you don't wan-"

"It's all good dad, we're already here aren't we?"
