The monastery was dedicated to Saint Quiteria, a female martyr that was beheaded due to her strong persistence in keeping her Christianity in tact. The woman was always depicted with carrying her head using her hands and keeping a dog on a leash. However, there was a rumor that she was actually a messenger of Satan and that the dog that she kept under control was a Black Cadejo, a dog that was said to take the souls of whoever looks at in its deep-red eyes. It originated in Portugal, her birth place. But, many catechists purposely hid this to maintain her pure image as a martyr.
A few years after its construction, people reported that some men were missing while they stayed in the monastery. The nuns and priests shrugged it off as nothing more than just them catching the Black Plague, but there was more than meets the eye. The monastery was actually a sacrificial temple dedicated to Saint Quiteria, as she was a demon in Hell that bound itself to the city of London. Every year, there was a night when every nun and priest on site would bring out a young virgin male that would be stabbed in the heart and buried underneath her statue in the middle of the monastery's garden. It was unethical to advertise yourself as a place of serenity when it was, in fact, the quarters of some murderous cult dedicated to a demon. But, nobody had to know their little secret. Every member in the monastery made sure to slit their arm and bound themselves by blood, promising each other that the tales of their murders will not go out to the public.
In 1768, the head monk of the monastery wanted to convert the grounds into a school for children. He thought that they could turn their back on the past and change their future into a holier one. Most of the monks and nuns agreed, except for one nun that still kept her loyalty to Saint Quiteria. In a dream, the nun saw the demon. She was tasked to 'collect their debt', as their sacrifices weren't enough in the last few years. The nun understood what to do and prayed for guidance from the martyr herself. Next morning, the whole grounds smelled of rotting bodies and dried blood. The nun was covered in blood, chunks of the members of the monastery were spread everywhere. After she did it, she took a step inside the chapel and prayed to Saint Quitera as loud as she could. The martyr appeared to her, holding her head in her hands as blood dripped from the bottom of her decapitated head. She thanked the nun for her devotion and gave her a blessing. The statue in the middle of the garden started to drop pieces of gold as the smell of rot and stains of blood miraculously disappeared. The bodies of the priests and nuns were spread throughout the garden and were converted into marble statues with some missing parts and some chips in their marble. The martyr proceeded to disappear as she left behind a massive amount of gold to the nun who placed her whole faith in the woman.
Skipping to 1845, the monastery has been converted into a boarding school. The nun who murdered the men and women that used to live within the halls of the school became the headmistress of the school. It was named after the martyr, Saint Quiteria's Academy for the Brilliant. The nun implemented a unique school system that divided the students into four suits. Each suit had a specfic royalty system that dictated how they should be treated by other students. The King, Queen, Jack, and 10 of each suit were a part of the 'royal council', which meant that they could do whatever they want and command anyone who was lower than their suit value. From 9 to 1, the lower their suit value was, the worse they will be treated. At first, it was met with criticisms from parents and, at some point, a judge. However, the first batch of students came out fine. The ones in the lower ranks became rich and had well-paying jobs, while the ones who were in the royal council became notable leaders and secretaries for the government. After that batch, many more students decided to enroll in the academy, hoping to have a bright future ahead of them. You feel excitement wash over you, the feeling of being selected for such a prestigious school can be quite pleasant. The letter sits on top of your bed, signalling you to pack up and head to the campus. Rumors said that the academy itself used to be grounds for a cult. But, they were typically made-up by people who never got in. Besides, every graduate from that school was a prominent figure in today's society. Writers, Senators, Company Owners, the university was a factory for rich people in the making.
When you settle in your dorm room, the atmosphere of the school is not as bright as you thought it would be. But, that doesn't stop you from attending classes. Over the next few weeks, however, the students in the academy seem to be disappearing. Also, the lower part of the school started to smell of dried blood and some rotten meat. No one acknowledges it, but you have a strong feeling that something's not right about the school. You ignore it, still, hoping that the smell would be fixed.
Months pass, and the initial number of students seemed to have dropped by a large percent. The only remaining ones on campus are the royal council, the staff, and the remaining students that are scared for their lives. Whatever happens, you are sure that something isn't right with the school. The more you study about its history, the terror on your face increases. You thought to run and scream to warn the other students about it. But, a woman was already blocking the doorway of your dorm room; it was the secretary of the Headmaster. "So, the truth will set you free," she says with a sly smirk while playing with the sliver dagger in her hand. "Let's make this quick."

- The newest headmaster for the current school year. A charming Korean man that looks young for his age. He has a secretary that follows his every order and a mysterious feel that surrounds him. He's the first ever headmaster that is below the age of 60, making him the youngest principal of the academy. But, Xavier can come off as a bit eccentric when you first meet him.
- Maria Estrada
- The head gardener of the campus. She tends to the plants as if it were her own children. Many tales about the past years of St. Quiteria's can be heard from this woman, especially its origins. She can charm anyone with her emerald eyes and fiery red hair. Seemingly sweet, she has secrets that she keeps to herself.
- Emilia White
- The first headmistress of the academy. Students say that they can see her walking down the hallways while humming to herself whenever it's a full moon. Even though she's dead, she can still play with some live humans. Emilia lures troublesome students to the basement of the hallway, trapping them if she feels like it. But, she'll give them a good scare only if she's in a good mood. If she's in a bad mood, who knows?
