- Be realistic with characters; this isn’t a place for innocent characters, unless it was some type of coping mechanism. We’re not trying to romanticize stuff like this; i don't think you would see an innocent, soft boi involving himself in crime !!!! This is a serious rp.

Life is Grim
[scroll!] Night culture is prevalent in any city; there are always strips of clubs, bars, restaurants, and shops along the streets. The red velvet lounges with their wealthy businessmen and the filaments of smoke from their cigarettes floating to the ceiling are often associated with organized crime. However, some illegal activity is hidden within the bright culture of nightlife.
On a specific strip in Seoul resides a small pawnshop, owned by an older man. Generally, people bustle in there to sell their flashy jewelry to buy more shots from neighboring bars, or someone drunkenly trying to find a ring to elope to someone they just met hours before (happens more than you think).
The basement of the store is rented out to a group of young adults who hang out, drink, and perhaps even do illegal substances down there. Their time in the basement is used to get away from the cruelty and realness of life. Some are childhood friends, and others became friends through mutuals, but all have one thing in common: crime, whether it be drug dealing or the art underworld; some even working with each other.
Life for the group is cold, dark, and sad. Somehow, someway they all got sucked into the inescapable world of illegal business. Some feel a thrill from it, others find it is the only way to make ends meet, and some use it as a way to act out. Regardless of their reasoning, they feel trapped or paranoid that they will be sought out by law enforcement. Their little basement chats are some of the few moments of light in their unfortunate paths.
