These are all my original characters, plz enjoy.

thanks to the bootiful noora ( constellation constellation ) for the bbcode layout!

Chris has always been the boy next door.

He was found when he was three years old, sitting at a bench by the Han River with nothing but shorts and a singlet in the middle of winter. He told policemen that his Umma was gone to the shops with his baby sister and that sheโ€™d be right back. But she never came back. And Chris was brought in for care. There were no details of his past and the only thing the young boy could tell them was that his Appa was still โ€˜at home with the Great Leaderโ€™ and when asked where he lived, the address he gave was for an area in North Korea. It seemed as though the boy, along with his Umma and baby sister, had snuck into South Korea. However, with no identify, parents, guardians for information on the boy, Chris was placed up for adoption. A couple of months later, he met Dianne and Marcus Davis. They were two Americans who had been waiting so desperately for a child. After meeting them, it was over a year and a half before Chris could officially return home to America with them.

The boy struggled with school. He was often bullied with people calling him a spy after finding out he had been born in North Korea. His eye condition caused him to glare often when he tried to focus on certain things โ€“ all the more reason for people to tease him. He was shy and barely spoke to anyone โ€“ apart from his best friend and neighbour, Mina. Mina had been by his side through it all. Eventually, as he grew into his teenage years, Christ developed an adorable little crush on Mina which snowballed as the years went by. When he was eighteen, he announced that he was heading back to Seoul to continue with his studies and to also find more information about his biological parents. Not before making a complete fool out of himself and kissing Mina (which happened to be his first damn kiss ever too).

Seven years flew by and Chris was finally returning home from Seoul to see his parents โ€“ and his neighbours. The last time he saw Mina, he had planted a big old kiss on her, human glitched and ran away. How the hell was he meant to act now?

He was always a โ€˜yesโ€™ guy. When he was offered a scholarship to attend a sporting university to train for the Olympic Volleyball team, he said yes. When he was asked by his hyung to help at his chicken restaurant, he said yes. When his brother passed away, and his parents asked him to run the shop with them, he said yes. Lee Dong-Hyun is a people pleaser. He doesnโ€™t care if heโ€™s unhappy himself, as long as the people around him are full of joy and happiness. Which is why when his older brother, Lee Dong-Woo, committed suicide, he felt like he had failed everyone. Especially his hyung. Woo-hyung left the chicken restaurant in the familyโ€™s name. Son Han-Bin was born on the 13th March 1999 in California, United States of America. His parents, Emily and Young-Jae, were eagerly awaiting for Son Young-Jaeโ€™s father, Son Moon-Bin, to pass away so they could take over the family business. Son Family Tea, founded back in the early 1940โ€™s, was created when Moon-Binโ€™s father wanted to create the perfect beverage that he could have with his whole family on any occasion. Summer, winter, spring, fall, graduations, birthdays, funerals. You name it, Son Family Tae would be the go-to tea every native Korean would reach for. You couldnโ€™t think of the word โ€˜familyโ€™ without thinking of Son Family Tea.

Moon-Bin eventually passed away when Han-Bin was seven; he never had the chance to meet his grandfather. The family flew back to Seoul, Korea, where Emily and Young-Jae took over the family business. Han-Bin was an only child and would often daydream what life would be like if he had an older brother or sister as he was insanely jealous of the children in school with older siblings. This fascination began to sprout from when he was eight and his parents would often fight while they thought he was sleeping in bed. Emily loved to make snide remarks and negative passing comments while Young-Jae loved to yell and throw things across the room. Han-Bin would lie in bed, listening to them fight and wishing he had someone tell him that things were going to be okay and it wasnโ€™t his fault. Because, in his mind, it had to be his fault, right?

However, before the media, they were the perfect family. They stood with grins on their faces and hugged each other as if the night before never happened. To distract Han-Bin from the fights, his parents had encouraged him to audition for Anchor Entertainment at the age of thirteen. They convinced him that it would be the best option to help fuel for his passion for spoken word poetry and rapping. He was accepted and so his days were filled with going to school, studying, and then going to the entertainment company to practice as a trainee. The hours were gruelling, but his parents often reminded him that it would be for the best. When he was fourteen and a half, the media announced that he was one of the youngest rappers to debut with an idol group, DAZE. For a year he was out of school, travelling around Korea and worldwide with his band members, performing at sell-out concerts. He was the maknae of the group, with the next youngest member being four years older than him.

Just a few weeks shy of his sixteenth birthday, Han-Bin arrived home after finishing his practice early to find his father having sex with his assistant in the kitchen. Large scales fell from his eyes and he discovered that his parents had been projecting this perfect family image to not only the media but to him too. After having an awkward discussion with his parents, they revealed that they had technically been separated for well over five years. They had kept it a secret, even from their own son, to uphold the family image which promoted good family virtue to the world. Any indication of their marriage going downhill would cause Son Family Tea sales to plummet and the loss of thousands of jobs. So, for the sake of all those workers, Han-Bin was convinced to stay quiet. To pretend that he lived in a loving family despite the lack of love between his parents.

He went on with his daily life, pretending as if nothing was going on behind closed doors. He continued with DAZE, putting all his time, energy and focus on performing and helping to expand the bandโ€™s creativity. However, the day came where Yuta and Ji-Sung, the two eldest members of the group, had to enrol for their military service. Han-Bin and Ming-Yu, therefore, had the chance to either enlist, create a sub-unit or to embark on their own solo journeys. Ming-yu decided to take time to travel while Han-Bin decided to take a two-year break to study on campus. He had been studying online since he technically finished school but was struggling to actually connect and learn. During his duration of studying for his English literature major, Han-Bin has been working on some solo work in which the company he is a part of want him to release soon as a solo artist.

One of the engines is struck by lightning and the plane falls from the sky like a shooting star. The plane crashes into the water and there is not a single survivor. Well, thatโ€™s what the media reported.

Genevieve Alvern wakes up on an island, dazed and confused. She had been on the flight which took a turn for the worst and it seemed as if she was the only survivor of the crash. She begins to wander around the island, hoping to find out where she is, if thereโ€™s any civilisation that could help her, and if not, how she will survive. As she walks around the island, she discovers a body washed up to shore. Thinking itโ€™s a dead body at first, she dears not to go near it. However, something tells her to go up to the body which turns out to be an Asian male, Kang Haneul. She checks the manโ€™s pulse and seeโ€™s heโ€™s still beating โ€“ but not breathing. After performing first aid on the male and tending to his wounds, he begins to regain consciousness and theyโ€™re finally able to greet each other. There is one issue, however.

He doesnโ€™t speak a word of English.

And she doesnโ€™t speak a word of Korean.

The pair of them must survive on the island while the world thinks theyโ€™re dead and have given up hope of trying to find them. However, how will they manage to survive when there is this massive language barrier between the pair of them?

At the age of sixteen, Jae-Hyeon killed his first man.

On this day, his Appa, Woo-Jin, introduced him into a world he never thought was real. The Korean Mafia. It seemed that his Appa was the right hand man for the boss, Suho, and wanted his son to grow up in his footsteps. So, at sixteen, Jae-Hyeon joined the gang. Ten years of working for the Korean mafia can really work a number on you. During his time, he essentially became the English translator and body guard for Suho and his Appa. He also met, what he assumed would be, the love of his life, Mina. Who he then broke up with seven months into their relationship as he discovered that she was cheating on him with a rival gang member

With the wound still fresh, Jae took his mind off of the break-up by diving headfirst into more mafia work. Suho announced that he had a special job for him which would require creating an alliance with an Italian mobster. For the alliance to come into fruition, Jae-Hyeon was asked to become the mobsterโ€™s daughterโ€™s bodyguard while he was away on business. Not wanting to cause any grief to the alliance, Jae-Hyeon agreed and found himself babysitting Anya Beaumont.

In South Korea, suicide is the number one cause of death among Koreans aged 10 to 39. Despite the prevalence of mental illness, social stigma remains prevalent throughout the population which discourages sufferers from seeking treatment. A group of misfits are forced to attend in-patient group therapy as a part of a new state-funded mental health services support, all whom have either tried to commit suicide recently, have been admitted into hospitals for suicidal and depressive tendencies or have been referred by doctors. After a couple of weeks, the group begins to form a bond outside of their sessions. They meet up for dinner afterwards and one of the misfits proposes a pact โ€“ that in 100 days from now, they will all commit suicide together. Fearing of the concept of dying alone, Astrid Dunmore seeks the advice from JB who has been clinically dead before. [/div][/div][/div]

child care educator x single dad

He's that helicopter dad everyone hates. Yeon Jun-Seok is a twenty-eight-year-old physiotherapist, returning back to work after the birth of his daughter, So-Min. This is the six-month-old's first time ever being away from her father, and Jun-Seok feels anxious about leaving her in the hands of strangers at a local daycare centre. And so, he's that parent who constantly rings to see if she's okay, labels everything, has a communication booklet in her bag which he wants to be filled out every day, asks for her jumper, socks and shoes remain on so she doesn't get sick and so on, so forth. He's that parent that when you see the child's name on the roll, you shudder at the thought of having to interact with him.

However, within the first few weeks of attending the daycare, So-Min grows attached to a primary childcare educator, Ava, within her room. So much so that Jun-Seok eventually begins to change his work schedule to match up with Ava's as So-Min screams at drop off when she's not there. Everyone thinks he's a complete snob and jerk (but adore So-Min and her adorable ways), and always bitch about him behind his back once he's dropped So-Min off. However, So-Min's favourite educator begins to see that Jun-Seok is just a single dad trying his hardest to get back on his feet after becoming a single parent overnight.

14th February 2000, Yang Yung-guk, 21, met the love of his life while waiting for his coffee order by the dojo he worked at in Busan, South Korea. She walked by without a care in the world and with no intentions in talking to anyone but her boyfriend. He returned every day to find the same woman with the same man. The months went by and he noticed that the boyfriend and girlfriend would argue more. Eventually, the girlfriend began to come alone and Yung-guk finally saw his chance to introduce himself.

Her name was Lee Yumi, 20, and she began to open up to Yung-guk about her troubles over the course of the months. They would meet the same time, same place and order the same drinks. She would tell him about her jerk boyfriend and how she wanted to get away from him. One day she came to their catch up with a black eye but insisted that everything was fine. Yung-guk followed her home that day and saw that things were not okay. Her boyfriend was physically abusing her after spending the day drinking. Yumi was on the floor, trying to protect herself from further harm as her boyfriend kicked and hit her. This was when Yung-guk sprung into action and became the hero of the night by using his black belt skills.

Yung-guk invited Yumi to stay with him until she got herself a new place to stay. However, during her time at Yung-gukโ€™s house, she found herself slowly falling for him. They began a romantic relationship together, but stress levels were high when Yumi began to suspect that her ex-boyfriend was stalking her. In fear that her boyfriend would find her again, Yumi decided that she would fly to Australia to be with her older sister. Even though they werenโ€™t officially dating, Yung-guk insisted that he should come with her. He wanted to protect and love her. She wouldโ€™ve said no, but soon after deciding that she wanted to move, she discovered that she was pregnant with Yung-gukโ€™s child.

Within the month, in March 2001, Yung-guk and Yumi moved to Sydney, New South Wales in Australia. They moved in with Yumiโ€™s sister, Mina, and her husband and children. From arrival until the birth of their child, the pair of them worked hard through casual positions to ensure they would have some money upon the birth of their child. They were able to get a rental and moved in weeks before Yumiโ€™s due date. Thankfully they had moved when they did because their baby came at 36 weeks.

On the 1st of September 2001, at 3:43 am, Kai Yang was born at Royal Hospital for Women in Sydney.

Kai spent five weeks in NICU before being released. His childhood was what you would say was a completely normal, loving experience. After multiple doctors appointments, it was found that he had no major health defects. Yung-guk proposed to Yumi in 2004, three years after Kai was born. They were married when Kai was five where their young son was their ring boy for the wedding. When Kai was seven, his parents announced that they were expecting another child. Despite the seven-year age gap, Kai felt blessed to finally have a baby sister to play with. Jessica, however, was born at 34 weeks and their family spent many days and nights back in the NICU. Because of her premature birth, Jessica was diagnosed with heart murmurs.

To try and keep his family healthy and strong, Yung-guk emphasized the importance of health, inner health (spirituality) and fitness in the family. Both of the siblings trained in his dojo and helped their Appa where needed. On Sundays, they would attend the church their Umma worked at to help with their โ€˜spiritual guidanceโ€™ as Yumi liked to call it. The Yang family are a tight knitted family, full of love

Life was pleasant for the Moon family. There were no traumas growing up and they had two very healthy children. Woon-sung and Jaehyoun had a great family with their son, Kwangsoo studying Economics and their daughter, Ji-hyo married with a baby on the way.

Kwangsoo started working for Chonghaejin Marine Company part-time as a cafeteria assistant to earn some extra money while he studied in 2014. He was on his fourth shift when the ferry the company owned, Sewol Ferry, tilted to itโ€™s side and began to sink. With the guidance of his superior crewmates, Kwangsoo jumped into action and helped to save numerous students and passengers from near death by offering them life jackets and helping them to climb their way up to the deck. While helping the last student in his area, the pair of them became submerged under water. The young girlโ€™s grasp slipped from his and as they were swept away in the water, all he could see was her panicking face, attempting to reach out to him.

The next thing he could remember was waking up in a hospital room, surrounded by his family and doctors. He managed to survive the sinking of the Sewol Ferry but was kept in hospital after suffering from hypothermia, a severe shattered shoulder blade and water on the lungs. Over the course of the next few weeks, he had doctors, nurses, policemen, representatives from the government โ€“ you name it, everyone! โ€“ coming in to congratulate and thank him for helping to save so many lives. The media spoke about how everyone survived, and he was overjoyed โ€“ until he found out it was a complete lie and only one-third of the passengers had managed to get out safely. That over 200 people had died. Ji-young, Gee-wong and Hyun-seon (his crewmates who helped him) were all a part of the list of those who had drowned. His parents tried to remind him that if he didnโ€™t go back and ensure that people were safe, the death toll wouldโ€™ve been higher. But all he could think about were those students who said that they were listening to their teachers. Those students he had told to stay put and to listen to the announcements. Those students who didnโ€™t have the strength to climb and fight off the waters. And that one girl who clung onto his arm so tightly only to be washed away.

She haunted his dreams.

It had been over two weeks since that fateful day and Kwang-soo remained in hospital, recovering from his shoulder surgery. The pain was horrible, but the emotional scarring had been worse. His parents had attempted to keep him company, but he spent his time staring at the television, watching the media coverage of the ferry. It had been over a week since he had last spoken to anyone. He didnโ€™t even want to speak to his parents. In fact, he had been so self-consumed that he didnโ€™t even think about his sister who had given birth on the same day the ferry sank. His sister, Ji-hyo, who was his best friend in the whole worldโ€ฆ She just had a baby and he wasnโ€™t even asking about how the baby was, or if it was healthy or if his sister was okay. Instead, he was spending his days staring at this stupid television screen and thinking about the what ifs. Hell, he still hadnโ€™t shown any sort of emotion since the ferry sank. He just sat or laid there, like an empty shell.

That was when his parents decided to take action. They decided that if Ji-hyo brought the baby in with her, that Kwang-soo might snap out of it. Meet his first niece and hopefully, the healing would start for him. Ji-hyo had been sitting in Kwang-sooโ€™s hospital room with her newborn daughter, Na-yeon, waiting for her brother to say something to her. It wasnโ€™t normal to see her brother like an empty shell. He looked like her brother โ€“ smelt like him even. But there was no one home inside. She decided to make a gutsy choice and brought Na-yeon over to Kwang-soo. She placed the baby into his good left arm and announced to him that she needed to go to the toilet.

It was in that moment, where Kwang-soo couldnโ€™t protest or hand the baby back, that he gazed down at the newborn child. In his mind, it began to connect. As soon as Na-yeonโ€™s eyes opened, it was like he was staring at that girl from the ferry. The one that clung onto his arm so tightly. Tears began to fall from his eyes and he raised his other hand to stroke the babyโ€™s face, despite being in pain. This is her, isnโ€™t it? He thought to himself. I couldnโ€™t save herโ€ฆ so God brought her back as a baby. Reincarnation, right? As the thoughts flooded his head, the tears continued and followed by words of affirmations.

โ€œIโ€™m sorry I couldnโ€™t save you..โ€ he managed to whisper to the baby, feeling the tears run down his cheek and his throat tightening โ€œI amโ€ฆ so sorryโ€ฆ I promiseโ€ฆ Iโ€™ll protect you and love you for foreverโ€ฆโ€ He brought Na-yeon closer to his body, cradling her head. โ€œIโ€™m so sorry I couldnโ€™t bring you back to your parentsโ€ฆ Pleaseโ€ฆ forgive meโ€ฆ pleaseโ€ฆโ€

But, five years on, she still visited his dreams.

Without a doubt, like clockwork, she always managed to find her way in his dreams.

Every day was a constant reminder of all those people who died while he remained alive. But some days were easier than others. Some days he was able to go to work and get things done and find peace. Some days you wouldnโ€™t have thought he had been in that situation five years ago. But thenโ€ฆ there were some days where it was harder. Those days, he found himself drowning himself in Soju and being dependant on pain killers to help with the extreme agony that resided in his shoulder blade. He had admitted himself numerous times into the hospital, claiming that there was something wrong with his shoulder blade. That the metal plate they placed in during the surgery was causing pain and there was some sort of infection. But every time he was turned away and was told it was just muscle memory. That the pain was all in his head.

Every day was something different.

After being released from the hospital back in 2014, he found himself having to appear in numerous court cases to testify. He had to look at his crew members and his captain and confess to them that they were the reasons so many people were dead. He wanted to attend the many protests that happened around this time also but found himself too emotional to attend to them. Eventually, at the beginning of 2015, he found himself enlisting to do his mandatory military work. He had thought to himself, after the accident, that he wanted to start living life to the fullest. There was no point in waiting for his military time and having it hover over his head while he planned his future. So, he embarked on his two-year journey within the military. Due to his shoulder injury, he was placed as a civil worker within Seoul.

And it seemed like he ended up having to monitor possibly every protest regarding the sinking of the ferry. Sometimes the protests were peaceful and he would pay his respect to the families. However, there were times where he would have to work against the protestors. At one rally, a mother became distraught and began to repeatedly hit against his chest as he told her that she wasnโ€™t allowed to go past a restricted area. She screamed at him, saying that he didnโ€™t understand the pain and sorrow she was going through. That her child was never coming back and he wouldnโ€™t understand such pain (probably because he was only twenty-three). It was times like these that broke him; he ended up pushing the pain deep down and continued out his official duties. Pretending that he didnโ€™t know the pain. Pretending that he liked the government. Pretending that she was in the wrong and he was in the right.

He finished his military service at the beginning of 2017 with new hopes of starting a fresh future.

This was when he began to fall into this same old routine. Feeling great, feeling fine and then something would happen to bring him back to ground zero and a dozen of soju bottles. It was a rollercoaster ride. He stayed in Incheon for another year before moving in 2018 to Seoul, moving in with his sister and her husband, Do-yoon, into their apartment complex. At least he was able to spend more time with Na-yeon this way who was becoming an adventurous and inquisitive child. He was welcomed into their house and was able to find work very smoothly. He began to work at the Samsung Main Building in Sousse. Life was going pretty good forโ€ฆ a very long time actually.

Until towards the end of 2018 where the newest Samsung design came out. His boss wanted him to go out onto the floors and promote their newest mobile range with these exact words; โ€œWe want you to promote its water resistance โ€“ oh, and the focus market is teenagersโ€. Beginning this marketing campaign broke him. He found himself not being able to sleep without being haunted by the ghosts of those trapped in the ferry still. He drank every night after work and would commonly go to work the next day hung over. He was popping pills every day and going through his old rehabilitation training while at the gym as his shoulder began to ache again. It was all falling apart again.

It has always been Minho and Yuto together. Ever since Minho could remember, his older brother had always been there to protect him. Being three years older than him, Yuto was the perfect hyung to him. he encouraged him to pursue in his dreams and to keep on swimming. However, even with the perfect brother didn't mean they had the perfect family. Their mother died when Minho was four and after that, their father became an alcoholic. When he was six, his father knocked him out cold in one punch. But Yuto was there to care for him. The abuse continued the more their father drank. And little by little, Yuto was suddenly not there to protect him anymore.

Not wanting to go home, Minho spent most of his time making friends and pushing his way into friendship circles so he could be invited to parties and sleepovers. When he finally got a girlfriend, he spent most nights sneaking into her bedroom so he could cuddle with her until it was time to get up and get ready for the day (sneaking out of her house before her parents found out). He kept pursuing with his swimming and was apart of the swim team, winning medals and awards left, right and centre. However, there were rare occasions where he would rock up to finals or practices with large bruises on his body. He would claim that he was learning how to do a bunny hop on his bike (which was true - the boy rode his bike everywhere and was often seen trying to do tricks without any safety gear on). But rumours began to spread. And he had to extinguish them before they could reach back to his father

One word that would describe Ki Nariโ€™s life right now: homeless.

The twenty-two-year-old has been on living on the streets for the last five years, trying to survive off of anything she can find. But this girl hasnโ€™t always been homeless. In fact, she left behind quite a beautiful little house back in Jeju. At the age of five, her parents were involved in a fatal car crash which took their lives. She was sent to live with her Aunt, Uncle and cousin. As they lived in a small apartment, Nari had to share rooms with her cousin, Min-Jae. The boy was three years older than her and they had always had a great relationship with one and another. They would play together and have inside jokes. However, as soon as she started to share a room with him, she started to notice that he was different.

And so began years of secrecy. Min-Jae had a horrible habit. He liked to touch girls. Inappropriately. Despite Nari being related, she was no exception. In fact, as they grew older, he touched her more. He forced himself on her. Every night. Just before her seventeenth birthday, Nari discovered that she was pregnant with her cousinโ€™s child. She was so unsure with what to do that she made the foolish choice to tell him. Things got violent and Nari ended up in the hospital for close to a month. She miscarried the baby and was forced to tell police that she didnโ€™t know who beat her. Once she was out of the hospital, she knew that she couldnโ€™t go back to the house. So, she ran away.

She hitched hiked her way off the island and moved to the city. She never stayed somewhere for too long. She moved from place to place, never trusting anyone along the way. She built up a โ€˜I donโ€™t need no manโ€™ mentality and made sure that she always came first.

Whilst his young brother is an inspiring athlete and youtuber, Se-Hun likes to have a quieter life. The twenty-eight-year-old has been living by himself for the last six years and has been focusing on his artwork. Going by the artist name of Amo, he has been able to successfully sell his paintings around Seoul to keep the roof above his head. He tries to paint every day but as of late, he hasnโ€™t been able to find a lot of energy to do so

Two months ago, just four days before his Appaโ€™s death, Se-Hun woke up to find a rather large lump swelling on his neck. He thought nothing of it and went through this day as per usual. He noticed over the next few days that he was getting rather lethargic after doing the simplest of tasks, but tossed it up that he was just getting a cold as his nose felt like it was always running. It wasnโ€™t until he was his Appaโ€™s funeral that one of his Appaโ€™s friends told him to see a doctor as he looked like he had dropped a heap of weight. Well, he had, but he assumed it had been from the new exercises he had been adding into his fitness routine.

So, he saw a doctor. And thatโ€™s when he was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma Stage 2a. The lump in his neck was a tumour which needed to be removed for a biopsy and he needed to start chemotherapy as soon as he could. As of this date, he is only one month into his chemotherapy. He had a picc line placed in his chest, allowing the doctors to easily give him his medication. At the moment, heโ€™s feeling good but constantly grumpy as heโ€™s decided to give up the smoking.

Due to his new diagnosis, fear in regards to if he would be able to keep paying for the apartment, and their Appaโ€™s death, Se-Hun asked his younger brother to come and live with him in his apartment. At least it meant they could sell the family house, save some money and it would be within walking distance of Se-Junโ€™s university. How could Se-Jun say no, especially with his brother playing the cancer card?

Ryu Se-Jun is an inspiring young swimmer from Seoul, South Korea. He has been attending a sport University in Seoul for the last three years and currently in his final year of study for his Bachelors. During the duration of his time, he has been apart of the swimming team with goals of being apart of the South Korean Olympics team. Heโ€™s widely known in his country for his daily vlogs and gameplay videos which he places onto his youtube account, to the point where a simple day at the market could entice multiple stops for photos and autographs with the locals. Some foreigners wouldnโ€™t be able to tell you who he was, but creating content isnโ€™t for the fans and money but rather about expressing his life to the world to make his Umma and Appa proud.

Speaking of his Umma and Appa, they're no longer around. Se-Jun currently lives with his older brother, Se-Hun, who took him in after their Appa passed away from a heart attack. Their Umma passed away from cancer when Se-Jun was only five years old, so only has a couple of small memories of her. She loved to paint and travel around the countryside to experiment with her photography. Their Appa had been a police officer and had been for over twenty years.

Whilst he vlogs daily and maintains a youtube and twitch platform with many followers, Se-Jun can be a bit of an introvert. He has no problem with exploring his areas and trying new things โ€“ but mainly by himself. Heโ€™s cheerful and bubbly, but he likes to recharge by being by himself. His online persona and his real-life persona differ in this way as people assume heโ€™s an extrovert from his travelling and meeting new people. But he loves nothing more than unwinding at the end of a long day by playing some video games or reading a book .

Growing up in the Park family, they seemed like your every day normal traditional Korean family. And thatโ€™s because they were.

On the 14th February 1997, Park Tae-Yeon was born into this world surrounded by people who loved and adored him. He grew up with his sister, Nari who was three years old than him, and both his parents. They led quite normal lives. Their parents were praised by their town as their mother, General Park Ae-Jung worked for the Navy and their father, General Park Jong-Oh was an active member of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the Republic of Korea. The pair of them were known to the town as โ€˜the Nationโ€™s pride coupleโ€™ as they both served in the military and trained many soldiers during their time.

In saying that they were a traditional Korean family, Jong-Oh was very firm with his children and would often treat them like the soldiers he trained. But that was just how fathers were, right? But their mother was very kind, affectionate and the Park siblings often wondered why their mother never went to become a chef due to her amazing cooking abilities. Out of his parents, Tae-Yeon found himself more attached to his mother. He shared the same personality as her; highly affectionate, loved to cook and was a very sensitive soul. Whenever she was home from work, he rarely left her side as she was becoming more like his best friend as he became older.

On 26th March 2010, at the age of 13, Tae-Yeon lost his mother. She had been aboard the ROKS Cheonan, a Pohang-class corvette for the Republic of Korea Navy, when an unknown explosion occurred causing the ship to break and sink off the south-west coast of Baengnyeong Island. His best friend in the whole world, his Mum, had been one of the 46 crew members to die upon the ship. Their father came to such grief that Tae was placed as head griever for her funeral. That day became a turning point for his father, who began to drink every night to try and ease the pain of losing his wife.

As the days went by, the Park siblings began to adapt to living without their mother by their side. Nari took responsibility to ensure her father was ready for work while Tae focused on cooking all the meals and cleaning the house. But their fatherโ€™s love for alcohol gradually became worse over the first year of Ae-Jungโ€™s passing. And he began to use physical force against his children. While Jung-Oh would fire verbal abuse towards his daughter, he wouldnโ€™t dare to lay a single finger on her. She was his pride and joy after all. Tae-Yeon, on the other hand, every time he looked at his son he could only see Ae-Jung. Their son had always been the splitting image of his wife; his smile, his facial structure and even his personality. And it tore Jung-Oh apart.

And so, he would physically abuse his son every night.

Not wanting his sister to worry about him, Tae spent most of his time hiding the bruises and making excuses, saying he had fallen over at school or tripped while getting the mail from the letterbox. When Nari turned 19, he no longer had to make excuses anymore because she was off to university in Seoul. He reassured Nari that he could look after his father by himself and urged her to go and pursue her dreams of becoming a doctor. And so, she left for Seoul and Tae was left to care for his father. He was left to bare the pain of his fatherโ€™s sorrows in the form of flying fists and glass bottles being thrown in his direction.

Within the first year of Nari being away, Tae had been admitted into hospital five times. Three times for his shoulder which kept on dislocating, and the other two he was brought in by neighbours who had found him wondering the streets with large cuts and burns on his body. But when approached by the police at the hospital, he did the same thing he always did.

He hid the pain.

He smiled.

Widely. And brightly. Like sunshine.

And told them that he was just a very clumsy teenager.

He kept all the pain buried deep inside. Not wanting others to be burdened by his pain like his father did to him. And he was doing so well with it too until that faithful night where Nari came to visit. Tae hadnโ€™t been returning her text messages (mainly because his father had smashed his phone a couple of weeks back) and she was beginning to get worried about him. She arrived at the house to find the living room in a complete mess. Old family portraits shattered on the ground and old Soju bottles upon the floor. When she found Tae in his room, he was hiding in his cupboard. Beaten, bruised, bleeding and with another dislocated shoulder.

Nari helped him to place his shoulder back into place and began to tend to his wounds. However, his father had awoken from his post-beating nap and found Nari trying to help Tae. Fuelled with anger, saying that she was betraying him for helping Tae, he began to beat his daughter for the first time. In fact, he wouldnโ€™t stop. Knowing how strong his father was, Tae lunged at his father and pinned him to the ground. It was like some superhuman strength over came him as he had an out of body experience. He felt like he was watching himself from above as he saw himself grab a Soju bottle and repeatedly hit his father in the head. When the glass shattered, Tae then continued to beat his fatherโ€™s face with a closed fist. And he continued to do so until Nari came over and pulled him off of the older man. But it was too late.

Park Tae-Yeon became one of the most tweeted names for Korea the next day.

The sixteen-year-old who had beaten his father to death. It didnโ€™t matter to people that he was trying to save his sister. It didnโ€™t matter to people that he had been physically abusing his son for over three years. The only thing that mattered was that this young teenager had killed his father. His father who was a General in the Army. The Army-crazed country was outraged that this boy had killed someone so important. At every court hearing, there were protestors screaming into his face saying he was a murderer who deserved to rot in prison for the rest of his life. And when his sentence was revealed, there were petitions against it, saying that seven years wasnโ€™t long enough for a monster like him.

Isnโ€™t it crazy that all it took was one day. One day, he was invisible. The next, he was Koreaโ€™s youngest most hated criminal, about to serve seven years in jail for the murder of his father.

He lived a normal, simple childhood.

No one around him ever died of cancer or in some car crash. No one ever abandoned him or attempted to kidnap him. There was never a moment where he would think to himself โ€˜this seems like some poorly plotted K-dramaโ€™. Normal school scores and normal friends. He loved spending time with his family but also loved his time to himself. He grew up with a passion and respect for music as his parents paid for him to have guitar, piano and violin lessons, seeing how music made him so happy. Everything was completely and utterly normal. Maybe that was the reason why he decided to start acting out when he reached his final schooling years?

Young-Jae had been raised with proper morals and beliefs, to the point where nothing exciting ever happened during his childhood. Heck, his grandparents were still out playing tennis every other weekend together. And so, when the opportunity arose to bring some excitement into his life, Young-Jae grasped onto it with both hands. He had been introduced to a group of teenagers in his school who became his first, but also lead him down a narrow, dark path. Drinking, drugs, beating other students up for money. He did it all with them whilst going back home and pretending he was the perfect schoolboy for his parents. There was just something so exhilarating about it all. The adrenalin of knowing they could be caught at any moment and whatever they were doing was, well, bad.

At the age of sixteen, while most of the other students in his school were studying for their exams, Young-Jae was getting high and drunk with his friends, listening and singing to rap music, and hooking up with his girlfriend, Eun-Ji. It wasnโ€™t long after losing his virginity, however, he discovered that Eun-Ji was pregnant with his child.

And so, at the age of seventeen, Young-Jae became a father. His parents had been genuinely upset about the whole situation. However, they instead offered a place for Eun-Ji to stay as her parents kicked her out of home. They wanted to ensure that their grandson and his mother were safe and secure. For three months, Eun-Ji and Young-Jae lived with his parents whilst raising their son, Min-Seok, together. That was until Young-Jae returned home one day to find their son screaming from his cot and no one around. His parents were both at work and Eun-Ji was meant to be looking after Min-Seok. Young-Jae tried to call her multiple times, but she never answered. He searched high and low for her, but she never returned. It had been quite clear that he had got what he always wanted; excitement like in a k-drama.

Young-Jae left school and began to focus on making sure his son had a bright and successful future. There was no time for drinking, or getting high, or even making music anymore. He needed to ensure they had money and so he wouldnโ€™t leech off his parents for the rest of his life. There were even some days where he would work twelve-hour shifts because his parents would offer to look after Min-Seok for a while so he could catch up with friends. Well, what friends? They all left when Eun-Ji became pregnant.

Just after his 20th birthday, Young-Jae had been working his midnight shift at a local 7/11 shop. It was past two in the morning and the boy had been stocking up the shelves, singing along to the song on the radio, when a group of businessmen walked in. He greeted them before continuing with stock up and singing along. Well, wasnโ€™t it his lucky day as these men just happened to be from Que Entertainment. One of the men approached him, questioning if he had ever thought about auditioning within the entertainment industry. And that was how Young-Jae ended up being scouted. He went to one audition and went in straight away.

He felt like he had been incredibly blessed to have an opportunity like this. Better yet โ€“ it was an opportunity to make a lot of money if they debuted and became successful. Money which he would spend on Min-Seokโ€™s future. However, in saying that, he also wasnโ€™t very truthful to the agency. He did leave out the small minor topic of the fact that he had a son. As far as they were concerned, Min-Seok was his little brother. And it would stay that way.

They meet up for dinner afterwards and Yuto proposes a pact โ€“ that in 100 days from now, they will all commit suicide together. [/div][/div][/div]
