HISTORY(BACKSTORY)
Born the daughter of a female prostitute, Avery’s mother, Mila, met her father, whom held the alias Hugo Stinivisky, amid an alley near a Los Angles strip club, selling herself as though she were an object of some sort, looking for money to keep herself living. She had run off at a young age, and was desperate to make ends meet. The mysterious man in black took up the offer, and in their fling, thus began a relationship that no one had expected. He told her that her wildest dreams would be reality, and she believed him, she was comfortable being with him. A month after this, Avery was said to be conceived. Mila, concerned she would lose the man she loved dearly, kept this a secret until he discovered by the third month into the pregnancy. Angered by this, Hugo urged her to have an abortion, though Mila then refused. She left the man to raise the child on her own, though she adored him dearly. Once giving birth to her healthy and alert baby girl, she could see clearly that there was something off about her. She radiated evil, or so believed. Those red eyes were something of the Underworld. Soon after, Avery was put up for adoption, and in the days that her papers had been up, a man by the name of Mr. Brunner stepped up, and took the child.

Being admitted into the camp immediately, Chiron and Dionysus were forced to raise the child on their own, as she was much too young to properly care for herself. There was suspicion as to who her father was, though it was not determined until she turned the age of seven, when she had accidentally been led from the forest by a sickening red light, and was forced from the barrier, only to meet face to face with a red eyed beast, a hellhound, teeth bared and prepared to strike. Though terrified, Avery convinced the beast that she was no threat. Soon enough, Chiron discovered her missing, and later found her playing with what she called, her dog, whom she had named Hugo, by unbeknownst coincidence. The symbol of Hades was found hovering above her head as she was led back into the camp, Hugo not daring to leave her side.

As she grew older, she was judged more harshly as an evil spirit lingering around the the camp, not seeing her as the intelligent and earnest girl she truly was, forcing her into a husk of what she once was, more opinionated and sarcastic, less enthusiastic and amused. Her only friends? Her brother, Nico, whom has long since left camp, and Hugo.


— POWERS/WEAPONS (IF ANY) Avery posses the ability to raise the dead, though it has taken her quite some time to summon complete armies, as it drains her the longer she keeps them animated. She cannot reanimate the recently deceased, rather the older souls appear simple to possess. She can also reanimate the skeletons of animals and non-mundane creatures. Similar to her brother, Nico, she can manipulate darkness and travel through it, as though teleporting. Due to training, she can transport at least three people without feeling light headed, though is easiest alone. As for her weapon, she carries a large scythe that can be converted into a simple comb that she can keep in her back pocket. Though Hugo is mainly in use of companionship, he is powerful, with jowls of steel and bite worse than his bark.

Hugo is considerably smaller for most hellhounds, but is as equally protective and viscous toward others. He stands at nearly five foot three, when on his hind legs, and weighs about as much as any large dog. He loves to take walks through the camp forest, and will forever stay by his owner’s side as the loyal and goofy energetic dog he is to her, no matter the slobber. It is rare to ever find him away from her, as their bond is unbreakable.

HISTORY

James was born, son of Zeus and Catherine Carter, a fairly poor woman from New York. She worked as many shifts as she physically could and still was hardly able to survive. She met Zeus under the alias of John Davis and immediately fell in love with him. He helped her with money and before she knew it, they were living together, living a seemingly happy life. Catherine couldn't hide her excitement once she found out that she was pregnant with their child. Zeus however wasn't very excited about it, he didn't want to care for a child, and that's when he admitted that Catherine had been nothing but a little fling to pass time.After he left, Catherine tried everything she could to care for herself and her baby boy. At James' age of 3, she fell in love with another man and they married soon after having known each other.That had been a bad idea.The man turned out to be extremely abusive, physically hurting both his wife and stepson for whatever small reason he could find. As a result, Catherine fell into depression, which made her turn to alcohol and drugs.When James was 14, he lost his temper after his stepfather had punched his mother unconscious and given him a bloody nose - and blew up. Little did he know that he had abilities, and thus his loss of temper resulted in the explosion of the apartment building they were living in, killing everyone but himself.James was found by Chiron and brought to the camp, where he overheard Zeus telling Chiron that he "didn't care for some loser" and didn't want to take care of him. Ever since, James has been training like crazy, trying to prove to everyone that he was no loser, and that he was worth something.
