He would stay there for hours doing nothing but watch the creatures go about.

Andrew was 5 when his brother was born. He didn't know why his parents were having another child, especially when they didn't seem to want to take care of them. Andrew's brother was named Holden, and he brought the family together for a short time. Andrew's mother started cooking again and his father read to the boys while flipping through the illustrated pages where the characters moved.

Holden was diagnosed with autism after a couple months, and once again their parents shunned them. Grigo and Andrew both became holden's caretakers. It was hard, even with magic. Andrew's mother grew annoyed by the child and suggested they take him to St. Mango's just to sort him out. Andrew said nothing was wrong with his little brother.

Andrew was soon a first year at the school at the Durmstrang institute, and during every school break he rushed home to show his brother what he had learned. Now, Holden actually was quite powerful. He had abilities but rarely showed them. Andrew remembered the first time he saw Holden use them, and it was quite interesting. He  ran up to a dead tree and hugged it once, causing it to bloom in the middle of winter and remain like that. It is probably still in bloom right now.

grigo wrote that was Holden starting to get irritable. His magic was uncontrollable and wild, and even grigo was unsure about what to do with him. Holden was 11 by then, and old enough to start school himself, but his parents thought he would bring shame to them.

andrew ignored them and the boys soon got to see the great durmstrang institute together. they weren't as manly and impressive as some of the boys, but holden was amazing at potions and andrew was the best seeker at the school.

the brothers returned home during winter break, the two of them nearly bursting with excitement at their new spells and what they had seen. their parents feigned interest for a while, but soon retired to bed while the boys and the house elf chatted away about it late into the night.

a few days later, while the boys were out shopping for gifts, the bus they were on was suddenly blown into the air. the roads were icy, and the bus fell on the street and rolled down a hill and right into the side of the building. andrew had seen the hooded figure with the wand who had done it, and he managed to get out of the wreckage with nothing but a broken arm and run after the witch. his parents had told him about that were part of a pureblood fanatic group that did the unspeakable to prove the point that they were the only ones who deserved magic. andrew alsmot went off running, but he realized he hadn't seen his brother get out. he went back to the bus, and the muggles were coming out dazed and injured, some dragging others out and looking confused and scared. andrew dove back in the bus, shoving bags and seats out of the way until he saw a flop of golden hair.

his brother suffered a traumatic brain injury, and he was taken to a hospital, and it was quite clear he would be either bed ridden forever or suffer other kinds of problems. andrew dropped out of durmstrang institute to take care of andrew with grigo since his parents weren't being as nurturing as he thought they'd be.

maybe it was the tiredness or the sadness, but andrew grew suspicious.

holden had been allowed to brew a various list of potions due to him being so good at it that older wizards had recognized his talent and allowed him certain access to potions usually kept locked up. holden had a small box of potions in his school bag, and Veritaserum was one of these. a few drops in his parent's wine during dinner and their darkest secrets rolled off of their tongue. they were part of the pureblood supremacist group, and they had ordered the attack on holden all because they hated the idea of a pureblood child who had a disability, even if he was getting admiration for his adeptness at potion brewing they couldn't see past his few flaws that barely affected the boy. andrew was revolted and ashamed of them, and he wasted no time reporting them to the ministry of magic for planned murder. andrew felt like the group his parents were in would attempt to get holden and now andrew due to him ratting their members out, so he and holden moved to Britain. St. Mungo's hospital seemed like the best place for holden to go, and the nearby school of hogwarts would prepare andrew for the plans he had in the future of becoming a HIt WIzard.

andrew was rather quiet during the rest of his 6th year, and he was surrounded by secrecy as well. he had become an amimagus shortly after coming to Britain, and he used his ocelot form to sneak off to the forbidden forest. the few who noticed his absence never ratted him out, and he continued doing this for the rest of the year. he was actually finding things for potions, and he would bring back his findings to holden's room in the hospital. holden had woken up from his coma during the last few weeks of school, but he couldn't talk or anything. the potion ingredients seemed to cheer him up, and he grew quite attached to the little metal cauldron andrew bought from a store in diagon alley that had an illusion of bubbling and stuff like the real thing. andrew wanted to take his younger brother to a safe house or something, but he wasn't eighteen yet, and holden's health was unpredictable. andrew didn't need his brother passing on his watch.

andrew decided to make hogwarts his home, and he trained as much as he could. he started being more friendly in his 7th year, and his old personality starting leaking through. andrew still went on trips to the forbidden forest, but one painting, some guy with a rather pointed nose and shoulder-length black hair, actually started helping andrew when he told the man what he was doing and why. the man in the painting even directed andrew to an old stash of potion ingredients that were still fresh. the man in the painting made andrew promise that he would let holden see him soon when he got better.

holden started brewing again, and under careful watch by the nurses, but it seemed to relax him. andrew visits his brother as often as he can, and he is on his way to getting his job as a hit wizard. since he's 18 and has all E's on his O.w.l.s, he could join the hit wizards right now, but he wants to graduate first. he's determined on getting those people who hurt holden back for their crimes.
