  1. In the modern world of man, a brave but scattered group of people from all over the world dared to stand up for a greater good. Trying their hardest and using their resources, and some even with special abilities, to fight crime and stop evil all around. One hero stood above the rest, and upon seeing these extraordinary people, gathered them together and helped form a league, indivisible, so that their goodness worked as one. This league was called 'The Global Shield of United Nations", as it not only served to protect the innocent but also as a safe haven for those with powers not yet mastered or understood. The founder of the Union, long having had his powers, took young, gifted individuals under his tutelage to use their powers to become great heroes. One day, he would even choose one of them to take over the G.S.U.N. once he was too old to go on. Unfortunately, the balance of good and evil is always maintained: Many a terrible individual thought to use their abilities and resources to gain power or riches, bringing themselves together through secular desires and forming the 'Ash Syndicate'. This was a much less organized union of villains, and banning together not being a strength in the selfish, most of their villains only joined as a mutual partnership to combat the heroes despite not standing each other on their own. While many of them would argue and complain about who their rightful 'leader' or 'founder' is, the most powerful of them all has a plan... Rid the world of the heroes so villains may reign supreme. Can the heroes stop the villains? Will the villains usurp the heroes? The collision of fates between good and evil is about to begin...!
  2. Skyhigh

Skyhigh, a boarding school to help youngsters contain their powers. The once small school has grown into a sprawling school for children and teens. Kids from elementary, middle, high, and even collage reside on this amazing campus. Sidekicks and Heroes are still kept separate for classes, but there is one difference... Sidekicks and heroes are paired together. They must participate in at least gym together. A group of three pairs will be put into special classes (Such as citizen saving partner) and they will compete in tournaments together. This is the new Skyhigh...

Birthright The conference room smelled of robust coffee. The espresso machine in the corner had been brewing since the first employees arrived at a quarter after seven; it was just past ten now. Orville had a steaming untouched cup resting on a coster beside him, but it would have to wait. The woman perched on the leather armchair across from him demanded his full attention. She had introduced herself as Bastet when she was escorted into the conference room. Orville noticed her attempt to conceal her age lines and guessed she was in her early forties. Her hair, likely dyed, was silky black and pulled tightly away from her face. Once seated she straightened her midnight blue handkerchief dress and settled her large handbag across her lap. "You can change your name but you can't change your blood." She mentioned his name again. It's the only reason she was brought back to speak with him. As soon as his men's suit store—O.L. Fields—opened its doors for business Bastet had sauntered in. When she asked one of the salesmen if she could speak with the owner, the well instructed employee replied that Orville wouldn't be in the store today. But Bastet knew better, and she dropped the right name—an old dead name that Orville's family had tried to bury long ago. "I have the same name that was printed on my birth certificate the day I was born." "It was a lie then, and it remains a lie today." Orville shifted uncomfortably but relaxed after locking eyes with Bastet. Despite her words her expression was free of condemnation. All of her mannerisms smacked of a cat and mouse game, and she was obviously set to play the cat. Orville thumbed his college ring. "What difference is it to you?" Pleased with his question she smiled and unfastened her handbag. With both hands she carefully revealed a brass and ivory jewelry box. She took a moment to pet the container and then she gently placed it down on the table in front of her. "Inside this box, Mr. Fields, is an heirloom—an artifact that needs to be reunited with it's bloodline." Orville furrowed his manicured brow and peered down at the ornate jewelry box. He could see his own reflection clearly in its polished trimmings. His finely tailored steel gray suit looked just as debonair painted in brass. He swiveled his armchair back to Bastet. "It's bloodline? You're beginning to sound mystical." "I ought to, I'm a mystic." He shook his head and sighed, but her smile continued to grow. "Do you believe in the occult Orville?" It wasn't a question he was prepared for. In his hesitation she began to search his face for the truth, which agitated him. "I'm rather agnostic about all of it." She nodded and reached out to tap her glossy fingernails across the jewelry box. Then she pushed it closer to him. "You won't be for long... Inside this box is a foci." "Come again?" Orville scooted to the edge of his seat. "A foci, a material link to the spirit realm. This one is yours Orville, it's your birthright." He reached for the box but stopped short; his fingers flexed apprehensively in midair. Then he snatched his hand back to stroke his tie as he chuckled. "Ah, I see where this is going now. You're selling me something." Bastet lifted herself gracefully out of her armchair and shook her head. "It's not mine to sell, I'm merely delivering it. And for that I've already been compensated." "By whom?" She peeked at her cellphone and then tossed it back into her handbag. Then she leaned forward until their eyes were level. That's when he caught the scent of her perfume—the espresso had overwhelmed it until then. Her next words were a breathy whisper. "You're not ready for that answer today, but you will be. Until we meet again." With that she sauntered out of the conference room. Orville didn't bother to say goodbye. He waited a few minutes before he stood up and addressed the jewelry box. The lid was lifted and his artifact was revealed: a green glass monocle affixed with a silver chain.
  4. Order of the Twisted (OOTT)

Ladies and gentleman, we have been kicked around long enough by these newfound superheroes. They have pushed us into the dirt, called us names, thrown us in jail, because we are taking drastic measures! We take risks to change the world, to take it over, and to prove that even a mentally ill person can rule Earth! We are the outcasts while they become stars! We get kicked aside for being freaks but they get glorified for being just like us! Therefore, to end the superhero regime once and for all, I give you.... "'Oot'?" the president of the IVA (International Villain's Alliance) cocks an eyebrow, looking at the carefully written speech by some random failed supervillain. "Yeah! Isn't it great?" the intern said excitedly, pushing her glasses up the bridge of her nose. "Villains underestimated by superheroes fighting to take over the world and succeeding! The underdogs make it to the top! What do you think?" "I think it's stupid." "Whaaaaa? But it took me forever to write this!" "Look. Sweetie. We aren't looking for a band of outcasts. I want the big guys, like Joker...uhh, Poison Ivy, Harley Quinn...the exciting ones." "But—" "Tell you what," the president continues. "I'll give you a group of supervillains to work with just for fun. Then we can see how much trash your idea really is." "R-Really?! Thank you, sir! I'll find a leader immediately!" The girl bolts out of the room excitedly, leaving the leader to sigh. "Urgh......time to check the archives." He gets on his laptop, searching, then he finds the lowest-ranking supervillains in the world. Those who had to go to the hospital because they picked fights with the wrong guy, or incompetent minions, trainees, or people who just have never lived up to their true potential, and he gives them a mission. Become members of the Order of the Twisted. ----------- Hello, Fem here! I've always wanted to do a roleplay about crappy villains, and this is my chance. I'm a very lax GM, but I'll hopefully come up with some decent rules and shit. This RP will be your classic underdog story, and it will focus mainly on the daily struggles of these inferior villains who are a part of an organization where they dump all the little guys. They try to take over the world, fail, and get back up again, eventually (maybe) becoming great. Will our heroes villains rise to destroy/take over the world (or whatever it is they're after)? Find out in this episode of Order of the Twisted!
  5. GODMODE

A shabby looking figure wearing a trenchcoat opened the door to his small apartment sanctuary after a long day at work. A few weeks ago, reports of random deaths, violent superhuman fights, and deadly vigilantes have filled the police department with tons of paperwork. He doesn't understand the recent surge of crimes and mysterious phenomenon. It something he couldn't fully explain. He walked into his makeshift office and looked at his favorite oak desk. On the keyboard of his laptop, is a small, flat, sleek, black box. He moved to it to inspect it further... the box wasn't there before and it gave him an eerie feeling that someone must have broke in his apartment. He picked up the box and saw a small, silver logo imprinted on the top cover. It looked like a flame with an eye staring straight at him. He carefully lifted the lid and a small black piece of paper with white type fell out of it. Distracted by the piece of paper, the man ignored the contents and picked up the sheet. He felt the paper's velvet-like texture between his fingers and was mesmerized by the clean typography of the type. It said the following: Dear Lucky Participant, Your unique characteristics and qualities have gathered our interest. We have been watching you carefully and we came to the conclusion that you are a perfect candidate to participate in our special experiment. Enclosed in this box is a god's name. We offer that god's jurisdiction to you. Once you pick up this object, you will receive that god's powers and abilities. Feel free to use that power however you wish. Consider it as a gift. We will be observing your progress, but we will not interfere with your choices. We hope you enjoy the gift we have given you. With great promise, Olympus Group The man immediately after reading the note, moved his eyes to the contents of the box. Contained in what seemed to be white velvet cloth is a sleek, black card... about the size of a credit card. There was a simple, geometric image on it of a man with a jackal's head. On it's edge are a grouping of strange symbols. the symbols didn't seem to be written in any known language... but the man somehow understood it. In his mind he could hear himself read the symbols... "Anubis". He picked up the card and smirked. He felt great power course within his body.
  6. So I have an idea for an alternate universe where Batman is a vampire (or becomes a vampire). The idea is how would things go differently for Gotham and its inhabitants. I was thinking you could be canon's or OC's and since I'm thinking this is near the start of his career nothing has been set in stone yet so things are subject to change within the universe. So friends could be enemies and enemies could be friends and so on. Feel free to post if you have any questions or just to show interest. Thanks for reading and I really hope to see you post.
  7. In the beginning there were only six sins gluttony sloth envy wrath greed and lust, but as time went on Satan better known as Trigon was summoned during a satanic ritual being performed by the sorcerers and sorceresses of asarath the main sorceress was the one offering herself to Satan, but they weren't expecting anything to happen because they didn't believe a Satan existed or a hell for that matter so they completed the ritual, but to their suprise satan the one they didn't think existed appeared in front of the very woman who was offering herself to him, at that moment satan or trigon as many know him took the sorceress of asarath to the bedroom up stairs and they made love, but as they were doing so he revealed his true form, he was the demon trigon somtimes known as satan and on that night a few hours later the sorceress gave birth to a baby girl was born, her mother named her raven and so the 7th deadly sin she would be as time went on she would be the sin of pride, but what nobody knew was that at one point in time their was already a seventh deadly sin known as anarchy he was also the god and father of all demons and ravens great great grandfather on her fathers side, her grandfather was a demon known as keros the almighty he was the first demon to have the power of the blue demon flame. NOTE:this is the only part of this role play/story i will be writing for now goodbye.

  9. Felix looked at the wall. There wasn't anything there - it was just better than looking at the broken, heap of a man on the floor in front of him, and Felix could think about other things like the lab report he still needed to finish for class, or what he wanted for his birthday, or so many other things that didn't include him standing right here, right now. He didn't know where Dad was. Elliott had picked him up after school, while Felix waited at the bus stop, saying he had to job to do, and then they left. "Do it, Felix," said Elliott, who was standing next to him. Elliott was a complete beast of a man, full of muscles and thick, strong skin that was nearly impenetrable. Felix wasn't entirely sure if Elliott had any powers, or if he was just naturally as tough as he was; either way, Felix's power had never worked on Elliott with any effect, which was why Dad always sent him to take Felix to any jobs. "Do I have to?" mumbled Felix, but Elliott just stared at him. The others were taking steps back, giving the teenager a wide berth - the man on the floor was barely conscious, probably totally unaware of what was about to happen to him. The warehouse didn't hold any heat. It was early December, and Felix was freezing, even as he huddled in his coat (Canada Goose) and tugged at his scarf (Armani). Drops of snow drifted through broken eaves, and Felix wished he's brought an umbrella. He rubbed at his dark hair, looked at the wall again, and sighed. A warehouse by the river was such a cliche place to do this sort of thing, but Dad liked to keep his business was clean as possible. Once Felix was done torturing this poor man for information, Elliott would dump his body in the river, and then Elliott would take him back home and Felix would go back home and do his homework and pretend that this hadn't happened. There was no physical indication that Felix was using his power. He did nothing but close his eyes, trying to think about other things, as a slow drop of fear eeked through the room. In his mind's eye, it was like a pool of tar, growing across the floor until it engulfed the feet of those standing around him. Elliott was already stained, but he had no reaction (and never had, as far as Felix could remember), and it was starting to move towards the broken man who had somehow angered Felix's father. Edrian Avenicci did not forget a slight. "W-wait, stop," said their victim, who seemed to suddenly understand - with horrifying clarity - what was going on. "Stop, stop, please, I'll talk! Stop!"
  10. [bg=#662233][border=10px solid white] IMPORTANT MESSAGE BEFORE I GIVE THE SCHPEEL As you saw from the prefix, this is a DETAILED RP. I will be expecting more than one-liners or a single paragraph in IC if this RP takes action. *Sigh*, I sounded like a pompous ass there. Anyways, back to your usual proposal. [/border][/bg] [centerblock=55][bg=#662233][border=10px solid white] [/border] [/bg] [/centerblock] [bg=#662233][border=10px solid white] "Welcome to Gotham Academy, the most prestigious school in Gotham City. Only the best and brightest students may enter its halls, study in its classrooms, explore its secret passages, summon its terrifying spirits…"~Gotham Academy Vol 1 Synposis [border=1px solid #662233] [row][column=span4][accordion]{slide=[bg=white][border=10px solid #662233]PLOT[/border][/bg][border=1px solid #662233][/border]}[bg=white] To most outsiders, Gotham Academy looks like your average prep school. Though once someone begins to attend the academy, they would realize that something is wrong. No, the teachers aren't brainwashing the kids. No, there aren't traps at every corner. Instead, it's due to the architecture of the building. In the beginning, the building used to be the residence of the Cobblepots (the Penguin's ancestors to be exact). Unknown to most, there was a series of secret tunnels underground, connecting Gotham Academy to Arkham Asylum. In the present, there are supervillains. Wether it's Mr. Freeze, the Joker, or Poison Ivy, they get sent to Arkham when they were defeated. It wouldn't be a stretch, if they used these tunnels under Arkham to escape. This in turn, caused the villains to find themselves in a prestigious academy. Usually hiding themselves, they still happen to make noise and generate remnants of their arrivals. This had led to many believing Gotham Academy is haunted by ghosts, and thus, the detective club was formed to investigate these claims. The main characters within this RP will be members of the detective club, investigating various mysteries. Most of the scenarios will be centered around supervillains, messing around with the students either intentionally, or unintentionally. The members of the detective club will attempt to catch the supervillain, and hopefully put an end to their stay in Gotham Academy. The ending to this could go two ways. Persuasion and/or trickery, or a superhero will come to the scene once the supervillain has been led to a public area. Students may the able to sympathize with the villain if the villain is rational enough, or the students could use their brains to come up with a way to eliminate the villain. This is to avoid reliance on superhero activities and general heroism to build a character. Instead, characters will be normal citizens of Gotham. For to have the RP work, when there is a supervillain reveal, we can't have everyone beating the @!$@ out of the villain with their Superman/Batman/Flash skills. 11. [border=5px solid SlateGrey][bg=SlateGrey] [/bg] The City of Eden is perfect. The economy is growing. The laws are obeyed. The civilians are peaceful. The superheroes that keep watch are strong and kind. It's disgusting.[/border] [border=5px solid SlateGrey] Welcome to Eden, scumbag. They think their city is safe from being turned into rubble, they think their houses safe from being burned to the ground, they think their lives safe from being toyed with for your amusement. They thought wrong. You want to join The Chaos Crew, one of many rival underground "cape" gangs in Eden. Capes are those gifted with powers beyond the normal human abilities and become superheroes and sacrifice their lives for the good and protection of others. Hoods, on the other hand, well, that's you, passing up goody-two-shoes charity for destruction and violence and mayhem, oh my! You have powers and you just want to have fun, and you hear that the Chaos Crew is one of the up-and-coming underdogs in the subversive supervillain arena. And the Takeover Games are coming, and you're a hot contender. Setting things on fire with your eye lasers? Piece of cake! Building mega-robot armies to assault the good guys' headquarters? Too easy! Overwriting civilian minds with dog brains? Hilarious! Blending into the normal human populace? Ha, as if! The Takeover Games are a winner-take-all showdown between gangs of Hoods (Villains), Capes (Heroes), and the Innocent Townsfolk Collateral. Your goal? Utter domination of the city, eradication of the Capes, and rulership of Eden itself. Good luck, you lowlife! So, an idea for a roleplay I've had for a while now, then had it cemented into my brain while reading Worm (a fantastic web serial, recommend 10/10). The plot is pretty basic at this point: You're a bad guy and you know it, might as well have fun with it. You can be anywhere on the morality scale; from a heartless killer who wants to watch the world burn to a "misunderstood" Cape antihero who just happens to fall into the wrong crowd to make yourself known. Powers are wide and varied, you can make up your own, no limits. However, I will be vetting your characters for originality and personality, there will be no hesitation in rejecting "I work alone and have power over darkness and shadows and goth music"-type characters, crawl out of the villain stereotypes and bring us your baddest! Welcome to the Chaos Crew! [/border]

In addition to my current roleplay, named Awakening, I'd also like to make a superhero type roleplay as well. Basic Synopsis You don't know us, you've never even heard of us. But we are here. I guess we are like superheros, we are certainly special enough. But we are far from supernatural. Our abilities are scientific in nature. If you meet us you'll never know. We are Sactuary, protecting this world from those who would do it harm. Aliens, Terrorists, Supervillians, you name it. You may think it is make believe, but it is our life, whether we like it or not. ---- This roleplay will be about five superheroes who save the world and fight crime on a regular basis. However, it will not have major superpowers. There will be superhumans, but not on the level of Superman and those like him. It is more along the lines of Batman type superhumans, with some advanced technology. More would be explained if the roleplay is made. I need four other people to be part of Sanctuary with me, however character creation doesn't end there. Other superheroes, who aren't part of Sanctuary will be needed, villains as well. We'll need antagonists. Currently, I am not sure what to put as the prefix, but I'll set it as fantasy for now as I need one. What do you think? Should it be Fantasy? Realistic? Futuristic? I plan on having the roleplay take place in modern day. I'd also like it if you could guarantee that you won't drop out of the roleplay shortly after it starts. I understand the problems of life and the like, but just dropping a roleplay is kind of mean to your fellow roleplayers.
