oh no, i meant the rulebooks and such are available online. my favorite games of theirs rn are Masks (which is like a coming of age story for teenage superheroes) and Blades in the Dark (Victorian-era heist game, with ghosts! and demons! and magic!)
i hope you find something you like with them!
just gonna butt in to say, if you like narrative over combat, try any of the Powered by the Apocalypse games. their books are free online and they have a game for almost every genre. they basically streamlined the dice bits and focus a lot more on characters, relationships, narrative, etc. in...
thanks for the suggestions! i've used Picrew a few times tbh, but what i usually end up doing is i just...draw my characters. lol. if i have enough prep time for an rp, i just draw my character myself to save on the hassle 😂
big same on not liking word counts and the use of "literate" to describe your rp style. if being literate means you write several paragraphs, what does that make people who don't write as much? illiterate? i've seen a lot of "advanced literate" writers who, yes, could write 1k words for a post...
oooooh an idea 👀 yeah that'd be neat! just Severa leading Jeanne leading 10 other maids, all of them with clipboards in hand trying to puzzle out the least murdery seating plan
true 🤔 tho for me it's more of i kinda assumed everyone already had their own plan and i didn't want to butt in 😅
besides the whole nobles gathering, is there gonna be a Big Event or Problem that kickstarts the plot? i was thinking Jeanne would just be helping with the servants otherwise, or...
i love the idea of playing detective with everyone in the first few days of the rp 👀 i think it'd be a good way to see how everyone thinks and reacts and interacts with everyone else. plus i love mysteries
yeah!! that'd be neat and tbh, makes the most sense. he'd have been there for her entire career at Blackrock so everything she knows about being a Good Servant to the Cainhursts, she probably learned from him. i shall dm you once i am.......properly awake
i love "weak" characters like that tho 👀 it's so much fun when they get caught or trapped or whatever and have to find a way to wiggle out and just RUN
Jeanne's from there!! tho she hasn't been back since she was 13...
speaking of, if anyone (especially the Cainhursts) needs a servant to plot with, my DMs are open ✨
i mean after the first one dies, having them all be named the same thing makes it easier for ulfric. is it good parenting? no. is it smart? also probably no
