- I'm 30 and female
- I like watching anime, reading comics, and playing video games (but not a lot)
- and I also watch the stock market as a part-time job
As for my writing style. I write in paragraph format, but sometimes those paragraphs are super long. I like shorter replies because I'm a...
Oh, that's a good way of looking at it.
You're very informative, MrThe. Thank you for help and insight.
Do you have a suggestions on books (history and/research related) or do you think internet sites would be good enough?
Oh, the wonderful world of wiki. That's the page I came across when researching the general language. Though, now that I look at it, the subdivision section isn't too well oganized; some listings are for a language branch, while others is a group of people that accompany the given language...
You mention the regions, do you think there is a particular area of the Aztec empire I should research?
For my project, I planned on combining the today's-modern tribe member life with the fantasy elements from Aztec lore.
The conversation was some time ago, but I assume they meant their ancestors immigration from China. I have not researched too heavily into Mexico's history.
Oh, that's interesting; though, I shouldn't be surprised. The reason why I decided to research the Aztec empire alongside with the Native...
Do you by chance have an interest in spy-revolved worlds?
The Tupi tribe might be different, but from my research on the Shoshone tribe and generalized Native American culture research, Native American culture is related the Aztecs, which I do believe Mexicans are also related to.
It's you again!
You replied to my sci-fi and science tread not too long ago.
I read a few of your own threads, too; seems like we have a lot of x-cross interest in our topics.
From what I understand, a lot of the Native American tribe formed from the South America/Mexico area, and from a couple...
Does anyone else on here by chance love doing research on Native American lore and mythology?
Looking for a research buddy to help bounce ideas off of. :closed eyes open smile:
I focus on the Eastern Shoshone tribe for real world research (since that's the tribe I wish to focus on), but I've...
True enough. Why keep something if it doesn't add to anything?
Though, I'd like to keep the sibling, so I'm trying to figure out a way that makes the character not a third-wheel. I have major planning ahead of me.
This is what I do, and I agree, when you intertwine character histories, the characters are closer. I don't intertwine everyone to everyone, but I try to link a support/secondary character to leading characters. Sometimes it's a struggle to figure out that intertwining story. Maybe that's a clue...
Makes since that you would treat a RP support character differently than that of a personal project. Why waste the RPer's time if no one cares about said support character.
Ah, I should decide how the character would impact the leads and/story outside of them being a lead's sibling.
Here's the kicker. I created the character with a mind set of making them important... and I can't come up a decent arc that could focus on them.
It's as though when I try too hard is when the characters fizzle out. It's a strange thing. But I get it, even if the siblings doesn't obtain an...
Do you think everyone in the cast needs a fleshed out history and/or arc?
I'm working on a story, and I figured one my leads should have twin, but I'm struggling to give said twin a decent character arc to give them an important presence to the world.
Right now, it feels as though I can omit...
While true, but sometimes I feel there are some works that say it's sci-fi, but don't apply a science/tech behind it that could make it seem possible, so they don't explain it. Perhaps the term sci-fi means different things to others, but to me, it means the non-real world tech and science is...
Out of curiosity, does anyone else here apply real-life science and theories to stories within the sci-fi genre?
I am currently researching the how meta powers would be possible in a modern Earth setting.
Like for example, I read how telepathy could be possible via radio waves.
The research...
Natsume's Book of Friends is slice-of-life with supernatural elements. It's the only slice-of-life anime I own on my shelf, which says a lot because I hate slice-of-life. It's about Nastume growing as a character after he stopped shutting himself off from others due to yokai using the people...
