People who like to get all up in their feelings about people using an anime FC but see nothing creepy or wrong about using a real FC.
So you have an issue with this person using and anime FC but you using someone's real face is totally fine?
When people clearly have an issue but pretend like they don't, this is one of the reasons I avoid heavy topics of discussion in OOC.
For example:
Side A: Steak
Side B: Lobster
B is really heated over the fact A prefers steak over lobster. We suggest the topic be dropped, we ask if B still...
I've never personally dealt with this problem but my friends have and it just sounds annoying to me.
Okay so apparently in fandom RP OCXCC someone will offer to play any character but sometimes if they secretly don't like the character you picked or if they secretly didn't want to double but...
When people hold the RP hostage to try and get their way. This of course is only an issue in group RP essentially for one reason or another a person will refuse to reply until they get X demand met.
For example, there was an RP I did a very long time ago where a person in the RP decided he...
Meta-gaming. Like people making their characters do things that are out of character or make no logical sense because they know something irl.
One of the most ridiculous instances I remember is an RP where it was magic vs tech and essentially magic was illegal. My character was a magic user...
I started implementing age requirements when I half ass started to have to parent my partners. I've had a partner who straight up told me they were on punishment but were sneaking onto the computer because their parents were asleep. I guess that's how I know I've matured because when I was a kid...
When you plan out a roleplay get 2 replies in and your partner just bails...like you had a whole planning period to back out and say you weren't feeling it. I mean it is what it is but it's annoying.
Having an idea for a roleplay but you think it would work best as a group RP but really not having the patience or motivation to GM for a group anymore.
Willfully ignorant people and people that like to play dumb, people who purposefully choose to misunderstand someone even though they know full well what they meant but what to be technical so they can argue with people.
I mean the RP itself wasn't focused on his character it just kinda played out that way, everyone's character was just kinda drawn to him, he earned their respect, friendship and even their ire if you wanna count the main evil guy and his crew. This was not done on purpose it's just how it happened.
Particularly a group RP? Not someone with main character syndrome but someone the group just unanimously agreed was the main character. I ask because remember an old RP I did a long time ago and me and my then friends were all joking around, talking about how much we enjoyed the story we had...
You know the funny thing is. I didn't like Sakura either at that time, but she 100% dialed up all her bad traits to 100. Like Sakura was annoying in part 1 to me but this was just...oh my God I couldn't stand it and it didn't make me dislike Sakura more it made me dislike this girl.
But yeah...
I don't know, I know some people like to play canon characters, I will say I mostly see it in fandom RP if the GM has a first come first serve rule, basically meaning whoever asks to play x canon character first gets to play them and no one else, but sometimes I see people play canon characters...
Now I don't play canon characters noting against it just don't trust my ability to play a pre-established character accurately. However, I cannot stand when people choose to play canon characters they clearly have a hate boner for just to shit on them. Like they portray them in the worst way...
