The complexity and nuances of reality make it so any non-trivial statement made about it, if it does not abstract from those them, will by the limitations of the human mind or of the human language at least, fail to account for them in full, and thus always contain some falsehood. In fact, it may even be that trivial statements may be unneeded in that formulation, as they are often -if not always- abstract or narrow themselves.

So what does that say about your monologue just now?

As it is abstract it is not excluded from being true.

Incorrect, though perhaps it is the fault of the wording of my previous response. When I said "it is not excluded" I was referring to not being excluded by the statement rather than in general. My statement does not exclude things which are abstract from being true- but other things might imply a particular abstract notion is not true.

That being said that platypus statement is anything but abstract. Absurd sure, and hypothetical, but not abstract.

In complete honesty, while I was genuinely curious I also kind of just wanted to make an avatar reference.
