I love how simultaneously isolated and connected everything was in the Middle Ages. There was very little communication, but ideas could spread across the entire world. I love the complex social structure and the dicotomy of a society built on peace and love with the reality that they're just a bunch of brutal savages. Plus many other reasons.
Well, the Medieval Ages sound like society today. We are isolated in our homes but connected through the internet. We produce memes that take little effort to make but they can spread through the entire world. Our social structure is so complex that it often gives me headaches (just kidding, it just frustrates me). And our society is built on peace and love but in reality we are just a bunch of brutal savages, aren't we?
Is there anything specific about the medieval ages you'd like to explore?
Since the Medieval Ages and society today are so similar, is there an interest you have in today's world that may be the equivalent of one in the Medieval Ages?
Hah, sorry for troubling you while you're so exhausted. I just wanted to engage in small talk and see where it would lead. I thought it might help if I break the ice a little. We aren't just writers, we're people after all.
Oh, but there were terrible times in the Middle Ages. But knowing that times were terrible back then and knowing how people responded to them is comforting.
Does this mean you're leaving? Catch you again later, Rusty.
It's cool! Currently I'm watching Avatar: The Last Airbender and Haikyuu! with my girlfriend. I have a lot of interests, and it honestly depends on my mood. Sometimes I like dark, moody fantasy, other times I like more light hearted romps.
I used to watch those kinds of shows, but I've changed. There's something that old school shows have that are missing in today's shows. I'd like to invite you to watch one such show sometime, I can post it here if you'd like. I have everything, from childishly light to just right to something heavy for the heart.
