XD Thanks! I thought it was interesting too. I never noticed how words could do that until someone pointed it out in a video. Language really is a funny thing.

Yeah it's really fun. I love language and it's absurdities and weirdness. Nice to be reminded of some of the funny ones I hadn't thought about in a while. XD Oh... and to follow on from your examples about awe and how that's used as both bad and good (awful/awesome) I was thinking about how terrific used to mean terrifying and now means great and how those negative meaning words turning positive often come through slang like in my day "wicked" and then later "sick" etc. People of each generation get annoyed at these words changing but it's been happening for hundreds of years so they should learn to deal with it. XD

YES lol someone gets it. Language is sooo weird, it warbles and changes all the time. Those are some really good examples, good catches. I mean, I consider social changes to words entirely valid, they're what decide the language of our future. I didn't always think like that XD But ya know.

I don't care what anyone says. I will die on the hill that "yeet" is a real word.

"Awful" does that too ^;3^ English is such a weird, cool, constantly changing thing.

One of my favorite books is Jane Austen's Northanger Abbey, and you can see the changes happening in it. She gently points out "nice" and "horrid" as examples that meant different things even then.

If you're like me, and you're from New England, we use "wicked".

I'm from Old England and I use it. XD

Ha ha I mentioned awful!

If we're talking Jane Austen, the way she uses "condescend" as though it's a good thing is something to look out for. In the modern day getting condescended to is a bad thing but Austen says it like "Oh jolly good old Lady Fartingworth condescended to speak to us at the dinner table"

She's so fond of irony though it's hard to tell if she seriously thinks it's a good thing or just being facetious. ^;3^
