Thank you so much! I'm very flattered! <3 I've poked my head into a couple of RPs you participate in, too, they look just lovely.
You've made my morning. :)

Luckily, I ran into a few awesome guys and gals here on RPN, and they create more great rps than I could possibly join. And I'm glad to share a bit of happiness, accidentally had a surprisingly enjoyable lunch break, after all :)

Awh, how lovely!! It's still very active, I'm thankful for players who stick with it. My post frequency isn't very great, but everyone seems more than happy to wait. I'd offer a spot in the RP but honestly I don't think I can take anymore lol! Hence the "closed" tag on it.

Haven't participated in quest rp's for a while, but most that I followed went at an even slower pace, I believe; quality trumps quantity, or something like that. And no worries, already saw the tag - I'm happy to lurk in the shadows :) With how you're running things, each vote makes quite the difference. That's how I found the rp, actually - saw the interest check for it and asked myself: How did this work out? Glad it's running so well!

Oooh, yeah, it's been a real challenge from a writing perspective. Turning things from "Vote on an action" into "Literally anything you say can and will happen" is quite the conundrum sometimes. You can't have any real solid plans for the future of the RP, since someone could just throw a curveball in there at anytime and completely hijack it all, lol.
I'm very pleased with it so far, though. I love that no one's actually left out of the action. Even if you get a bad roll, it still has some bearing on the story, even if only a little bit.
I'm always worried - especially lately - that I'm not including them enough. But what can you do? Just your best.

Doubts are always there - think your system works way better in that particular regard than the usual 'choose one of three options', though. Always the chance for players to throw said curveball and say: We wanna do something stupid instead, though! Plus, you avoid the typical 50/50-decisions that usually end up with half of the players leaving the rp on the spot; you know, those where the protagonist can save a single npc, and everyone wants their favorite to get out of there alive. I mean, dice can always ruin things, but everyone gets the chance to do what they think is the right thing.

Ahh, yeah, that's very true! I have to admit, I've not seen/participated in tons of standard quest RPs. I didn't know people would up and leave if a decision they didn't agree with came to action... But it makes sense, and that'd create a lot of tension. It is nice to be able to have everyone participate. And it doesn't matter if the main character's actions don't make sense... the narration completely acknowledges this, and thus puts it under the guise of comedy. It'd probably be a lot more difficult to do if the theme were drama, horror, or anything else meant to be taken seriously.

Well, it's certainly a little overexaggerated, it wasn't like half of the group just walked away instantly - but if the rp takes an entirely different turn than you'd hoped for, that can certainly take away the fun of participating. You know, a few of the regulars posted once or twice, then slowly vanished... that sort of thing. The genre, of course, helps a lot. I mean, most people like to do stupid things when given the chance. Heck, in one quest rp, we wheeled our motorcycle instead of riding on it because I made a joke and others went with it. Can't really do that kind of thing in a horror rp, or something like that. You know, one stupid idea can break the entire mood, and that's harder to do when it's all about the ridiculos ideas people can come up with (mushrooms, anyone?).

Just stopping by to say I'm enjoying seeing two people I really like getting to know each other. <3 Carry on!

Kaerri Kaerri Aww! :) I've not interacted with them before, but I have seen them in Dann's RP! The friend of my friend is... my friend. :P

Silanon Silanon See, that stuff right there is the stuff Project Anarchy is for, lol! Wheeling a motorcycle down the road, eating bright blue mushrooms off the ground, it's those hilarious moments that can make RPs like those really memorable, and it's always the moments you don't expect. You can't plan these things ahead of time. That's the whole fun of it!

Heya, Kaerri Kaerri - kind of accidentally stranded here and found a cool person to chat with - can't really ask for more, can ya?

Alrighty - carry on, she said. Had to do the stupid sleeping thing in-between, but here I am, following the suspicious trail of red alerts... where were we? Right, anarchy, as usual... didn't think about the name too much, actually, but you kind of nailed it with that one. Think it's cool how you managed to take the stuff that inevitably happens in quest rps (let's be real: if all we have to do is post a short reply every once in a while, we're supposed to try to do stupid stuff, right?) and turned it into the core of the concept. You know, there are those other quest rps where you're not quite sure how far you should go, and then there's this one that basically says: Do all the stupid stuff in here, I'll make it happen one way or another! Must be scary in the beginning, though, from the writer's perspective. Like, you might end up writing stuff that you're just not good at at all. I mean, this could've turned into a space travel, or an underwater expedition by now.

Oof, stupid sleeping things. Gotta hate those ;P

Awh, you're too kind :smilepuff: And yeah, I was very intimidated by where the story would go. Actually, I'm down to write nearly anything, but the scariest part was the problem of actually keeping the main character alive. Making our little Sue go through enough misery to reflect the peoples' decisions and bad rolls while still not outright killing her, hah! Like... You just climbed up a tree, fell down the tree, are being chased by bees, and now have a mushroom-induced drug trip to deal with. The question is no longer "How can we solve this situation", but is now "Maybe let's not die".

Plus I still get nervous now and again about my writing. I know it's kind of how RPs work to start off strong, but then the writing wanes over time. I think it's inevitable to some extent, but I really do want to keep my writing engaging and humorous. Which is not usual for me, since I love going the drama route in any given RP/Movie/TV show/entertainment.

Who knows? Maybe this one will start taking itself more seriously down the road. As for now, though, it's still mainly a comedy.

Didn't think about the survival part - I mean, it's hard enough to keep everyone alive in group rp's in general, I reckon, especially with dice involved. But here you've got an entire group trying to kill a single person. I mean, not directly, of course, but you know - the result's pretty much the same. All the stupid things people always wanted to try, and all of 'em happen to the very same person; makes you wonder what Sue did to deserve that. You know, before she somehow ended up in the woods without the slightest memory. Maybe we'll find out - I mean, that drawing will clearly help.

Certainly hard to not let things slide over time - you know the character so damn well at some point, so you think a little less effort won't make a big deal - and then at some point, you think: What happened? Had this with one of my characters a few weeks back, Dann had to work his way through a bunch of posts that where thrice as long as usual while I tried to get back on track with my writing. Surprisingly worked, still playing her and I'm having a blast, but it's tough to get there. And quests don't really give you the opportunity to just randomly rediscover a character, I'd think. Damn, quests seem hard to do properly, that's probably why there're so few of them out there... you got this, though, (insert motivational speech, can't really write those, I'm afraid...)

Somehow, I try to imagine a Titanic-like ending for the rp - you know tears, and death, and all the romance and drama one can think of - and then I imagine how she'd just pull out that sphere of hers in the midst of it, just to see if there's something else she can try to let it do something. Maybe one day, who knows; think there are quite a few comedy posts yet to come till you get there, though :)
